Chapter one

The forest was alive, it seem to move on it’s own will. And to a mare with no memory of why she was there or who she was, the wind blowing through the trees was kind of scary. Scary enough to make even an grown pony shaking in their hooves. Not even Luna’s moon was seen through the cloud cover of this unknown forest. This was not the time or a place for a mare of any age to be. The forest had gone through many names over the years, but for right now it was known as, The Everfree Forest. Not even the ponies of the local town of Ponyville enter the forest at this time, or any time for the matter of fact.

Her eyes slowly open to the world around her and she was not greeted by the most welcoming thing in the world, it was not the best first thing for her new memories. Before her eyes was a wolf like creature made out of wood. A name came to her head for what it would be called, it was a Timber Wolf. The poor mare didn’t have time to think of why she knew this, just that she needed to run away and fast.

She let out a scream as she try to climb to her hooves as she could, stumbling back down as she moved toward what looked like a small cover or something. Her legs moved as fast as they could. Things happen fast, she dove into the small hole, barely fitting as the Timber wolf crash into the side of the hillside. Her heart was racing very fast, lungs gasping for air. Fear is a strong emotion to deal with, it’s harder to deal with when you never dealt with something like it before.

Even after the Timber wolf left, her body was still shaking. Feeling sleep even after all that had happen. Luck was on her side, sleep did come but never lasted long, the Timber Wolves howling keep waking her. After a while, the Timber Wolves stopped howling. This allowed the poor mare some sound sleep that she really needed. They say that dreams can sometimes show you old memories and on rare moments, the inner workings of your own mind.

The lands around her was covered in flames, ponies screams filled the air. In front of her lay a few dead ponies. She felt joy at knowing that she was the one to end their lives. Power flowing through her was so intoxicating. She could do anything she could think of, her wings flared out and her horn glowed. Nothing in this world could stop her, but herself. A pain in the back of her head grew stronger and stronger.

She jump up and gasping for air, the dream had been so real. Like it really happen and that kind of scared her. To see if anything of her dream was true, she turns to see if she had wings. She fall back down on her flank, eyes wide in horror. On her back was a set of white wings. One of her forehooves want to her head to feel for a horn, the hoof stop just as she felt that there was nothing there. That was a relief, maybe that horrid nightmare wasn’t as real as it seemed.

There was a little sunlight coming into the mouth of the cave. Tiny little shadows dance as the branches of trees moved in the breeze. Her ears scanned for any more Timber Wolves that might be in the area. She listen for a few minutes and deemed it safe enough to at least poke her head out to have a look around. The sun was shining brightly through the knolls of trees and leafs. What rays that made it to the ground and touched her, felt so warm and safe. Things seem safe, she figured that there was no better time than now to get out of this crazy, scary forest.

The forest wasn’t really that scary as it was at night, but still scary enough to send shivers down your back as you walked. Luck was on her side now, during her little walk to find a way out of there, she found a old looking path. “This better than walking around in circles.” Her voice was soft as silk. The path seem to flow this way and that, never really seeming to go in a straight line. It felt like walking down the path would never end, but again fate give her another lucky break. The sun was much brighter than she thought it would be, moving one of her forehooves to shield her eyes till she was use to the light.

The breeze felt so good blowing through her mane. The grass was dancing to the wind and her ears could hear the water, not a creek running sound, but waves in a lake hitting against the banks. A chance to see what she really look was nearby, her legs were running as fast as they could. Without thinking about it, her wings began to work causing her to pick up more and more speed. A problem came up as the lake came into view, how can she stop? The lake give her an answer she didn’t really care for. At the speed she had reach, the slash was one that even Rainbow Dash would think was cool.

She never really want to go into the water, but it did make for a better way to stop then hitting face first into the ground. Her head breach the surface of the water, waiting for a bit for the ripples to die down. Once that happen, there was a white mare with sunflower yellow mane and sky blue eyes looking back up at her. She fall back laughing and splashing around the water. “So that is what look like.” She called out as loud as she could in between her laughs.

After her little fun in the lake, found a nice place to lay on the nearby to let the sun dry her off. Now knowing what she looked like, she needed a name. That was going to be hard, not knowing any names of anypony else. Finding a name can wait for another time, but for now a nap was calling her. Between all that walking and that little swim, it all had taken it out of her, the warm sun was just making things so much better.

Walls shown that a battle had happen her. Some parts of the walls had burn marks in the shape of ponies. She was sitting on what look like a thrown of some royal making. There was still fresh blood dripping off parts of it that belong to pony that use to sit here. She slowly rise a hoof and grins at it with a sick grin. There was blood covering and dripping off her off, slowly licking the blood before it could drip. Looking up from her hoof, there stood a pony barely standing. Part of his face was covered in a blood sock bandage. “Lady Fallen Sun, we have surrender to you. Why do you keep the attack up?”

She look down at him and give a chuck that would send a fully grown dragon running for the hills. “Now why would I do anything of the sort. If I let one ant live, that one ant will go find others and try to take what belongs to me.” Fallen Sun takes another lick of the blood on her hoof. “This land will be mine as I move closer to taking back what belongs to me.” Her voice was colder than ice. The stallion standing before her slowly back away.

Fallen Sun’s horn lit up and before the stallion could run away, his legs were chain to the floor. The chains was coming from the floor, like part of the floor was change to the offending chain. The four chains move to the two walls on either side of him and being to pull on him. He howls in pain as he was being quartered. Fallen smiled as she got up to have a better view of the stallion, his screams never seem to die down as their was popping sound of his legs were pulled out of their sockets. It wasn’t long before the flash between his body and limbs being to slowly tear apart, his cries of pain only grew louder.

She began to laugh as his limbs were torn from his body. His body made a wet slapping sound as it fall back to the ground in a pool of his blood. “I so enjoy watching limbs falling off like that, but I’m growing bored with all this.” With that, there was an explosion where the stallion was.

She bounded up and looked around her, heart racing and a cold sweat damping her fur coat. Was that really her? She dug into the hunting dream and remember the reflection in the stallion’s eyes and what she seen was her. She moved back to the lake and stared down at her reflection. It was softer than what was in the dream and she didn’t have a horn. The past two dreams scared her much more than that Timber Wolf. If that truly was her in the dreams, then she was something worse then a monster.

A shudder ran down her back as she remember the feelings that was going on in the dream. The mare was enjoy watching that poor stallion getting his limbs ripped off and that when he wasn’t screaming loud enough, that she got bored with him. There was only one good thing that came out of the dream, she had name to go by.

Fallen Sun was brought back to the world around her by the sound of her belly growling of hunger. She let out a sigh and got up. “Even if that wasn’t me, at least I have some kind of name to use. Tho I might lose the Fallen part for now.” The breeze came back and felt good on her sun warmed body. Looking around she could see the path that she was on before, figuring that just keep following that would take her somewhere that would have food.

She had been on the path for about an hour before it lead her right to what seem to be a nice little town. Upon seeing the town, a pain in the back of her head being to hurt as a name came to mind. Fallen Sun made it to Ponyville, she still didn’t understand how she knew anything she knew, but the fact that there would be food made her gallop as fast as she could into town to find something to eat.
