When Pinkie Pie wakes up one day, she realizes she is not Pinkie Pie anymore, instead she has grown taller. Pinkie seeks Twilight's help, only to uncover a secret, a secret in which Celestia has kept for centuries.

Prologue
Prologue
Pinkie Pie wakes up in bed, “Yawwwn. That was one heck of a party last night. Now to make more ponies happy by singing aloud whilst walking in Ponyville.” The pink-maned pony walked over to a calendar, checking the date, before bouncing up and down “Oh yay! It’s Wednesday!” She bounces down the stairs, right into a green-scaled alligator’s face,
“Heeeeey Gummy! Today is Wednesday! Happy Wednesday!”
She sings into the alligator’s face, the alligator had no reaction and just stared at Pinkie, as if looking at a stranger, before backing away. The pink mare, shocked by his reaction, exclaimed, “You silly Gummy, it’s me Pinkie! What’s up with that look?” Gummy crawled closer to Pinkie, sniffed and proceeded to bite her head before falling on the ground, crawling into his basket and falling asleep. “That’s more like it, Mr Gummy! Hmm, why did he become so... not-gummy? Ah well, probably a mistake.”
The pink-maned mare then went to brush her hair, eat a cupcake and tried to entertain the cake twins. Pound cake stared at Pinkie, ignored her and started to fly around the room. Pumpkin Cake glared at Pinkie as if she was some kind of intruder in the house, and started to use her magic to make toys glow, before the toys proceeded to whack the confused pink mare.
"What's wron- ow! With you guy-ow! Stop tha-ow! I know what wil-ow! Stop thi-ow!" The party pony then ran to the kitchen, dodging as many stuffed animals as she could, grabbing a bag of flour, she rushed back to the twins. "Look! Ta~da!" Pinkie emptied the flour sack on her head, now covered with white flour, the twins immediately stopped what they were doing and laughed. Pinkie Pie flopped on the floor, tired from having stuffed toys thrown at her.
"Phew! I still got it, i can still make them laugh."
After cleaning up, the mare proceeded to trot out the door,when she was about to leave, she looked into a mirror and gasped. “Who’s that? That’s not me! I’m not that tall! Eeeep! Stay calm Pinkie, there must be a logical explanation for this… But only alicorns are this tall! I need to know… But who to ask?" She paced around the house, as the cake twins wondered what their Auntie Pinkie was doing. "Dashie? Nope, she only knows how to play pranks. Rarity? Nope, dresses. Fluttershy? Nope, animals. Twilight? Of course! She would know what to do! She's a smarty smart pants!" With that she dashed out the door.
( HI there! I'm the author of this little fanfic.. It's my first time writing one, so criticize me! But not too harsh? :)
What's wrong with Pinkie Pie?
Pinkie didn't care even with the stares of the many ponies around her, she needed to get to the Treebary. Fast. Even the whispers, were ignored.
"Oh my gosh. When did Pinkie become so tall?"
"Maybe Zecora gave her a poison?"
"The horror! The horror!"
Upon reaching the Treebary, the pink mare knocked on the door. With no reply, she yelled at the top of her voice, "TWILIIIIII-IIIIIIGHT!" Hoping that Twilight would come out. "Oh Pinkie, that was a terrible impression of Princess Luna, but you did get the Royal Canterlot voice right... So what's up-" Twilight said as she opened the door, but soon stood mouth agape upon laying her eyes upon Pinkie Pie, "Oh my gosh, when did you get so tall and have WINGS?"
Pinkie looked at her body, to see a pair of filly-sized wings growing a millimeter every second. "Eep! I need help, Twilight."
"And quick," the purple maned mare eyed the growing wings gingerly. "Come in quickly!"
Both Pinkie and Twilight entered the Treebary. " I know I have a book around here somewhere about sudden growth in height and sudden wing growth." Twilight mumbled to herself, her horn started to glow, causing some books from the shelves to glow, flying out of the shelves one by one.
*squeak!* "I'm sorry, Princess, I didn't know you would be here. I'm sorry, terribly, terribly sorry. Please don't be mad, Princess - Pinkie?!" After her long string of words, the yellow Pegasus looked up to her surprise, to see Pinkie.
"Pinkie? How did you get so tall?"
"I don't know, I was all happy, happily cause of Gummy's after-party yesterday and my birthday, wetnt to sleepy-bye and /POOF/ I grew tall and got wings! But I can't remember happened from 2p.m. to 4p.m. yesterday."
"Oh. Rainbow Dash said you went crazy and was talking to inanimate objects."
" I was?"
"Ah-ha! Found it! I grew tall! " The book glowed and the pages began to flip furiously, Twilight's eyes darted fron side to side. "This phenomenon has something to do with your pre-mare years, a transformation from a filly to a mare! Yadda, yadda, yadda... A pony in this period of time would grow a few inches taller." Twilight began to read the book she found.
