An alien hero and an ordinary pegasus join forces to vanquish the evil Galactic Beasts!

A Spin-Off series requested by Arthur Derpmanson for his own Cardfight!! Vanguard FIM Fic.

Rocket Blaze is an ordinary pegasus that has a hobby of building plastic robot models. One day, he sees a giant monster attacking Ponyville. Rushing in, he almost gets killed.

ALMOST.

A silver giant saves him, and here begins his quest to find this giant!

Episode 1: My Name is Rocket Blaze!

It was a dark and normal night in Ponyville, and all were sound asleep. One certain pegasus, however, had a dream that is worth telling. This is what he saw.

Rocket Blaze opened his eyes. A moment ago, he felt an explosion that turned all of Ponyville into rubble. He looked around and saw unmoving bodies of ponies he knew. In the horizon, he saw a red glow. He tried to go nearer to get a closer look, but bolts of energy struck the ground around him. He looked at the glow again, and this time saw four unknown figures. From their dark, towering silhouettes their eyes glowed bloody red. With these traits, Rocket Blaze knew they weren't there to help.

Again, he forced his body to move, and this time he got to stand up. But the giants were nearer now, and their vicious claws and fangs were ready to rip him apart. Rocket couldn't move away, and braced himself for the end.

Suddenly, another giant appeared before him. This one was a silver humanoid, as large as the others, but was protecting him from the others. The silver giant stood up and shoot a ray of golden light at the four titans, who were blasted to nothingness.

But a gigantic, black ring appeared in the sky, and a hand emerged from its center. Slowly, it reached out towards Rocket Blaze and the giant...

"Rocket? ROCKET! WAKE UP, YOU-! I'll be late for school...AGAIN!!!" Overdrive yelled at his sleeping older brother. Rocket Blaze sprang out of the bed, hit the ceiling, and fell back onto the bed. He rubbed his head with his right hoof and looked at Overdrive.

"What is it?" Rocket asked, "It's not even...5:30...?"

Frustrated, Overdrive walked to the window position at the wall in front of the bed and pulled away the curtains. Bright beams of light seared Rocket Blaze's eyes. "Wanna bet?" Overdrive added as he watched his brother covering his eyes in agony.

Rocket Blaze, after a quick bath and a small bowl of cereal, Rocket finally finished Overdrive's lunch. With that made, he picked up his little brother and his school bag and headed for the school.

"We've got twenty minutes! It'll take us thirty if we walk!" Overdrive yelled, kicking his brother.

Rocket shook off his sibling and held him with his mouth. "If you won't stop beating me up and yelling at me, maybe I'll be much faster." he said with a muffled voice. Rocket dashed forward, becoming faster with each passing gallop until...

ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Overdrive's eyes opened a little, but all he can see are lines, as if he was in the cockpit of some ship traveling at light-speed. Overdrive tried to open his mouth, but when he did, he observed a few things: he was already at the playground, he was still being held by Rocket Blaze who was standing, and all of the kids and even Cheerilee were looking at them with a stunned look. After a few awkward seconds, Rocket dropped Overdrive. He gave the colt his bag and rubbed his head with one of his front hooves.

"Have fun, bro." Rocket told Overdrive with a wink, then he zoomed back to their home. The kids were staring at the cloud trail while Overdrive headed for the building to put down his stuff.

Rocket Blaze hurriedly opened his work shop. It had this quaint, plain facade and had a sign with "Rocket Blaze: Locksmith, Repair-pony, and Tinker" written on it. The business had enough customers to make Rocket and Overdrive survive each day, and it was relatively easy for Rocket.

Today, Rocket was tasked with repairing the Apple family's old grandfather clock, a video game machine from Button, one of Pinkie Pie's automated musical instruments, and a wind up toy from Thunderlane, whom Rocket is friends with. These were easy fixes, and Rocket found himself with nothing to do at 4:27 in the afternoon. With no potential customers in sight, Rocket took out a box of a project of his own: a robot model kit. A few minutes after putting together plastic bits, Rocket looked up to the sky and noticed this small thing descending rapidly. Rocket placed down the parts into the box and headed out to the open. The strange object crashed a few blocks away, and what emerged was...

"One of the giants from the dream?!" Rocket thought out loud as he beheld a giant, gray humanoid with red markings on its legs and blades for hands. The giant looked around at the royal guards that rushed to neutralize it, and zapped them with energy beams, immediately frying them. The titan stood up to its full height, about thrice the size of a house. It strode towards the Golden Oaks Library and roared continuously. If the presence of a giant alien wasn't enough, something else descended from the heavens. It was a blue, giant humanoid machine with beast heads for hands. The robot blocked the alien's path to the library, just in time as Twilight Sparkle, Spike, and the rest of the Mane 6 to emerge from it.

"What...is that thing?!" Rainbow Dash said.

"Well," Spike said, "obviously, the blue thing is a robot, the gray one is...I don't know."

"Freeze!" the giant robot said, its voice sounding like some monotonous tough guy, "Dimension Police! Surrender now or you will be forcefully apprehended!"

The gray giant snarled at the robot and went into a fighting stance.

"So be it." the robot replied, extending its arms and charging orbs of energy from its hands. The gray alien fired waves of red energy from its arms that hit the robot, but its sole response was two strong energy beams. Afterwards, the robot and the other giant charged at each other, immediately being locked in close combat. The robot was able to immobilize the alien and positioned it face-front of the Mane 6 (and Spike).

"Quickly evacuate!" the robot said, "Evacuate! Situation is temporarily contained! Please evacuate for your own personal safety! "

"Alright girls!" Twilight said, wearing her crown with the Element of Magic while the others wore their own Elements, "Now is our chance!"

They charged the elements and fired a beam of light at the gray alien...well, at least it was supposed to hit it. The alien was able to fling the robot over it shoulder, thus making it take the hit.

"Aw....buck."

The machine burst into five mechanical beasts, two of which where destroyed the the alien's deadly beams of light. The six tried to fire beams again and again, but the alien deflected them with its own beams. And this time, the alien shot four beams from its head and hit Spike, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, and Fluttershy...

"What the-?!" Twilight shouted when Pinkie Pie started attacking her, "Not funny, Pinkie!"

Twilight looked around and saw Spike firing streams of...fire at Rarity. Applejack was charging at the white unicorn, and Rainbow Dash found herself being beaten up by Fluttershy. Immediately, Twilight knew that Pinkie wasn't joking. She looked into Pinkie's eyes, and figured it all out.

"Mind Control!"

Rocket Blaze didn't know what to do. Surely there was some way he could help them...

Then it hit him, well, something else nearly hit him. A large mechanical bird landed next to him. Rocket immediately checked it. It had major damages, mainly in the weapons, engines, and automated guidance systems (how Rocket comprehends the structure and internal workings of giant robots is yet to be explained). With this situation, Rocket disabled the machine's auto-pilot and decided to help the mane 6 with the machine.

The moment he sat on the pilot's seat, a helmet snapped itself onto his head. The cockpit itself seemed to "adapt" for Rocket to be able to operate it. Not minding the adjustments, Rocket decided to fight with what he's got.

"Hey!" Rocket yelled at the alien, catching its attention, "Hey, Shell head! Pick on someone your own size!"

The alien didn't seem to understand the words, but it comprehended the tone of Rocket's voice. Immediatelly, it fired rays of light near the bird mech, making it fling away. This is what Rocket was waiting for.

"YES!!!" Rocket said. He had rigged a lightning rod in order to collect the energy from the attack and make it safer for the machine to harness. The robot bird's systems light up and it blasted off into the skies. Rocket looked upon the boot-up screen, which read "Cosmo Beak. Dimension Police Defense Force." "Alright, Cosmo Beak..." Rocket thought to himself, "Let's see what you can do..."

Cosmo Beak was able to fly despite the damages, but Rocket can only keep it at a certain level as to not lose balance and cause more destruction. With the long-ranged weapons systems jammed, Rocket simply distracted the alien and made Cosmo Beak slice the alien with its claws. The alien, out of annoyance, knocked away the mechanical bird and went off on a rampage. Luckily, most of Ponyville have been able to evacuate, except for-

"Overdrive!"

