Death. It is an event that is inevitable. A curse of our own mortality. Tell me reader, since life and death is ambiguous, what do you think of it? Sadness, joy, morbid? Well, for our alicorn, Radiant Tear, it is an event that he will avoid. He will have to be one of the last hope for preserving the knowledge of our dying universe.

Prologue Beginning

Radiant Tear Prologue Pt 1

“Run Radiant Star! We have to hurry to the pods!”

“Dad, it’s so far…I don’t have enough energy.”

“Radiant Tear! We are almost there…I can see it!”

Death is so close to us. For 3 hours they’ve been running in this forest, searching for this space pod that can launch us out of this universe that is ending. At first, Radiant Tear thought they were chasing a fairytale because there was never any news about some pod. But now, as he sees it with his own eyes, he realized they could survive the cold death that the universe is going through. As they go up the stairs leading to the platform, excitement runs through his body. They could survive this apocalypse!

“Okay, now to type the code…” his father exclaimed, typing down the code to open the pod.

“T…W…I…L…I…G…H…T…processing……” A click was heard on the pod. “Correct…opening…”

“Oh my god…honey we can get off this planet! We can live! C’mon Tear, get on!” her mother cheered, pushing her son in the pod.

“Stop! In the name of Dictator Manemare!” a voice shouted behind them. Radiant heard and started to shake badly.

“Hurry mother! Father, get in and lock the door…” Radiant whispered. His mother made a subtle sign, telling him to hide. Seeing the situation they’re in, he had to. So he went behind one of the container like beds with a sign above them saying ‘Cryopod 3’. As soon as he hid, he heard the conversation.

“You are currently trespassing government territory. We ask that you leave this-“

“And see us die? No way! We will not die while you government blank flanks live!” his father said as he hoof-kicked the authorities. “Get in there love! I’ll hold them-“there were screams of pain and flashes coming from his body, making the lights dance around the pod.

“Honey!” his mother said before being tasered too. Radiant wanted to scream, but he knew that if that happened, he would be caught. So he shut his mouth. The dictator’s black mane slowly showed through the door of the pod. Radiant quickly ducked, hoping to luck that he wasn’t caught. Manemare’s hooves clopped against the metal platform, walking away from the pod.

“Lock up the pod. Make sure this doesn’t happen again.” Manemare ordered the authorities. In unison, they stomped on the ground, showing recognition of their orders. They pulled my parents away from the pod while locking the pod. But something buzzed after it closed. He heard a bit of commotion outside the doors.

“Huh? What the…it malfunctioned!”

Radiant Tear gasped, having shocked eyes. His parents were out there and now the door glitched up, staying shut. The authorities tried everything they could for half an hour, from finding a way through a computer and trying kicking it down, but to no avail.

“Manemare won’t be too happy about this! We have to find a way to open it!”

“It’s stuck dude! We can’t open it, maybe if we get a unicorn quick enough-“a kick was heard.

“Never mention unicorn again! Ugh, I hate unicorns. Good thing society is-“

“Sir! I’m checking surveillance! There’s an alicorn filly in there!” one of the soldiers said. Well, he got caught, but on the bright side, he's trapped behind a malfunctioned door. No way they can ever get him!

Then, the universe made a noise that sounded like a roar. In fear, he ran up to the door, banging my hooves on it. He pleaded for his mother and father, wanting to be in the comfort of their arms. But seeing how much they were struggling to open the door, he realized he would never be in their arms. The dictator happens to see the conflict happening and sees him. Everyone expected a great backlash of insults from him, but he gently smiled and helped his parents up. They both knew that their time was up.

“Young colt, I know that deep in your heart, you are scared. You want to be with your parents, be in their arms and love. But we all have a path to go down to alone…and that time is now. Say goodbye to your parents and I’ll begin the launch sequence myself.” Manemare softly said. Everyone gasped at his sudden kindness. He walked toward the controls of the pod, letting Radiant Tear’s parents walk up to the pod, face to face with their son.

“Mommy! Daddy! Please, don’t give up! We can find a way! We can be together…please don’t give up…” Radiant Tear cried, hanging his head low. His parents placed their hooves flat on the glass screen, matching it with their son’s.

“Son, I know how hard it was trying to raise you seeing that you’re a mix breed. But don’t cry anymore, you’ll be happy. Truly happy once you reach a planet full of intelligent life forms. Please son…live on for us…” they both said to him. He cried harder, knowing that he’ll have to go without them, leaving them to their deaths. An alarm blared through the speakers and Radiant looked around, scared by the sudden noise.

