Execration
Chapter 5: Sanctuary
Previous Chapter Next Chapter‘The flesh is tender when the teeth begins to sink in.’
The darkness was no stranger or friend to you as you descended down the steps that led you down to the second floor. The door was destroyed, which you remembered happening when you were chase by that mad officer, that inmates bust it down. You felt it was better off heading further down the steps, since light was dim but illuminating further as you look down from the rail. When you reached the end, you saw that the door was already open and the hallway was littered with fallen objects such as vases, picture frames, wheel chairs, and trash.
There were lights that dangled from the strings attached to the ceiling, flickering lightly, but providing a visible path for you to walk on within this hellish facility that she, the devil in disguise, had ruined herself. You noticed that there was water on the ground, coming from the ceiling that was half burnt off from the fire that consumed the place and torched the sprinklers. You did not wish to stay in this place and question the falling facility for too long, and started walking down the wet floor, heading to wherever the exit was at.
You eventually stopped, took a deep breath, and hid to the corner near a room, once you heard the sound of objects being tossed around. You peeked and spotted some stuff coming out of a room, and soon…a White Coat male falling hard to the ground, covered in bruises and cuts that were fresh on his skin. The Tall Man, which your heart froze upon yourself in the sight of his grimacing presence, walked out of that room, staring down at the poor White Coat that held out his hands to him in pleading mercy.
“No, please, everything we’ve done for you…we only tried to help you. Please, please don’t do this?” He begged, backing away until his back was pressed against the wall. The Tall Man continued to stare down at him before slowly walking towards him. You noticed that in his right hand was a rusty lead pipe, covered in blood that dripped on the ground.
“All you’ve been doing…is increasing the pain that I have kept within my soul; the very soul you all attempted to steal and give as a gift to your devil.” His tone was menacing, deep, and haunting as he brought up his lead pipe.
“No, that’s not it, none of that is true! We only tried to help save you, all of those procedures were meant not to hurt you, but to help you get well. Please, killing me won’t change anything, let me live, let me live!?”
“The Goddess has decided your fate, as her executioner, angel, worshipper; you are within the hour of judgment. Your life…ends here daemon.” He spoke.
“No!” The White Coat cried out before his voice was cut off once the Tall Man brought his pipe down with a powerful force, causing blood to splatter on the wall. The doctor was killed instantly from the strong blow to the head and was ruthlessly beaten until his face was unrecognizable. When blood had stained the walls and flowed along the water, the Tall Man stopped his brutality and stared off at the distance where you hid yourself by. You remained silent as he turned around and walked around the corner, heading down the hallway where you presume the exit lied in.
The Tall Man was no different than any other patient here in this place. What Goddess would cast judgment upon the people that would help you get better and be off with the community? You had to hurry out of the facility. When you walked down the hall and pass the body of the White Coat, you looked left and right and saw that path on your left was blocked by the debris that came from the ceiling, while the path on your right had led further down instead of an exit, but into a library. You never would imagine they would have another library around this floor, but you were lost after all, losing what sense you had in direction in a place that befallen into the depths of darkness.
You carefully made your way into the library and noticed that there was some dimmed lighting around as well as shadowy areas to conceal yourself in, just in case someone noticed you. You scanned your area carefully, noticing how the isles were large and placed around in a maze like pattern. Something gave you the feeling that finding the exit around here was going to be difficult. You entered into the maze of book shelves that towered over you and attempted to find your way out since most of the areas that seemed good to be short cuts were barricaded and just attempting to move them would resort in getting your position spotted.
Making your way around the maze felt too trite, similar to the tunnels within the throat of Charon. Your head however, felt dizzy, as a strange smell of smoke permeated in the air. The sound wood burning and strange chanting all said in Latin tongue and eventually changed into Pseudo-Latin was heard on the other side, just almost close to the exit as you continued your way out the maze.
“Dono meus, Mater, dono tua fillius…”
Over and over again you heard those ominous chants coming from the other side as you made your way out of the maze. You stood there in shock, staring at a White Coat, crucified upside down while fired was eating away at his body. In front of you were patients, praying while bowing down to the burning man. As you begin staring at his body, you saw him breathing, smirking at you with a sick grin that sent fear across your veins.
“We’ve been waiting for you.” He spoke, his tone was darker than the Tall Man’s and his words were poisonous as the madman that was struck by lightning. But his lips did not move, however, his words came from your head as you clearly heard them echoing through your ears.