"A few inches?! THIS is NOT a few inches!" Pinkie exclaimed.
" Well, don't blame me! That's what the book said!"
"Well, you must know something, you are smart like what Dashie said!"s
"Well, I don't know!"
"guys?" Fluttershy meekly said.
"Well then, you don't know a single thing at all, Miss I know everything but can't help with a simple problem!"
" You take that back!"
"guys..." Fluttershy meekly said again.
" I only know you are a fake smarty!
"Pinkie, you take that back, don't make me use my magic on yo-"
"GUYS!" Fluttershy shouted loudly.
Twilight and Pinkie stopped their argument and stared at Fluttershy.
"Eep! I'm s..s..sorry for being so loud... *gasps for air* Why don't we ask Princess Celestia? After all, she is your teacher, Twilight."
"That's an excellent idea, Fluttershy! I know I got a teleportation spell here somewhere!" Twilight smiled,"However, a spell involving three ponies would be a big deal."
"Good, that's good, we shall go meet Princess Celestia." Pinkie muttered, her hair being a bit straight.
"Pinkie Pie, you look kinda pale. Would you like to stay in Ponyville while we ask Princess Celestia what's going on?" Twilight asked with a caring tone.
"NO! I mean... Princess Celestia would probably not believe the changes happening to me! We need to show her the proof!" Pinkie pointed a hoof at herself.
"But Pinkie. You do look kinda pale.. you should kinda stay behind... If you want to." Fluttershy added
Argh, why do YOU have to butt in? Pinkie thought in her head, "No no no no no! I wanna be there! Canterlot is the most superfantabulousfantasticalwonderfulous place in the whole wide world! I really want to go, it'd be fun!" The pink mare with a large grin on her face, said.
"Ohkay then! We are all going! Fluttershy, you can come too!" Twilight giggled, "Now to find that spell..." Twilight then proceeded to walk up the stairs to find her spell.
Pinkie waited for Twilight to be completely out of sight before talking to Fluttershy.
" Listen to me and listen good."
"What's wrong Pinkie?"
"Oh, don't 'what's wrong Pinkie?' me! If you keep me from getting to Canterlot and meeting Celestia, there will be one less pony down here. And it won't be me."
"Pinkie... I don't understand..." Fluttershy eyes started to well up..
"Just don't mess up, I need to meet Celestia! Oh yes, when twilight comes down, you better tell her your tears are because of sand. Also, don't try to leave. You already gotten yourself into this mess." Pinkie walked closer to Fluttershy, the yellow mare edged backwards before she fell to the dusty wooden floor.
"O..o..o..okay... Pinkie." The yellow mare, still on the floor, stared at the staircase, praying that Twilight would come down, at least one pony would make her comfortable.
Her prayers were answered. Twilight ran down the stair case, with a scroll enveloped in a glow. "Here's the spell! Fluttershy, are you crying? And why are you on the floor?"
Fluttershy looked at Pinkie, who in return gave her a glare. "Oh, I wanted to look at your large array of books, when I tripped and f..fe...fell. The dust on the floor got into my eyes." Fluttershy, got up and brushed some dust off her mane.
At least she's smart enough to think of that. The pink mare grinned.
"Alrighty then! Ready everypony?"
Pinkie and Fluttershy nodded their heads.
"Let me use all my power to bring us to Canterlot." Twilight began her spell. Her horn began to glow bright purple, then yellow, and finally pink. In a bright flash of light, they were transported to Canterlot, in the middle of a busy street. Ponies of high statuses began to stare. "Is everypony alright?" Twilight asked, ignoring the many ponies stares.
"I'm fine, j..j..just a bit dizzy." Fluttershy said whilst eyeing Pinkie Pie.
" Fine. Just fine." Pinkie said coldly.
"Pinkie, you have a horn!" Fluttershy exclaimed. Pinkie pie looked up, indeed there was a horn. "Oh, would you look at that, a horn, who knew." She remarked with an evil smirk. Did I just see that, did Pinkie have an evil grin? I must be imagining things, the teleportation spell has that effect on ponies. Twilight thought about that in her head, shaking that thought off, the trio proceeded to Celestia's Palace.
"An alicorn?!"
"I thought there were only two!"
"That's the silliest alicorn I have ever seen!"
The pink mare growled.
Upon reaching the palace, of course with the many stares along the way, Fluttershy had gotten even more frightened. "Eep! All those stares... Eep!" With that, Fluttershy covered her face with her hooves and cowered on the floor. "Useless, can't even bear with a few stares." Pinkie remarked coldly.
"What was that, Pinkie?"
"What was what, Twilight?" She replied with a huge grin on her face.
"Nothing."
"Halt!" the royal guards denied entry to the trio.
