The day of war begins

[ok, so this is when the story begins to get more serious, we have met everyone and had a lot of laughs… but the story must go on, don’t worry, it won’t always be serious, still lots of fun, but it will get a bit darker past this point]

The first part is read from the view of a modern pony (I will let you guess who) reading about ancient equestrian history
Here we go…

In the book of harmony pg 643…
Then came the day that none forget.
‘Twas a day of fire,
a day of regret.
Their armies marching
cross the land,
the time for battle
was now at hoof.
The fire scorched the fields of grain
The day of death, the day of pain.
The griffens came through the walls like nails through board
‘Twas to be Equestria, that faced the hoard
The griffens came like waves of fire
For ponies blood was their one desire
And when night came,
The darkness reigned,
For then was released, the shadowed mane
When out from the darkness came a cry,
Of a demon monster, who was ready to die.
‘Tis day we mourn, for our sorrowfully lost
The day was won,
But at what cost?

In Silent’s bedroom…
Silent woke up, climbed out of bed, went to the bathroom, came back into his room and froze.

Something wasn’t right, something was missing, he thought of his normal morning routine

Wake up:√

Get out of bed: √

Go to the bathroom: √

Get smacked/punched/thrown through the wall by dad:…X

Silent looked at the wall the, distinctly…him-shaped, hole was still there, pure had stopped trying to repair it a while ago, but it was not fresh so he knew that his dad didn’t hit him through it today

[I know what you are thinking, “how could you not know if you had been hit through a wall” but keep in mind, Darkened is strong, and it would not be the first time he had unintentionally given his son minor brain damage]

This could not be good, well Silent was fine with it because walls are hard and generally being flung through them is not within the intended purpose.

But it was not something that his Dad simply forgot to do like feeding his son while he was a new born or baby proofing the house; this was a ritual for him.

Something wasn’t right.

So Silent, feeling that things were not as they were supposed to be, quietly kept low to the ground, and snuck his way into the kitchen, keeping out of view from the windows, after all, if his parents didn’t tell him were they were then generally that meant people weren’t supposed to know where they were, which meant people probably shouldn’t know where he was either
.
“Empty…well shit.” Silent said under his breath, his parents weren’t there either, and there was a note on the fridge.

Silent slowly crept over to the fridge, when out of the corner of his eyes he saw a flicker of movement through the window.

He took another step forward and saw that the note had what looked like two acronyms

B.R.T.F

G.T.L.H

A second before he could think of what this could mean

three shadows burst through the window he had moments before seen the shadows in.

As he saw their claws and their black banded uniforms, the meaning of the first collection of letters came to him.

And so did they

His brain went into overdrive, all of those years in combat training and wrestling with his Dad, all of the lessons he had
learned so far, led up to this moment.

He started his stopwatch

His mother’s message was simple

Be Ready To Fight

And so he was.

the fight music

The first of the three assailants charged him, lunging forward with his claws outstretched greedily towards what he thought would be an easy kill.

Silent on the other hoof had other plans, he stomped the ground forcing up a floorboards so it would intercept the razor sharp claw before it met his flesh.

It stuck, the wood took hold of the griffin’s horribly serrated claw and refused to let go. Silent, seizing this moment of opportunity grabbed the griffin by the shoulder and forced him into the floor while his claw was made to stay up because of the vertical orientation of the floor board, and with a bone chilling pop his arm was dislocated.

Silent wasn’t quite done yet though, he grabbed the griffens other claw and slammed it into the uprooted floorboard as well. He then pounded the griffen down with his back leg and ripped the board from the floor.

After a moment he flipped the griffen over it so that the board was laying against his back, effectively breaking both his wrists in doing so.

At this the girffen let out a bloodcurdling scream of pain. Silent… silenced [hehe] him with a curb stomp to the beak.

He clicked the stopwatch

“One down” Silent sneered at the remaining two attackers, “And in only…24 seconds” he mocked as he menacingly drew out his bat like wings.

The second griffen only snickered and said “Frederick was a fool, don’t think we shall be so easily defeated”

“Tell that to your buddy” Joked Silent motioning to the griffen who was now flying away from the house as quickly as his wings could carry him.

“And he was a coward, his absence will make no difference.” Said the griffen, his face still not showing an inkling of emotion.

“Well you know what they say,” said Silent, who what with all of the adrenalin couldn’t contain himself, “If you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen.”

At that the now agitated griffen said “Enough with your jokes, it is time for you to meet the ferry man” as he calmly drew his
crooked single edged sword [that is a sword with only one sharp side] from his scabbard.

“OOOO, are we using blades now?” Asked Silent as he hit the drawer next to him revealing several large knifes.

He took one in each hoof and stood on his hind legs, gently flapping his wings for support.

“Round TWO baby WOOOOOOOOOOO” Silent Yelled as he burst forward, closing the distance in a matter of a second
and managing to catch the griffen completely off guard.

He jabbed forward with the knife in his left hoof while keeping his right close to his body.

The griffen fell for it, just as his father had told him he would, and took the bait, swinging his sword in a sweeping motion from right to left across Silent’s body.

Silent than stopped the blade with his right knife, letting go of it once the sword was fully stopped and grabbed the blunt side with his now free right hoof.

Once this first step was done he dragged his left hoof knife down the side of the blade into the hilt, swiftly slicing off the claws that held the sword.

He then let go of the knife in his left hoof, using the forward momentum to plunge it into the griffins chest and then grabbed the hilt with the same hoof.

Now holding the sword, Silent spun to the left, bringing the sword around his body and guiding it expertly into the head of the now horrified griffin.

[you can stop the music now]
He clicked his stop watch.
“hmmmm 39 seconds, minus the chit chat, 18 seconds, I thought you said you would last longer?... why am I taking to a corps?” Silent asked himself as he began to calm down.

He always hated how cocky he got when his adrenalin started to pump, he always sounded like his Father.

“Now, what was that other part of the message?” He asked himself turning back towards the fridge…

[That is all for now, but i will be working on this a lot within the next week because i have off from school]
