The REAL truth behind Nightmare Moon
Chapter 1: The Beginning
It was a bright, sunny day in Ponyville. Twilight Sparkle was studying, Pinkie Pie was baking, Rainbow Dash was napping-perfectly normal. However, for a certain yellow pony, things were not going as planned.
"Hmm," Fluttershy mused. "I must have forgotten to pick up your carrots-Angel, be quiet! Um, please?" She asked. She had woken up with a bad feeling about the day, and that feeling must have been right, because downstairs the animals were rampaging. "Stop it!" She cried. She could always use the Stare... No. Never again. Not after she had heard the rumors. The rumors that had been haunting everypony. She couldn't use the Stare now, she thought, as she ran frantically around to stop the animals. She looked down, seeing the chipmunk who had broken his leg yesterday. She scooped him up and put him back in his cage. The animals were everywhere. Fluttershy told herself over and over again not to use the Stare. Eventually, she got all the animals back where they needed to be. She sighed and went to the kitchen to make a cup of tea.
Meanwhile, at Sweet Apple Acres, there was another crisis. "SIS', YOU GET YOUR FLANK DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW, YA' HEAR???" Applejack screamed to the Cutie Mark Crusaiders tree house. "Comin', Applejack!" Apple Bloom called down. Applejack sighed. Once again, Apple Bloom had gone out to the Everfree Forest by herself to deliver apples to Zecora, and it was time for Applejack to put a firm hoof on the law. Finally, Apple Bloom came down. "Apple Bloom, why did you go into the Everfree Forest by yourself? We ain't supposed to go 'till Friday!" Applejack huffed. "I won't tolerate this kind o' rule-breakin'! If I catch ya'll goin' down there again, you'll be in an apple tree worth of trouble!" She said. "Yes maam." Apple Bloom responded. Apple Bloom knew Applebuck season was coming near and it was a stress to everypony on Sweet Apple Acres. She really didn't want to make Applejack mad right then.
Rarity was even having problems. Her dress for a big modeling company was due the next day, and she hadn't even started. At least Sweetie Bell is at Sweet Apple Acres, she thought. That keeps her out of my mane. She put on her glasses and looked at the different fabrics. "Hmm....This is perfect! It will go so great with the rubies!" She said as she levitated a sparkling pink color. She put it on her sewing machine and began to work. As she sewed, though, the beautiful fabric tore, ruining her plans. She sighed. Sparkling fabrics were the hardest to sew. She got a different colored fabric and went to work again. It tore. Another fabric. It tore. After 5 fabrics, she cried, "IS THIS SEWING MACHINE HAUNTED OR SOMETHING???" and stormed off to see if she could get a new one.
Now, I'm afraid, we must leave Ponyville and go to Canterlot, where the biggest problem awaits.

Princess Celestia sighed. Sometimes her sister could be so unreasonable. "Luna, we can't tell them yet. They know the rumors. Isn't that enough?" Luna shook her head. "No, dear sister, we must warn them of the evil spreading throughout our universe and others." Luna gluped. She remembered when it had took hold of her, turning her into the evil Nightmare Moon, her own thought process changing as her appearance changed. She shivered. It had not been a pleasant feeling, a feeling of death, of evil, of nothingness. "It would scare them." Princess Celestia countered, "We cannot have chaos throughout the land. We must wait." "But sister..." Luna said. "Just, think about it overnight, please?"
The next morning, Princess Celestia barged into her room. "I'm ready." She said, "Lets tell them."
