Living by herself meant she was free to do whatever she pleased. She could sleep when she wanted, and wake up when she felt like it.

It also meant that she never had anypony to comfort her when she cried and she never knew if she’d have something to eat

The choice had been simple when Fluttershy offered her an end to the loneliness. She had jumped at the chance. She never would have thought that she would get six guardians rather than just the one, however. In her mind it just meant being less alone, which was just fine.
