Chapter 3 part two

                                                                        Chapter 3 part two

After I had gone through the wormhole, I was in a wasteland, and it was nearly sunset. I could see no trees, no grass, Nothing. It was just a great nothingness that seemed empty, but I was wrong. When I tried to focus on something in the distance, my visor acted as binoculars and zoomed in for me.

“Thanks” I said blankly.

I focused on a little house that seemed sturdy. I started out on a trot, then a gallop. I had galloped for a few seconds and I was there at the house. It was dark, and seemed empty. Then I took a look inside. It was pitch black, then a little light appeared on my helmet and acted as a flashlight. I stepped in and looked around even more. There were chairs, couches, and a seemingly small table in the middle of the room I was in. I looked to the “North-east” and saw a little stair-case. I trotted up to it, and put one hoof on it. It was surprisingly sturdy after I don’t know how many years, but I could tell this was the distant future. Princess Luna said the apocalypse was imminent. I trotted up the stairs to find an empty room and a window leading to behind the house. I trotted up towards the window and looked out. Out of it I could see a few armed ponies with odd armor. They had no helmets and were holding pistols and rifles. “Civil Security Lites, inactive enemies” the indicator said. If these were enemies then I would have no trouble mowing them down with my C-01r. For there were only four. I said “two” and my rifle popped out. Darnit!! The doctor never told me how to fire this thing. So I said “fire”, it did nothing.

“Shoot” I said. It still did nothing.

Then I said “Open Fire”, it did exactly as it was told. Only it fired just over the heads of the Civil Security Lites. This alerted them and I heard one say “enemy!”. Oh Celestia. I saw them grab their helmets and they took cover behind some rocks. I zoomed in on one of the rocks they took cover behind and said “Open Fire”. The shot was surprisingly accurate. Then I said “Open Fire hold”, this order made the rifle fire without stopping. Until I said “Hold Fire” then I stopped immediately. I said “Open Fire hold” again, this time zooming on a civil security lite’s head. He was out of cover, so he just fell over from the headshot I had given him.

“Hold Fire” I said. The rifle stopped and then a little indicator popped up on my visor.

“If you say “OFH” then it will use less time with ordering. If you say “HF”, then it will do the same. It is just a more efficient way of giving out orders to your guns” It said.

I zoomed on a rock and said “OFH”, it opened fire on it and chipped pieces of rock away when the shots hit. Eventually, the civil security had to find a new place to hide. When they did, they weren’t fast enough, and I mowed them down with my rifle. Then I looked for the other two. I felt a sharp pain on my chest, and saw my health meter go down to “489”. I had been shot, and survived. But I decided to take cover, for if I got shot again my health would go down more. I popped my head up for a second to see where that shot came from. I couldn’t see the civil security soldiers anywhere, then an indicator popped up on my visor.

“An even more efficient way of firing is to gently bite down on this mouth piece, you would have to take your helmet off first” it said.

I got back under cover and took off my helmet. Then a little dispenser popped out of my armor’s hoof, in it was a mouth piece connected to some wire. I put it my mouth and gently bit on it. My rifle fired until I stopped biting.

“Awesome” I said in a quiet voice.

I put my helmet back on and continued to look for the Civil Security. After a few more minutes, I got out of cover and explored the room a bit more. I wasn’t in view of the window, so I was safe from any civil security soldiers. I turned around and saw a carcass, it seemed a few days old. But it wasn’t civil security, it was something different. Another indicator popped up and said this.

“Usurpation soldier, Dead enemy”

It was alien, a pony like alien. I looked to the side and saw azure blood. It had been shot, assuming it was civil security. I decided to trot back downstairs, but civil security was coming UP the stairs.

“zero” I said blankly.

My blades popped out and my rifle folded up. I trotted to the wall and hugged it. When the civil security got up to the room I was in, I stabbed one and he fell back on his “buddy”. he was still alive and looked at me through his slightly transparent visor with murder in his eyes. He charged at me and tried to slice me with his own blades, missing each time he sliced. After one more dodge, I counter-sliced him. It was an upward slice and sent him into the air doing back flips. His “buddy” ducked as the body came at him. His “buddy” charged at me now as his friend was falling down the stairs.

“You son of a bi-” he said before I stabbed him through the chest.

“What was that? I couldn’t here you!” I said before pulling upward, slicing his body nearly in half. I looked down at him and an indicator popped up.

“Civil Security, Dead enemy” it said.

