Chapter 1:
A weirdo comes to town.

Many ponies walked about the market, enjoying their day. Some laughed with their friends, some simply went about their shopping. Most stared at the strange new pony that walked into town. He wore an oversized grey coat that reached past his flank with a hood that was pulled over his head, his muzzle barely poking out. A set of black shorts that covered his flank and part of his hind legs also was seen. From the color of his hooves, they at least knew he was the color of beige.

A large saddle bag was resting on his back and stayed put by the two straps that wrapped around the armpits of his forelegs. The jingle of random trinkets and such sounded out as he walked into the market. Many ponies took a step or two back as he passed them, his pace was a steady and quick one as he walked through, looking at the various stalls and kiosks of food.

He walked up to a single vendor whom was happily selling his vegetables and fruit before a hoof was gently tapped against the stand. The stallion whipped around and let his eyes widened as he looked at his new customer. There was a silence throughout the market before the stallion simply smiled, remembering the Zecora Incident, and took in a small breath.

“Hello! How may I help you today?” The stallion asked in a calm and collected tone. The hooded pony’s muzzle showed the briefest sign of a smile before he began to speak.

“Can I get a bundle of carrots and several potatoes, please?” The slightly raspy voice of the hooded stallion said as he his hoof reached back and pulled the saddlebag off. The stallion at the stand only nodded and quickly gathered the items. As the stallion set the ingredients out on the stand before the hooded stallion pulled out a small bag and dropped twelve bits onto the counter. Swiping the food into the saddlebag, he put the money back into the bag as well before beginning to walk to his next destination.

Ponies had long since gone back to their daily business as they simply shrugged off the odd stallion as some tired traveler. Unfortunately for that tired Traveler, Pinkie Pie’s Pinkie Sense told her somepony new was in town. He didn’t walk another twenty steps before the pink pony was standing in front of him with a massive smile on her face.

“HIYA!” She shouted as she bounced in place. The hooded stallion’s head perked up in surprise, exposing all of his muzzle, just beneath his eyes, showing a noticeable tone of shock on his lips.

“H-hi?” He said unsure as the pink pony bounced around him. “What are you doing?”

“I am just bouncing in excitement that there is a new pony in town! And that pony is you!” She stated as she stopped her bouncing and pushed her hoof against the stallion’s snout. There was a brief pause before the stallion lifted a hoof and took the pink appendage from his nose.

“Yes, I am new in town, but I am not staying long.” He informed Pinkie, making her slightly deflate.

“Aaaaawwww, whyyyy?” She whined out, sitting on her haunches and giving him a pouty expression. The stallion just shook his head and let out a small amused chuckle.

“I am staying long enough to gather supplies and do a few odd jobs for money. Then I am walking to Canterlot to go get an audience with the Princesses.” The stallion said as he walked by Pinkie. Now even more interested, Pinkie bounced up and began to follow after the strange stallion.

“Oooooh! What are you doing that for?” She asked curiously. The stallion only gave a small smile and looked at the pink pony, his eyes still unable to be seen.

“I have a problem I need solved or at least helped.” He said as he continued to walk until he was at the town hall, looking at the ‘Help Wanted’ board that was posted outside. Pinke just nodded in understanding before smiling even wider.

“Wait! I need to give you a party! Be here tonight-” She began before the pony turned back and for the first time a pony saw his eyes. Pinkie stopped talking, mostly because he was glaring at her, and his eyes were different colors. One was a light brown while the other was a almost ice blue.

“No.” He said in a almost angered, and strangely fearing, tone. Anypony that was near stopped to look at Pinkie and the strange pony.

“Wh-what...?” Pinkie asked as her hair deflated.

“I... Don’t... Do well at night...” The stallion said awkwardly before he grabbed a flyer and tore it off with his teeth. “Now iph, you don’ min’, I neeph to go. It’ph gettin’ late.”

Before anypony could say a word, the pony practically galloped out of the place. Ponies could only watch as he bolted out of the town and towards the fields.

“He WHAT!?” Rainbow bellowed out in a rage as she shot up from her seat. A purple glow pulled her back down by her tail while Twilight was sighing. The group had gotten together shortly after the stallion left, mostly because Rainbow had seen Pinkie sad and gathered everyone as fast as possible. They were currently sitting in Twilight’s library discussing the crazy situation.

“Calm down Rainbow.” Twilight said before looking to Pinkie. “Pinkie, you said he just grabbed the flyer and ran out of town?”

Pinkie let out a loud sniffle before nodding her head. Applejack was sitting next to the party pony with a hoof around her shoulder. The farmer adjusted her hat before letting out a small sigh. “Well, ah have to say, this stallion does sound off, but he doesn’t sound very mean. Just a tad rude.” Applejack stated as she comforted the party pony.