“The sequence is set. Everything is in preparation. Son…you are the one of the last best hope of ponykind. Please don’t let us down. Don’t let our knowledge die…” he pressed a button and Manemare, his parents and the soldiers ran down the stairs of the platform and the sequence counted down.

“10…9…8…7…”

“No…please no…let this be a dream!”

“6…5…4…3…”

“Please let me wake up!”

“2…1…0…”

“MOMMY!”

Prologue Pt. 2

Radiant Tear cried to himself as the pod is going higher. He witnessed explosions, murders, and riots all over his home town before he got any higher. They all wanted to get into these space pods before the universe would end. He cried harder, wishing that his parent's death would be fast and painless. He wished he would be with them, to die along with everypony.

"Why does this have to happen? Why!?" He yelled in anger. He stomped on the floor and was about to break one of the machines. Something flashed behind him and he stopped himself. He looked behind him and sees a pink pony behind him. But she looked way different than anypony he's ever seen. She was a bit transparent. He walked up to her, questioning what this pony could be. A ghost? Some sort of magic this pod was giving? He couldn't understand. Her eyes quickly opened, startling him since all that was in her eyes were just blank white.

"Hello, I am A.I Pinkiana Version 1.2." something flashed from her eyes and laser line scanners ran up and down Radiant's body. The A.I gasped and wore an angry look. "What did you do to Dictator Manemare?"

"He sacrificed his life, letting me live instead of him. You have every right to be-" a bright light showered the small pod and Radiant Tear closed his eyes, not wanting to get blind from whatever caused the flash. As the light dimmed down, he looked out the glass screen of the pod.

The universe started to shape in many different forms. Radiant's eyes seem to be blinded by tears, realizing that it's now dying. He sees his home planet being torn apart by some scientific explanation that he could not ponder at the moment. He wailed as every happy moments flashed before his eyes. At that exact moment, the universe exploded. The force of the explosion sent the pod flying out of the boundaries of his galaxy, and soon the universe. His body flew into Cryopod 3 and it shut tight, keeping him safe from physical damages he would get being thrown around. He felt a sharp pain around his head and before he knew it, he fell asleep, leaving everything behind him.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________

Soon Radiant Tear opened his eyes, waking up inside a big room the size of a gym. There was a desk surrounded by educational supplies, a targeting hall, and entertainment stations. He questioned the environment. Soon, A.I Pinkiana appeared nearby.

"I looked into surveillance cameras and witnessed the scene before launch. It...was quite a sorrowful scene. So I decided to teach you all there is that was installed in the pod. You see, the scientists made a special hardware to store everything that we know. From science, math, literary arts, everything you can imagine. They want to preserve our knowledge that in case somepony dies during the journey to another world, that planet could install our hardware and teach our knowledge to them." Pinkiana explained to Radiant Tear. She smiled, "I will teach you as long as you put your mind and body to the task. We don't know how long this journey could be, but the pod is travelling between the speed of sound and light. So we have all the time in the wo-...well, you understand..."

Radiant Tear looked around his surroundings. He sees windows flashing memories of his childhood and quick flashes of his parents. He sees the scene where Manemare spoke to him in an unexpected kind voice. He can't let anypony down. He has to learn all there is that is now known to his species.

"Alright...I'll do it." Radiant wiped a tear from his eyes and wore a serious expression on his face. Pinkiana smiled and walked toward the desk.

"Let's begin."

15 years passed as he learned everything from A.I Pinkiana. All there is and all that's known. He learned to conduct his magic to protect himself. He learned magical theoretics, algebra, calculus, you name it. Now he tries to learn the last thing he doesn't want to learn, psychology. To some of you who don't know, psychology is the study of the mind.

"Okay, now for mental illnesses. There are many illnesses of the mind. There is schizophrenia, bipolar disease, megalomania, and other things we will be learning about." Pinkiana said, writing things on the chalkboard. Radiant Tear began to dwell in his mind, the memories he had when he was a child. He remembered looking out the windows and seeing other ponies play. He would try to go out, but only few ponies would play with him because they never understood alicorns. But it would be their parents that would drag his friends aw-

"Radiant! Pay attention...I don't want you to forget all that you learned throughout the time you had here." Pinkiana yelled.

"How can I? This is psychology, study of the mind. I don't want to learn what's lost." Radiant Tear said in a melancholic tone.