“Come, child. Pray to your mother; let her know that you seek forgiveness for your sins. Understand that she loves all of her children, especially you.” For some reason, you did not had any control of your body as you started to slowly walk towards the burning man that was stuck to the wall under the pit of fire that had spread across his body. You stopped just near the edge, staring at him as the flames jumped at you, attempting to touch whatever you had on you.
“The fire…it purges everything it sees clean. It gets stronger each second our mother breathes. Its Purgation is unique, is it not? Do you wish touch it, or do you wish to let it touch you? Pray, child, pray so that she may guide you to the light.” His voice echoed as you fell to the side, unresponsive to your body as you stared at the flames. What emerged out of them was the horrifying devil you became frighten of.
Pinkamena slowly crawled out, uninjured by the flames that touched her naked skin. It may have burn away her cloths, but her body remained clean of the fire that incinerated the crucified man. When you stopped at you, she grinned, and leaned forward with her lips wet and pressed it against yours.
You suddenly woke up, staring at the bright lights in the ceiling while you were strapped to a metal table cart being pushed down an unknown corridor by the Tall Man. You started to struggle, attempting to break free from the leather bounds that were tight and well screwed in. You looked down at your chest and panicked once you saw that a large burnt mark was upon your chest. You could not understand why, but pain struck your body once you felt your body begin to burn from the inside. You had no idea what was going on, but you begged over and over again for the pain to stop. Sadly, no one was there to assist you in ending it as you continued being pushed down the long corridor.
“It seems my brother, Cain, has managed to get away in injecting you with that burning liquid. You aren’t going to die so soon. It is something that will slowly kill you if you don’t find the antidote fast. The only way you can possibly find it, is in the Laboratory floor, located deep in the underground, beneath the prison quarters.” The Tall Man said, looking down at you as you suffered from the burning pain. “Heh, it is sad, child, you struggle as if you are going to escape this place…but you can’t. You are bound here by the Goddess. You were foreordained to stay here, no matter what.”
When he pushed you through one last door, he took a turn left and pushed you into a large room. Your eyes widened as you realized that you were brought into an atrium where both White and Blue Coats hung from wires upside down without any heads. But their heads, to your gruesome shock, were set on the chairs above the balcony, staring down at the center of the room where the Tall Man left you at.
“I wonder still, why does she want you?” He questioned you in a sadden tone, unstrapping the bounds before flipping the cart causing you to painfully crash down into the ground, groaning in pain before crying out from the burning sensation that overpowered all other feelings. “It does not matter now, I will be back. Behave, child.” He said, walking out of the room as a body fell down just next to you, causing you to scream in terror, moving back until your back was pressed against the wall.
You can hear his footsteps echoing down the hall as he walked away from the room, leaving you there. You clutched your chest, gritting your teeth in pain before breathing heavily as your tears seeped down from your eyes. The inside of your body burn, crying out in agony as you began crawling towards the sink. When you got to it, you grabbed the ledge and pulled yourself up, staring into the mirror before you. Your eyes widened as your heart froze for a second when your body went into petrification.
You saw her, standing on the steps beyond the rails, staring down at you with her menacing grin. You turned around and saw only the steps and heads on the table, causing you to sigh in relief, but remain cautious. Your body continued to ache in pain as you continue towards the exit. When you opened the doors, you fell flat down on your chest, beginning to cough out blood. The sound of hollering and swears being toss left and right buzzed in the air as you looked around in terror finding yourself not in a hallway, but in the center of the prison floor you remember escaping from the blasted man who claim himself to being the warden. This was no prison, this was your sanctuary. They ruined it, she ruined it, and it ruined itself.
It was gone, all of it. Your home that kept you safe from the outside world had fallen into an abysmal hole of darkness. You crawled towards the stairway beyond a broken cell door that was ahead of you. Your body burn and your vision grew so clear. Your body was reacting towards the liquid substance that ran through your veins with an unmerciful touch. As soon as you got to the steps, a flash of light blinded your eyes and there, standing before you as you found yourself back in the long hallway that remained too trite for you to ignore, was the Tall Man.
Standing beside him was the facility’s goddess, the devil in your eyes, the woman with pink hair, and the woman with blue alluring eyes. Pinkamena Diane Pie licked her lips as you soon felt yourself becoming too tired to remain awake. When your eyes close and your vision fell into darkness, only her ominous giggle and you swore her malice grin was directed towards you as your body was lifted off the ground.