The school was, apparently, the cover of the evacuation center which now held everyone else. The alien chased the citizens and found their unlikely sanctuary. Grinning maniacally inside, the alien ffired beams at the school, nearly penetrating a magical barrier that protected the bunker underneath it. Rocket Blaze, seeing that Cosmo Beak is in critical condition yet somehow able to fly, decided there was only one thing he could do: kamikaze.

Rocket made Cosmo Beak fly into the alien giant at full speed. There was no turning back, there was no other choice. It was now...or never. As bad luck had it, the alien swatted away Cosmo Beak once again, making the avian automaton spin around the air and descending to the town. Rocket knew that he was gone for. His own acts were in vain. He felt completely useless...

In the most unanticipated time possible, another glowing object zoomed down from the sky and hit Cosmo Beak. The impact resulted into an explosion of a bright, green light, and blinded everything that saw it.

Rocket Blaze opened his eyes. Instead of the cockpit, he found himself in an area of pure light. In front of him was a towering giant, a giant that was in the dream! But this giant was one of the ones that nearly killed him in the dream, it was the one that saved him!

"Who-Who are you? Wh-Where am I?!" Rocket asked.

"I came from a far away galaxy known as the E-70 Nebula..." the giant replied, "I...am Enigman Storm."

"Why...did you...save me?"

"As I orbited your planet, I saw you willing to sacrifice yourself to save your people. I felt a strong sense of justice within you, and also, a brave soul.

"If I unite with you, we will be able to defend your world from the Galactic Beasts, creatures I was commanded to destroy.

"I will be active on your planet for a limited amount of time, to prevent us from totally merging, and to rejuvenate my energies..."

"But....why can't you do it on your own?"

"On my way here, I was attacked, and my energies drained from me. I have little left, and my body can not last long alone. If we merge, not only will I be able to recover, but I will be able to help you, Rocket Blaze. I can help you protect your people."

From Storm's hand emerged a small trinket, on it is a small, green crystal. It floated towards Rocket Blaze in such grace.

"If you can not save others on your own, use this." Storm said.

Rocket Blaze thought. If he took it, some alien will reside in his body and enable him to protect everyone. If he didn't, then he'd let everyone down, he'd fail to protect them. The thought of seeing Overdrive dead made Rocket take the EnigBrace.

Twilight used her magic to fling some debris at Fluttershy and Spike, who were teaming up on Rarity. Pinkie Pie was about to slam her with a large, steel beam when a bright light shone all over the place. When it was over, the particles of light seemed to arrange themselves into a humanoid titan. This new giant was silver in color, had green lines on its body, pointed shoulder pads, and two horns at the left and the right of its pointed head. Its eyes were shining yellow and on its chest was a glowing crystal. The first giant seemed to curse at the sight of this newcomer.

The question was: Is this new giant here to save them, or destroy them?

“Enigman…” the first alien snarled. The alien waved its right arm and some unicorns, pegasi, Fluttershy, Spike, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie charged at Storm. The Enigman tried not to harm the hypnotized ponies, but when they began to use their magic to harm others, he decided there was no other choice.

Storm dashed forward to the alien, every foot step shook the streets slightly but enough to make ponies lose their balance. The evil alien commanded some pegasi to swarm around him to protect him, but the Enigman simply bashed them away. When its living wall vanished, the alien tried to fly away.

Seizing the opportunity, Storm reached out to the fleeing alien’s leg and tried to pull it down. The alien retaliated, and Storm kept pulling it, eventually ripping it off and being splattered with green blood. Despite the pain, the alien continued its escape, but Storm caught up and punched its head, sending the villain down to the ground.

Upon impact, Storm delivered a barrage of punches, but the alien whacked his side with its tentacle. It tried again with another, but the Enigman caught it and swung the creature round and round and flung it at the library. The alien stood up on its two tentacles and ran towards Storm, who leaped and taunted it. When his opponent stood up with an extended tentacle as a crutch, Storm decided it was time for the finishing blow.

The Enigman placed his arms in a plus (+) position, with his right arm horizontal and his left arm vertical, and charged energy into the middle of the formed sign. "ENIG...." Storm said as the energy accumulated, "...BUSTER!!!!" The rushed to the opponent in like a ray of light.

Before being totally destroyed, the enemy glared at Storm. “It is too late the invasion will...proceed!”

“I’ll be waiting.” Storm replied, forcing more energy into the attack and stopped. The overwhelming amounts of energy caused his enemy to explode, sending bits of alien intestines, muscles, blood vessels, and other internal organs to splatter in a 2 mile radius. When the worst was over, Storm looked at the civilians of Ponyville, who were looking at him in awe.

The ponies rejoiced at their new hero, and cheered on as they watched him jump and fly away. When he was too far away to see, they saw him fire a small spark of light which exploded and formed two words.

“Enigman Storm”

From this moment on, when the world is overcome by the shadows of evil and destruction, the light of justice will shine from everyone's hearts, and a Hero will surface. I will surface. the Enigman said to them.

The next day...

"Enig...Buster!" Overdrive yelled. He and his friend, Rumble, were playing the events that happened the day before., with Rumble being the monster.

"Augh!" Rumble laughed a he fell to the ground. The school bell rang and everyone rushed to get inside. Overdrive stopped when he heard someone nearby, but when he looked, no one was there. After a few seconds, he rushed to the classroom.

"I did it..." Rocket said. He was sitting on a tree branch and enjoyed watching his brother's little role-playing. "I saved everyone."

Rocket looked again at the EnigBrace that was now at his right front leg. "If it wasn't for him, I couldn't have done this. Thank you...

"...Enigman."

Rocket Blaze lifted a hammer and pounded a nail into two beams. Repairs for Ponyville have been going on for two weeks now, and he was one of the ponies repairing the main district. He was placing the final nail on the library until he noticed a few war vehicles rolling into the town.

"Hey, dude." Rocket said as he poked the back of another carpenter, "What're those guys doing here?"

"Princess' orders." the other pony replied, "There's a pretty high possibility that there'll be another attack, so soldiers are gonna be patrolling and hanging out here."

"How'd you know that?"

"The news, brick-head. Read the papers sometime."

"All I read is some junk about someone's coronation last week. Who is it, again?"

"TWILIGHT. Twilight Sparkle. She still kinda lives here, though. Either way, we gotta get this library done."

"Alrighty, then..."

Twilight Sparkle strolled down the massive halls of the palace with her friends and Spike behind her. The escort opened a door into the rather majestic throne room where Princess Celestia would be. She and he companions bowed before the princess.

Twilight cleared her throat, but before she can speak, Celestia interrupted.

"Its happening, Twilight." Celestia said.

"B-but Your Majesty," Twilight replied, "i-it can't be!"

"I know...but the milk delivery company kept sending in cheese, so there's no other thing to do other than-"

"Um...Your Majesty? I was talking about the new security measures..."

"You mean the war forces? You need them. I mean, we need them. I have a f-feeling there are...more a-aliens out there just w-waiting to strike..."

"Princess Celestia, are you okay?"

The princess lifted her head from a box of donuts. Her mouth was covered with crumbs and filling while her mane was a total mess. "Who? Me? Okay? YES! Yes, I'm okay! I'm not nervous! Who says I'm nervous?! NOPONY'S NERVOUS!!!"

"Um, you know, Your Majesty, we can just-"

"Uh...oh! Just look at the time! Looks like you...have to go now!'

"But, Princess Celestia-"

"Ta-taaaaaaaaaaaa~!" Princess Celestia nervously sang as she used her power to throw everyone else in the room into the hallway. She locked the door and called for Luna and Discord, who arrived rather early.

"It's happening again, just as he said..." Celestia started, her voice much more serious and grim. Luna gasped in surprise, while Discord rolled his eyes.

"Are you sure?" Discord asked, "This might be just like last year..."

