Chapter 1: The Idea
Far away from the land of Equestria, the last few members of a guild of assassins known as the Dark Brotherhood are wondering how they will be able to make their presence known outside of Tamriel. They have been debating on this matter for a while, but one day, their mage, Festus Krex, had a brilliant idea.
"What if we were to perform a ritual that would allow us to clone ourselves and have those clones sent to another universe? We would be spread across the fabric of reality and all would know of Sithis and our Brotherhood." Their leader, Astrid, thought that this was the most brilliant idea that Festus had ever presented to her.
"Festus Krex, you have most certainly presented the greatest opportunity for the Dark Brotherhood in history! You, Gabriella and Babette start preparing the Ritual and it's requirements, and I will give you three a 75 percent cut of our greatest paying contract." At the mention of this, Babette and Gabriella went wide-eyed with amazement.
"You can count on us!" said Gabriella and Babette in unison.
When Astrid mentioned this to the other members of the Dark Brotherhood, they certainly agreed that Festus Krex's idea was a brilliant one, but they wondered how they could help in preparing the ritual. At the mention of this, Festus Krex arrived in the room to tell them how they could help.
"Tell you what, Babette, Gabriella and I will prepare the ritual, and the rest of you can go find the spell tome for transporting the clones to the other universe."
Astrid asked Festus where they could find the tome for transport to the other universe, and Festus replied with, "You will find the spell tome in a secret compartment below the College of Winterhold. I hid the tome there while I was teaching Destruction magic at the College. I will warn you though that there may be some Draugr and Ice Wraiths down there."
2 Days after Festus told the Brotherhood where they could find the spell tome, Nazir and Veezara went together to the secret compartment below the College of Winterhold.
When Veezara caught the scent of Draugr in the compartment he said, "Festus certainly wasn't kidding when he said there'd be Draugr down here, their stench is unbearable."
Nazir replied by saying, "That's for damn sure." When they were attacked by the Draugr, Veezara swiftly dodged their attacks and stabbed the Draugr where their hearts would be, and Nazir used his scimitar to behead the Draugr that dared to attack him. The Draugr that Nazir beheaded sputtered blood from where their heads used to be and collapsed to the ground. As they got closer to the spell tome, Nazir could feel a noticeable change in the temperature. "Does it seem colder?" As soon as Nazir said this, Ice Wraiths appeared out of thin air. 
Veezara and Nazir fought off the Ice Wraiths, and melted them by using their torches as weapons. When they reached a room that had no enemies in it, they noticed a spell tome on the desk. "That must be the spell tome we need." They took the spell tome, exited the secret compartment, and returned to their sanctuary. When Nazir and Veezara returned, they gave the spell tome to Festus Krex, and they then chose to rest for the night. The next day, after they woke up, Festus told them that the ritual was ready to begin.
Festus chanted the incantation for the cloning ritual, and as it went on, their shadows started to move on their own. Eventually, the shadows started to rise from the ground and take physical shape. As the ritual neared completion, the shadows gained the appearance of the members of the Dark Brotherhood. When the ritual completed, the shadows turned into exact clones of the Dark Brotherhood members, even having the exact same memories. When the original Festus created the portal, the clone members of the Dark Brotherhood walked into it, and when the last one entered, the portal closed.

Chapter 2: Arrival in Equestria
As the clones of the Dark Brotherhood members regain consciousness, they take in their surroundings. They are in a forest that seems very dense and dark, and it doesn't seem like there is anybody around. When they looked at themselves though, they were in utter shock. "WE HAVE ALL BECOME PONIES?!" they all shouted in unison. Gabriella and Babette were the only ones who has a slightly less surprised reaction. Shadowmere was used to being a horse, so he didn't have any reaction.
As the Dark Brotherhood began to calm down, they took a closer look at each other's new appearance. Festus, Gabriella, and Babette were all unicorns, while the others were all earth ponies with the exception of Veezara, who sported a pair of bat wings (which would technically make him either a Pegasus or a Thestral), but all of the members of the Dark Brotherhood had some aspects of what they originally looked like. They all noticed that they had the Black Hand, the symbol of the Dark Brotherhood, on their flanks. Festus tried using his magic, and it was channeled through his unicorn horn.
"Hmmm... Interesting, unicorns appear to be able to channel magic through their horns. This is helpful to know if we need to use magic." Gabriella was next to try using her magic, and her horn glowed a dark blue when she cast the spell Candlelight. Babette spotted a glowing pair of eyes in the distance and sensed that it was hostile. Babette used her unicorn horn to use her Drain Health spell since she is a vampire, and drained the life force out of the hostile timberwolf.
Eventually, Astrid spoke up to her Brotherhood and said, "We should exit this forest and see what else this world has to offer." The Dark Brotherhood agreed with her and they all set out for the edge of the forest.
When the Dark Brotherhood exited the forest, they noticed that it was still daylight out. Babette was slightly weakened by the sun since she is a vampire, but she was not terribly affected. Nazir noticed some buildings down a path, and he said, "We should head towards that village, and see what we can learn about this world."
"Good thinking Nazir," said Astrid, "We shall follow your lead."
As the Dark Brotherhood neared the village, they noticed a sign that said, "welcome to Ponyville." After they entered the village, they headed toward a tree with a sign saying "Ponyville Library." When they entered the library, they noticed that it was not like any library in all of Skyrim. They were greeted by a young purple dragon. "Welcome to the Ponyville Librar-" he was stunned by the appearance of these new ponies and shouted out, "Hey Twilight! There's some new ponies in here!"
A young female voice replied, "Coming Spike!" When the source of the voice came down the stairs, the Dark Brotherhood was greeted by a purple pony. Astrid noticed that the purple pony was a unicorn, and she had a mark of 6 stars on her flanks. The purple unicorn had a mane that was a dark shade of purple and a few lines of pink, the same was for the tail. "How interesting," she thought.
Twilight was staring at nine new but strange ponies. They all had the same cutie mark, and that mark was a black hand. One of the new ponies was green and had a reptilian look with many horns on his head. He had slitted eyes. Next was a red stallion with black around his torso. He had grey eyes and no tail, "Strange," she thought to herself. Then there was the filly whose coat was white as snow, but her eyes were solid red with no pupils in them and something about her teeth was off. Her two front teeth were pointed instead of flat. Twilight and Spike both felt nervous about the filly, and they were both thinking, "Why are that filly's front teeth pointed instead of flat? She couldn't be a vampony... Could she? No, it must be my imagination!"
