This is a "Chapter Zero" for the fanfic "The Conquering of Love". Really, less of a chapter, and more of a single, short prologue scene. While the scene described here happens before the events of the first chapter of that story, it does reveal a very slight plot point: Cadence is being held captive by the changelings. This plot point, to be honest, could be assumed easily enough that I think it doesn't spoil any of the surprises in the story. It's a given that Cadence is a prisoner, right?