"Discord," Luna said, "you mutated that lobster because you said it didn't taste right. It doesn't count."

"Oh." the embodiment of chaos replied. "So should we...?"

"No." Celestia said, "Its still early. And if that giant is the one..."

Celestia's thoughts were interrupted when the door flew open, showing an exhausted Twilight Sparkle and her companions.

"With all due respect, Princess Celestia..." she started, "I am also a princess...But I do have a plan."

The three gods discussed privately for a moment then Celestia cleared her throat. "We would like to hear it, Twilight."

Twilight smiled. "We would like to form a team, one dedicated to studying and counteracting these monsters. They aren't of our world, so there are a few factors we need to put in mind. Our own military might not be enough, so..."

The next day, in Ponyville...

Rocket Blaze fell hard on the ground. Royal Guards approached the giant robot animals and attempted to move them to Canterlot for reasons they didn't disclose. Rocket Blaze had been told to stay away from Cosmo Beak, and he needed more "convincing". The guards eventually had to call for more pegasi to help them transport the metal titans, but kept them secure for the time being.

One of the Royal Guards, one from Luna's division, approached the rather beat-up Rocket Blaze. "Sir, again, please leave the site. Her Majesty, Princess Celestia has already ordered for the possession of these machines. Now, we;d like you to go back and focus on repairs..."

"Fine, fine..." Rocket said, standing up "It's not like I helped that day..." It took the sheer presence of four heavily armed guards to make Rocket Blaze go away from the robot. Repairs were almost done, anyway, so Rocket Blaze returned to his job where much smaller things needed fixes. He only had a few customers, namely Derpy Whooves for a table that she accidentally destroyed during the ensued battle. After that, it seemed everyone just had to redecorated. Rocket Blaze did it immediately after the fight, so he was just there, bored, and had nothing to do. He looked again at the EnigBrace, the alien artifact that now resides on his front right leg. Something in it told him that there will be more...but he also knew he needed Cosmo Beak. So on he thought...

"I know this sounds crazy, Storm, but I have to do this..." Rocket spoke into the EnigBrace, "I'm gonna...Break...In..."

"And HOW do you suppose to do that?" Storm replied from the EnigBrace.

"Though you claim to be a champion of light..." Rocket said, opening a cabinet with a ninja suit, "We must lurk in the shadows..."

Security in Canterlot Castle seemed to tighten, as well. Guards were practically everywhere; from the gates to the pathways to the actual entrance to the castle. Luckily, though, his ninja suit made sneaking past them easy.Now he was in the castle. After ducking and hiding behind almost every piece of furniture, he now found himself at the first corner of the hall. Now he had to know where they kept Cosmo Beak. He looked around carefully until he caught sight of a guard holding a piece of metal. But Rocket knew it wasn't some ordinary piece of metal, it was some sort of replica...a small replication of Cosmo Beak's weapon! He began following the guard down the halls and corridors and stairs, up until he entered some secret, high-tech facility.

"This is...weird..." Rocket thought. The large room looked like a hangar from a sci-fi movie. He saw scientists on computers, running around and looking at the Cosmo robots. He saw the mane 6 and the rulers of Equestria studying the robots along with the scientists. Rocket crawled to Cosmo Beak, but was suddenly caught by a tractor beam! He looked around him, and saw scientists, guards, the mane 6, and the gods, all looking at him. The tractor beam deactivated, and Rocket dropped to the floor. Rocket stood up and lances and arrows were all pointed at him. Celestia waved her hoof, and all the weapons were withdrawn. Celestia's magic levitated Rocket to her and the other gods.

"We..." Celestia started, "shall discuss somewhere more..."

"...Private." Discord interrupted. With a snap of his claws, they were transported to this empty space where only he and the others existed. Rocket Blaze was placed down, and his mask and ninja suit taken away.

"Who are you?" Luna asked. Her gaze turned to the EnigBrace. The gods all looked at it, the artifact seemed familiar to them.

"I..." Rocket Blaze started, but the EnigBrace glew green and projected a life-sized image of Storm.

"He is Rocket Blaze of Ponyville." Storm said, "I am Enigman Storm of the E-70 Nebula."

"The E-70 Nebula..." Celestia thought, the name was familiar to her, but she couldn't get her hoof on it. "Why are you here, Enigman?"

Rocket watched as Storm explained his mission. He said the same things he told Rocket when they first met, and the three rulers seem to accept it. "So...you're here to...fight these...Galactic Beasts?" Luna said when Storm finished.

Storm nodded. "They have terrorized this system for some time now. I have been assigned to stop them and find the reason of it all.

"I have reason to believe that it involves this specific planet...Equos. Legends of it have reached other galaxies, and even my home cluster. Whatever the Beasts are looking for, it must be rare and powerful..."

"Something rare...something powerful..." Discord spoke in thought, "Perhaps the-"

"Elements of Harmony?" Celestia finished.

"Wait, Elements of Harmony?" Rocket said, "Those crystal things that symbolize some friendship stuff?"

"Yes," Celestia replied, "I'm not sure about it, but from what I've seen about the beasts, they're...not really 'Harmony' material."

"But the issue remains," Luna said, "You have seen the facility, you can't tell anyone else, understand?"

"Yes, Your Highness." Rocket said, bowing down.

Storm bowed as well, and presented some sort of...symbol. Celestia gasped and privately discussed with the other rulers. After some time, they approached Rocket Blaze.

"Luna is correct, you cannot tell everyone about it." Celestia said, "What you saw is the headquarters of the newly created task force aimed at protecting Equestria from these...Kaiju."

"'Kaiju'..." Storm said, his voice sounding rather curious, "...some other worlds call them by that name...but I guess it'll do."

Celestia ignored Storm's comment and nodded at Discord, who deactivated the private realm. The space around them faded and they were once again in the facility. Luna commanded the guards to lower their weapons and basically told everypony that everything's okay. The image of Storm, Rocket observed, disappeared, and no one else seemed to notice it, which made him relieved.

Rocket was given some sort of badge. It was in the shape of some star and had the cutie marks of Celestia, Luna, and what seemed to be a symbol for Discord, all partially covered by the initials "E.S.P.".

"Everypony, this is Rocket Blaze." Celestia said, "Rocket Blaze, Welcome to the Equestria Science Patrol."

Somewhere near the moon of Equos, an invisible flagship faces the planet. Inside, a massive eight-headed monster looked at Equos, its eyes were like those of a starving beast.

A cloaked figure, not as large as the multi-headed creature, entered the massive room and bowed before it. The giant beast snarled.

"You're late..."

"I know, my lord, space travel is rather....hectic this time of the cycle."

"I don't care. Is it ready?"

"Yes, it's on its way...now"

The two beings looked at the great viewing screen and watched as a meteor flew across the stars and into the planet's surface.

"We shall see if they are...ready..."

"Come on! Let me see~" Rainbow Dash said. Rocket Blaze emerged from the facility's restroom. He was wearing a pilot's suit. It was orange and had gray stripes for zippers and pocket holes. Rainbow Dash laughed.

"You...you look SOOOO silly!" she said, laughing some more.

"You're wearing one right now." Rocket replied, his voice sounding unhappy.

"At least I look AWESOME." Rainbow Dash replied, showing off her own suit. Rocket shook his head and headed for the hangar. He beheld a repaired Cosmo Beak and two other robots. Twilight Sparkle approached him from the tiger-like robot where Fluttershy and Apple Jack were sitting in. Pinkie Pie and Rarity were trying out the smaller, ship-like blue-bird robot.

"Hi, how are you?" Twilight asked.

"I'm fine....Your Highness." Rocket replied.

"Come on, let's get you into YOUR ride." Twilight used her magic to move herself and Rocket onto a platform near Cosmo Beak's cockpit. "I'll be in Cosmo Roar...Pinkie, Rarity and Dashie will be in Cosmo Fang."

"Cosmo Fang...Cosmo Roar?" Rocket asked.