“Well ‘off’ or no, he shouldn’t be rude to a lady!” Rarity chimed in. “Getting angry for no reason then running off into the night. If I ever see him, I will give him a stern talking to!”

“Forget talking! I’ll kick his flank for making Pinkie cry!” Rainbow almost growled and puffing her chest out in anger. Twilight rubbed her temples in annoyance at her friends aggressive behavior. Fluttershy had squeaked out several suggestions on how to deal with the situations, all of which involved being very polite and asking nicely, but her voice was drowned out by Rainbow’s anger and Twilight’s questions.

“Rainbow, we can’t go and beat up ponies without reason.” Twilight said. Rainbow began to speak up Twilight added in. “And I mean a good reason. Not just because he made one of our friends cry.”

Rainbow snorted before crossing her forelegs and giving a small scowl. “Yeah well!... Tomorrow I am finding him and getting answers!” She stated boldly.

“Ah agree.” Applejack piped in. “Usually, I would let ponies be, like that Cranky Doodle fella, but this time, I have to put my hoof down.”

Twilight let out a defeated sigh before shaking her head. “I guess you are right. He is a bit strange, and he did hurt one of our friends. But can we agree to not make a scene?” Twilight asked to the group. They all gave her a sincere nod of agreement, allowing Twilight to breath easy for a moment.

Answers! (Somewhat)

“This is not not making a scene!” Twilight yelled at her prismatic friend, whom was currently sitting on top of the strange stallion. He was currently squirming and attempting to get away from the athletic mare.

The poor stallion had been assaulted by the prismatic mare when he had come into town to find the pony who set up the flyer. It was a simple job of around the house work, raking leaves, clearing out critters, etc, but he was interrupted on his way there by Rainbow dash tackling him into the dirt.

“Git ophh mmh!” He attempted to shout while his muzzle was being pressed into the dirt.

“Not until you tell me why you made Pinkie cry!” Rainbow interrogated before Applejack tapped her on the shoulder.

“Uh, RD? He can’t speak if his face is in the ground.” Applejack deadpanned before Rainbow blushed slightly. She hovered off of the stallion and began to float next to them.

“... I knew that.” She said as she crossed her forelegs. The stallion lifted his face and took in a deep breath before groaning.

“Oooooooowww.....” He groaned out before he shakily picked himself up. He muttered a few unhearable phrases. After a minute, he turned his head and glared at Rainbow Dash from under his hood. “What the hell is your problem, girl!?”

“My problem!?” Rainbow Dash shouted back angrily as she readied to tackle the stallion again. Before she could continue Twilight brought down the raging pegasus, keeping her in place as she walked up to the stallion.

“I’m sorry about my friend, she is easily... riled sometimes.” Twilight stated glancing back at Rainbow, who was fuming at the stallion. She turned back to the stallion before holding out her hoof. “I”m sorry, I’m Twilight Sparkle!”

The stallion was about to shake her hoof before he noticed her wings. It didn’t take a genius to notice he had taken a sudden interest in something. “Wait a minute.” He said before he stood up and walked to Twilight’s side, poking her wings, making her blush and slightly yelp at the sudden and somewhat sharp contact. “Are these real? Are they just some failed spell?”

Before Twilight could answer, the stallion used a hoof to extend her wing out, prodding the muscles and underside. The others, and every pony around, could only gawk and gape at the Stallions sudden invasion of privacy, of a princess no less.

“Is that guy...” Applejack trailed off as Rainbow Dash could only nodded in shock. Even Pinkie has been snapped out of her sad state by the completely random act. Poor Fluttershy couldn’t stay calm as her wings popped out and she soon fainted afterwards.

“My my... He is certainly... Forward...” Rarity stated with a blush.

After he had quickly done a search on both of the wings, he stepped in front of Twilight, whom now was completely crimson. Her wings snapped back against her sides as the stallion sat on his haunches and looked her over once more.

“... Are you one of the princesses?” He asked in a deadly serious tone. Twilight’s eyes could barely meet the hooded stallion’s as she found herself completely uncomfortable, and feeling somewhat violated.

“Y-Y-Yes... I a-am...” She stuttered out. There was a brief second before the stallion smiled widely and literally began to jump for joy.

“YES! Yesyesyesyesyesyes! You can help me! Oh thank god!” He shouted out while everypony else was completely lost to the Stallion’s insane ramblings. Rarity leaned over to Applejack and whispered.

“Is it just me... Or has this stallion completely lost his mind?” Applejack could only nod before Twilight shook herself out of her stupor, he blush dying down, and cleared her throat loud enough to stop the bouncing stallion.

“I’m sorry, but as you can imagine, I am very confused and to be perfectly honest, VERY uncomfortable!” Twilight stated as she felt her wings reflexively tighten against her body. The stallion only stared at her blankly before his muzzle flashed red.