"Well hello there! Welcome to Ponyville! My name is Twilight Sparkle, and who are you?"
Astrid was the first to step up and introduce herself. "Pleasure to meet you Twilight Sparkle, my name is Astrid. The Family and I are new here to your town of Ponyville. I hope you don't mind us here."
Twilight replied, "Of course I don't mind you and your family here Astrid. By the way, who is this with the beard that is standing next to you?"
"I'm Arnbjorn. You probably should know that Astrid here is my wife. So if anything happens to Astrid, you better let me know."
Twilight was mildly surprised to hear that Astrid and Arnbjorn were married, but she decided to hide it away for now. Twilight's attention was turned to Babette, "And who are you you adorable little girl?"
Babette blushed slightly at being called adorable, but she was used to being told this back in Tamriel. "I'm Babette. It's nice to meet you Twilight Sparkle."
Twilight's attention then turned to the pony who had traits of a lizard. "And who are you my reptilian friend?" asked Twilight. "I am Veezara. Pleasure to meet you Twilight Sparkle."
Twilight's attention then turned to the pony jester that reminded her of Pinkie Pie. "And who are you little jester?"
When Cicero noticed Twilight was talking to him, he said, "Oh hello hello hello! I am Cicero! It is a pleasure to meet you Twilight Sparkle! We are going to be fast friends."
Twilight replied by saying, "It's a pleasure to meet you to Cicero."
After talking to Cicero, Twilight turned her attention to the hooded pony with a beard. "And who are you?" Twilight asked.
"I am Nazir. I come all the way from the desert. It's nice to meet you Twilight Sparkle."
Twilight's attention was then turned to the dark blue unicorn who was apparently trying to levitate a book towards herself. "And who are you my fellow unicorn?" said Twilight.
"I am Gabriella. It is a pleasure to meet you Twilight Sparkle. Maybe sometime later we can study up on some of these books together? I do love to learn a good spell or two."
Twilight Sparkle replied, "I would be honored to study with you Gabriella."
Twilight then turned her attention to the black and red unicorn who was reading a spell book. "And who are you my good sir?" asked Twilight.
"I am Festus Krex. I am a mage, and I think we can both learn a few things about magic from each other."
Twilight was excited to know that Festus was a mage and was offering to teach her magic. "I'll be sure to meet you later so that we can discuss magic Festus Krex."
Finally, Twilight turned her attention to the tall black stallion with blood-red eyes. Twilight was nervous at first of him, but she managed to say, "And who are you my good sir?"
The black stallion replied by saying, "My name is Shadowmere. It is a pleasure to meet you Twilight Sparkle."
All of the Dark Brotherhood members simultaneously shouted, "WOAH! DID SHADOWMERE JUST TALK?! HE WAS NEVER ABLE TO TALK BACK WHERE WE CAME FROM! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?"
Shadowmere replied by saying, "Perhaps by leaving our realm and transporting to this realm has gifted me with the ability of speech. At any rate, it shall certainly come in handy."
"I think we can agree on that Shadowmere." replied Astrid.
Twilight questioned this by saying, "What do you mean Shadowmere used to never be able to talk?"
Astrid merely said, "I'll tell you about it later once me and the rest of the Family settle in."
Chapter 3: Introductions to Rarity and a glimpse of Pinkie Pie
After Twilight got to know the members of the Dark Brotherhood, she said, "Why don't I show you 9 around Ponyville?"
Astrid replied by saying, "That would be most helpful to us. Thank you for the offer Twilight Sparkle."
"You're welcome Astrid. I will have to give you warning though, there's one pony around Ponyville that always throws a party for new ponies in town, and she can be rather random. Her name is Pinkie Pie. I think the best pony you could compare her to would be Cicero."
Astrid thought to herself, "oh great, a pony that might be crazier than Cicero. Someone make it so that this pony isn't going to meet us today."
Cicero heard the warning about Pinkie Pie and thought to himself, "A pony crazier than me?! Oh no, even I don't want that... Mother keep us safe from this Pinkie Pie." All of the Dark Brotherhood members heard the warning and were all trying to not think about anything crazier than Cicero.
Twilight saw this on their faces and said, "Let's start the tour as far away from Pinkie as possible alright?"
The Dark Brotherhood all said in unison, "agreed."
When the door opened the Dark Brotherhood was greeted by a pony what had a mane of deep purple and fur as white as snow. Astrid noticed that on Rarity's flanks were 3 diamonds. Rarity was greeted by 9 new ponies that she had never seen before. She noticed that all of them had the exact same cutie mark, a black hand. One of them that stood out was a pony who was dressed up like a jester, and seemed to have a similar personality to Pinkie Pie. Another one she was most intrigued by was a green pony that had reptilian features, and many horns on his head, his tail was also that of a lizard's. She also noticed the adorable little filly who had fur white as snow, and eyes the deepest red. What really stood out about the filly to her was her teeth, she could have sworn the two front teeth were pointed instead of flat. Rarity was slightly afraid of the tall pony who was black as the night and eyes that were blood-red.
Rarity was the first to speak and said, "Hello all of you! Welcome to Ponyville! I am Rarity, and I am considered a great fashionista!"
Astrid was the first to speak to Rarity, "Hello Rarity, I am Astrid. Me and the Family here are getting a tour of Ponyville from your friend Twilight Sparkle. I believe introductions to the rest of the family are in order."
Gabriella went up to Rarity to speak to her and said, "It's a pleasure to meet you Rarity, I am Gabriella. Perhaps after the rest of the family introduces themselves I can browse your shop?"
Rarity replied, "Of course Gabriella. You are free to browse my shop." Rarity's attention was then turned to the snow-white filly. "And who are you you adorable little filly?"
Babette blushed again at being called adorable, and then replied, "I am Babette, it's nice to meet you Rarity."
Rarity's attention then turned to the jester that reminded her of Pinkie Pie, and asked, "Who are you little jester?"
Cicero replied by saying, "Hello hello hello! I am Cicero! It's a pleasure to meet you Rarity! What a kind and polite mare you are! We're going to be fast friends indeed!"
Rarity was about to turn her attention to Veezara when she spotted Pinkie Pie in the distance. She said to Twilight, "Twilight, I see Pinkie Pie."