"You'll see..." Twilight said, "but can I ask you something?"

"Ask me something?"

"Are you related to the silver giant?!"

Rocket Blaze's eyes widened. "What...makes you think so?"

"I eavesdropped on Princess Celestia and Luna."

"Isn't that bad-manners?"

"Don't change the subject!"

Princess Luna coughed. The two ponies stopped talking and looked at her. "If you girls are done kissing, we've got some monster-killing to do!"

Rocket looked at the screen and saw that a meteor crashed near Canterlot. Some blue glow shined through the cracks on it, and Rocket knew it isn't good.

"Get going, now!"

Rocket jumped into Cosmo Beak and nearly lost her balance. The machine was raised to the launching bay.

"Ready, Rocket?" someone asked.

"Ready!" he replied, "Rocket Blaze, Cosmo Beak, Launching!"

Cosmo Beak flew out of the tunnel at high speed and darted across the city skies. Rocket slowed the machine down and saw that the smaller blue robot and the tiger robot caught up, along with numerous military transport ships. He saw something slimy and blue coming out of the meteor, and it was attacking some military war machines on ground.

"Rocket, can you see that?" Twilight said through the cockpit communication system.

"Yep." he replied, "Am I..?"

"Fire!" Rainbow Dash shouted. Cosmo Fang shot pellets of laser energy at the blue slime. Cosmo Roar and Cosmo Beak proceeded to fire their own weapons. The slime-like being seemed to absorb the lasers and fired it at Cosmo Fang, who dodged it thanks to Rainbow Dash's crammed piloting skills.

"Looks like we're facing a sponge!" Applejack said.

The leader of the troop facing the beast showed up on the communicator. "Looks like we need to be more on the offensive. All units, open fire!"

Lasers, rocks, spears, arrows, and missiles bombarded the being until it was covered in a veil of smoke. They kept firing until the creature unleashed a loud roar...then nothing. The ground unit began to celebrate, but when the smoke cleared out...

"Oh buck." Rocket said. The blue alien absorbed their attacks and also the destroyed machinery, and somewhat morphed into some mechanical monster with some exposed spots of plasma. "Not good at all..."

Celestia appeared on Rocket's communicator. "Do it now!"

Rocket nodded. "Cosmo Beak," he said, "activate Automatic Pilot! Pursue target with aggression!" Rocket Blaze raised the Enigbrace. "EEEENIIIIIIIGMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!"

After a flash of green light, Enigman Storm appeared on the battle ground, facing the mechanical monstrosity. He assumed a fighting stance and the two giants charged at each other.

Episode 3: The Sound of Destruction, Decibelon!

Storm grappled with the lumbering pile of destroyed vehicles and plasma bolts. The being was a bit faster, now having limbs, and more dangerous, considering the "plasma" part of it. Storm attempted to punch the monster, but it retained some of its flexibility, as he discovered when he found himself caught by its slime tentacle. He struggled as it swung him around, slammed him on the ground and nearby mountains, but Storm managed to get loose before it flung him into the sky.

"Alright...no more joking around!" Rocket thought. Storm lunged at the enemy and threw it over his shoulder. Afterwards, he gave the beast a piledriver then lifted it by one of its leg, and swung it round and round, but it retaliated and slammed him down to the ground! Storm struggled to get up, but the monster stepped on him and readied a claw for the finishing strike. However, Cosmo Fang peppered it with laser blasts, distracting the behemoth. It launched a plasma blast at Cosmo Fang, but the machine dodged it and continued to fly around it. The monster tried to it out, eventually stepping off Storm. The Enigman finally stood up and it readied its own finisher.

"ENIGMAN!" Twilight shouted from Cosmo Roar, "Get out of there and cover your ears!". Storm immediately stopped the energy charge and cart-wheeled to the right of his position. The monster noticed that the alien hero was gone, but before it can react, a strong sonic blast resonated through the area, nearly deafening everyone and everything around Cosmo Roar. After a few seconds of the head-splitting sound, Cosmo Roar closed its mouth. But to everyone's surprise, the monster seemed to be taking baby steps towards Cosmo Roar!

"The sound blast didn't seem to have any effect!" Applejack said. Cosmo Fang and Cosmo Beak shot plasma bullets at the monster, but it just reflected them. Storm dashed towards Cosmo Roar, shielding the robot and grabbing the monster by the neck. He stood up, lifting the titan above his head, and charged energy to his hand. The creature tried to struggle, but it was too late...

"ENIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG..." Storm started, his hand glowing green, "....BUSTER!!!"

A ray of light streamed from the alien hero's hand, and the monster glowed green and blue. It attempted to absorb the energy of the Enigbuster, but it proved to be too hard for it to contain. The monster was being inflated with pure light energy until...

BOOM!

Ashes of the absorbed vehicles fell down to the ground. Storm lowered his hand, but knelt down. The crystal on his chest was blinking red.

"Wh-What is this?!" Rocket shouted, his voice only audible to Storm, "I...feel...so....weak..."

"My energies..." Storm said, "...they're lower than usual...as if they can get any lower..."

"What should we do?!" Rocket asked.

Storm leaped into the sky and vanished into the horizon. A small beam of light shot into Cosmo Beak's cockpit. Twilight seemed to be the only one who observe this, and she activated her communicator.

"Rocket Blaze, anything weird?" she asked.

Rocket panted, and nearly collapsed. "Nothin'." he managed to say into the microphone.

"Well then, let's go back to base. I've gathered a sample to analyze." Twilight replied, leading the group and the soldiers to Canterlot. Rocket pushed the controls and made the machine fly over the non-sentient alien slime that covered the battle field.

Rocket looked around the research lab. There were many apparatus and machinery that all looked high-tech, not to mention expensive. Everywhere he looked, scientists were burying their snouts into a screen or peering into a microscope or some eyepiece. He eventually reached Twilight Sparkle, who is analyzing a sample of the alien slime inside a room with more advanced-looking tools and equipment. Around her were her friends, Spike, the princesses, Discord, and other members of the ESP.

"What are you doing with that thing?" Rocket asked.

Twilight answered him a few minutes later, "Fascinating...you should take a look. This slime drop is more intricate than I initially thought..."

She lifted the sample with her magic and sealed it into a container and placed the container into a vault. "It is definitely alien, and it seems to be just a lump of cells unless there's this...central controller or a brain managing them. Everything about the being, its form, abilities, its function, all are just a brain wave away with the right amount of this substance."

A veil of silence dropped in the room. "So what you're saying is, that if there is no controller, that thing is just a lump of uselessness?" Luna said, finally breaking the silence.

"Yes," Twilight replied, "and there's a safe bet that whoever sent that thing is gonna send in a new 'brain' for the slime left, or maybe even more slime..."

"So it is settled then," Celestia said, "We will send some sentries to watch over the slime and the crash site. If anything suspicious happens, we will know and be able to counteract. Twilight, your research has helped us, try helping in the repairs. Rocket Blaze, come with me..."

Celestia led Rocket out of the lab. "What happened out there? Is there something wrong with the Enigman?" she asked.

"Nothing," Rocket replied, "it takes him energy to do that Enigbuster. Apparently, it took a bit more today..."

"I see..." the Princess said, "Listen. I don't think you should tell anyone else about you being the Enigman...Even in the ESP."

"Why?" Rocket asked.

"Just trust me." Celestia replied. Rocket nodded and headed home. The pegasus laid his things on the nearest table and leaped on the bed and slept. "I should take a rest now..." he thought, "Nothing's gonna show, anyway..."

Back to the space ship at Equos' orbit...

"Impressive..."the multi-headed alien creature said,"They are more of a threat than I initially thought..."

"True, my lord..."the cloaked alien said, "These...Equestrians...they are one to be...noted of..."

"Well then...the prototype has served its purpose. Proceed to Phase 2..."

The cloaked alien nodded and summoned a communicator. The screen showed what was a green human-like alien with a navy uniform, a cape, and a hat. This was the ship's captain. "Gogoth!" the cloaked alien said into the microphone, "Release Decibelon!"