"You didn't lose your mind. You are inside it. It's where we've-"

"I know that. I thought you'd be smart enough to understand what it meant, seeing that we learned philosophy just two years ago." Radiant said bleakly. Pinkiana pondered for a moment and realized what he meant. His loss of everything. How he lost his parents and few friends that he had. Pinkiana walked up to him and tried giving a hug, but she passed through him. "I want it all back. I want to be with my parents, friends, all that are depending on me!"

"I know you do. But we'll be someplace other than this!" Pinkiana tried to calm him down.

"But how long until we get there?! How long?!?!" He screamed, kicking away at everything. "I'm in my mind...I'll be a prisoner of my own body for the duration of the trip! It could take decades, centuries, maybe for eternity!"

"Sleep!" Pinkiana said before a white flash blurred in Radiant's vision. He tried resisting to whatever was grabbing him as he was being induced into sleep. As he fell on the ground, Pinkiana started tearing. "I'm so sorry..."

Prologue Ending

Radiant Tear Prologue End

Radiant Tear has been a prisoner of his mind for over 1000 years now. He was forced to build his own reality to keep himself sane. Pinkiana watched him as he walked around with ponies that were created from the depths of his mind. But it was saddening to know that all of this wasn't real. And it hurt her every time she had to remind Radiant Tear. His mind seemed to break apart everything he would create and had to start again from scratch. It also hurt Radiant, living life inside his mind. He would make friends with somepony. But just like in real life, they had an end. It saddened him that his creations would meet an untimely end.

This whole journey was the epitome of eternity. Radiant Tear learned all he had to know many centuries ago, but it seemed that all hope of finding another home was lost. He was just in his house atop of a little mountain, along with his lover, Leafy Leaves, a pony created from the depths of his mind. She was a nice pony, for she took care of Nature's pets and Nature itself. They were eating dinner when Pinkiana came into the dining room.

"Pinkiana! Such a pleasure to meet you. How are you?" Leafy Leaves cheerfully said, bowing her head a little.

"I'm fine, but I need to talk to Radiant Tear for a moment. It's very important." Pinkiana said, with a little shaky voice. Radiant sensed the aura she was giving off. He stood up and walked out of room, sitting out on the porch.

"What is it you want to talk about?" Radiant Tear asked, curious on what Pinkiana has to say.

"I checked outside of the pod. Scanners are lighting up. We found a habitable planet."

".............." Radiant Tear was silent. But a grin was plastered on his face. No one, not even Pinkiana could feel the joy he felt. He could finally be with something, or better yet, somepony.

"The Life Scanner detected life. I will not spoil the surprise for you. But we can finally have a home!"

"How long until we land? It can't be that long since you've no doubt set course for that planet."

"It will be in a few hours. Say your goodbyes to your creations. Your mind needs to be clear of all thoughts of this reality, or else you'll view reality as this. And it is extensively bad. I seen it happen during tests of this pod." Pinkiana saw his face change into a sorrowful mood. It's understandable, seeing that you have played God for centuries and have to kill your own creations, and put them back into your mind. Radiant Tear flew up, his horn glowing with a vicious aura. Deadly magic spat out of his horn, destroying everything at a molecular level. The only thing left was his house, that collapsed with the mountain. Leafy Leaves crawled out and sees the whole environment turn into a gym. The place where Radiant Tear first lived out his years learning.

"Honey?! What did you do? Why is everypony gone?!" Leafy said, covered in bruises and splinters of the wooden house. Radiant Tear walked up to her and tears splashed down in front of his lover, a creation of his mind.

"I have to leave you know. We've been together for a long time, but now it's my time to leave. You see, I'm-"

"God? Oh please...no...no no no! Why?! Why are you killing your own world!?"

"This world is just a place to keep me sane. I am not a god, but all of you ponies here saw me as a god; though none of you thought I was God." his horn glowed and her soul floated out of her body.

"Radiant...I will never forget you. I hope you are happy wherever you may be." She said, tears falling as she ascended upward. Pinkiana stepped up to him, looking scared.

"Uhhh...we have a problem. It seems that when that door malfunctioned, it kinda spread around. So the container is sealed, but you will be able to thaw out once it opens." Radiant Tear looked scared. He was terrified at a thought that struck him.

"What if we have another 1000 years to be discovered?! How intelligent are these creatures!?" Radiant yelled.

