Chapter 1
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU YOU YOU!” Pinkie Pie sang behind the door. “Ding Dong! DELIVERYYYY!” She sang.
“Oh hi there pink..” Rainbow Dash was interrupted by a whole song and dance,
“HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU AND YOU TODAY!"
"HERE’S A PARTY INVITATION!” She pointed at the basket that sat on top of her head, 5 were blue, the rest were pink.
“HIP HIP HOORAY!! I thought about having 2 parties! One for the 6 of us, you, me, Twilight, Rarity, Applejack,” Pinkie took a huge breath from talking so fast, “And Fluttershy, the other 1 is for the whole of Ponyville!!” Pinkie took several breath’s while Rainbow Dash reached for her invitation.
“Ok thanks! See you around Pinkamena Dianne Pie!” Rainbow dash shouted after Pinkie, who was walking away on her tall stilts. ‘That pony is crazy...’ Rainbow thought to herself as she shut the door and opened her invite.
Mean while, Pinkie was delivering the rest of the invitations the Derpy Deliveries, Derpy had just started her own mail-mare company, and was over taking her old company with orders, that’s because everypony wanted the best for Derpy.
“Deliver all these STAT! Oh, and this one is for you,” Pinkie added with a smile.
“Ok, Pinkie! These will be delivered, STAT!” Derpy said in her funny voice.

Back at Rainbow Dash’s cloud, she was opening her invitation. It read:
Dearest Rainbow Dash,
Hmm... Pinkie never writes like this...
I would like you to know that there are 2 parties that you are invited to,
That I already know, Rainbow thought.
The first is on Friday the 7th of September, the second on Saturday the 8th,
I hope you can make it, as it is going to be the best parties of the year!
Hmm.. Rainbow thought, not for me it won’t...

Pinkie never wrote her full name down on the bottom! Something fishy is going on here... She thought, can’t think about that now...
“How am I going to tell them about how long I’ll be gone, It’s going to be around 2 years!” Rainbow jumped onto her bed. “UUUGGGHHHH!!!!” She moaned.

DING DONG! The door bell went at the library,
“I wonder who that could be?” Twilight asked as she opened the door,
“Hi...” Twilight was answered by a loud ZOOM and a huge rainbow trail left behind. Twilight got her brush and combed her hair, while she said,
“Hi Rainbow, are you here to borrow another Daring-Doo? Why you’re getting really fast at reading, I must say so myself.” Twilight said without even turning around to look who zoomed past.
“Twilight, I need your help, Pinkie’s throwing a party for my birthday, she just gave me the invite...”
“Wait, I didn’t get and invitation, and you did.. Does that mean I’m not a good friend? What if no-pony likes me anymore?!” Twilight panicked and paced around the room,
“No time for that, just look at what Pinkie wrote!” Rainbow Dash held out the invite as Twilight used her magic to snatch it off her, she read it out loud,
“Dearest Rainbow Dash,
I would like you to know that there are 2 parties that you are invited to,