Gogoth bowed. He waved his left arm at the crew-members who inputted commands. A small spacecraft in the shape of an orb was sent to the planet. The two aliens laughed maniacally as a small flash of blue light surfaced from the crash site.

It was night.

A small orb-like object crashed into the site and brought life to the slime, reforming into a slime-like slug being. The guards at the site couldn't do anything but watch as the gigantic creature crawled out of the fenced area. Everything they used against it, every defense measure they used, was futile in hindering its pace.

"Nimbus....this...is Watchdog." a guard said, struggling to keep his head to the communicator, "...the...alien...jell-o....has...escaped....back-up...please..."

The monster lifted its head and looked at Canterlot. However, it was enchanted by a bunch of flashy lights and some loud music from someplace near the city. The beast grinned and crawled its way to the source of the sound.

The message reached the ESP headquarters, and all members were called to battle stations. This also meant Rocket Blaze had to wake up and go there. He eventually reached there, and saw that every pony he saw was rushing. He was given his uniform and helmet and he rushed to put it on and get on-board Cosmo Beak. All of the robots were launched, along with fleets of Equestrian war machines.

"What's going on?" Rocket asked Twilight through the communicator.

"It's happened..." she replied, "...the invaders have launched a new brain...and we found the alien."

"Where?!"

"You wouldn't believe me..."

Rocket looked at Cosmo Beak's HUD and his eyebrows rose. The Canterlot Arena, where Vinyl Scratch's concert was that night, had a gigantic blue pupa just sitting in the whole building. Ponies were flooding out of the place, and armed guards had to drag Vinyl away from it. She was trying to salvage some equipment, but the guards kept pulling her away.

"My wubz! Nooooooooooooo!" the DJ cried. The guards finally threw her into an evacuation vehicle along with other ponies. The vehicles moved away from the Arena, just as Cosmo Roar stepped into the parking area. Minutes passed, and eventually...

"It's...Its true form!" Storm shouted into Rocket's mind. From the building, a giant, blue alien with speakers on its body, a trumpet-like snout, and club-like arms emerged from the pupa. It loomed over the robots and the city, and it unleashed a loud series of DubStep noises. Everyone nearby covered their ears, and Cosmo Roar was no exception. The loud noise was enough for the robot's AI to override the pilots' control. Instinctively, it covered its ears. Cosmo Fang and Cosmo Beak were knocked off balance and nearly crashed, but eventually managed to get back into the air. The alien smashed the arena with its foot and roamed the city, blasting sound at the buildings and anything that was in its way. The Cosmo robots' attacks did nothing but just make it shake a little. Cosmo Roar launched another sound blast, and the alien turned around, it glared at Cosmo Roar. The two beings dueled a battle of sounds, but the blue alien was able to knock off Cosmo Roar to a nearby tower. Cosmo Beak and Cosmo Fang fired their own lasers, but the blue alien fired sound blasts at them until they were out of the sky.

"You have to stop it!" Twilight shouted at Rocket, "We'll try to take the citizens to safety!"

Rocket shut off the communicator and raised the Enigbrace.

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENIGGGGGGMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!" After a glow of green light, Enigman Storm stood tall at the road near the blue monster. The two charged at each other and...

"BMGBSDJGBHFGFONKDSGPGEHJFGWTYEGOLEBNTGYIQH;MSDNLJITUUY-]K342K6534670WRTYDJ[ SQ!@!!!!" The blue monster roared at Storm, who nearly knocked out from the sound. The alien went closer, the sound becoming louder with each step, until it was looking down at Storm. The Enigman kept his hands on his ears, but when the monster was close enough, he launched a kick to the creature's groin.The sounds ceased and the alien dropped on its stubby knees. Storm upper-cut the enemy and sent it flat on its back.

The monster went on its feet and tried to launch another attack, but Storm launched miniature waves of light the slice the creature's snout. The creature tried to slam the hero with its claws, but Storm dodged them and taunted it. After a few misses, the alien got so angry, it blasted sound in a 3 mile radius. Storm was disoriented, and he fell onto a street. Stunned ponies were still being bombarded with the monster's sound attack, and it just got louder and louder.

Rocket kept thinking. How do I fight sound? he asked himself. He then remembered Cosmo Beak, and smiled inside. "Storm, I have an idea..."

Storm raised one of his hands, but placed it back on his ear. He tried to do it again, and eventually launched a small beam of light at Cosmo Beak's eye. This light ray contained some sort of light code that triggered Cosmo Beak's laser function. The robotic bird aimed its plasma cannons at the creature's back, and fired at a small box that was near the creature's neck. The box exploded, and the speakers became silent. The monster turned in confusion, and tried to reach its back. The monster's speakers were disabled, and it couldn't repair it.

This was Storm's chance.

Storm gave it a sound beating. He punched it in the guts, twisted its arm, and slammed it to the ground. The alien hero waited for the monster to stand, then kicked its head. The monster grabbed onto two buildings to keep itself up, but it knew that it was all over.

Storm extended his arms and channeled energy in his hands. "ENIG..."

He positioned his arms in a plus sign and triggered his attack."BUSTER!!!"

A stream of golden light beamed from the center of Storm's arm formation. The alien burst into blue dust, and speakers dropped from where it once stood. Seeing that the battle was over, Storm leaped into the horizon, releasing sparkles of energy that restored Canterlot.

Celestia, Luna, and Discord watched the events unfold, their eyes focused on Storm. The silver alien's movements, his tactics, all have been observed by the three rulers.

"He is the one..." Luna said.

"But he is different." Celestia said, "He bonded with one of our people...I think this...Storm...and Rocket Blaze...Those two are the ones he foretold would rise..."

"Let's just see what fate has in store for them." Discord said.

Back at the spaceship

"Another failure..." the giant multi-headed alien snarled at its cloaked ally, "I have a feeling that this the beginning of a series of them..."

"Don't expect too much, my lord..."the cloaked alien replied, "Decibelon...wasn't the strongest black hole in the cluster...but he did prove that this...Enigman...has limits."

"Indeed..." the larger alien replied, "...but what do you suggest we do...

...Doctor Kaizon?"

The smaller alien removed the cloak's hood, revealing a purple reptilian head with a long, thin snout an a large mouth at the end. The alien's pair of large, round eyes blinked with its black eyelids. The rest of the head was in the shape of a banana with black armor-like scales shielding the top.

"It's simple, really..." Kaizon said, "we should give these...Equestrians some...presents..."

Decibelon starts as a slug-like alien slime that absorbs anything that comes into contact with it. It would then morph to use whatever it absorbed, turning them into weapons or armor. This ability, however, can only be done once by a single Control Cell. Naturally, Decibelons are highly attracted to sounds, an trait it uses to sense nearby prey and detect fellow Decibelon. If a Decibelon did not absorb anything in a span of 4 months, it would create a cocoon and develop speaker-like appendages. This signifies an older Decibelon, and the ones with larger speakers and loudest sounds are usually the "alpha" Decibelon.

Episode 4: A Mysterious Ally

"So...this is our new plan..." The multi-headed being said in a disappointed tone. Its eyes were locked on white, humanoid robots Kaizon had brought before it. The robots were of tall stature, had lines all over their shell, had pointed ear-like objects at their sickle-shaped heads. They also had four arms, the upper two arms having guns, the lower two having claws.

"No, my lord..." Kaizon replied, "...this is our new army."

"And where in this cursed cluster did you find these...things?"

"The Planet Cray..." the purple alien replied. The gigantic being he was speaking to suddenly froze. "I struck a fine deal with the...Nova Grapplers. They seemed rather attached to their coliseum...but not enough to maintain possession of these Cray Soldiers..."

"I see 'Cray'..." the large alien replied, studying the robots' lines, "but 'soldier'? Not so much..."

"...yet." Kaizon interrupted, "But first, let me show you my plan..."

One Cray Soldier ran into the room and saluted to the aliens. It spoke to Kaizon in a series of clicks and whirs, and he was startled by the news.