"I don't know! The Life Scanner doesn't show us intelligence, it shows what type of life they have. It's fully evolved though, so they might be intelligent, but not as us though." Pinkiana reassured him. He sighed. He doesn't want to be trapped for many more days or hours, or worse, years. All he can do is squeeze his eyes and yell.

"HELP!!!!!!!"

It was a lovely night on Ponyville. Twilight Sparkle and her new friends gazed up toward the sky, having a little party of their own on top of a hill. Pinkie Pie made the plans, Applejack created the snacks, Rarity made the ever so lovely decorations, Fluttershy was just enjoying the starlight, and Rainbow Dash gracefully flew into the dark skies. But Spike? Well, baby dragons need their sleep. And it was their time to celebrate the defeat of Nightmare Moon.

"Now would you look at that? Shooting stars!" Applejack said in a tone of awe. They all looked up and saw streaks of light sweeping across the sky.

"Pfft, I could go faster than that! Watch this!" Rainbow Dash boasted, dashing off into the sky. She sees one particular streak and catches up to it. She looks at it, smiling at the challenge, but realizes this one was heading for her, and fast. She abruptly stopped and watched it land into the Everfree Forest, making a small earthquake. Rainbow Dash raced back to her friends, seeing them either on their stomachs or on their backs.

"What on Earth made that dreadful quake!?" Rarity managed to say, despite being shaken around a lot.

"It made my voice sound funny!" Pinkie Pie cheerfully said.

"Rainbow Dash, did you see what made that?" Twilight Sparkle asked.

"It landed in the Everfree Forest! I'll show you!" Rainbow Dash flew toward the crash site, with her friends following her. When they got to the scene, there was a small crater and inside it, a big metallic ball, with one window jutting out a bit. They carefully approached the foreign object, curious as to what's inside it.

"Umm...it looks a bit scary..." Fluttershy mumbled, backing away.

"Hmm...it ain't openin'. Let me try buckin' the door off." Applejack said. Everypony backed away and she hoof kicked the door. Nothing happened. She tried bucking it at many angles but it barely nudged.

"Hmmm...let me see what's inside." Twilight placed her face against the window and her horn lit up, showing what's inside of this space object. "Guys, this is a space pod! There are beds in there!" She exclaimed, looking around in awe. She looked around more and saw a big red button on a console attached to the wall. She thought and used her magic to push the button. The walls weren't magic-proof and the button was pressed. The pod clicked and a soft noise was heard. The door leaned over and it fell off of it's hinges. Twilight and her friends ran out of the crater, expecting something to come out of it. 5 minutes passed, and nothing came out of the pod.

"Maybe we should check what's inside...I hope it's a cute creature!" Fluttershy said softly.

"A cute creature? From up in space? It's highly unlikely." Rarity said, in disgust of a thought. Fluttershy hugging a green slime monster. Ugh, the thought sickened her.

"C'mon! I wanna see what's inside!" Pinkie Pie cheerfully said, hopping up and down toward the space pod. They all followed and went inside. They looked and gasped at all of the advanced technologies they have never seen before.

"Why...this is way more advanced than what I saw at Manehattan." Applejack managed to say. They all looked at the sign above the container beds. Cryopod 1...Cryopod 2...Cryopod 3. Only 3 of these containers. They saw something inside of the 3rd cryopod and took a look.

"What the hay?!" Applejack gasped.

"Oh...my..." Fluttershy mumbled. Rarity fainted.

"Mother of Celestia..."Twilight exclaimed

"Are you kidding me?!" Rainbow Dash yelled.

"Another pony? A pony up in space?! This calls for another party!" Pinkie Pie cheerfully said.

"No time Pinkie Pie. He seems to be frozen in this pod. We need to-" a little electronic noise plus glowing interrupted her thoughts. There was a pink ghost that seemed to emanate from the ground. But when Twilight looked closer, it was the complex technology of this pod that made it appear.

"Hello...My name is A.I Pinkiana. You have no doubt seen this kind of technology before. But I digress, that young pony in there is named Radiant Tear. He has been in there for the longest time." Pinkiana walked up the the pod and examined closely. The six ponies couldn't help but stay silent. "He's now a grown colt, and his story is very sad. But a new chapter will open up to him...I hope that you all can help him in our quest in preserving our knowledge of our universe."

"Umm...Pinkiana, is it? How are you forming from the ground?" Twilight Sparkle asked. Pinkiana giggled.

