“Sister...?”

Celestia looked up. “Yes, Luna?”

“What hath transpired during our absence? From where did this nephew of ours emerge?”

“Blueblood?” Celestia let a wry smile play around her lips. “One of many mistakes I’m afraid.”

“Surely thou didn’t!?” Shock warred with disgust in Luna’s voice

Celestia blinked before bursting out laughing. “Nothing as crude as that, dear sister. He is one of the descendants of a couple I adopted into the family some three hundred years ago.”

Luna nodded curtly. “Well, we feel that is it due time to prune the family tree and shall see it done post-haste.”