"You..." Kaizon started, "...LOST IT?!" He spat acid at the robot's face plate, melting it, but it reformed. "Don't you know the trouble I got myself into just to get that thing?!"

The giant alien scoffed. "'Cray Soldier' indeed...You should ask for your money back..."

Kaizon walked back and forth for a while, and smiled. "No...this is just going on better than planned..."

The sky was clear that night. Scootaloo and the other Cutie Mark Crusaders have been stargazing for some time now; the telescope they borrowed, a star map, and a stargazing manual were all scattered around them as they just laid down on the grass, staring at the stars in the sky.

"Seen anything?" Scootaloo asked, her impatience finally surfaced.

"Uh..." Apple Bloom said, her eyes still fixed into the binoculars she was using, "...nothin'."

"This sucks!" Scootaloo pounded the ground with her hooves. "We'll NEVER see any aliens at this rate!"

"But, Scootaloo..." Sweetie Belle said, "if we give up now, we won't be able to see if astronomy IS our talent!"

"We already did this last month..." the pegasus replied, "It's not like something's gonna-"

Scootaloo's statement was interrupted by a loud noise. The three fillies ran to where they heard the sound, and saw a long line of wreckage. At the end of it was a large rock, a bit larger than their heads. They approached the rock and saw that it glowed green from the cracks on its surface.

"What should we do?" Sweetie Belle asked.

Apple Bloom and Scootaloo looked at each other, and the latter reached out to the rock. Before her hoof touched it, the meteor collapsed, revealing a glowing, green egg. The egg seemed to hatch into a small green alien with large yellow eyes.

"Oh snap." the three fillies said in unison as they watched the alien study its new surroundings.

"For the last time, Bon Bon, I am not going to fix that thing!" Rocket said. His eyes showed great disgust at the contents of the wooden box his customer brought to him.

"Come on, Rocky...Just this once?" Bon Bon replied in a seducing tone.

"Alright, let's put some things straight here..." Rocket started, "First of all, nopony calls me 'Rocky'. Second...Seriously, Bons, I have a little brother!"

Bon Bon looked at him seductively.

"He's ten, for crying out loud, TEN YEARS OLD!!!" Rocket yelled, "I can't just have this kind of...thing in my house!"

Bon Bon leaned toward Rocket and stroke his wing. "Come on, Rocky~We both know what's really going on~" she told him in an even more seductive tone. Rocket knew what she meant.

Rocket shoved the box to her hooves. "Get out!!!" he said as he shoved her out of the shop. "What is wrong with her?!" he thought.

Rocket Blaze rushed to the ESP Laboratory along with some members of the Attack Squad. When they entered the room, they were startled by the sight of a giant blue bird-like monster. Scientists were testing weapons, throwing what seemed to be useless equipment, and also Applejack using a plasma cannon at it. Fluttershy was being restrained by Twilight and the others, but Rocket shook off the thought when the bird monster shot feathers at him. Rocket and the others took weapons and started fighting it. The monster wrecked the laboratory, but after a few minutes, it suddenly stopped moving and started to shrink. Everyone in the room was surprised to find an exhausted blue bird resting in the place where the giant bird once was. Fluttershy rushed to retrieve it and ran out of the building.

"What....the...hell?" Rocket thought out loud. The stunned pegasus stood there, ignoring Twilight Sparkle, who approached him.

"I told her to bring along her blue jay." she said, "One of the scientists, uh...'Wild Card' I think his name was, developed a formula from the slime sample. It could mutate a being to the size and power of a kaiju..."

"I guess he didn't figure out the 'control' part, eh?" Rocket asked.

"Yeah..." Twilight replied, shaking her head, "...we're working on it, but its not going so well."

Rocket looked at the trashed laboratory. "I can see that..."

"Go to the simulation room," Twilight said, "I'll stay here and help with the clean up."

"Okie..." Rocket said as he strode to the simulation room. On the way there, he felt something bump his leg. He looked to check what it was and found Spike, Twilight's dragon. "Yo, Spike."

"Hey, Rocket." the baby dragon replied.

"How are ya lately?" Rocket asked, "Still trying to win Rarity? She's a toughie..."

"Come on, Rocket...I can totally do it."

"Whoa...it looks like someone means business."

"Just wait and see..." Spike said with a smirk. He saw the Enigbrace and focused on the gem. Spike drooled, a lot, enough for Rocket to know what's going on.

"No." Rocket said.

"What? Come on, why do you even wear that?" Spike asked.

"It's....a cosplay thing..." Rocket replied, "...I played Dungeons and Dragons last night...It was brutal."

Spike looked at Rocket with suspicion and walked to the laboratory. Rocket went on his way to the simulation room, where he saw the crew of Cosmo Fang, namely Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity. "Speak of the devil." Rocket thought to himself.

He watched the three operate a small simulation cockpit, and after a few tries they decided to take a break. Rocket noticed that something was wrong with Rarity.

"Hey, Rarity." he said.

"Oh, hello, Rocket Blaze." she replied.

"You seem down."

"Oh. I didn't do so well at training..."

"No....I know the face of someone who failed at training. You're worried about something."

"Alright....I was supposed to make some dresses, but the gems I needed to complete them are missing!" Rarity wiped her tears with a towel.

"You were robbed?"

"I couldn't find any sign of a break-in, but I couldn't find the gems, either!"

"Interesting..." Rocket rested his chin at his hoof, "...maybe your sister-"

"Oh, she would never!" Rarity replied, slapping Rocket, "How DARE you accuse her of such!"

Rocket rubbed his cheek. "I was going to say that maybe she noticed something you didn't..or know something about it."

"Oh..." Rarity said, blushing in embarrassment, "..I'm sorry. But I asked her and she said she doesn't know anything about it. But she was suspicious, and she looked worried."

"What did you mean 'suspicious'?" Rocket asked.

Rarity thought, "Well...she seemed worried, and always kept her eyes at this basket she brought."

"What was in the basket?"

"I...don't know. But it is covered in a sheet and she wouldn't let me touch it."

"Okay..." Rocket said, "I guess I have a training session to do. Try telling Twilight; she might know what to do."

"Thanks, Rocket Blaze." Rarity replied, walking outside the room.

Applejack woke up. It was late at night, and she swore she heard something...digging. She took the ESP standard-issue laser blaster and went downstairs. It suddenly became awfully quiet, and everything seemed to be still. Applejack walked around the area a little, pointing the gun's pointer at the direction where she heard something move. Suddenly, the digging noise returned, and Applejack slowly followed it. It seemed to come from the safe, where the family's money is hidden. Applejack ran to the safe's location and saw the silhouette of some strange creature. It seemed to be smooth, frog-like limbs, a large head with two, glowing yellow eyes. The safe was cracked open and more than half of the money is gone. Applejack fired three shots at the strange being, but it jumped and dodged all three. She then tried to aim at it, but it moved too fast and eventually broke out of the house through a window. Applejack ran to chase it outside, but her legs seemed to bump into something and she fell down. She stood up again and lit a nearby lamp, the illumination revealing what she collided with: Apple Bloom.

"What are ya doin' at a time like this?!" Applejack yelled, "It's nearly midnight!"

"I..." Apple Bloom's yes shot from left to right, "...was going to get a drink of water...Then I heard somethin', then....this."

Applejack zipped past Apple Bloom and ran outside and looked around. She only saw a pair of footprints some few feet from the broken window, and apart from that, nothing. Apple Bloom ran to her side and seemed worried.

"Is it gone...?" Apple Bloom asked.

Applejack looked around and sighed. "It's gone....But it's still out there...WHATEVER it is..."

"Could we go looking for it?" Apple Bloom said, sounding more worried.

"No..." Applejack replied, "...not now, and not you. Go to bed, I'll follow..."

Apple Bloom turned, but then something suddenly dropped in front of her. She looked up and saw a strange being with four arms and a long head. She and her sister looked all around them and saw that half a dozen more of these things arrived.