"Technology is far more advanced than you think. It's a bit complicated for me to explain. I'll let you six be taught by him. This space pod has data banks of all our knowledge, but I sense no technological equipment on this planet that can install them. Now...you, white pony with the lovely mane. Please press that yellow button behind you. It will release him from his frozen prison." Pinkiana asked. Rarity looked behind her and saw the button. She slowly pressed it and the container slowly opened. They see a pony, his black hair curling at the ends and covering a bit of his face. A red cape covering his back and wrapping around his neck. He finally thaws and awaken from his eternal slumber, but his vision was blurry. But he can make out what he saw.

"Other ponies?! No...no I have to be dreaming...It has to be a horrible prank Pinkiana is doing..." Radiant Tear said, then gasping. He heard his voice. His true voice. It was a bit deeper than how he remembered it. His vision cleared up and he saw all 6 ponies that released him from the cryopod.

"Hello Radiant Tear...I'm Twilight Sparkle, and these are my friends! Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy." Twilight introduced herself and her friends.

"Hi there!" Pinkie Pie cheerfully exclaimed.

"Pleasure to make yer acquaintance." Applejack said shaking his numb hooves.

"A fine honor to meet you." Rarity bowed a bit.

"Nice to meet you Radiant!" Rainbow Dash smiled.

"Umm...hi." Fluttershy mumbled.

"..............Oh my...Pinkiana. This was the surprise? A colonies of ponies on another planet?" Radiant looked at Pinkiana. She smiled and shook her head.

"This planet has insufficient technology to start a colony on other planets." Pinkiana told him. He grunted and tried to stand, but he fell and landed on his stomach. Everypony went up to him to see if he's alright. He started sniffing and tears formed in his eyes.

"Radiant Tear, please don't cry. I know it hurts but you-"

"It's not that...I'm crying tears of joy. It's overwhelming for me to find other ponies in another universe. I've been trapped in that pod for...for over a thousand years." all the ponies, except, of course, for Pinkiana, gasped.

"How did you know it was for a thousand years? It must be a bore living throughout all that time!" Rarity commented. Radiant Tear managed to stand up now, still wobbling around.

"Ow...well, this pod has all knowledge of what is known to my fellow mares and colts in the other universe. I was deep in my mind, with a wire connecting into my brain. She was able to get in my mind and teach me all there was for...many years. But the boredom, seeing nothing but blank walls, books, and pictures from what I've learned and remembered drove me into insanity!" Radiant's eyes started to swell a bit in the amount of tears he's holding back. "All you six...my new friends...I...I..." He ran up to Rarity, being the pony next to him, and hugged her tightly. Rarity couldn't help but feel the atmosphere around him. His tears slipped, hitting the cold, metallic floor. Everypony walked up to him and had a group hug. Under his cape, a sign appeared. A simple tear, with the shine of a sun around it.

Reader, put yourself in his shoes, mind, whatever fits for you. You lose everything, love of your parents, kindness of an unknown stranger, your home, in a blink of an eye. And you have but one friend to accompany you. She teaches you all there is and all that's known. You lose sanity, lose hope that you'll never see reality ever again. She helps you stay as sane as possible, forcing you to play God and create other creatures to accompany your time. But everything has a time to go. Even in his mind, he would lose friends, pets even. But what he didn't know was that Pinkiana was teaching him the importance of life. We all take things for granted and don't appreciate what we have. Radiant Tear loved his parents and his home, but when during his education, all he wanted was to be with his parents. He wanted to die.

Pinkiana thought he was glad to have survived, but seeing that he just wanted his parents, she had to teach him to appreciate what he has now. Simply, enjoying the little things you have. She wanted him, for the sake of keeping his sanity, to be a content colt. It took her a long time and when he had to leave Leafy Leaves, she thought he failed her test. But witnessing the scene before her, she has succeeded her objective. She has to go into hibernation.

"Radiant Tear...it was nice educating you in the arts of knowledge, but it's time for me to hibernate. I need to save batteries or else I'd permanently die out." Pinkiana said. Radiant turned around and looked at her. He had a sad face instead of the happiness he recently found. But he nodded and smiled.

"Pinkiana...thank you. I'll make sure that I help out my fellow ponies on this planet. I hope to make it that you would come back to us. Thank you...for making me the content colt I am now..." He said, slipping out tears.