At the mention of Pinkie Pie's name, the pink blur suddenly appears in front of Rarity and says, "OHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSH9NEWPONIESINTOWNIHAVETOTHROWAREALLYBIGPARTYFORTHEMALLOHMYGOSHTHISISGONNABEMYBIGGESTPARTYEVER!" After saying all of that in one breath, Pinkie passed out.
Only Cicero seemed to understand what Pinkie said. "What in the world did she say?" asked Astrid.
"I believe she said that she is going to throw a party for all 9 of us and that it will be her 'biggest party ever'." replied Cicero.
Nazir only responded by saying, "Well, at least we have someone who can translate what that hyperactive pink pony is saying."
Chapter 4: Pinkie's Party
Once Pinkie Pie woke up, she was surprised to see the 9 new ponies staring at her, and the one dressed up as a jester was in front of her. "You really shouldn't be making such a scene in front of the Family. And people say that Cicero is the crazy one..." said Cicero.
Pinkie Pie replied to this by saying, "So your name is Cicero? Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie! And I'm going to throw you and the 8 others of your family the biggest party I've ever had!"
Cicero replied to Pinkie with, "Yes, I heard you earlier when you spoke to us with that one sentence all in one breath. Even I can't do it, and I'm supposed to be the craziest one in our Family. But, I am able to understand what you say when you speak very fast."
Pinkie next turned her gaze over to the snow-white filly with red eyes and pointy front teeth and said, "Who are you you adorable little filly who I think may be a vampony?"
Babette heard what Pinkie said about her being a 'vampony' and replied with, "What! How do you know?"
Twilight, Rarity, Spike, and Pinkie gasped in surprise at finding out that the little filly was in fact a vampire. "Well it's completely obvious! Your fur is pale as snow, your eyes are pure red, and your front teeth are pointy like fangs. Anypony who doesn't know that is clearly stupid!"
Rarity, Spike and Twilight frowned upon hearing Pinkie's last remark, and they all replied with, "WE ARE NOT STUPID!"
Pinkie realized that she had hurt her friend's feelings and said, "I'm sorry guys! I didn't mean you! I just meant anypony besides us!"
Just from the fact that Babette is a vampire, Twilight, Rarity, and whoever else heard the revelation fainted and didn't wake up until 2 hours later. "Oh for the love of Sithis," said Babette, "Every single time someone learns that I am a vampire, they either faint, have a heart attack and die, or I feed on their blood and make them vampires like me."
After Pinkie's introductions to the rest of the Dark Brotherhood, Pinkie prepared their party, and got all the sweet rolls and wine that they could want. Pinkie invited all of her friends, although she made sure that the children got nowhere near the alcoholic beverages.
When Fluttershy saw the Dark Brotherhood members, she quacked in more fear than she usually had when she met new ponies, mainly because of Shadowmere's blood-red eyes that she felt were staring into her very soul.
"Come on Fluttershy! Don't be scared! Come and meet the new ponies!" said Twilight Sparkle. Eventually, Twilight was able to coax Fluttershy out of hiding, and introduced her to the Dark Brotherhood.
"Fluttershy, this is Astrid and her husband Arnbjorn. They and their 7 other 'family' members are new here to Ponyville."
"Pleasure to meet you Fluttershy. By the way, don't mind my husband Arnbjorn, he tends to be antisocial to anybody unfamiliar to him or anyone who doesn't interest him."
Fluttershy replied by saying, "O-okay Astrid. By the way, who is this little filly who is so pale?"
"I am Babette. I'm over 300 years old. Being a vampire tends to keep one... remarkably fresh."
Fluttershy replied with an "Eep!" and hid behind the table; after all, she had never seen a living vampire before, let alone one that looked like a child!
Fluttershy then got her attention put on Cicero as he started dancing, "And who are you Mr. Jester?" asked Fluttershy.
Cicero replied with, "I am Cicero! Hello hello hello! I can see you're quite the shy one. Don't worry, Cicero doesn't bite. Besides, you're too adorable to hurt!"
Fluttershy blushed at being called adorable by Cicero and replied by saying, "Thank you Mr. Cicero. It's nice to be appreciated."
Fluttershy next turned her face to Veezara. "Who are you mister lizard pony?" asked Fluttershy.
"I am Veezara. It's a pleasure to meet you Fluttershy."
Fluttershy next turned her attention to the deep blue unicorn. "Who are you miss?" asked Fluttershy.
"I am Gabriella. It's nice to meet you Fluttershy."
Fluttershy was going to speak to the tall black stallion with menacing blood-red eyes, but the sight of those eyes made her "Eep!" and hide behind her mane.
"Oh for the love of Celestia! Fluttershy, would you just go up and speak to this handsome stallion?" said Rarity.
After hearing Rarity's remark, Fluttershy slowly walked up to the tall black stallion with eyes red as blood. "Wh-who are you mister?" she asked nervously.
"I am Shadowmere. It's nice to meet you Fluttershy."
Fluttershy then turned her attention to the old unicorn that was gray and red. "Who are you sir?" she asked.
"I am Festus Krex. I am a wizard, and I think maybe I can help you find some courage." Just as Festus mentioned courage, he decided to cast the Courage spell on Fluttershy.
Fluttershy felt more courageous and she noticed a green glow on herself after the spell took effect. "Thank you Mr. Krex. I feel more courageous already!"
Twilight was curious as to why Fluttershy started glowing after Festus cast the spell on her. When she asked Festus, he simply told her that it was a side effect of the spell.
Fluttershy's attention then turned to the hooded pony who had a beard. "Who are you?" she asked.
"I am Nazir. I come all the way from the harsh desert. It's a pleasure to meet you Fluttershy."
The Dark Brotherhood was enjoying the party, but there was one question that they all had, "Where is the meat?"
At this statement, Twilight hesitantly asked, "You all eat meat?"
Astrid replied with, "Yes. We eat meat where we come from. Don't worry, we won't cannibalize upon your flesh." she said with an evil grin.
At the mention of eating meat, Twilight and her friends struggled to keep their food in their stomachs.
Fluttershy replied with, "I'm sorry, but we don't eat meat here. Even if we wanted to, I don't think we have the right kind of teeth."