I trotted over his mutilated body heading down stairs. As I trotted down stairs, I saw a photo I hadn’t seen before. It was a picture of a brown stallion with an even darker brown mane. “Doctor Whooves” it said. I nearly cried for a second, Doctor Whooves was my best friend when I first arrived in ponyville. He was the nicest to me too, I bowed my head and gave him some prayers. After I was done, I trotted down the stairs some more. After I got to the bottom, I saw the Civil Security soldier. He was lying there, dying.

“Civil Security Lite, dying enemy” an indicator said.

I thought about killing him, but then I decided to leave him to suffer. For I felt he deserved it. After I had trotted out of the house, I continued to look around. I trotted over to where the civil security soldiers were, I found something valuable. It was an advanced GPS, and on it said “Ponyville”. What? This wasteland was Ponyville? Whatever had happened must have been tragic. Then I looked up at the sky, an indicator popped up.

“Usurpation Laser” it said.

I could see nothing, just a dark grey sky with a little bit of brown in it. I put the GPS in a compartment in my armors other hoof. Then I saw a few wires. A red one, a blue one, and a green one. I looked on the back of the GPS and it had the same colors, only as slots. I pushed the GPS in, making the wires fit in their places. And then a map appeared on my visor. It had a little dot that said “you are here”. Then at the top of the map it had directions on how to close the map and pull it back up.

“To close the map, say close. To open the map say open” the directions said.

“Easy enough” I thought to myself.

I looked at the map a bit more and could see a little fort over Fort Hoof, a sister-city to Manehattan. An indicator appeared on the fort, it said “CS Slave Base”. What the heck? Slavery? I  would not put up with this, this was unheard of! So I started to gallop that direction. After about 15 minutes of galloping, I slowed to a trot. I could see a small convoy of carriages holding ponies in chains, civil security lites, and civil security heavys. This would be a hard task, but I knew if I did it, that would set free about five or six more ponies. So I opened fire on the carriage, making sure no bullets hit the enslaved ponies.

“Enemy spotted!” I heard a civil security say aloud.

“I see him!” I heard another say aloud.

I kept suppressing fire on the ones who hadn’t gotten to cover yet.

“Dueaghh!!” I heard one I shot cry.

I stopped firing and took cover.

I peeked over the cover I was in and saw a civil security heavy trotting up to me.

“Your out-numbered” he said politely.

“Really? You don’t say?” I told him aloud.

“If you surrender, we promise not to kill you. But we sure will torture you!” I heard the Civil Security say as he laughed aloud.

“To hell itself with that bucked up crap!” I said aloud before popping out of cover to spray him with my rifles bullets.

I kept shooting him until finally, after about twenty more bullets, he fell over, covered in blood. I got back in cover and looked for more civil security soldiers. I could see none, so I galloped out of cover to behind on of the carriages. Jeez these guys loved to play hide and go seek, these guys were cowardly soldiers. What happened to Equestria? I know extra terrestrials were invading but I didn’t expect anypony’s way of life and war to change. A sharp pain ruined my thoughts, and I could see my health had gone down to 490, then 480, then 460. Somepony had spotted me and I turned around to see who it was. It was a civil security lite. He had snuck up behind me a few hooves away. I bit down on the little mouthpiece, and shot him with only four bullets. His visor was facing me until he fell over, dead. Blood was spewing out of his armor, then onto mine as crawled up to his body. I saw a few grenades, and a pistol. It proved no use to me since I already had arms, but I took it anyway, to give it to sompony who could help me if I ever found one. I looked up from the lites’ body and saw a heavy and another lite charging at me.

“Zero” I said as I took a fighting stance.

The lite, who was faster than expected, buck kicked me. Sending me backwards, into the dirt. I got up, only to see him put his hoof on my visor, holding me down. What I could see, however, surprised me. I saw an enslaved unicorn pony pick up the pistol I had took from the dead lite and shoot the lite that had his hoof on me. The lite staggered off of me towards the side and I got up to slice him until he was in pieces. I got to a new stance and jumped at the lite, landing on his back with all four hooves. I sliced his neck twice then jumped upwards as high as I could. Coming down with all the momentum I had, I sliced through his neck one last time, beheading him. I had landed right beside him when I came down so his blood went all over my visor. As some of it dripped of my helmet, I looked for the heavy. The problem was that I was looking in one direction. When I looked to the side, I saw a very pissed off heavy charging at me with all his might.