"Thank you for performing to my expectations. My primary objective is complete. Goodbye Radiant Tear..." Pinkiana closed her eyes and faded away into the ground. He resisted the tears and wiped them off. But in a distance, he heard her voice echo in the darkness of the night...and the memories of his mind.

Fitting In

Fitting In

Radiant Tear slept in Twilight Sparkle's house that night. He gazed into the dark violet sky, thinking about the past. Tomorrow he would get a tour of this area his new friends called "Ponyville". He thought more on the past and realized a few connections. A silly coincidence, but kinda freaky. The code to get in the space pod was TWILIGHT, his A.I friend was Pinkiana, and Leafy Leaves acted just like Fluttershy, except not as shy. He chuckled at these coincidences and stared at the moon. Something he had to get used to since there was no moon at his home planet.

He looked up and saw a purple mist flying toward the Everfree Forest. It was heading toward his space pod. He jumped off the balcony and rushed toward the crater, hoping to get there before that mist gets there. As he arrives, the mist isn't really a mist, but a pony who seems to be of high status. He walks closer and she perks up.

"Thou cannot sneak up on Princess Luna. The Mistress of The Night." the royal princess said. He stopped and sighed.

"I wasn't planning on it. I was wondering why you were heading to my space pod." Radiant questionably said. She looked at him and examined his clothing. A red cape made out of a foreign silky material, gold rings wrapped around his legs, and boots to cover his hooves.

"Thou came from the boundaries of our world? But thy looks is exactly the same as us!" Princess Luna exclaimed, looking skeptical to his words. He sighed and said something that a pony his age would never understand. He went on about many subject that stunned Luna for the past few minutes until she stopped him.

"That's quite enough. Thy intelligence is beyond any other colt I seen your age. Thou art just like Twilight Sparkle, my sister's protege, except you are smarter." Luna smiled. "So thou came from out there?"

"Yes...my home world was in shambles due to the fact that all 3 kinds of ponies were segregated. They didn't like each other, just their own kinds. Alicorns like me and you..." his wings spread, letting the red cape fall off. Luna gasped. "Alicorns would get executed at birth. But my parents were important scientist for our government so they let me live. But that's before the death of my universe. I escaped the apocalypse and am the sole survivor of my world." Radiant Tear swiped the cape and threw it at the air and letting it fall on his back, covering his wings.

"Thy wings are...not like ours. The metal looks as if it replaced your bones." Luna trotted closer and inspected his wings. He sighed, but managed to put on a smile.

"That will be a story of another day. I should get back to Twilight's house. It's about to be dawn and she's waking early to show me around Ponyville." Radiant exclaimed. Luna smiled and flaps her wings, going towards a castle off in the distance.

"Bye bye Princess Luna." Radiant whispered before heading back.

"This was the first place I've been to when I first visited Ponyville. Sweet Apple Acres! They have really sweet apples here." Twilight Sparkle exclaimed, showing Radiant Tear the big farm.

"Apples? I never heard of this delicacy, but it sounds very tasty. Let's go!" Radiant said enthusiastically. He ran down the pathway toward the farm and saw Applejack exit her house. She saw Radiant Tear and Twilight Sparkle running down to her farm. She waved and greeted her new friends.

"Hey Twilight! Hey Radiant! Whatcha guys doin' here?" Applejack said as she shook Radiant's hoof.

"Just giving him a tour of Ponyville. You should let Radiant try an apple. He's never had one before." Twilight said, not noticing Applejack's horrified face.

"WHAT?!! Never had an apple before!?" Applejack yelled as she out into the orchards. Radiant Tear had a look of confusion when a red apple came out of nowhere and landed in front of him. He picked it up and ate it. His taste buds exploded in sweetness and he gasped.

"Oh my...this is really a pure taste quality! I love it!" Radiant cheered. Twilight and Applejack cheered with him. Applejack showed him to her family.

"Hey Applejack, who's yer new friend?" a young apricot filly asked when Radiant and Applejack walked in the house.

"Apple family...meet Radiant Tear. He's new in Ponyville and Twilight is showin' 'im around town. That's my big brother Big Macintosh. My younger sister Apple Bloom. And that there is Granny Smith." Applejack helped Radiant Tear make acquaintances with her family.

"Hi there stranger! I hope you feel welcome in Ponyville!" Apple Bloom smiled

"Eeyup. Come over anytime you need to." Big Macintosh shook hooves with Radiant.

"Anypony is welcome here." Granny Smith said giving him an apple biscuit. He looked at the gift and took a bite. He gasped and ate the whole thing.