Pinkamena Dianne Pie, hmm.. you’re right, this isn’t something Pinkie would write, it’s more, Rarity, you know what I mean?” Twilight asked.
“Yeah, but I think something fishy is going around,” Rainbow lowered her voice to a whisper, even though she knew no-pony else was listening,
“I kind of like Pinkie, don’t tell any pony though, they will tease me till my old ages! And anyway,” She continued, raising her voice back to normal,” I have some important news, but I have to tell them on the party date, Oh how are they going to handle all of this?” Rainbow Dash dropped her head down.
“What is wrong Rainbow, you can tell me, I Pinkie promise I won’t tell no-pony,” Twilight did the Pinkie promise sign. You had to put a cross where you heart was, act like your hooves were wings and pretend to poke your eye with a cupcake.
“Ok then,” Rainbow started her story,
“Well, finally the Wonderbolt’s had an audition which wasn’t on my work day, so I decided to go to Canterlot to tryout, that’s why I was away that day, when I got there, I was the only one to audition, that’s why they had so many, no-one was interested, but I already had my name down, so they waited.” Rainbow Dash took a deep breathed and sighed, “I got in and I have to leave in October and I will only be coming back in March...” She dropped her head in shame.
“Rainbow! They’ll take it fine, don’t worry I’ll help you with your speech.” Twilight tried to lift her mood.
“It’s hopeless, they will all go nuts, excpecially Pinkie, she’ll be all ‘Why? Why? Don’t go!’ I just know it!” Rainbow Dash felt so down in the dumps, even more than when she got a B- in Flight school, she locked herself away from school for a week, not daring to show up just in case she got teased by the three same colts, oh how she wished she could have knocked them off a cloud...
“Rainbow? Rainbow! RAINBOW DASH!” She heard Twilight say with a slight bit of annoyance in her tone.
“You’re doing it again,” Twilight said
“Doing what again?” Dash asked
“Drifting off into your little day dreams, well, you better be off see you at the party tomorrow!” Twilight said, as she opened the door, signalling to Dash to head out with that look on her face then read, ‘Leave now, or face the consequences’, and don’t get me wrong, Twilight is awfully good at that face.
“Ok then! Bye!” Dash walked out hearing the door slam behind her, as well as some muttering from Twilight. Rainbow Dash flew of home and jumped in bed, without having dinner. She had a long day ahead of her.

Sorry if there are any grammer mistakes or anything, just tell me and I'll fix it. I don't have that much story writing expierece, this is only my second story.

“Pinkie! Pinkie! The cake is ready!” Mrs. Cake shouted from the kitchen,
“Cominnggggg!” Pinkie sang, Pinkie Pie ran down the stairs past the counter and into the kitchen. She opened the oven and pulled out the cake. Pinkie put it next to the 4 other smaller cakes she had baked before. She got some sticky icing and started to pile the cakes on top of each other. Soon, the cake was easily 2 feet tall,
“Now for the icing!” Pinkie exclaimed, licking the icing from her hooves,
“Pinkamena Dianne Pie, you know not to lick your hooves while you are cooking! Go wash them now!” Mrs. Cake said in a stern voice.
“Okee dokey, Mrs. Cake!” Pinkie said, always seeing the positive side of things. After alot of rainbow coloured icing later, the 6 pony party began. Fluttershy arrived first, then came Rarity and Twilight, then Applejack, after waiting for 10 minutes, Rainbow Dash still hadn’t arrived, they waited a bit longer until Twilight said;
“Ok, I’ve had enough! I’m finding Rainbow Dash!” The moment she stepped out the door, everyone heard a loud crash.
“Sorry...”
“Dashie!! You’re finally here! I knew you would come!” Pinkie ran up to her best friend to give her a hug. She didn’t see the worried expression on Dashie’s face.
“Oh yeah, hi pinkie, I would never miss one of your parties!” Rainbow dash said with her gloomy mood lingering in the air.
“Come and sit down, I’ve made a huge cake for you!” And Pinkie ran into the kitchen and brought a 7 hoof high cake, with different sizes of cakes stacked on top of each other, each one with a different colour, but all of them matched Rainbow Dash’s mane.
“Oh wow Pinkie, you didn’t have to do all this for me..”
“It’s fine Rainbow, anything for my secret...” Pinkie stopped dead in her tracks, everypony staring at her,
“Pinkie darling, what did you just say?” Rarity asked Pinkie.
“I said um... favourite! Favourite! Favourite friend!” Pinkie replied, a bit too quickly.
“Pinkie, is there anything you would like to tell us?” Twilight asked, all eyes on Pinkie.
“Gaahh,” she let out a huge breath, “Ok, um... well...”
“Yes?” Everypony asked,
“Ok, ever since we defeated Discord, something happened, it was like he did it as a prank to me. I felt closer to Dashie than any other pony, she felt like the only pony I had at that point, nothing else mattered, it was just me and her, but I was wrong. Something is wrong, my pinkie sense has been telling me that for a long time,” She took a breath, “Dashie, you have something to say,”
“Dashie, tell them,” Twilight pitched in.
“Ok, then, I guess it’s time I told you guys, well you know how my dream is to become a Wonderbolt,” She looked at everypony, all of them nodded, “Well, finally they had an audition that wasn’t on my work day, that’s why I couldn’t come to Dinky’s birthday bash. Well, they let me in, and,” She paused, “I have to leave, in a week, and I won’t be back until March...” A tear rolled down her cheek. Everyone heard some loud breathing, then a whimper, they turned their heads to see a tearing up Pinkie pie.
“Pinkie, don’t cry,” Fluttershy said in her soft voice.
“Don’t cry? DON’T CRY!! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO STOP CRYING AT A TIME LIKE THIS?” Pinkie shouted at Fluttershy and jumped on the cake doing so as she ran up to her room.
“My my, dears, I think the party is over, why don’t you, of Fluttershy, are you alright?” Mrs. Cake asked Fluttershy, after seeing her crying, quietly, of course.
“No, it’s ok, I’m fine” Fluttershy assured her.
“Ok then sweetie, better run off, I’ll clean up the mess,” Everypony looked around and just noticed the mess Pinkie made,
“That’s a good idea,” Rarity said, flicking a piece of orange icing off her mane.
“I need to talk to Pinkie, she deserves an apology...”Rainbow Dash walked up the stairs and knocked on Pinkie Pie’s door.
“What do you want?” Pinkie Pie asked, her voiced sounded shaky.
“Pinkie, I’m sorry, I know you have a crush on me, me leaving doesn’t mean I don’t like you too,” Rainbow Dash said, carefully picking out her words. The door opened a bit,
“Rainbow, please come in,” Pinkie Pie opened the door, her eyes were red, and her normally poofy mane drooped down her head down to her knees. “I want to tell you that I like you alot, really, it might sound stupid, but,” She looked up “It wasn’t since Discord, it was since I made that first party for you, for your arrival in Ponyville.”
“I understand Pinkie, I have to go,” Rainbow Dash stood up and pecked a kiss on Pinkie Pie’s cheek. Pinkie held up her hoof to feel where Rainbow touched her. “See you later Pinkamena Pie.” Pinkie never felt so good.