Arnbjorn was somewhat disappointed that there would be no meat to feast on, given that he is a werewolf, but he managed to eat what food there was, but he had one more question, "If you ponies don't have meat, then at least do you have alcohol?"
Twilight Sparkle replied with, "We do have alcohol here. What kind of beverage would you like?"
The Dark Brotherhood replied with, "We'd like some good old-fashioned ale."
Meanwhile, thousands of miles away, Princess Celestia and her sister Princess Luna were about to have some cake together when suddenly, they both felt the presence of an unfamiliar darkness. However, they noticed that apparently, this darkness was sentient, because they could sense that it was exerting a consciousness.
"What is this unfamiliar darkness?" thought Celestia, "It's unlike any darkness I have felt before. Not only that, but it seems to be sentient." While Celestia thought about this unfamiliar darkness, Luna felt a familiar presence in this darkness, and she heard a deep male voice whispering in her head.
"It has been a long time, Princess Luna," said the voice, "You and I have not spoken in ages since you broke free of Nightmare Moon after a thousand years on the moon."
Luna immediately recognized the voice. It was the voice of someone she had not heard from since seeing a glimpse of Tamriel while she was on the moon. The voice of an old friend who taught her about the Dark Brotherhood and their eventual arrival in Equestria. "It has indeed been a long time... Sithis." thought Luna
Chapter 5: The Prophecy of Sithis
Luna and Sithis had not had the chance to speak ever since she first broke free of Nightmare Moon. But after many long years, the two finally got to talk to each other. "Lord Sithis, it is an honor to speak to you after so many long years. How have your duties in Mundus been?" asked Luna.
Sithis replied with, "My duties in the realm of mortal humans has remained relatively unchanged. Recently, the last few members of the Dark Brotherhood made clones of themselves, and sent those clones to your realm of Equestria. They all bear the mark of the Black Hand on their flanks. I shall give you a mental image of their current forms in your world."
Luna studied the image in detail. Sithis was correct in that they all bore the mark of the Black Hand. She was surprised to see that Shadowmere was able to speak in this world, and she seemed intrigued by the fact that Nazir still had his hood from his own world. After seeing the image, Luna asked Sithis why he was in her realm.
Sithis answered with a question, "Are you familiar with a certain prophecy in your world? It details that, when 9 bearing a mark of a hand come to this world, the princess of the night shall birth the child of an elder god from another realm, and that child shall lead the 9 with the mark of a hand as well as hear the voice of the elder god's bride."
Luna replied with, "I am familiar with that prophecy. I have studied it in the royal library, in the restricted section. Me and my sister were the only ones allowed to gaze upon that tome. Even my sister's disciple, Twilight Sparkle, has been forbidden to gaze upon that prophecy."
Sithis was pleased to know that Luna was familiar with the prophecy; it would mean that she would have at least a hint of what was to come. Sithis then spoke to Luna, "But what it doesn't document is who will play the roles of the elder god and princess of night. Naturally that role of the elder god applies to me. As for the role of the princess of the night... I'll let you have one guess."
Luna was filled with a look of shock on her face, and she replied with, "ME?! I AM TO BEAR THE CHILD OF AN ELDER GOD FROM ANOTHER REALM?!"
Sithis would have had a smirk of amusement on his face if he had a physical form. In response to Luna's shocked remark, Sithis replied with, "My, my. You have a better understanding of the prophecy than I thought you would. Yes, you are to birth my child in your world, and that child shall become the Listener of the Dark Brotherhood in your realm of Equestria."
Luna had tears running down her eyes, she had always wanted to be a mother, but there were no male immortal alicorns that she knew of in Equestria. She had debated on having a child with a mortal, but she decided against it because of the pain she would have in seeing that child age and die before she did. Now, she would finally have what her heart most desired.
She replied to Sithis with, "You have no idea how much of an honor and joy it is for me to bear your child. One question though; how will you... impregnate me without you having a physical form?"
Sithis replied with, "I will momentarily take physical form in your world and impregnate you in the conventional matter that your kind uses."
Luna replied to this with, "Well then... I guess we'd better get started. I shall be waiting for you in my bedchamber. I'm... looking forward to us pleasuring each other." However, Luna had one more question for Sithis, "But what of the Night Mother? Surely the Night Mother would be displeased for you to bear a child with a woman besides her. She is your bride after all."
As Luna finished this question, she heard the voice of the Night Mother in her head, "I was disappointed when I first heard of this prophecy, but I realized that it would allow my will and the will of Sithis to be brought across the fabric of reality. I shall speak to you on this one occasion only, for you are not the Listener."

"That was marvelous!" said Luna, "I cannot express how pleasured I feel right now."
Sithis too was pleased after some exceptionally beautiful sex with Luna. After Sithis left his physical form and left for the Void, he decided that he would make a copy of the Night Mother's body in Equestria. Sithis then sent a telepathic message to Cicero explaining that the Night Mother's body would be copied and the copy would be put in the new Sanctuary in Equestria. Cicero was pleased to know that he would resume his duties as Keeper.
Chapter 6: Sanctuary and the Black Door
Just after Pinkie's party for the Dark Brotherhood members ended, an important issue came to mind that Astrid brought up, "Where shall we live in this world? We don't have our Sanctuary back in Skyrim."
Thankfully, Festus Krex had prepared for this scenario, and he explained to Astrid how he would deal with it. "During my time in our Family, I found some documents on how the Sanctuaries were created. The one creating the sanctuary would cast a spell, and would ask the question that the Black Door would ask for those who wished to enter the Sanctuary. The person casting the spell would then answer the question and the Black Door would appear out of thin air and appear where the caster was pointing. The inside of the Sanctuary would generate itself and have our supplies inside it."
Astrid was relieved that Festus had prepared for this, and she replied with, "I am certainly glad that you know how to establish a Sanctuary in this world. But where shall it be?"
Festus had a location in mind, "I shall create the Sanctuary beneath the road near the Everfree Forest. As for the question that the Black Door will ask, shall we use the same question for our Sanctuary back in Skyrim, or should we use a different question?"
Cicero had a question in mind for the Black Door to ask, and he decided to tell the other members of it, "A while back on my way to Skyrim with the Night Mother, I found the phrase for the abandoned Dawnstar Sanctuary. The Black Door would ask, 'What is life's greatest illusion?' and the correct passphrase was, 'Innocence my Brother.'"
