It was an average sunny day at the Ponyville Schoolhouse, Fillies and Colts were playing in the sunbeams.

Some with marbles, A few on the swing sets, And occasionally creating sandcastles in the sandbox.

Until the bell rang, thus signalling the end of morning recess, in which all the kids went inside for their first lessons.

In one class there were 3 friends who had always stood by each other between thick and thin, Through pain and torment, But still knew how to defend themselves, The first was a yellow coated earth pony with a ridiculously large bow in her hair named Applebloom, The second was a white coated unicorn with purple-pinkish curls named Sweetie Belle, And the 3rd was a orange coated pegasus with the disability of not being able to fly named Scootaloo.

Throughout the school year these 3 friends had been tormented by 2 Pristine looking posh-totty children known as Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon.

But little did any of them know something grave was going to happen today that would change all of history as they knew it.

"Good morning everypony!" said a purple coated earth pony with 3 flowers adorning her flank."

"Good morning, Miss Cheerilee!" said all the children in unison, Miss Cheerilee was said to be the friendliest teacher in school, and it was always true, all the time.

"We have a real exciting lesson for you all today!" She said with a spring in her step as she pulled down a projector screen with her mouth,

The next moment she was busy with a slide projector saying, "Today we are going to learn about... The Angel Of Darkness!" This caused all of the students in the class to gasp in horror.

"I know it sounds scary children, But remember he can't physically or mentally harm you in anyway" She told the children as if to calm them down.

"Long ago..... When our rulers Celestia and Luna were just child princesses, They were always given the best recommendations by their consort Absolute Black" The slide showed a child-like version of Celestia and Luna with a black coated pony in the background with a black hole for a cutie mark.
"Always telling them the best meals, The best Royal Decrees and even the best troops to hire" the slides changed as Cheerilee said each part of those sentences.

"But one day Celestia and Luna both agreed he needed to make them happy someway" Her voice soon turned grim.

"So he decided to hunt for a rare treasure known as, The Dark Soul" The slide changed again to reveal a black ball shaped magic with 2 menacing claws coming out of the sides.

"Miss Cheerilee, Where was this Dark Soul supposedly located?" Said Sweetie Belle in an unsure voice.

"In an ancient temple deep in the Everfree Forest, The same temple which supposedly housed the Elements Of Harmony"
Replied Cheerilee changing the slide again to reveal the temple, although it looked more restored than it was before.

"Absolute Black dodged all the traps, All the perils and all the guards to make it to the Dark Soul" She said changing the slides in sync with her sentences.

"But Miss Cheerilee, when does the Angel Of Darkness come into this?" Said Silver Spoon furrowing through her mane

"I was just about to get to that." Cheerilee responded.

"When Absolute Black reached the dark soul he tried to seal it in a gift box for the princesses but..." She said with a more darker, More sad expression, "When he even touched the soul,..." She paused for a moment still changing the slides in sync with her with her voice "It consumed his whole body in darkness!" Cheerilee rapidly changed the slides to show Absolute Black mutating into a winged human coated entirely in black spiky armour, Brandishing 2 massive swords with spikes tipping the whole blade.

"Upon his transformation Absolute Black decided to change his name to Darkwing The Angel Of Darkness, And with his new maximised swordplay and dark magic powers challenged Celestia and Luna for the throne."

"It was a fierce battle with fires as tall as the mountains, Storms as dark as the night sky and blood dripping down the castle corridors" She said with a dark expression on her face.

"So what happened to this Angel Of Darkness anyway?" Scootaloo said in a brave accent.

"After being worn down by the final duel with Celestia and Luna, The princesses sealed him away in a random everyday item that nopony has found even to this day" The slides kept going perfectly in sync with Cheerilee's voice until the last slide marked the end of the presentation.

"If anypony finds the item Darkwing was sealed in they should report it with the nearest Tartarus Associate immediately" Cheerilee finished before immediately returning to her usual happy state saying, "Any questions?"

The rest of the class was just paperwork and essays until the bell rang signalling the end of 1st period.

"Do ya'll think it wasn't just a myth created by Cheerilee just for a good scare?" Said Applebloom to her 2 friends.

"If it wasn't a myth i'd be looking for the item myself to see if it really existed." Said Scootaloo in response.

"Look there!" Sweetie Belle said in a worried tone pointing at Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon.

"What are they up to?" Said Scootaloo watching them walk behind the schoolhouse.

In a stealthy way both Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon were sneaking of the schoolgrounds to a nearby glade to watch the clouds roll by, mostly making fun of their weird designs and talking about the Angel Of Darkness, Yep it was a matter of cold-hearted fun for them until Diamond's flank and crown started pulsating a weird dark purple aura.

Silver Spoon asked Diamond Tiara "What's wrong Diamond?"

"I don't know." she said in response to her friend.

No sooner had she finished her sentence when a deep evil voice unlike anyone she'd ever seen or heard of before whispered through the wind into her and Silver Spoon's ears

"I've been waiting for you two." Said the unknown voice which was obviously male.

"Who... who's there?" Said Silver Spoon in a kind of scared voice

"The twins of hatred and pessimism." he said describing the two schoolfillies perfectly.

"It is just as the archives foretold, 2 rich children with hearts of pure darkness." No sooner had the voice finished when a black laser shot out of Diamond Tiara's crown and cutie mark revealing a Dark Purple coloured portal.

"OK i'm officially scared now!" Said a now worried Diamond Tiara.

"Let's get out of here and report this to the princesses!" Said Silver Spoon in response.

Just as the two girls started running the voice said "I know what you want, You wish to stomp out the untalented, Correct?

"How did you know?" Said a now concerned Silver Spoon.

"I know everyone and everything, I am the Angel Of Darkness, Darkwing as your class acknowledged me."

"Darkwing?" Silver Spoon said once again in a scared way

You two are the most harshest, most unforgiving, most evil ponies ever created by the gods themselves, Your names Are Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon!" The voice finished in a thunderous voice.

"How did you know?" Said Silver Spoon again in a now more sinister voice.

There is no time to quibble over little details, You two, Step through the portal and you will be able to conquer all of Equestria!"

Ears buzzing at the sound of this, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon walked through the portal into the other dimension on the other side, where upon said other side resided a human with 2 massive black wings coming out of his back, A completely spiked battle armour and swords and fiendish black spiky hair.

"Welcome to the Void Of Darkness ladies." said the winged human.

"Allow me to give myself a proper introduction, I am Darkwing The Angel Of Darkness!"