“You did WHAT!?” Twilight leaned closer and said in a whisper “You don’t want to lead her on!”
“What if I do? What do I do! I don’t want the Wonderbolt’s to know I’m a fillyfooler!”Rainbow Dash and Twilight were having lunch out. Twilight and Rainbow Dash had become really good friends after the Daring-Doo experience. “Oh, why me Twilight? Why me?” Rainbow Dash said out loud, she took a bite of her cupcake. ‘Not as good as Pinkie Pie’s!’ She thought.
“Well, I’m trying to help, but these decisions should be made by you Rainbow!” Twilight exclaimed.
“Hey Dash! You still up for tomorrow?” A voice came from behind Twilight.
“Sorry Spitfire, No can do, I have to go see my friend tomorrow, maybe on Tuesday?”
“Dump your friend, you won’t see her for six months!”
“I’m the element of loyalty, I can’t dump my friend!”
“Fine, Tuesday,” The golden Pegasus walked off, while a few young fillies chased after her for her signature.
“Dash, you really are the element of loyalty,”
“Thanks Twilight, I have to go see Pinkie, thanks for lunch!”
“No problem!”

“Hey Mrs. Cake, I’m here to see Pinkie Pie, is she here?”
“Sorry Rainbow Dash, Pinkie just went to see Twilight!”
“Ok, thanks, I’ll be visiting the library,” Rainbow Dash flew off, leaving a rainbow trail behind her. When she got to the library, she knocked on the door, which was answered by Spike.
“Hey Rainbow! Want another copy of Daring-Doo, or are you here to see Twilight?”
“How did you know I was visiting Twilight?”
“Oh, Pinkie came by, and Twilight knew you wanted to see Pinkie Pie, so she predicted you would come here.”
“Ok, and while I’m here, could you get me ‘Daring-Doo and the Emerald Crown’?”
*P.S. I made that up on the spot.*
“Sure thing Rainbow!” And Spike ran off, climbing up the ladder to get the book while Rainbow Dash walked in, looking for Pinkie Pie.
“Hey Rainbow!” She turned around to see Spike holding the next book of Daring-Doo, “They’re upstairs,” He pointed to the stairs leading to Twilight’s bedroom.
“Thanks Spike!” Rainbow rubbed his head and hovered towards the stairs.
“I don’t know what to do, Applejack won’t hang out with me because her family thinks it’s strange, being a fillyfooler, but you look at Manehatten, there are tons there! What if Lyra and BonBon are the only fillyfooler couple in Ponyville? Look at Vinyl and my sister, *because everyone says Octavia is her sister* what’s so strange about that?” She heard Pinkie say.
“Hey guys,”
“Oh hey Rainbow Dash,”
“Hi Dashie,” Pinkie Pie’s eyes were red, “Did you just hear everything we said?”
“Only that Applejack won’t hang out with you,”
“Ok good,”
“BURP! TWILIGHT! THE PRINCESS SENT A LETTER!” Spike called from downstairs.
“COMING!” Twilight ran downstairs, then she came back up with the scroll hovering in front of her. “You guys want to read this,” She said.

Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash read the letter,
“It just doesn’t make sense, how would the princess know? And why would she be angry? I mean, there’s nothing wrong with you two being together,”
“Umm, Twilight?”
“Not now Rainbow,”
“TWILIGHT!”
“What?”
“Me and Pinkie Pie aren’t together yet, you know that right?”
“We aren’t?
“No, not yet Pinkie,”
“Well maybe you two should?” Spike suggested.
“Spike, you’re not part of this conversation, just go to Rarity’s or something!” Twilight shoved him out of the way.
“Hmph, fine,”
“Do you want to be with me?”
“I’m not sure Pinkie, I like you and all. But I don’t want the whole Equestria to know I’m a fillyfooler!”
“Well, they won’t!”
“Yes they will, Pinkie,” Rainbow Dash turned to face Pinkie Pie, who had her pouting face on, “Fine,”
“Yay!” Pinkie Pie jumped up and gave Rainbow a big hug.
“Hey! That was uncalled for!”
“I’ll leave you two up for discussions, I’ll tidy the library!” Twilight left the room.
“Pinkie, you have to understand that this is what I want both ways. I’ve actually always had a little crush on you. But I want to be a Wonderbolt too! I don’t know what to do!” Rainbow fell back onto the bed.
“Well, I don’t know what to do? It’s your choice. If you go, I’ll just go with Fluttershy? I don’t know. I’m not into colt’s Rainbow, you do know that. Right?”
“Yeah, yeah. I don’t think you’ll be with Fluttershy though,”
“Why not?”
“Rumour has it she’s with Applejack,”
“But AJ’s family hate fillyfooler’s, what will Applejack do?”
“I don’t want to talk about AJ now, I just wanna ask. What will we do, I mean if we do get together. And then decide to move in with each other, how will we live?” Rainbow asked.
“You can move in with me!”
“In any case, Princess won’t allow it,”
“WHY?” A loud crash was heard from downstairs.
“Where are Rainbow Dash and Pinkamena Diane Pie?”
“They are upstairs, Princess,”
“RAINBOW DASH! PINKIE PIE!” A loud voice was called from downstairs.
“Let’s go, Pinkie,”

“Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie, you both know you are committing a crime?”
“So what? We’re two mares that like each other! There’s nothing wrong with that!” Rainbow Dash shouted at the Princess.
‘YE-HHFFMM!!!” Rainbow Dash stuffed her hoof in Pinkie’s mouth.
“It is an unnatural lifestyle, that is why the Equestrian laws are that way,”
“But there are many fillyfooler’s around, there’s Lyra and BonBon, there’s Octy and Vinyl, you don’t go to them and say they can’t be together? Why us?”
“Because you are both an Element of Harmony!”
“What does that have to do with anything?”
“Elements of Harmony are not for love, but for friendship. If love blossoms within any of you towards another, the bond is broken,”
“What about Fluttershy and Applejack?”
“What about them?”
“They are together!”
“I see, this complicates things a bit,”
“How?”
“Don’t worry my little ponies, you will find out sooner or later,” With that, Celestia disappeared in a flash.
“What did she mean? Twilight, can you answer this?”
“Sorry Rainbow Dash, but this is out of my hooves.”
