“Blast em again!”

“Swing around crew, don’t let em get ya!”

“Keep firin’! We got em on the run!”

“First mate, get the cannons loaded again! Don’t let em win!”

Rarity nodded towards her captain and ran off, calling commands to the few ponies she passed. “Keep yer head up! They aren’t that strong! Hoist the sails!”

She wasn’t sure exactly why she was on a pirate ship, being blasted by cannons, but she did know that it was her duty to follow orders so she raced to the gun deck. Grabbing some ammo she quickly passed it to other pirates. She grabbed one in her magic for herself and launched it into the air. Watching the ball hit its mark she smiled happily.

“All hooves on deck! They be boarding us!” Rarity heard her captain call. Her heart raced and she scampered back to the main deck. She saw wings, hooves and horns crashing all around. Weapons were being tossed to and fro, explostions could be heard coming from everywhere. Dodging nimbly she barely avoided getting struck down, though her shipmate were not so lucky.

“Twilight!” Rarity called, running over to the purple unicorn and taking down the enemy that had been upon her.

“Rarity!” Twilight called in relief, “I thought we had lost you!”

Rarity laughed heartily as she shot down another villainous pirate. “I can’t be smitten that easily my dear.”

Twilight smiled then looked around, worry creeping in her eyes, “Where’s captain?”

“She’s be being takin care off, Arrg!” A cry was heard above the roar of fighting.

The two unicorns turned in union to see Rainbow Dash glaring at them, a glint in her eye.

“All aye gotta do is take care off ya two, Arrg!” Rainbow gloated, creeping closer to them.

“I think you’re forgetting something,” Rarity smirked, “They’re two of us and only one of you.”

The exploding sound of a fire hitting it’s mark and the squeal of Twilight made Rarity whirl around.

“Twilight!” She cried out, her friend had been hit and was laying on the deck.

“Did-did I hit her?” A soft voice called out as Fluttershy fluttered towards them. “Oh Rainbow look! I hit her!”

“That be great me hearty but ye be out of ammo and we need be doin’ away with this one, Arrg!” Rainbow Dash gestured towards Rarity and held up her gun.

“Oh, right.” Fluttershy squeaked, then as an afterthought added a small, “Arrg.”

Rarity, eyed her attackers. Rainbow was fast but she wasn’t very keen to things around her. So she wouldn’t be expecting a sneak attack. Rarity flung her weapon at pegasus, who gave out a startled arrg, before she fled across the ship.

The pony she ran to was her captain and relief flooded Rarity at seeing her, her white fur was soaked and she was panting, but she was still standing. “Rarity! We be loosin shipmates faster than ammo! I need ya to…”

“Ship ahoy!” A call cut threw the directions and all turned to stare out into sea. A ship was pulling up besides the two pirate ones and all fighting ceased as it lowered it’s planks.

“What we got here?” The first pony to step off said, she bore the symbols of the royal navy and a captain bag was perched on her jacket. “Couple of pirates fightin’ it out? Tha’ll make em easier ta catch. First mate Applejack!”

At the call Applejack stepped onto the pirate ship and surveyed the scene. “Two sets of pirates? We’ll have em roped up in no time.”

The commander nodded and flicked her tail, sending a cascade of ponies onto the boat. The pirates quickly turned away from one another to face this new threat.

Explosions could be heard as the two groups charged into battle, Rarity hurled her ammo everywhere, searching for Applejack. She had a score to settle with her.

“Hello Rarity.” Rarity heard the unmistakable sound of Applejack’s voice and turned around.

Applejack had a weapon clutched in her mouth, muffling her words.

Rarity’s face fell at the sudden realization that she had thrown her own weapon to escape Rainbow Dash.

Applejack smirked as she too came to the conclusion that Rarity was defenceless. “Ya dirty pirate ain’t gonna get away this time.” She chuckled.

Applejack tossed her head back in preparation to launch.

“PARTY CANNON FIRE!” A call rang out across the ship and a wave of wind and confetti hitting Applejack square in the chest, she released her water balloon and it splashed across her face.

Applejack stood there, sputtering for a few minutes before she yelled, “Pinkie!”

“Ha! Right in the kisser!” Pinkie squealed, bouncing up to Applejack.

Applejack glared at her, “Pinkie, you’re supposed ta be on my team.”

“What’s going on?” Twilight asked walking up to them with Rainbow Dash, they were completely soaked but otherwise unhurt.

“Pinkie’s switchin’ sides again!” Applejack huffed, shaking her head to clear out some of the water.

“You have to admit, it was a nice shot.” Rarity said between giggles.

“I’m sorry Applejack, but me and Pipsqueak REALLY wanted to be pirates.” Pinkie gestured to the little colt who was at the other end of her party cannon.

“We be committing mutiny!” He cried out joyously.

“This never would have happened if you let the unicorns be the navy.” Rarity stated flatly to Applejack.

The cowpony rolled her eyes, “You know it was Sweetie Belle who wanted ta be the pirate.”

“Why did we stop fighting?” Sweetie Belle ran up, her captain badge starting to fall off of her crusader cape.

“I’m bein’ mutinied against!” Apple Bloom glared at Pinkie. “I’m goin’ make ya walk the plank for this.”

“Only pirates do that.” Scootaloo rolled her eyes as she placed the water balloons she was holding next to her. “Does this mean we’re done playing?”

Twilight surveyed their ship. The cardboard that they had laid down was completely soaked as were the fifteen or so foals that they had played with. “It’s getting late, I think we should all go home and take a bath.”

The other ponies nodded and started packing up, the game that the younger ponies had roped the older ones into had gone extreme. There wasn't much more to do then wind down. The fun had been great but no it was over. Until next time.
