Applejack awoke to the sound of hooves wildly pacing, echoing as each hoof made contact with the ground.

"No, you're not real!" a voice barked, causing a pony in front of her to whirl madly.

"W-who's there?" Applejack questioned, feeling like she had been hit with a sledgehammer over the head. The pony in front of her didn't seem to care and kept babbling at nothing.

"I'm not crazy, you're crazy! Especially you, Spike! Who laughs while they're dying?" the pony growled before turning her head to Applejack. Applejack felt an eye ridge raise as Twilight walked over to her. Twilight didn't waste time on theatrics like with the others, there was no time, especially since Rainbow, Pinkie, and Spike were haunting her!  She turned on her extraction machine, grumbling about not being able to properly study Applejack. Meanwhile, two creatures looked at her with shock.

"Spike?" Pinkie questioned, plugging the hole in her throat. Twilight had been saying something about Spike, but he hadn't appeared in their pocket dimension. "Where is he?" Pinkie asked of the pegasus next to her.

"I doubt he's there, she's just seeing things" Rainbow scoffed, knowing that taking the words of ponies was foolish. "Then again, who knows, maybe the witch swallows souls" Rainbow spat before continuing to take a bite out of her flank.

"It waits for the day, you will let it out

To give it a reason to give it it's might"

Twilight sang, ignoring Applejack's protests as she put some cables onto the Earth Pony's tongue. Twilight then pulled down her scalper, hoping honesty would break before laughter did.

"You fear who I am becoming

You feel that you are losing the struggle within

You can no longer restrain it

Your strength, it is fading

You have to give in"

Twilight snarled as she had Applejack look at some text. The text read, "If this is an apple, nod" with an arrow pointing to a drawing of an apple. Twilight would have said it herself, but she was preoccupied making sure Applejack didn't die from shock. It had nearly happened with Pinkie, she would not let it happen here. Applejack nodded, still honest and received a shock to the tongue from the cables for her troubles.

"It's the fear

Fear of the truth

It's growing inside of you

And my dream will come to life"

Twilight laughed, pulling up a new slide, this time having an image of Applejack leaving for the fields. The text read "Are you going to play in the field?". Twilight knew well that assaulting all at once was a bad idea, Pinkie testified to that. This time she'd start off slow, make Applejack tell a white lie and slowly go on from there.  Twilight put a small needle into Applejack's back, injecting a serum that'd make her more susceptible to suggestion.

"Have to save

Save my integrity

There is no escape

Because my fate is horror and doom"

Applejack moaned before lying for the first time. She shook her head, no, she wasn't going to the fields. The very action of lying made the Earth Pony groan in pain. Twilight ignored the groan and giggled. Success! Applejack was already breaking down like glass.

"Hold down your head now

Just let me pass by

Don't feed my anger

If you don't want pain out"

Twilight snarled, pushing the button that turned on the electricity. Applejack winced, expecting pain to surge through her again. Instead, she heard Twilight's laughing as she showed the earth pony a clicker. The clicker had made a noise similar to the electric button and thus, Applejack had flinched with the expectation of pain. Twilight wrote down the reaction in her note book before changing the slide. It now showed the picture of the apple from the first slide.

"You fear who I am becoming

You feel that I'm losing all beauty within

You can no longer restrain it

Your strength, it is fading

You have to give in"

Twilight snarled as Applejack, told the truth once more. Another shock would hopefully remedy that. Zap. This time, Applejack shook her head, no, it wasn't an apple. Good, Honesty was starting to surface.

"It's the fear

Fear of the dark

It's growing inside of me

It's won, it has come to life"

A voice called, resonating in Twilight's head. Twilight's eyes widened in fear. No, no, not again! She would not get any more shadows haunting her! The mad unicorn whirled about, spittle dribbling from her jaw as she panicked. She'd have to finish up, even if it meant skipping her tests.

"Can not save

Save my integrity

There is no escape

Because my fate is horror and doom"

Applejack lamented, being terrified of everything now. She still hated lies, but she was too scared to try. Twilight slammed down on a different button, her "mind warp" machine. In an instant, Applejack's mind was being blasted to shreds. What was real and what was not? Who knew?

"Long ago, it came to me

And ever since that day

Enlightened with clarity

But you end today"

Twilight mocked as she mashed buttons randomly, creating new memories, warping old ones, and twisting the farmer's perception. Applejack finally broke, Honesty surging from her head as the earth pony broke into a stream of lies, some of which were more blatant than the ones she had told under Discord.

"It's the fear

Fear of the truth

It has grown inside of you

It's won, it will come to life"

Twilight laughed, shocking the confused pony for good measure. Time to bring the curtain down.

"Have to save

Save myself

There is no escape

Because my fate is horror and doom"

Applejack managed to mumble as Twilight caught the spark of Honesty in her magic. Twilight pushed the red button once more. ZAP! Applejack didn't breathe anymore.

"BUCK, ANOTHER ONE!?" Rainbow roared as a hole appeared in their purgatory, dropping Applejack in front of her and Pinkie with a hard thud.
