Long ago, before the elements of Harmony, there was once a time where ponies were tortured,murdered, and starved by an evil ruler known as Discord. He was the god of chaos, and no pony could step up to his level to fight back. Those who tried where killed slowly over, and over again reliving the same pain. One day, two alicorns whom mastered magic, and combat entered his castle located in the sky. For three weeks, and four months the alicorns fought the evil king to free the dying race of Equines. Eventually they won the battle after imprisoning Discord in stone to live his own hell.

After a few years however the effects of Discord were still in place. Ponies were still shaking, sick, or even dying slowly. So the celestial princesses sought out to find a pony who could keep the peace, and maintain what the princesses couldn't do. He was called, Red Thunder. A pony whom became a knight known for his genital, but unforgiving heart.

Now, Red set in his house watching his brother die slowly from a sickness...

"So then they made me a knight little brother!" Red said smiling at the sick pony.

"COOL! I wish I could be a knight. Just like you!"

"Maybe, if I could find a way to save you..." He answered tilting his head downward. "When you pass, will you watch me as I fight bad guys?!"

The little pony nodded with a cough. "Yeah! I'm sure I can do that!"

"Great...so what do you want to know about being a knight little brother?" He asked.

"What do they do?!"

"We fight to save ponies,we fight with honor until we breath out last, and we protect Equestria from anypony who wish to harm!"

"COOOOL!"

"Hey why don't you go to sleep, we've got a big day ahead tomorrow!"

"Awwww, but you didn't even tell me a bed time story...!"

"Okay fine..."

"Did you ever find it big brother?" the little pony asked.

"Sadly no,..but I'm sure if it wasn't for Discord killing my friends, I would of found it with them." Red said. "Alright, time to go to bed, good night. May the night princess give you good dreams!"

"Good night, see you tomorrow!"

Red looked down on his way out, knowing his little brother would not live through the night. "Yeah, good night..."

As Red walked outside his started to cry lightly looking at the night sky.'Why?! Why MY brother?!' He asked himself. He looked at the moon. "Princess of the Night, give my brother a dream to die happy in...please." He asked aloud.

A gust of wind answered his request. It was warm in the cool night giving Red some comfort. He sighed then walked out onto the town's main road. Walking past the pub, and out of the town into a nearby forest where he like to be when he was sad.

His secret place was four miles out from town, and five miles from his house. It had a small pond, and trees to block anypony from entering unless they were a pegasus.

When he arrived he saw one of the princesses.

"And to think, I thought I only knew of this place..." Red said.

"Hello to you too Red Thunder." Replied the princess.

"So, which one are you seeing how its too dark to see."

"I can fix that." The princess said lighting up the entire place revealing the princess of the night.

"Hello, and what do I owe the pleasure of you coming here?" He asked trotting over to the lake to drink some of the cool

summer water.

"There's a slight problem Red, my sister, Celestia has found out that there are more ponies like you. Three to be exact."

"Interesting, so how is that a problem?"

"With out them joining us, Discord will soon be free again."

"But princess, I thought the demon was contained?"

"We thought that as well, but a unicorn known as the Equestrian necromancer has found a way to transfer Discord's soul

into another body."

"How long do I have to find them?"

"The unicorn must wait until the planets aline in order to perform the spell correctly. So in two years from tomorrow."

"I guess I'll haft to leave town then....great. At least it will take my mind off my brother's passing."

"I heard your wish...Your's was the loudest out of the rest. You must really love your little brother..."

"I do, he was the only family I had left, now.....I'm alone..."

"Your wish is granted, he will have a peaceful death... Good night Red, there will be a carrage waiting outside of the town at daybreak."

He nodded. "Have a good one too princess."

With that the princess flew off, and a small note was on the ground where she stood.

He picked it up and unrolled it. In a mear second he saw what she had left behind. It was the map to the wishing crystal.

"Thank you!" He yelled to the top of his lungs. "THANK YOU PRINCESS!"