"You don't understand, I'm Twilight Sparkle and I need to speak to Princess."
The royal guards looked at each other before speaking," The Princess has been expecting you, Twilight Sparkle and you Miss Fluttershy. But, Miss Pinkamena Diane Pie cannot enter." Referring to the shivering figure on the floor and the tall alicorn like Pinkie Pie.
"She has been expecting us? Okay... I'm sorry Pinkie, you will just have to stay outside. Come along Fluttershy." With that, Twilight walked into the palace grounds. Fluttershy, however, stayed on the ground shivering, like a leaf." "Sigh..." Twilight's horn glowed, the glow spread to Fluttershy, who was then pulled into the palace grounds with Twilight.
The doors closed. Leaving Pinkie behind.
"Useless foals. Useless, useless foals." She muttered under her breath as she hung her head low. " Tia thinks she can stop me? Not so soon, my dear Tia."
With that, she smiled.
The secret
The purple-maned mare rushed into the court, dragging a yellow mare behind her. Stopping halfway, she turned to Fluttershy and said,"Fluttershy, dear, its fine now, nopony's staring." Fluttershy stood up from her crouching position and stared at her surroundings. Twilight sighed and turned around, rushing into the court (again). Fluttershy flew behind slowly.
Princess Celestia sat on her throne, with steely eyes, watching the yellow and purple mare. "I have been expecting you, my pupil. And you, Fluttershy." Twilight and Fluttershy stopped about a meter away from the throne and bowed, Princess Celestia gestured with a hoof for them to stand.
"Yes, Princess. Pinkie has been going through some strange chang-" Princess Celestia interrupted.
"I know."
"How?"
"Sigh. I knew this day would come. After all these years of suppressing her, she still managed to break through.
"Her? her who?" Twilight cocked her head to the side, sounding like an owl. "Pinkie?"
"Close. But not Pinkie Pie," Celestia shook her head and said with a grim voice,"Pinkamena Diane Pie."
Fluttershy gulped. I have a bad feeling that it wasn't hormones that caused Pinkie to do that just now.
"-giggle- Princess, Pinkie is Pinkamena! Pinkie is just a nickname!" Twilight giggled
"Oh dear Twilight, you are far mistaken. Maybe it's time I tell you the truth. A long time ago, my father and mother had three daughters, not two. And one of them was Pinkamena Diane Pie. Yes, this means that Pinkie is a Princess. In fact, the oldest, the most powerful, she was able to raise both the sun and the moon. She was a kindhearted, loyal, generous, honest, magical, laughing bundle of joy who was loved by ponies far and wide. However, when Pinkamena was 500 years old, Discord came. Pinkamena tried to stop Discord by herself, but he was far too powerful. He corrupted Pinkamena, she then turned on the town, ponies went crazy. Chaos everywhere. Luna and I had to stop Discord, if corrupted Pinkamena was not stopped, the world might be in peril. We defeated Discord, like in the glass," Celestia points a hoof at the stained glass picture of Celestia and Luna defeating Discord.
"But, Pinkamena remained corrupted. I had no choice but to turn her into an earth pony, no magic, no wings. Turned her into a foal and handed her to Mr and Mrs Rock."
"It's Mr and Mrs Pie, Princess Celestia." Fluttershy tried to correct her.
"Actually, Mr and Mrs Rock, I asked them to change their names to Pie. To fool Pinkamena. Then, I used all of my strength to wipe anyone's memory of Pinkamena being a princess. All these years, Pinkamena became Pinkie. Pinkamena is still trapped inside Pinkie, no doubt, trying to escape and become an alicorn again. So the times when Pinkie is mean, its actually Pinkamena at work."
The yellow mare stared at Celestia with big eyes,"So that's why Pinkie was so mean to me just now! Oh p..p..Pinkie." The shy mare sobbed into her hooves. "Pinkie a princess?" Twilight shouted a whisper to Princess Celestia. Celestia shut her eyes and nodded. Twilight paced around the carpet, a hoof scratching her head, sometimes pulling hair.
" It doesn't make any sense! Pinkie can't be a princess! She's just..just..just Pinkie!"
"Pinkamena is the princess, not exactly Pinkie. The most important matter on hoof right now is this: Pinkamena has escaped."
"As in, sh..sh..she's out there? -sniff- In Pinkie's body?" Fluttershy with red puffy eyes, asked.
"She's an alicorn right now, not an earth mare. The powers of a corrupted alicorn exceeds even my power. Twilight, I need you to use the elements of harmony to stop her."
Twilight's stammered," T..t...t...then who will take Pinkie's place, as the element of l..l..la..laughter?"
"Go look for a gray pegasus mare with bubbles for a cutie mark, she has a yellow mane. She will be perfect."
"How will I know who she is-"
"You'll know."
