My submission for the napowrimo on EqD

A pony with no memory of who he is wakes up in a dark and foreboding castle that lies secluded in the woods of far eastern Equestria. The only thing that he finds upon waking that gives any help is a letter addressed to him from his past self telling him to do only one thing: to murder Alexander of Bridleburg. His past self also warns him of a deadly Shadow that is following him and that there is no way to fight back, only run. He will come to find that this dark castle is far more deadly than he had ever imagined and will come to face the sins of his past as he ventures further into the darkness.