“Three” I said as my shotgun popped out and my blades folded in.

When he had gotten about two hooves away, I blasted his head, Sending chunks of it into the dirt. His body was just standing there, then it fell over. His blood was spewing from the little stub that was once his head. I turned around and saw three more civil security soldiers charging at me while one stayed behind. The three were a heavy, and two lites. The three all held G Blades, and the one that stayed behind was a heavy, and he was shooting at me.

“Two” I said as my shotgun folded in and my rifle popped out.

I opened fire on the heavy and the lites, only to see them deflecting the bullets that were about to hit them.

“Unfairness, is only fun when your doing it” I thought to myself.

I switched to my G Blades and charged at the three. Outmatched and outnumbered, I started to loose hope. Then the unicorn that shot the lite was now aiming for the heavy. This pleased me, and I jumped onto the back of the heavy with blades as the unicorn shot the heavy with the pistol. I stabbed the heavy and jumped off of him, then did the same with one of the lites. It killed the lite but left the heavy in a dying state.

“What the buck?” I heard the other lite say.

“It’s ninja style, look it up, oh wait you cant cause your about to die!!” I yelled at him.

“Ok then, come at me bro” he taunted.

I galloped at him and attempted a slice, but he blocked it. Holding my hoof in place, he used his free one to slice at me. I blocked this and pushed him away. He staggered a bit, then I knew it wouldn’t be long until he would be dead. But he knew something I didn’t. Because this was in the distant future, he knew a bit more about my fighting style than I did. When I charged at him, he held my hooves in place and pulled me onto his back hooves. He held me there for a bit then flipped me onto my side, putting me in a hoof-bar.

“Dangit!” I yelled at him.

“Now I’m going to break your hoof off now ok?” he told me with a crazed tone in his voice.

He pulled back and took my hoof with him, stretching it until it felt like it would pop out of place.

“Ahhh, aughh!!” I screamed.

He wasn’t going to stop, I knew I was dead now. But then a bit of luck bestowed on me. My hoof slipped from his grasp and I pulled it away. It hurt like buck, so I got away from him for a second. He jumped from the ground landing on two of his hooves. After he had gotten to all four, he prepared to charge at me. I pulled my hoof back that wasn’t hurting and waited for the right timing. After he got about three hooves away, I sliced upwards. This hit his helmet and hit him too. He flipped backwards while still going forwards. While he was in the air, he twisted and landed on his muzzle. His helmet flew off during the process, so he was vulnerable. He was trying to get up when I trotted up to him, I held him down with my hoof and said “Your time has come” in an oddly malfested voice.

“What?” he asked with a confused tone.

“Well, you did enslave these ponies didn’t you?” I asked with my voice back to slightly robotic.

“Well no and yes, I didn’t want to but I was just following orders. Haven’t you ever had that feeling before?” he asked nicely.

I shivered and thought of the time I had met that colt, and I felt even worse when an indicator popped up and said “Civil Security Lite, dying ally”. This Lite could be an ally to me if I healed him. So I dragged his body over to the carriage and asked the unicorn who had shot the Heavy and lite to heal him. The unicorn glared at me and did what I asked her to. In a few seconds he was alive and well.

“Nightingale” the Civil Security Lite said.

“Wait what?” I asked.

“That’s my name” he said simply.

Since I was the kind of pony who (and still is) wouldn’t judge a book by its cover or title, I ignored it.

“I’m Autumn, but for now until we get this wasteland straightened out, call me C-01Ts” I said in an upbeat tone.

“Ok C-01Ts, I am ready to fight as your friend or your companion” Nightingale told me.

“Both” I told him simply.

“Oh and sorry about your friends there” I apologized.

“Don’t be, these mother buckers are or were horrible soldiers. And I never wanted to fight along side them.” he explained.

“A lot of these soldiers here were once Equestrians, now we are just wasteland souls fighting and enslaving our own kind. Not to mention the Usurpation soldiers, they bucked everything up and still are.” he explained once more.

“Well, what about the elements of harmony?” I asked curiously.

Nightingale scoffed and looked at me blankly, “dead” he said quietly and sadly.

This struck me, I nearly fell over and cried when I heard this. I wanted to find out how they died, and kill whoever killed them. At this point I had been through a lot and saved six ponies throughout the day. I will save more in this wasteland, and I will meet new ponies to help guide me this wasteland. Just hope its not too late.