Festus debated on which phrase to use, and chose the one that Cicero mentioned from the Dawnstar Sanctuary. "Very well then. We'll use the phrase that Cicero brought up from the Dawnstar Sanctuary. I'll head to the spot and cast the spell."
Festus Krex headed beneath the road by the Everfree Forest, and found the perfect spot to place the Black Door. Festus prepared the spell with both his front hooves and unicorn horn, and as it charged Festus asked, "What is life's greatest illusion?" Once the spell was fully charged, Festus spoke the words, "Innocence my Brother," and he released the spell into the spot he was pointing at. All of a sudden, a Black Door with a skull on it appeared where the spell struck, generating from black mist.
Meanwhile, back in Ponyville, Astrid and the other members of the Dark Brotherhood debated on how they would get themselves publically known throughout the realm of Equestria. Gabriella was the one to resolve the issue when she proposed the following scenario, "I just so happened to have a copy of 'A Kiss, Sweet Mother' on me when we went through the portal to this realm. I propose that we take it to a writer to have it copied and shipped to libraries across this land of Equestria. Of course, we would have to publish other works of our Brotherhood, and that might take a while."
Astrid grinned upon hearing this, and said to Gabriella, "Gabriella, I think you may have just provided us a means of making our presence known in this world."
Afterwards, Gabriella headed to Twilight Sparkle's library, and sought out Twilight Sparkle. Once Twilight came downstairs, she said, "Hello Gabriella. Did you enjoy the party?"
Gabriella replied with, "The party was enjoyable. I am slightly disappointed that your kind does not eat meat or even have meat for others, but I suppose it's natural since ponies don't have the right teeth to eat meat."
Twilight replied with, "Oh that's not true. We do have some places in Equestria where you can get meat, but it's mostly for the foreigners who come to visit our land."
"Intriguing," said Gabriella, "I suppose it would make sense to have some variety of cuisine for foreign visitors. By the way, I happen to have a book with me from a friend of mine back at home, I was hoping that you would be able to copy it and sell it to other libraries in Equestria. Would you be willing to?"
Twilight was joyed that she would be able to help a book become popular across Equestria, but first she asked, "May I see this book that you wish to be copied?"
"Of course Twilight. Here it is." Gabriella's horn glowed dark blue, and she levitated the book to Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight looked at the book. "Hmm... 'A Kiss, Sweet Mother'? Funny... I don't remember ever seeing this book in the library before. But then again, Gabriella did say that it's from a friend of hers back in her homeland." thought Twilight.
Twilight then asked Gabriella if she could take a gander at the book's contents, and Gabriella replied with, "Yes, you may read the book, but not until after you make at least a few copies for this library."
Twilight complied, and she used a copying spell to make multiple duplicates of the book, and afterwards she levitated them to the proper spots on the bookshelves of her library..
Satisfied with how fast Twilight was able to copy the book, Gabriella allowed Twilight to read the copy that she had with her.
A Kiss, Sweet Mother

So you wish to summon the Dark Brotherhood? You wish to see someone dead? Pray, child. Pray, and let the Night Mother hear your plea.
You must perform that most profane of rituals - the Black Sacrament.
Create an effigy of the intended victim, assembled from actual body parts, including a heart, skull, bones, and flesh. Encircle that effigy with candles.
The ritual itself must then commence. Proceed to stab the effigy repeatedly with a dagger rubbed with the petals of a Nightshade plant while whispering this plea:
"Sweet Mother, sweet Mother, send your child unto me, for the sins of the unworthy must be baptized in blood and fear."
Then wait, child, for the Dread Father Sithis rewards the patient. You will be visited by a representative of the Dark Brotherhood. So begins a contract bound in blood.
After reading the contents of, "A Kiss, Sweet Mother," Twilight Sparkle was disturbed by the text of the book. She had not known of this group of assassins known as the Dark Brotherhood, and she was horrified to find a ritual to summon one of their number by stabbing a corpse replica of the person wanted dead made with actual body parts. Twilight Sparkle had a visible look of horror on her face, as well as disgust.
Gabriella then said, "Are you alright Twilight Sparkle? You're turning green."
Twilight merely replied with, "Excuse me please Gabriella," and then went off to the bathroom to vomit in privacy.
Chapter 7: Twilight becomes a part of the Dark Brotherhood
Twilight was still getting over the disgust of the contents of "A Kiss, Sweet Mother" when she went to bed. During the night, Gabriella took Twilight Sparkle from her home and took her to the new Sanctuary that had been created by Festus Krex. Twilight didn't wake up until morning, and when she did, she was curious as to why she felt like she was on stone. When her sight began to clear up, she realized that she wasn't in her library anymore; she was somewhere underground judging by the appearance of the area around her. It was then that she saw Astrid looking at her, but in armor that she did not recognize. However, since there was a mask covering Astrid's face, Twilight didn't recognize her. The armor looked like this:
Twilight was so filled with fear that she was practically soaked in her own sweat. Astrid merely said, "Sleep well?"
"What? Where am I? Who are you?"
At this Astrid merely replied with, "Does it matter? You're warm, dry, and still very much alive." Twilight was relieved to know that she was still alive, but she was still curious to know where she was, and to her question, Astrid replied with, "You are in the Sanctuary of the Dark Brotherhood. We have to thank that copy of 'A Kiss, Sweet Mother' for us to find you, we placed a detection spell on it."
Twilight was now completely terrified to the point that she was afraid her heart would stop. She was in a Sanctuary for assassins. "Why am I here? What did I do?"
Astrid replied with, "You're here because we need new members to our Family. We only just arrived in this world from our own, to bring the glory of Sithis and the Night Mother to your world. You can help us. Your intellect and skill with magic, as well as your connections to your ruler could help the Dark Brotherhood bring its glory to your land of Equestria in its fullest."
"WHAT?! Oh pl-please... I don't want to kill anypony. I don't want to take innocent lives!"
Astrid's look of amusement was only hidden by her mask, and she said to Twilight, "In our Family we have a saying, 'Innocence is life's greatest illusion.' You wouldn't be killing innocents, you would be killing people who ruined other people's lives. And by 'people' I mean ponies, griffins, changelings and dragons alike. Your contracts for assassinations would be helping other people's lives, and you would be payed with riches beyond your wildest dreams."
