Preparing a five course meal was a tough task, especially for somepony whose knowledge was more theoretical than practical; and didn’t have any experience in the kitchen whatsoever. No matter how much trouble it was going to be however, it was something she wanted to do.

Armed with a cookbook as a quick reference guide, and an entire day before he came back from Canterlot, she promised herself that he would have a meal that showed how much she cared.

Showing him how much she appreciated his help would take more than a simple dinner, but it was a start.
