As Fluttershy stood on a hillside that overlooked the land of once was Equestria, staring into the barren

wasteland of destroyed equipment and fallen soldiers, she realized at that moment that she was all alone with no

pony there to assist here in the coming fight on which she knew would be here last. Seeing the once beautiful

landscape transformed into a barren wasteland in as little as 2 weeks by those they called themselves, the

Covenant, her sadness for all of the ponies killed to defend their homeland flowed into her as she cried into her hooves.

A sudden explosion soon brought the Equestrian super soldier of the legendary battle group, the "Mane 6"

who have done combat feats against the enemy so daring and suicidal that they were a beacon of hope to all of the

creatures around the planet who were fighting for there lives, back into reality and the current combat situation

in which she was in. With all of the other members of the group, who were here best friends, gone, she herself saw

and counted the number of extermination squads the Covenant sent in to kill her.

6 to 10 she thought Not a lot but was still enough to give me a concern.

As she unslung here assault rifle and aimed it at the advancing Covenant ground squads, Fluttershy vowed

to avenge all her fallen friends." Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Twilight, and Applejack" she told herself, " I

promise you that I will avenge your deaths on these alien meanies who have killed you over the past several

weeks, or I will die trying." She had witnessed each of her friends deaths right in front of her and has toughened

up because of what they said to her just they left. When she finished saying these words she charged against the

armed Covenant with her rifle, mowing down the unshielded troops. The elites took more bullets than the grunts

but soon found themselves fighting for their own lives against the Equestrian super soldier. Fluttershy was

outfitted with the latest armor and equipment the princess could provide for them before she went underground.

With full body armor and energy shields she was a tank on hooves against the foot soldiers. This element only

lasted on her before more heavily armed troops began to attack and swarm around her as she fought desperately

to kill as many as she could.

When her shields went dead, Fluttershy knew that she was finishing a fight that the Mane 6 started and

vowed to finish. "For Celestia", she thought, " for Ponyville, for my friends!" Fluttershy screamed a battle cry

as she killed wave after wave of Covenant troops who continued to shoot at her hoping to bring her down.

Despite the amount of shots the Elites put into the lone pony Fluttershy refused to be downed without

taking some of them with her. Her goal is what kept her going to kill those who killed her friends. An elite ultra

came up next to her in an effort to pin her down. She punched the charging alien with her hoof and caved in a

grunts skull when it came in too close. Another elite, this time a general, came charging at here with an energy

sword drawn. The alien slashed it at Fluttershy, barely missing her right hoof. She responded by knocking down

the elite and bashed its head in with her rifle.

" No!" she screamed as she bashed in the elite's head with the butt of her rifle. " This is not good, there is

just way to many of them for me to handle alone." Her instincts told her to run away like the scared little pony she

was before this all began. She fought down these thoughts as she continued to fight for what she

thought was avenging her slain friends as she continued her one pony war against the aliens.

While she continued her hoof-to-hand combat with the elites Fluttershy failed to notice a very imposing

figure who's helmet showed that is was the rank of a field marshal walking toward her with what appeared to be

blood colored energy sword in one hand and a plasma rifle in the other. As Fluttershy turned to face this new

threat and immediately recognized the alien.

" You!" she gasped in horror.

" Yes pony it is I, the ..."

Before the elite could finish his sentence, Fluttershy threw her entire weight on the field marshal and sent him on the floor.

" You are not going to take me out like you did to Rainbow!" Fluttershy screamed at him.

" Foolish pony, didn't you know?" the elite replied.

" What!?" she responded.

" I didn't just kill the rainbow colored one, I also ended the life of the pony with the fancy hair!"

Fluttershy gasped, not only did this alien kill Rainbow. but he also killed Rarity.

" Yes, I killed her as any Sangheili would kill their victim, I picked her up and stabbed her with my sword

until she moved and breathed no more." the elite said with a grin.

Fluttershy reeled back on her knees, She was speechless of the thought that her best friends suffered a

slow and painful death without anypony in her squad knowing what happened to her.

As she was recovering her senses the kill teams had surrounded her and pointed their rifles at her, waiting

for the order to open fire on the lone super pony.

" Lower your weapons" ordered the Field Marshal.

The elites around Fluttershy did as they were told and lowered their rifles.

" Why?" she asked.

" You fought hard pony I'll give you that reward, and as such I will give you a chance. Fight me in a duel

pony and we'll see whose the best." the Field Marshal said.

" Why?" she asked again.

" I still have my honor, and in my honor I don't just have my subordinates take the life of a warrior whose

skill and determination rival my own." he explained. " I take their lives myself and have them fight me

till one of us dies."

"But earlier, back at Canterlot you said to me before you left that I would never be as strong as you."

said Fluttershy.

" But now I have seen your full potential here, on this battlefield. This is what was called Ponyville right?"

` the elite asked.

" Yes." she said sadly.

" A pity." he said, looking down on the kneeling pony, then shouted " Enough, we have wasted too

much time talking. Pick up that sword and fight me in sword-on-sword combat!"

Fluttershy nodded. As she picked up the fallen energy sword she said to herself, " If I can kill him, than I

don't care if I die. I will have already avenged Rainbow and Rarity."

" Any last words pony?" the Field Marshal asked.

" Yes" she said, " I'm going to make you regret killing my best friends."

As the Sangheili and the pony got into their fighting stance, they stared at each other in the eyes, wondering

what each of them would do. The Elites surrounding the Field Marshal and super pony had the same kind of

stare, wondering what the animal and their commanding officer would do.

An explosion was heard and both adversaries charged straight at each other...

I know this prologue is pretty short but don't blame me. I'm still new at writing fanfics so you cant really blame me for having it short.