Twilight was somewhat in-between a state of joy and a state of disgust. The Dark Brotherhood would justify their killings of other people as 'helping' or 'simple business' and all the money earned would be blood money. However, she couldn't deny that the money would help her and her friend's lives. With the money, she'd be able to purchase new books and renovations for the Ponyville Library, and she and Spike would have less to worry about financially. However, Twilight had one question, "If you used that copy of 'A Kiss, Sweet Mother' to track me, then why do I still have it?"
Astrid replied with, "You still have that copy because you are going to publish it in Ponyville, and you will also publish those other copies you made of it to other libraries in Equestria. You will be helping us make our presence known, and in addition, we will be spreading other works of literature to explain our history and our Family to others. Do this for us, and we will give you the funds to improve your home and help your friends."
Twilight thought deeply on this offer. Eventually she decided that she would become a member of the Dark Brotherhood.
Astrid was pleased with Twilight's decision, and she said, "Welcome to the Family, dear Sister Twilight. But first, a welcome home present, the armor of the Dark Brotherhood. May it keep you safe in all your endeavors."
Then, Twilight Sparkle was given a set of Dark Brotherhood armor identical to the set that Astrid was wearing. As soon as it was in her hooves, Twilight put the armor on. "This armor looks pretty good on me. I think I could get used to it," she thought to herself.
Astrid then gave her a tour of the Sanctuary, but not before she removed her hood, to which Twilight was utterly shocked. "ASTRID?! YOU'RE THE LEADER OF THE DARK BROTHERHOOD?"
Astrid smirked at Twilight's shock, and she replied with, "I am leader of this Sanctuary in your world, and a Sanctuary back in my world. Arnbjorn and the others are also part of the Dark Brotherhood. Now, I shall tell you why me and the others were so shocked to hear Shadowmere talk. You see, back in our world, the planet is ruled by creatures called 'humans' and also inhabited by elves. Horses in our world are used for transportation and they are unable to talk. Shadowmere was a horse that was created by a being called Sithis, and Shadowmere has been a noble steed for many of the leaders in the Dark Brotherhood's history. He looked similar to how he looks in this world, only... different. When we came to this world, we were utterly shocked to hear him speak because he was unable to speak in our world." Twilight definitely thought this story to be interesting.
"Before you go, our Sanctuary is just beneath the road near the Everfree Forest. When you come back here, when questioned by the Black Door, speak the phrase 'Innocence my Brother' and the door will allow you entrance to our Sanctuary."
Twilight replied with, "Thank you Astrid, I will certainly come back once our presence is known and the contracts start coming. I'd better get to work on publishing 'A Kiss, Sweet Mother.'"
After Twilight got back to her library, she decided to write a letter to both Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.
Dear Princess Celestia and Princess Luna,
Yesterday, 9 new ponies arrived in Ponyville, and they all had the exact same cutie mark, a black symbol that they called a "hand". I have a sketch of the mark on the back of this letter. Even more shocking is that one of the ponies was reptilian, and one was a filly who is actually a living breathing vampire! They seem to be from a place they call Tamriel, and instead of using your name or Luna's name in their speech, they use the name "Sithis." Perhaps you and Luna should come to Ponyville and meet them in person.

Chapter 8: The Royal Sisters meet the Dark Brotherhood
Celestia was having breakfast with Luna after raising the sun when she suddenly received a letter from Twilight Sparkle. She noticed that the letter was addressed to both her and Luna, "Strange... It must be urgent if the letter is for my sister as well as me." she thought. When Celestia and Luna read the letter, they both decided to head to Ponyville at this very instant. Before they left, Celestia wrote a letter for Twilight Sparkle.
Dear Twilight Sparkle,
I am utterly shocked by the arrival of these 9 new ponies! The fact that one is a vampire with the appearance of a child nearly made me have a heart attack! I am intrigued but disturbed by the fact that they eat meat, and I have never heard of anypony having the exact same cutie mark as another pony! I hope that you and your friends are safe, for Luna and I shall both come to Ponyville this morning. I regret having to tell you this, but a darkness that even I am unfamiliar with has arrived in Equestria with these 9 new ponies. What's worse, this darkness is sentient. We shall discuss this when Luna and I arrive in Ponyville.

As soon as the letter was sent, Luna and Celestia headed out to Ponyville. When Twilight read the letter, she was excited to hear that Luna and Celestia were coming to Ponyville, but she was upset that the darkness from the world of the Dark Brotherhood was sensed. Twilight decided to gather up her friends and the members of the Dark Brotherhood to meet Celestia and Luna.
On the way to Ponyville, Luna felt some morning sickness, and Celestia asked Luna if she was okay. Luna said, "I'm fine Tia. I am probably just feeling a little motion sickness from the chariot."
Eventually, Twilight saw the outline of Luna and Celestia's chariot approaching Ponyville. The chariot lands and Princess Celestia and Princess Luna step out of the chariot. Celestia takes a close look at the members of the Dark Brotherhood. The first thing she notices is that they truly do have the exact same cutie mark. Celestia was slightly discomforted by Shadowmere; she felt like his blood-red eyes were staring into her soul.
Luna was the first to speak, and she said, "Greetings. I am Princess Luna, and this is my sister Princess Celestia. She rules over the sun and day, I rule over the moon and night. And you are: Astrid, Veezara, Babette, Gabriella, Festus Krex, Arnbjorn, Nazir, Shadowmere, and Cicero."
The Dark Brotherhood was shocked to hear that Luna already knew their names, and they asked how she knew their names.
Luna replied with, "Not only am I in charge of the night and moon, but I also look over ponies' dreams. I can see the dreams in everypony, and I can see their minds."
Celestia then spoke to Babette, "I am going to brighten the sun to test if you are truly a vampire." As she said this, the sun brightened and Babette feels actual pain from this. Acting on instinct, Babette bites Celestia on the neck with her fangs piercing the skin. Celestia screams from the pain, and she darkens the sun to its normal light. Babette then lets her fangs out of Celestia's neck, leaving two marks where her fangs pierced Celestia's skin. Twilight and her friends are shocked by this act of harm against Celestia. Celestia heals the bite marks on her neck and purges the disease Sanguinare Vampiris (which causes vampirism) from her blood.
Gabriella uses the Calm spell to calm down Celestia and Babette. They glow blue, and Twilight asks what kind of magic it is that Gabriella used. "I simply used the Calm spell. It's a spell from the Illusion School of magic. If you'd like, I can find a few spell tomes for you to learn Illusion spells."
