A mysterious letter from the Princess sends Twilight, Spike and the rest of the mane 6 trough a dangerous journey in the Everfree Forest. Their destination? A spot that none of them knew about in a wild region of the nearby mountainside. Their path is more dangerous than they realize and what's more, Spike is pushed into introspection as to what a dragon is doing among ponies.

About the cover: I've made the cover image myself and it's sort of the first thing I've made really MLP related. I'd welcome anyone helping me improve it, even if only by (constructive) suggestions.

Update: I am putting the story on hiatus. I have a smaller project going and the story needs an overhaul. However, I plan on putting up a new, non-ugly cover image (as opposed to the thing that you can currently scare away small children with) and chapter 2.
