(SiC) Part 4 - A Rarity Of A Situation
Chapter 3: Don't Follow in my Hoof Steps
Previous Chapter Next ChapterRarity woke up the next day and sat at her kitchen table eating some breakfast. Her eyes looked bloodshot because she didn't exactly get the best sleep last night. Rarity continued to munch on breakfast until she heard a loud knock at the door. Rarity grumbled some words of disapproval and walked over to the door. When she opened it, she was shocked to see Derpy Hooves with a long box next to her.
"I've got a special delivery for a Miss Rarity here," Derpy said.
Rarity stared at the box with confusion for awhile until it suddenly hit her. This must have been that special pole that they promised to deliver to her. "Oh thank you, Derpy. Do I need to sign anything?"
Derpy nodded her head yes and said, "I just need your signature on the dotted line." Derpy bent down and picked up a clip board with her mouth.
Rarity used her magic to levitate the pen and signed the sheet of paper.
Derpy put the clip board down and looked at the box one more time to make sure that she in fact delivered this to the right place. There were quite a few instances when Derpy Hooves had delivered the wrong package to another place by mistake. When she saw where this box was coming from, she frowned and gave Rarity a rather dirty look. Normally, Derpy would cheerfully say good bye, but this time she turned her back to Rarity and took off to the skies.
Rarity dragged the box inside and took it inside her bed room. She opened it up and began to set the pole in place. Surprisingly, it didn't take her long to assemble. She swung around it a few times to make sure that it was sturdy. Rarity pondered whether or not she should go back and finish her breakfast, but she wasn't too hungry at the moment, and she wanted to practice a few moves before she went back to the club tonight. The faster she could get everything down, the faster she could earn all that money. Rarity placed the cassette tape inside the cassette player and opened the book. She let out and "Ugh!" in disgrace when she saw the example pictures. Rarity used her magic to push play, and the music kicked in. Rarity knew that Sweetie Belle was in school now, so there would be no way that her innocent little sister would catch her in the act. The music was loud and Rarity began to swing on the pole.
A few moments later, Sweetie Belle entered the room and was holding a poster in her mouth. Sweetie Belle dropped the poster to the floor and gasped.
Rarity took notice that she entered the room and paused while she was doing her swing. Her back legs were spread open as she slid down to the base of the pole and then crossed them. Rarity began to stutter. "W-w-what are you doing home from school!?"
Sweetie Belle brought over a poster and placed it next to Rarity. She looked up at her big sister and said, "It was a half day today. I made this poster for you in art class."
Rarity used her magic to turn off the music. There were literally sounds of mares moaning in the background of the song. It was like pornographic music and some of the other songs had some blasphemous lyrics. Rarity looked down at the poster and saw that it was a collage of pictures of her and Sweetie Belle together. Some tears welled up in Rarity's eyes. It wasn't so much because of how meaningful the poster was, but more because Sweetie Belle had caught her doing a very slutty dance on the pole. "It's absolutely gorgeous, Sweetie Belle! Thank you so much for making me such a wonderful poster!" Rarity got up and took the picture. She took it over to her wall and brought out some hoof tacks to pin it to the wall. Rarity hung it up and then turned back to Sweetie Belle. She was horrified that she found her little sister swinging around the pole, much like she was doing earlier. "Sweetie Belle, stop that this instant! That is not something a young filly should be doing!"
"Awwww come on Rarity, it looks like you were having so much fun. Can you please teach me how to do this?" her little sister asked.
Rarity looked even more upset than before. "Absolutely not young lady! That is not appropriate for a filly of your age to do!"
"Well, if it's so bad for me to do, then why can my big sister, who is such a good role model for me, and is my biggest hero, do it? I want to be just like you, Rarity!"
Rarity put her hoof to her heart in shock. She had no words right now and couldn't even begin to think of an excuse to tell her little sister. Her actions were corrupting her little sister right before her very own eyes. "Sweetie Belle, I....I...I can't explain this right now. I need you to leave, honey. Don't follow in my hoof steps right now. Please stay pure, sweetheart."
"What do you mean by that, Rarity? You're the best big sister I could possibly ask for!" Sweetie Belle said as she came over to hug her big sister.
Rarity turned away from her and put her front hoof in the air as if to stop her from getting any closer. Tears fell from her eyes as she said, "Sweetie Belle, I need to be alone right now. I greatly appreciate your gift of the art work you made me, but I must be alone now. Please find your friends and go play with them outside."
Sweetie Belle was about to protest at her sisters wish, but she knew that it would only get her into more trouble. Sweetie Belle sighed and walked out of her sisters room. "I guess I can go hang out with Apple Bloom today and see how she's doing," she said before she left.
Rarity picked up a jewelry box and flung it across the room in rage. It hit the mirror and the mirror cracked. She then felt the sorrow in her heart and put her head in between her two front hooves and sobbed heavily at the pony that she was becoming.