Twilight replied with, "I'd be glad to learn these Illusion spells!" Twilight also thought to herself "These Illusion spells might come in handy in my later adventures, or possibly the contracts once they start coming."
"Tia, would you and the Elements of Harmony please let me talk with these 9 ponies in privacy?" said Luna.
Celestia respected Luna's wish, and she went to Twilight's library with the Elements of Harmony.
"Hang on, I'll soundproof this conversation." said Luna. "Okay. I'm about to tell you of a prophecy in our land, members of the Dark Brotherhood."
Astrid then said, "How do you know of the Dark Brotherhood?"
Luna replied with, "I know because I have seen your realm. I saw a glimpse of Tamriel a thousand years ago, and I learned of your Family. I had a conversation with your Dread Father, Sithis."
Cicero then said, "WHAT? Sithis... Spoke to YOU?!"
Luna nodded in response. Luna then started to tell the Dark Brotherhood of the prophecy. "The prophecy is this; when 9 bearing the mark of a black hand on them arrive in Equestria, the princess of the night shall birth the child of an elder god from another realm, and that child shall lead the 9 with the mark of a hand as well as hear the voice of the elder god's bride. In other words, when you members of the Dark Brotherhood came here to Equestria, Sithis visited me and he shall have me bear his child, and that child shall become your new Listener. The Night Mother disapproved at first of another woman bearing a child of Sithis, but she accepted it when she knew that it would allow her will to be spread across the fabric of reality."
The Dark Brotherhood had visible looks of shock on their faces. All they could say was, "When?" Luna replied with, "Sithis visited me last night. He explained the prophecy to me, and he took physical form and impregnated me."
Astrid then asked, "When shall the Listener be born?"
Luna replied with, "9 months from now."
Chapter 9: Celestia discovers Luna's secret
2 months have passed by since the Royal Sisters met the Dark Brotherhood, and now the Dark Brotherhood has made their presence known all across Equestria. Luna and Celestia were having breakfast together, and something about Luna was puzzling Celestia. To bring it up, Celestia said, "Luna, have you put on some weight? I think you have gotten slightly bigger these past 2 months. Maybe you've been having too many sweets?"
Luna replied with, "I do not think it is that Celestia. Perhaps we should do a medical test on me."
Celestia questioned why Luna would want a medical test on herself, but Luna insisted that Celestia do it anyway. Celestia used her magic to perform a medical analysis on Luna; and the results shocked her so much that the glass she was drinking from was shattered to bits by her grip.
"THIS CANNOT BE POSSIBLE?!" thought Celestia. The shock caused Celestia to scream. After she stopped screaming for 3 minutes straight, using the Royal Canterlot Voice, she said, "YOU'RE PREGNANT?!"
Luna had a visible smirk of amusement on her face to her sister's reaction. And, using the Royal Canterlot Voice, she replied with, "YES IT IS TRUE! I AM GOING TO BE A MOTHER!" From the fact that Celestia knew she would be an aunt, and that Luna used the Royal Canterlot Voice to confirm it, Celestia fainted.
When Celestia woke up, she had two questions for Luna, "How did you get pregnant, and who got you pregnant?"
Luna replied with a clever story she had come up with, "It was HORRIBLE! I was royally RAPED by that nefarious Prince Blueblood! He must have thought that if he had a child with me that he could rule all of Equestria!"
Upon hearing this, Princess Celestia's left eye twitched, and her normally snow-white coat turned a very angry red. Using the Royal Canterlot Voice, she said, "THAT NEFARIOUS ROYAL BASTARD! NO ONE RAPES MY SISTER AND GETS AWAY WITH IT! I WILL PERFORM THE BLACK SACRAMENT AND CALL UPON THE DARK BROTHERHOOD TO SERVE JUSTICE UPON HIM."
Luna was shocked to hear that Celestia wanted to call upon the Dark Brotherhood, but she agreed with her sister on that Blueblood didn't deserve to live. They spent the night gathering a skeleton, a pony's heart, pony flesh, and 5 bushels of Nightshade. Celestia proceeded to rub a knife from her kitchen in the Nightshade and stabbed the Black Sacrament that was surrounded by candles while whispering "Sweet Mother, Sweet Mother, send your child unto me for the sins of the unworthy must be baptized in blood and fear."
Meanwhile, thousands of miles away, Twilight has been telling Spike to read "A Kiss, Sweet Mother." Spike was confused as to why Twilight was obsessing over him reading this one book, but he chose to read it anyway just so Twilight would stop nagging him about it. After reading its contents, Spike had the compulsion to vomit. He chose to take a nap in his basket, but unknown to him, Twilight had taken him in his sleep and took him to the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary.
5 hours later, Spike woke up, and he was terrifired to see that he was in some kind of cave with no way out. Staring at him in the eyes was Astrid in her Dark Brotherhood armor. "it's about time you woke up." she said.
Spike was soaked in his own sweat from his fear of the mare in front of him. He wanted to know where he was, but, before he could ask, Astrid said, "I think you will find that unless you decide to join us in the Dark Brotherhood, you'll never see your precious little Rarity again."
Astrid's words stabbed at Spike's heart, how could he let his beloved Rarity be in danger from the Dark Brotherhood? Spike said, "Why me? Why do you want me to kill innocent ponies?"
Astrid smirked at Spike's fear, but the smirk was hidden by her mask. She replied with, "Our Brotherhood has only been in your home of Equestria for 2 months. We only recently came over from our world of Tamriel, and we want to spread our influence here. And by the way, you wouldn't be truly killing innocents. You would be killing ponies, changelings, dragons, and griffons that ruined the lives of the innocent. It's just simple business. Think what you could do with all the bits you earn by killing for our Dread Father Sithis."
Spike felt both disgust and interest at the same time. He was disgusted by the fact that the Dark Brotherhood dismissed their killings as "simple business" and "justice", but he could not deny the fact that the bits he would earn would help his life and make it so he could purchase objects to help Twilight and impress Rarity. After a moment of deep thought, Spike said, "Very well then. I'll join the Dark Brotherhood."
Astrid then replied with, "Welcome to the Family, Brother. I'll give you a little tour of our Sanctuary. You'll find no safer place in all of Equestria, so get comfortable."