“I... Just did something very perverted didn’t I?” He asked. The only response he got was every pony around them nodding. After a moment, he opted for laying down and covering his face with his hooves and sighing in embarrassment. “There goes a shot at getting help...” He said in a depressed manner.

Twilight and her friends all felt the tremendous amount of awkward in the air, so thick that it was possibly dripping, and simply glanced everywhere but the stallion and Twilight. Finally, Twilight took a deep breath to calm herself and began to speak.

“U-Um, sir?” Twilight asked, poking his hoof with her own. “May I ask what you needed help with?”

The stallion lifted his left hoof, revealing his blue eye. He took his hooves off of his face and rested his chin on them. “I have.... this problem. And I was hoping one of the princesses could help me because they are the only ones with knowledge or power to help me!”

Twilight looked to her friends, who only shrugged in response while Rarity was attempting to wake up Fluttershy. She sighed and looked down at the stallion before asking. “May I get your name?”

“It’s Wyatt... ” Wyatt said as he looked up at Twilight.

“Alright, Wyatt. Can you tell me what your problem is?” Twilight asked.

“Wait wait wait... I practically fondled you in public and you are thinking of helping me!?” Wyatt asked as his head shot up. Twilight’s blush returned in full force before she facehoofed.

“I am. But you are not making it very easy...” Twilight said, rather irked at the moment. Wyatt only shrunk and blushed a bit harder as the red creeped to the end of his nose.

“Um... Well.. My problem is kinda... Hard to explain.” He said as he sat up and began to fiddle with his hooves. “You ever hear of a Werewolf?”

“You mean a Wolf-Pony?” Twilight asked before Rainbow scoffed.

“Pfft, are you saying you are a Wolf-Pony?” Rainbow asked unconvinced. Wyatt only shook his head.

“No no no. But it’s something similar.” He said as he looked at Rainbow Dash. “I do change when night hits. That’s why I bolted from town yesterday cause I didn’t want to change where everyone could see me.”

“Oh so if you’re not a wolf, then what do you turn into, huh?” Rainbow said as she floated over and pressed her nose against his while she gave him a scowl. He pushed her away and frowned.

“Okay first, breath mint.” He said pointing at Rainbow Dash. “Second, I turn into what I originally was!”

“And that is?” Applejack chimed in, interested as to Wyatt’s odd tale.

“I am guessing you ponies have never heard of a human?” He asked. There was a brief second before Twilight and the others began to chuckle and soon break into full on laughter. Wyatt only stared at them in confusion.

“Y-You are saying that you turn into those things from old foal stories!? Pffft!” Rainbow wheezed out. Even Twilight was having some trouble keeping her laughter in. She may have seen some silly and crazy things, but that was up there with Spike’s Zombie obsession.

“But I am being serious!” Wyatt huffed in a frustrated manner, stamping a hoof to emphasize his point.

“Yeah, and I am the king of the griffon empire!” Rainbow cackled out. Wyatt just growled quietly to himself before shaking his head.

“Jeez! What do I have to do to make you believe me!?” He questioned angrily. All the ponies stopped laughing and looked at him.

“Y’all really believe ya are that thing, don’tcha?” Applejack asked as Wyatt nodded.

“Well, I don’t know. I mean growing fingers, feet, and having my entire skeletal structure shift almost every night kinda leaves me with little doubt.” He said dryly as he scowled at the group. Finally the whole group heard the faintest of whispers, causing Wyatt to look around for a pony in the sky while the rest of the group looked at the now awake Fluttershy.

“What was that, Flutters?” Rainbow Dash asked the butter yellow pegasus.

“I said, what if he just showed us that he does change?” She asked in her usual quiet demeanor. Pinkie Pie bounced over to Fluttershy and nodded in agreement with her.

“Yeah! If he turns into a Human at night, then why not just let him show us him transforming into a human?” She said, restating what the shy pegasus said. The group looked at each other, unsure if they should. Usually whenever something like this happened, it usually was real. Nightmare Moon, Trixie’s return, Etc. In short, this could end badly, or end well. Most likely the former.

“Well. If he is willing, I guess that could work.” Twilight said as she looked to the Wyatt for a answer. He shifted uncomfortably before reluctantly nodding.

“If it means helping me out, I kinda have to don’t I?” He said with a amused and nervous chuckle.

“Alright then it’s settled. Where should we do this?” Rainbow said as she floated over and looked at Twilight and Wyatt. They all looked at each other before looking back at Twilight. The purple Alicorn glanced at her friends and then at Wyatt before letting out a annoyed sigh.

“I’ll go get everything ready...” She muttered defeatedly as she turned around and began to trot towards her home. Everyone else went off to prepare for the night, leaving Wyatt in the middle of the town, confused and somewhat lost. At that moment, something dawned on him.

“Wait! I don’t know where anywhere is!” Wyatt shouted after Twilight as he hopped up and galloped after her.