"GET OUTTA HERE!!!" Applejack roared as she fired at the beings with her gun. Apple Bloom ran away and hid behind a wheelbarrow. The beings seemed to regenerate after receiving a shot. Applejack managed to dodge their shots, and tried throwing anything she can at them, but they simply whacked them away with their claws. They seemed to run out of ammunition, but their guns seemed to morph into claws. They surrounded Applejack, readying their claws and modifying some of their limbs into melee weapons. But as one of the beings extended its arm for the first strike, a laser beam shot through the air and the claw disintegrated. The alien morphed whatever was left into a simple three-fingered hand.

The beings looked at the direction from where the shot was fired and saw that one of their allies was shot in the core. The dead being dropped to its knees and fell face-flat on the ground, revealing a cloaked pony and Apple Bloom hiding behind this figure. This is where Applejack realized something about these beings: They were machines!

The mystery pony shot at three of the robots, all losing a limb. Applejack kicked two of them, and rammed down the rest. Four of the robots charged at them, but Applejack and the pony fired shots at them, leaving only two of them. These two looked at each other, morphed their arms into legs, and fled. The mystery pony watched them leave, hid its gun in its cloak, and walked to the gate.

"Hey!" Applejack shouted, the cloaked figure turned its head. "Thank you!" she told it. The figure looked forward and continued walking.

"Hmm...weird." Apple Bloom said.

"Well, that pony helped. It's apt that I should thank him, right?" Applejack replied, putting her laser gun into its holster.

"I guess..." Apple Bloom yawned and rubbed her eyes.

"You should go to sleep now."

"Okay, g'night."

"'Night." Applejack said, embracing Apple Bloom. Apple Bloom smiled and walked home. As her little sister walked to her room, Applejack watched her suspiciously. Why was she really up this late? Why did she seem so eager to find this creature? What is she worried about? Applejack thought carefully about this, on her way to her room. She looked outside the window, thinking of the creature, and proceeded to sleep.

"An attack at your house? Alien robots? A mysterious ally?!" Rainbow Dash asked. She, Applejack, Rocket Blaze, and Pinkie Pie were talking outside the research laboratory, where Twilight was studying the robots along with other scientists. "Sounds like something in a sci-fi drama!"

"You try experiencing that!" Applejack replied, "Those...creeps scared the soul out of me!"

"But who is this "mystery pony"?! Pinkie Pie asked, jumping more and more, "WHATDOESHELOOKLIKE?!HOWLONGISHISMANE?!ISTHIS"MYSTERYPONY"EVENASTALLION?!TELLME!TELLME!TELLME!!!"

"Whoah...Pinkie..." Rocket said, "Easy there...I guess you drank too much coffee this morning, eh?"

"She doesn't drink coffee..." Applejack said with a smirk.

"Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?" Rocket asked, his jaw dropped. Pinkie Pie locked it back into place, then pranced into the laboratory.

Twilight asked Rocket and Applejack to come inside. They saw glass cylindrical tubes where the robots were suspended in liquid and wires placed into them. Twilight led them to one specific tube with a whole robot. "We have analyzed these machines and found out something startling..." she said. She pointed at the hole in the robot's chest. To everyone's surprise, the hole seemed to be getting smaller very slowly. "These machines seem capable of regeneration, and, we assume, take on a liquid form...which is why we placed cooling agents into these tubes as long as we can study these robots. Also..."

A few scientists brought to Twilight a laser blaster. The weapon, Applejack noticed, looked like that of the aliens. "We have also noted the robots' transforming ability, specifically in their weapons. We have been able to duplicate this material, and..." Twilight fired the gun at a target board. Nothing was left of it. "...it has proven to be quite effective for its size. We are now trying to make it smaller and more portable for us.

"Anyway, Wild Card has improved his serum, and it now lasts only for three minutes, but the control issue remains..." Twilight was going to say more when the alarm rang. They ran to the main room, where a large monitor showed a bird's eye view on the school house.

"ALERT ALERT" the speakers rang, "KAIJU ACTIVITY DETECTED. CONTAINMENT UNITS, PROCEED TO PONYVILLE SCHOOLYARD, IMMEDIATELY..."

"The schoolyard?!" Rocket thought, "Oh no....Overdrive!"

Cheerilee shielded as much students as she could from the debris. Several minutes ago, a green frog-like monster with crystals and coins sticking out of its body showed up and started trashing the place with its claws and....its tongue. The walls have holes from the creature's battering, and the monster wouldn't back down.

"Stay behind me, class." Cheerilee said in an assuring voice, "Hopefully it'll end soon..."

The monster broke the door down and leaped inside. The fillies screamed as it pounced at them, only for the monster to be shot in the head. It crashed through the wall and rolled on t he ground. The ponies turned and saw a cloaked pony pointing a gun at the direction of the beast.

"Get out of here!" the figure said.It had a feminine voice.

Cheerilee led the class outside and saw a great mechanical bird lower from the sky. When it landed, a pegasus in an orange suit and a gray helmet leaped out of the machine's head and ran towards them. "Is everypony alright?" he asked.

"Yeah..." Cheerilee replied, stretching the truth a little.

Overdrive looked up. The pegasus's voice was familiar. "Rocket?" he asked.

The pegasus looked down and removed his helmet. It was Rocket. "Overdrive?!" Rocket hugged the colt, "Oh my gosh! It is a good thing that you're safe!"

Rocket looked back and saw a cloaked pony fighting the monster, "Alright...make that almost safe. Get to the evacuation vehicles that are rolling with the battle machines; they should be here right..."

A flaming boulder arced through the air and smacked the ground near the green monster. Four battle machines rolled near the school yard, where two similar vehicles without the weapons dashed to the schoolyard. The fillies and colts rolled into the vehicles with Cheerilee while Rocket provided cover fire. The monster charged at Rocket, who fired ten shots at it, causing it to drop. The beast shook its head and shot its tongue at three fillies: Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle.

"Oh no!" Overdrive said. The monster held them in its tongue and leaped towards Ponyville. "You've gotta save them!" he told Rocket.

"Get the civilians out of here," Rocket told the drivers, "I'll take down frogger!" He stopped Overdrive for a while, "I will do my best, bro. Stay safe."

Rocket was going to Cosmo Beak when he saw the cloaked pony leap inside and tried to pilot it. Cosmo Beak acted wildly, trying to shake the intruder out of its cockpit. Rocket flew inside and took over the controls. Rocket inputted Ponyville's coordinates into Cosmo Beak, and the machine flew there on auto-pilot. Rocket and the cloaked pony wrestled each other, and Rocket knocked the pony to the wall.

"Wh-Who are you?!" Rocket asked, but the stranger did not reply. The two ponies just looked at each other for a few awkward minutes, then Cosmo Beak shook. Rocket looked at the HUD and saw a much larger green creature with larger crystal spikes of all colors and a much monstrous appearance. The creature's claws are much larger and more pointed, the creature developed sharp, pointed crystal fangs and pointed, yellow eyes. At the giant spike at the center of its back, Rocket could see three small shapes that could only be the three fillies. Apart from that, most of the town below it was totally wrecked.

"How are we going to stop this titan?" the mystery pony asked.

"A mare?!" Rocket thought when he heard the stranger talk. He lowered Cosmo Beak and opened the cockpit. "Get down, and get yourself to safety, I'll take this big guy down..." Cosmo Beak soared up and dodged the creature's claws. Rocket set it to auto-pilot and brought out the Enigbrace.

"ENIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!"

A green glow shone from Cosmo Beak, and something shot from the cockpit. A split-second later, Enigman Storm appeared.

In the space ship...

"You took an infant Jewelmine?!" the giant, multi-headed alien roared.

"My lord..." Kazon replied, "It is better than taking a mature one. Infants are ...hungrier, and destructive in their hungered state. Now that he has took more than enough for his age, he has forcefully matured...and the results are rather devastating..."

"Let me correct myself. You pestered with a Jewelmine egg..."