"Uhh...but not when you have a large appetite." Big Macintosh sweated a little. Radiant Tear laughed a bit and he left with Twilight Sparkle.

"Thank you! I'll see you later!" Radiant Tear waved to the Apple family as him and Twilight leave the farm. They walk around in Ponyville and he sees a particular shop that looks like it sells sweets and chocolate.

"And that shop is Sugarcube Corner. That's where Pinkie Pie lives and helps the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Cake, with the sweets and baking." Twilight said in her new guide voice. Radiant Tear ran into Sugarcube Corner and rushed inside. He slipped on the floor and crashed into the kitchen. The pots and pans flew everywhere and a bowl full of leftover cookie dough landed in his head. Pinkie Pie, coming back inside after getting some more ingredients, smiles and hops toward Radiant Tear.

"Hi Radiant Tear! Licking all the leftover cookie dough?" Pinkie Pie cheerfully asked. Radiant Tear got up, held the bowl and clean the bowl clean.

"Yeah! Sorry for not asking but it's been long since I've tasted anything real!" Radiant gleefully exclaimed. He put the bowl in the sink. Twilight Sparkle came in the kitchen and saw the mess Radiant Tear made.

"Oh...what happened here?" Twilight asked, concerned. Radiant Tear's stomach grumbled loudly, with stares toward him.

"Haha...do you have any cheesecakes?" Radiant chuckled a bit. Pinkie Pie gave him a plate after they cleaned up the mess in the kitchen. Never in their lives had they seen a colt eat a big 32 ounce cheesecake in less than a minute. After he was done, he burped a bit loud.

"Oh my goodness. Heeheehee...that beat my record of 3 minutes 35 seconds!" Pinkie Pie giggled. Radiant Tear burped and got up.

"Ahh...thank you dearly for the cheesecake. I'll see you later." Radiant said as he and Twilight Sparkle left the store of sweets. They visited the Carousel Boutique, Rarity's shop and house. As they went inside, they see Rarity working on a suit. It looked of royal design and seemed to be in Radiant's size.

"Hello darlings! You're just in time! I've just finished a suit that I think would fit Radiant Tear. It's suited for his color and it would look exquisite on him." Rarity smiled and gave the attire to Radiant Tear.

"Thank you Rarity...umm where can I change?" Radiant said looking around. Rarity pointed upstairs.

"First door to the left." Rarity said. Radiant Tear walked upstairs and closed the door.

"So...uhh...how does it look?" Radiant Tear came out, dressed in a black suit with a white tie decorated with precious gems. Rarity fell over and Twilight Sparkle was a bit stunned for a minute.

"You look fabulous! But Rarity thinks a bit more than good so it must be-"

"Fantastic! I have never seen such work outdone. I will keep this juuuust in case if you get invited to the Grand Galloping Gala." Rarity said, taking the attire off of Radiant Tear. When they took it off, Twilight realized that his cape was still on. She decided to ask later. So Twilight and Radiant waved goodbye before heading off to Fluttershy's house. As they opened the door, he saw the most wonderful sight. Fluttershy was caring for a small fluffy creature.

"Awwwwwwww it's so cute!" Radiant gasped and squealed a bit. Fluttershy jumped a bit and the creature woke up, looking a bit peeved. "Oops...I'm sorry...I didn't mean to-"

"It's okay Radiant. It must be quite lonely being in that little bed in your spaceship." Fluttershy said, rocking the creature back to sleep. "It's my pet bunny, Angel."

"Bun...ny? That furry creature is called bunny? It sounds weird, but rather fitting!" Radiant said.

"C'mon Radiant, we still need to find Rainbow Dash and we'll go back to the library to introduce you to Spike. He's a baby dragon and my #1 assistant." Twilight said before they said their goodbyes to Fluttershy. They wandered around Ponyville, hoping to see Rainbow Dash. They wandered around and found themselves at the Town Square.

"Let's take a break Radiant. All that walking is a bit tiring." Twilight said, sitting in front of the fountain. Radiant sat next to her and stretched a bit.

"I concur, plus that cheesecake is slowing me down a bit. I feel that a break should suffice." Radiant said with a smile. He saw Twilight sneaking a small peak of his cape. He felt a bit uncomfortable. "I...uhh...just don't mind the cape. It has an embarrassing insignia on my flank."

"You mean cutie mark?" Twilight asked.

