What did twilight and fluttershy do to end up here?
When Twilight's magic goes horribly wrong, Fluttershy gets sent to a dark place deep in the past. But being the friend that Twilight is she decides to reopen the portal and go after Fluttershy and they end up on a long adventure to get back to Ponyville.

What Happens....... Happens?
Our story begins with Twilight asking our good friend Fluttershy to help her try out a new spell. Fluttershy: "I don't feel very safe doing this Twilight.." Twilight: "Its okay Fluttershy everything should go perfectly." Fluttershy: "If you say so.." But little did they know that what they were about to go through that night. Twilight: "Okay Fluttershy here goes nothing.." The spell Twilight was trying to use did what it was suppose to but she sorta messed up. The spell was suppose to send Fluttershy back to Twilight's front door but instead it went horribly wrong and sent Fluttershy to one of the worst places she would ever see. Twilight sent Fluttershy to the middle of the Great pony war of last century. The thing that made this so horrible to Fluttershy wasn't the fact that it was war, it was that every tree for miles had been burned down and we all know that Fluttershy loves tree and animals. So to here that hurt her little heart horribly.
Twilight now freaking out because she has no idea what happened to one of her best friends. The only thing she could think to do is use a spell to talk to Fluttershy no matter where she is. After using the spell Twilight was able to make contact with Fluttershy who as expected was scared as heck. In a quick fuss Fluttershy just screamed get me out of here nowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. The only thing was Twilight had no idea where here was. But she had an idea after calming Fluttershy down she asked her what is going on around her? But to her surprise Fluttershy responded with the most scary thing Twilight had ever heard..... WAR.
After getting Fluttershy to explain the entire story Twilight came to the same conclusion that was stated earlier Fluttershy didn't get just teleported to a different place but a different time period. Fluttershy was put into one of the most horrifying place and time in Equestria's history. She was right in the middle of the Great Pony War. If the war was real in human history it would be another WW2. this war killed more animals and ponies then anything in pony history. Twilight now even more frantic than before tells Fluttershy, " Ill find a way to get to you if it kills me i promise, but in the mean time i need more info of where and when you are is there anyone around you that you can talk to?" Fluttershy: "Ill look Twilight but can you please make it quick." Twilight: "I'll get there as soon as i can find out where you are." After sending off Fluttershy to find her location Twilight went to work to try to send herself back in time as well.
After Twilight left Fluttershy went off to such for some people but she wasn't prepaid for what she was about to see. After what seemed like miles Fluttershy came across something she wish she hadn't. After walking for so long Fluttershy came across what seemed like a military camp but lucky for her is was indeed a pegasus and unicorn encampment. At this period of time the Great War was going on. The Great War was between the Pegasus unicorn group v.s the Earth ponies. The earth ponies had major issues with the unicorns and pegasus ponies because they thought that they were to different and didn't want anything to do them so they cut off all supplies including food and water. This started a giant fight that got way out of hand and started a war which then become and labeled "The Great War." And Poor old Kind Fluttershy is stuck right in the middle of it.
Chapter 2 "Within the Camp"

Now that Fluttershy has been on her own for so long she's starting to realize that she doesn't really have much to fear but that the earth ponies mite find her. The fact is she's already near a friendly encampment. All she has to do is cross no mans land to get to the camp, but there is one problem, No one every crosses no mans land. It seem that Fluttershy needs to buck up and be brave. If she ever wants to get home she will have to do somethings she has never done before. She will have to be brave, assertive, and all else a bad ass for once in her life. Fluttershy now determined to get back to Ponyville Decides that she will have to be Brave and cross.
Once on the battlefield she realizes that there is nothing going on, it is completely silent. For Now... Little does Fluttershy know what she just did. The reason it was so quite was that they had a momentary cease fire. The moment she set foot in now mans land all hell broke lose. The fact that Fluttershy being a Pegasus and on the land broke the pact currently in place. This sent the battle back to life and magic and nature was basic flying everywhere. The main reason that the Unicorns were helping the Pegasus ponies is because the earth pony don't like them and think they are selfish money grubbers. Not saying this isn't true but the earth ponies have there faults as well. So to settle a grudge the Unicorns sided with the Pegasus.
The biggest issue now is that where Fluttershy was leaving was not ideal. She had be on the Earth Pony side and had to get all the way to the other side to get to what she thinks will be a warm welcome being a Pegasus in all, but she's for a rude awaking. As she runs as fast as she can across the battlefield she hears a very loud Voice yell "Charge." In what seem like a sec a large force of Unicorn are in no mans land headed right for her. Fluttershy very surprised, stops died in her tracks. As the unicorns get closer and closer and closer another load voice come over all the noise, " Attention all Pegasus there is one of are kind stuck in the middle of no mans the pony how can get her out of there gets a raise." As soon as the load speaker cut out Fluttershy show a Fast shadow bolt state at her.
She closed her eyes afraid of what was about to happen. In a matter of seconds Fluttershy was unaware that she was now hundreds of feet in the air. When she opened her eyes she was sitting in a chair in what seem to be a tent. To her surprise though she wasn't alone. A shadowy figure stud just feet away with what looked like an black feather in mouth. Fluttershy: "um hello....?" The shadowy figure then moves slowly forward.Soon Fluttershy was able to see the face of the pony. She knew it was a man but had no idea who he was. The figure state is name as being The Shadow because that is what everyone calls him. Well named because of his speed and grace of which he flies, hes there one second gone the next. Shadow spoke softly to her, " What were you doing out there trying to get yourself killed, you do know this is war right?"