"But look at him," Kaizon said, "He is no longer an inferior Jewelmine saboteur. He is Gemocide, the Treacherous Destroyer!!!"

"Storm!" The Enigman turned and saw that the sound came from Cosmo Fang. It was Rarity's voice. "You've got to save my sister!" Storm nodded and leaped at the monster's back. He tried to break the crystal bonds at the fillies, but Gemocide shook him off and slashed him with its claws.

"This guy is tough..." Rocket thought. Storm tried launching small slashes of light at Gemocide, but its crystals just reflected them back at him. He tried punching it, but its body is too hard, enough for Storm to clutch his fist in pain. The Monster wrapped the Enigman with its tongue and threw him around like a rag-doll, then it bit his arm, and held him by its hands and feet and stretched him. Storm was obviously in pain, and he couldn't fight back.

Spike watched this all from the live view screen. He saw that the three hostages were also suffering, and the alien hero was practically powerless. The Cosmo Robots' weapons were nothing against the creature, and Cosmo Fang seemed to be holding back.

"There's gotta be something I can do..." he thought to himself, "I've got to save them..."

Then Spike hatched an idea. He ran to the laboratory and ran to a lab-gowned unicorn stallion with wild hair and slightly bent glasses. The unicorn was playing around with a spinning top, but was startled when he saw a purple claw grabbed a test tube.

"Hey!" he said, "Don't use that! It's not yet perfect!"

Spike turned and a determined look was on his face, "This is out only hope to help them, Wild Card!"

"For the last time...MY NAME IS NOT WILD CARD!!!"

Spike hopped onto a small transport vehicle and sped to Ponyville. When he was within the area near the monster, he popped off the test tube's cover. Twilight Sparkle saw this on Cosmo Roar's HUD.

"Spike, don't!" she shouted from Cosmo Roar, but Spike did not heed her. He drank all of the test tube's contents, and threw it aside. He grew in size, in muscular mass, in strength, and monstrous looks. Soon, he looked like a purple Godzilla with small green wings and his green fins.

Gemocide lowered the weakened Storm and charged at Spike. Spike didn't cower away, and neither did he try to block with his claws. Twilight knew that Spike wasn't there.

"Idiot..." she thought out loud, "...hopefully that'll only last for a few minutes..."

Spike grabbed Gemocide's claws and head-butted him and he breathed fire at him. Gemocide covered his face in pain and launched his tongue at Spike. The tongue stiffened into a crystal club and whacked Spike to a nearby building. The purple Godzilla ripped out the building, which, luckily, has no ponies inside, and tossed it at Gemocide, who used his claws to rip it apart. Spike charged at Gemocide and slammed him with his claws, and ripped out the monster's tongue.

Storm managed to stand up and leaped at Gemocide's back. He tapped the crystals with his fingers, and eventually he was able to break the fillies free. However, Spike fired a stream of flames at Gemocide, and the monster turned its back. Storm shielded the fillies from the fire, but Spike seemed to start attacking him. Storm kicked away the Tokyo terror rip-off and handed the fillies to Cosmo Fang. A ramp appeared from the machine's bottom side and the fillies ran to Rarity, who used her magic to keep them from falling. Seeing that the hostages are now safe, Storm proceeded to fight.

Gemocide impaled Spike's right foot with a crystal, and the purple dragon retaliated by swinging its claw at him. As Gemocide retreated, Storm kicked the monster at the jaw, and Gemocide fell down on its back. Spiked jumped onto the monster's chest and slammed the torso as much as he could. Gemocide knocked off Spike, then Storm punched the creature's chest really hard, cracking the crystalline armor. Gemocide whacked its two enemies with its tail. Storm crashed to a building, and Spike fell onto the ground. Storm's crystal started blinking red, and he decided to finish it.

The two stood up and both charged at Gemocide. Spike gathered fire in his mouth, and Storm prepared his finisher.

"ENIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG...BUSTER!" Storm shot a stream of light at Gemocide while Spike launched a gigantic stream of fire at the monster. Gemocide exploded, and lots of gems, coins, and other shiny possessions and valuables fell onto the ground. Storm leaped into the sky while 'Spikezilla' fell to its knees and shrunk to his normal size.

A few minutes later...

Rocket watched as Twilight placed Spike onto a stretcher. ESP Medics hauled the dragon to a mobile laboratory/hospital to analyze him. Meanwhile, Princess Celestia and Luna and the rest of the mane 6 looked at a green egg that fell from Gemocide. Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, and Apple Bloom had their heads lowered in shame as Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack scolded them about what they did.

"You should have told us about this!" Rainbow Dash shouted.

"But we wanted to see if it was our special talent.." Sweetie Belle replied.

"What do you mean?! Keeping a secret from us?! 'Raising' a dangerous alien creature?! Threatening everypony's lives?!" Rarity roared, "DON'T YOU KNOW HOW MANY BANKS, JEWELRY STORES, PAWN SHOPS, AND BOUTIQUES WERE ROBBED BY THAT THING?!"

"Hey! Settle down, partner!" Applejack said, pulling down the unicorn.

Celestia lifted the egg with her magic and called the nearby ponies to her. "Well, it looks like this monster lays an egg whenever it dies, probably as a reproduction mechanism to assure the survival of its species."

"So what do we do with it?" Rocket asked.

The group became silent for a few minutes until Celestia came to a solution. "We will keep the egg."

"But Your Majesty," Twilight started, "You have seen what that thing is capable of? Are You sure about this?"

"Its mind seemed poisoned by hate and fury," Celestia said, levitating the egg. Luna opened a portal to some strange location and Celestia placed the egg inside. The Princess of the Moon closed the gate and sighed.

"We will raise it in there, a realm where time does not exist," Celestia continued, "Hopefully, it will be more of a help to us when it matures."

"So...Jewelmine will not be...evil?" Scootaloo asked.

"Yes," Luna replied, "hopefully."

The group went to headquarters and eventually, the Cutie Mark Crusaders were employed into the ESP...at desk work. Spike finally went out of the laboratory with a cast on his foot and some crutches. A scientist approached Rocket Blaze and Twilight Sparkle, who were chatting about how chaotic the office could be with the Crusaders in it.

"Well, we've ran some tests..." the scientist began, "...and the results are startling."

"What is it?" Twilight asked.

The scientist sighed. "I...am 78% positive of Minecraft Addiction." He brought out a bow and arrow and a block of dirt and threw it to the trash can. "WHAT AM I DOING WITH MY LIFE?!" he added with a sob.

"Um...not that..." Twilight said.

"Oh, right," the scientist said, "about the dragon...apart from the fact that he drank an early prototype of the Monster Serum and broke his foot, the serum seems to be out of his system now, but a big side-effect would be-"

Spike sneezed so loud and hard that flames went out of his nostrils.

"...that." the scientist continued, "Also, another side-effect would be frequent-"

Spike farted flames and burned the handlebars near him.

"-flatulation..." the scientist said, covering his nose with his clipboard. Rocket and Twilight covered their noses with their wings.

"Sorry." Spike said.

"Apart from that, there aren't any major side-effects. Those should wear off in a few days." the scientist said before he went back into the laboratory.

"They say I'll be like this for two days..." Spike said before he sneezed, "What am I going to do?"

"I don't know," Rocket started, "wear a blanket around you? Sip hot cocoa every five seconds? Watch TV dramas all afternoon?"

Spike frowned and farted. The flames melted some of the supports for the rails, which fell on a scientist's head. "Ha...ha..." he said in a sarcastic voice.

"How about some soup?" Twilight offered.

"Sure." Spike smiled. He wiped his nose with his napkin.

"Looks like you guys have a good plan for the night." Rocket said, "I'm heading home, where a very old jukebox is waiting for a good tune up."

Rocket layed down on his bed. He was thinking about a lot of things. Who is this mystery mare? Who sent this "Jewelmine"? Why are the monsters attacking Equos? And where did these Cosmo robots come from?

"Those are good questions..." Storm telepathically told Rocket, "But some answers are better left in the unknown..."