"Cutie mark? You mean the insignias that randomly appear on everyponies flank? Then yes. Umm why are these called cutie marks here?" Radiant Tear asked with his hoof on his chin after a few moments of thinking.

"You definitely have a lot to learn about our civilization. Anyway your cutie mark can't be that embarrassing." Twilight said, reaching for the cape. Radiant jumped up and moved a few inches away.

"I really don't want to show you my insignia. It's actually better you don't know what's under this cape." Radiant Tear said having a look of shame on his face. Twilight decided to stop and sit a bit quietly. Then, as if lightning flashed by, Rainbow Dash zipped passed them and the wind she created with her speed threw Twilight and Radiant off their flanks and on their stomach after rolling a few times. Radiant quickly got up and adjusted his cape a bit.

"Rainbow Dash! Wait up!" Twilight Sparkle yelled when she got back up. Rainbow dash kept flying away, off into the sky. Twilight sighed. "Well, I guess I can show you around the library now. Spike must be bored doing some of the chores in the library."

"You say he's a baby dragon? What are dragons anyway?" Radiant asked.

"They're big scaly monsters that have the ability to breathe fire. They feed on meat and snack on gems like emeralds, topaz, any precious stones. Plus they have really long necks." Twilight explained.

"So they're like reptiles? Since most reptiles have scaly skin...but then it also has a serpentine figure since it has a long neck. Oh we're here aren't we?" Radiant said, looking at the tree house.

"Yep, literally a tree house. You were here last night."

"Must have slipped my mind, or the excitement that I felt that there were other ponies throughout the whole multiverses. Let's meet your baby dragon." Radiant said, opening the door for Twilight.

"Oh, you're too kind. You're the guest here." Twilight said, blushing a bit.

"It's my pleasure. I rather I'd be treated as an equal, not be spoiled with manners appointing to my reputation." Radiant said. Spike was on a ladder, alphabetizing some of the books. He turns around and nearly lost his balance, had it not been for Radiant Tear's quick reflexes.

"Whoa, thanks dude. Hey Twilight, who's your new friend?" Spike asked. Twilight dazed off a minute until Spike snapped his fingers. "Hello? Anyone home?"

"Oh sorry. This is Radiant Tear. He's new around here." Twilight introduced them both.

"Awesome. Say, Twilight, do you know what caused that shaking last night?" Spike asked. Twilight started to ponder on if she should tell him the truth or lie. Radiant sensed this and cleared his throat.

"It was me. You see, I come from a place beyond the sky." Radiant Tear said. Spike looked up at him and kinda laughed.

"Haha you don't look like any alien I seen in the books I read." Spike laughed until it died down when Radiant Tear held a more serious look. "Oh...you're serious."

"My space pod landed in the Everfree Forest. I have a friend in there that is in hibernation so that her batteries won't run out. The batteries are made of pure plasma that has been concentrated so that it was safe to hold in plasma-proof containers." Radiant Tear said in an intelligent tone. Spike's brain couldn't comprehend what he said, while Twilight knew what he was doing, but also tried to understand what he said.

"Well...I'll go to my space pod...maybe in a few days I could get some furnishings for it to make it a house...plus make a little roadway so others could follow it if they want to visit me. I thank you Twilight Sparkle for giving me a tour." He bowed his head before leaving.

"Thanks a lot Spike, you offended him."

"I'm sorry, but it really doesn't look like he came from..." Radiant Tear overheard their argument as he walked away. His eyes started to swell up in tears. He wanted someone to understand his pain, but they've shown him happiness. Sure, it gets rid of the pain from the memories that haunt, but they'll always come back. As Radiant Tear placed the broken door on the opening, he heard a electronic noises. He looked behind him and saw a screen that held words.

"How was your day?" The screen said. Radiant cocked his eyebrow up and wondered what was going on. The screen flashed again and letters starting flashing one by one. "It's me, Pinkiana." Radiant Tear gasped and smiled.

"It was the most joyous day ever. I thought you went into hibernation so that you would save batteries!" Radiant exclaimed, feeling concerned for his artificial friend.

"Solar energy from the sun is giving this space pod energy so I can communicate with you. I have enough to talk to you for 20 minutes until I go into hibernation again. I want to talk to you at least twice a week so that I know what's going on." Pinkiana said within that screen. Radiant Tear started to weep a little bit, but he wiped the tears and told her about the whole day he had. He slept well tonight, knowing that he won't be alone anymore.