Astrid then proceeded to take Spike to the chamber in the Sanctuary that had a stained glass window depicting Sithis. It looked something like this:
In that chamber were the other members of the Dark Brotherhood. Spike recognized all of them as the 9 new ponies that had arrived in Ponyville 2 months ago. When Spike saw Twilight among their number, his mouth literally dropped to the floor in shock. "TWILIGHT? YOU'RE A MEMBER OF THE DARK BROTHERHOOD?"
Amused by Spike's reaction to finding out the truth, Twilight giggled out loud. Spike was about to tell Twilight that he never thought she would become a murderer, but he felt a feeling that he only got when Celestia was about to send him a letter. However, instead of the usual scent of vanilla he got from the Princess' letters, he recieved a scent of rotting flesh. Astrid asked Twilight why a letter popped out of Spike's mouth, and she replied with, "Spike usually does this when he gets a letter from the princess. Usually the letter has a scent of vanilla, but this one has the scent of rotten flesh. That spell I developed actually worked! Before you ask, I thought of a spell that would automatically make a written request to meet with a person who wanted to contact the Dark Brotherhood and have that request sent through Spike. It's only until we have a Listener, but it'll be just as effective."
"Very clever of you Twilight," said Gabriella, "Even I would have never thought of that. Well, let us see who wishes to have audience with us."
Meet me at the road near the Everfree Forest at 7 P.M. tonight. I wish to give you lot your first contract, and I can assure you I will pay well.
After reading the letter, the Dark Brotherhood had to decide on who would accept the contract. They proceeded to argue for half an hour on who should get the first blood for the Dark Brotherhood in Equestria when Shadowmere proceeded to shout, "I WILL TAKE THIS FIRST CONTRACT!" After a long discussion among the members of the Dark Brotherhood, they all agreed that Shadowmere would take the contract.
Chapter 10: The First Contract (this chapter is incomplete.)

Shadowmere went to the spot near the road to the Everfree Forest at 7 P.M. and he spotted a pony in a black robe. From what he could make out of the pony's features, the pony had a white coat of fur, and she had wings. The pony took off its hood, and Shadowmere was shocked to see Princess Celestia. "You are the one named Shadowmere?" she said. Shadowmere simply nodded his head. Celestia then said, "Now, you can accept my contract. I want you to sneak into the home of that pompous bastard Prince Blueblood and END HIS LIFE! My sister, Luna, has accused him of raping her, and I performed the Black Sacrament. If you successfully kill Blueblood, and bring me his horn as proof of his death, I shall pay you 5000 bits."
With a murderous grin on his face, Shadowmere said, "Very well Princess Celestia, I shall report this to my superior, and I shall make haste to Blueblood's home tomorrow night."
Shadowmere then proceeded to walk back to the entrance of the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary. Since he has spoken the phrase to the Black Door on his first entry into the Sanctuary, the Door recognized him and allowed him to enter without speaking the passphrase. Astrid was waiting by the entrance, and she said, "Well? Who was the pony who wanted to meet you? And who is the contract for?"
Shadowmere replied with, "You will not believe this. The pony who wished to meet me was Princess Celestia herself! She told me that the contract was a pony named Prince Blueblood, and that he was accused of raping her sister Luna."
Astrid had a look of surprise on her face, and she replied with, "Incredible! Our first contract, and already we're going after royalty?! This world is ripe for the picking! Tomorrow morning, I shall visit that pony named Rarity and have her fashion a set of Dark Brotherhood armor for you. We cannot have you on the job unprotected, and you need something to keep your identitiy secret."
The next morning, Astrid and Shadowmere walked to Carousel Boutique. "Let me get the door for you Astrid." said Shadowmere. Shadowmere opened the door with his hoof, a bell ringing as it opened.
"Thank you Shadowmere." said Astrid.
Rarity heard the bell ring, and she walked up to the entrance of her shop, and she saw Shadowmere and Astrid there. "Hello Astrid! Hello Shadowmere! Welcome to Carousel Boutique!"
"Good morning Rarity," said Astrid, "I require your services. You see, Shadowmere is in need of a new set of clothes, and I need you to make a set of clothes for him. I brought a set of mine for you to use as a base." Astrid then laid her set of Dark Brotherhood armor on Rarity's workspace.
"I'll see what I can do!" said Rarity. From out of nowhere, she pulled out a tape to take measurements of Shadowmere, and she wrote down the measurements on her business notepad. She then proceeded to take Astrid's armor and put it on a mannequin so she could see what it looked like on a pony. "The design of this armor is simply FABULOUS! Although, I think that maybe this seems a bit more stealth oriented rather than the typical armor that I've seen on the Royal Guards. I'll get straight to work on making Shadowmere's armor now!"
With a flourish of light from Rarity's horn, a vast assortment of sewing tools and fabrics the same color as Astrid's armor came out from a closet. Rarity then manipulated these tools so that the fabrics were cut, sewn, and put together in a similar manner as the appearance of Astrid's armor, but to suit Shadowmere's measurements. After 5 minutes, the entire suit was completed, and Rarity gave out a victorious "Voila!" She then had Shadowmere put the armor on in the changing room, and when he came out, he looked, as Rarity put it, "Dashing, but deadly!"
Shadowmere moved around a bit in the armor to get used to it. Then he took a look at himself in the mirror. "it's perfect," he said, "But how should I pay you?"
Rarity then said, "Oh please! This one's on the house! Although next time you need some new clothes, I'll be wanting payment."
Shadowmere said, "Thank you Ms. Rarity. Your generosity only rivals your beauty."
At this statement, Rarity's face blushed so red that it looked as if roses had bloomed on her face. "Why thank you, you handsome rogue!" said Rarity. "Also, here's your armor back Astrid."
"Thank you Rarity." said Astrid.
"Have a nice day you two!"
"You too Ms. Rarity." said Shadowmere.
Astrid and Shadowmere then left Carousel Boutique and started to head back to the sanctuary. Along the way back, they discussed how Shadowmere would go about his contract on Blueblood's head. "I shall sneak into his house late at night, and I shall slit his throat while he sleeps."

((Update: 7/27/2014 I'm sorry to say this, but this story is officially cancelled. I know that some of you people liked it, but I just don't have the drive, skill, or creativity to continue this story. I hope that someone can either continue this story, or revise it and make it the masterpiece that I had hoped it would be.))
