The light blue pegasus gasped. Tears building up in his bright green eyes, which were shrunk to the size of pin tips. His mind exploded with fear and dismay. No. Was all he repeated in his head.

"Nononono. You're lying. You're lying to me." He croaked. However, the four mares shook their heads. Tears streamed down the purple alicorn's cheek. She closed her eyes so she didn't have to see Soarin. The amber earth pony held her tatty hat to her chest. Also with her eyes closed. A pearl unicorn stood by a tall midnight blue alicorn. Both with pained expressions. The stallion in front of them was crying for his love. The pony who made his heart shine. Who made it flutter. Now, she was gone. And he couldn't do anything to help.

"We are very sorry, Soarin. So very sorry." Rarity tried to comfort the crying pegasus stallion, but with no hope. He continued to cry for the cyan mare.

"She promised. She promised she'll come back. To be with me. I want her back!" He wailed. The mares couldn't handle it. This poor soul was heart broken. The very pony who made him smile was gone. He attempted to get up, but was gently pushed down by a light blue aura.

"Please Soarin. I know....I know you love Rainbow very very much. But you must rest. Your heart is not getting any better." The unicorn soothed. But it only made the stallion wail.

"So I'm going to die? And Rainbow won't even be here?! I want to see her! I want to be with her!!" He pulled out the the wires of that where connected up to machines beside him. Causing them to beep manically. He tried to jump out of the bed but two shades of blue and purple magic held him down.

"Soarin! Calm down!" Princess Luna demanded. But the stallion didn't hear any of it.

"No. I've got to go. I've got to get Rainbow." He waved his arms and flapped his large injured wings in attempt to get out of the hospital bed. A caramel stallion trotted into the room and tried to reconnect the loose wires.

"Mr Soarin. Please. You are not fit enough to be moving around. Your heart will give out." He explained. But it didn't stop the pegasus. Soarin flapped his aching wings.

"Soarin Skies!!" Twilight screamed through her tears. Making everypony suddenly stop. "Please!! I understand....I understand you're upset, but trying to kill yourself won't do anything!!" She yelled. Soarin blinked and slowly sat back onto the hospital bed. His chest heaving with pain. The doctor next to him began to reconnect the wires. He nodded, whispered to Rarity abd trotted away. Not wanting to intrude in their affairs.

The room was silent. Tears poured freely from the young alicorn's eyes.
"Soarin. I know you love Rainbow Dash. We all do. But there's nothing we can do. I too love Rainbow. As sister. She's protective, funny, confident. When I first met her, I could never understand her. How she would always grin despite anything. And she was always there for anypony. I remember when I first realised that Rainbow was nothing but a shell. It was when she became cocky. And over ambitious. So we pretended to be a new pony. Mare-do-well. To show Rainbow how much of a show off she was. I saw how hurt she looked when we told her it was us. I believe the reason she became a show off was because as an assassin, nopony loves you. Everypony fears and hates you. So all Rainbow wanted was to be recognised. And to be loved by everypony.

Thank you, Soarin." She smiled to the weak stallion.

"Huh?"

"Thank you. You have made my friend's, our friend's life so much better. Just by being there for her. Thank you, Soarin. And I'll do anything to help you."

The room was silent yet again. Only the sound of breathing and the mechanical beeps of the hospital items. Tears rolled down the stallion's cheeks. He wanted to be with Rainbow. He wanted her. To see her. To hold her. But now she's been tossed back in that horrible place.

The very place where they first kissed. Where they had ignited that flame of passion and love.

"Oh Rainbow. Why? Why you?" He whispered through his tears.

~~~~~~
"Ah!" The screams of a young mare filled the dank room and halls. Her pain filled screams. Blood dripped from her mouth as she was constantly beaten. Her wings were ragged and bloody. Fresh scars were marked across her delicate body, seeping with blood. A stallion cackled as he tortured the poor soul. There was a small and simple crack of bones as he kicked at the mares blood stained wing. Making her cry again.
"I am loving this." The unicorn grinned as he wiped the blood off his hooves.
"S-s-sick bastard." The mare croaked. Spluttering blood from her mouth. She glared at the unicorn. But he only laughed.
"Stupid mare. You are to address me as master. And only master. You are only to speak when spoken to."
"F-f-fuck yo-u." She replied. There was the sound of a crack. The mare cried out again. Making the evil unicorn grin. He loved every second of this. Beating this mare, this assassin until she was nothing but a shadow. However, she wasn't giving up so easily. But he didn't mind this. A feisty mare with a firey attitude. It only made him grin. He could smash this mare so hard. And when she was finally his loyal slave, he could finally prove to his brother's that he was something.
He smiled as he set his items of torture onto the table beside him. Blood dripped from the table. Slipping off the various objects. Scarlet stained knives. Red soaked whips. Blood coated chains. Flicker hummed to himself as he undid the chains around the pegasus mare's legs. Then he carefully removed the ropes, holding her wings out. His dark magic surrounded the bloody chain around her neck. Slowly, he looked up at the mare. His own firey eyes meeting her glaring yet sparkling rose eyes. Her dirtied locks of multi-hued hair, hanging over her face. Blood seeped from a small cut on her cheek, where the whip had pierced her skin as he madly lashed his favourite toy. He carefully watched as the deep scarlet red liquid trickled down her grubby cyan fur. He lent over and opened his mouth. Rainbow could feel the stallion's warm breath upon her skin. She winced as his tongue stroked her gash. Flicker stepped back and licked his lips.
"You're blood tastes good. Sweet almost. Just like you." He hissed. The mare growled in reply. The unicorn only smirked as he took off the chain around her neck. But as he placed the chains aside, he was suddenly flung into the table. Allsorted objects fell onto him as the table smashed into small pieces.
The mare attempted to buck the door down, but instead, threw a large unknown item. It was a large hunk of metal. With screws sticking out. Rainbow really didn't care for the details as she threw it at the flimsy wooden door. Splinters of dark brown wood flew exploded.
Flicker groggily stood up. Cuts and marks across his back from the tools that fell on him. As soon as his eyes focused on his surroundings, a small chunk of wood hit him across the face. He yelled out in pain as the jaggered debris pierced his skin. The mare hopped out of the room and began to gallop away. Limping slightly as her front hoof was gushing blood. Her ears twitched as she heard numerous sounds. Flicker yelling. A stallion screaming in pain. A mare wailing for her freedom. Cackles. And the sounds of clunking metal. She also heard hoof steps. The assassin shut her eyes tight. Before opening them yet again. However, her sight was different now. Sharper. Clearer. Despite the eerie darkness of the corridors, she could see every single detail. Scratches in the wall. Dried blood on the ground. Moss growing on the sides. She turned her head as she saw Flicker galloping after her. Along with several guards.
Suddenly, she heard hoof steps coming towards her. Not from behind, but from head on. She quickly turned her head to be only met with the sight of light violet.
A mare yelped out. And feathers floated into the air. Light blue and lavender. There was a clatter of metal as a golden and pink object fell to the dirty floor. Both mares lay in a confused heap, surrounded by loose feathers, as the guards and Flicker trotted up.
"Wait...what?" He gasped as stared at the pony who crashed into the assassin. Suddenly, the guards dropped their weapons and bowed as soon as they recognised the pony.
The violet purple pony blinked several times before regaining her eye sight. Below her, was a sky blue pegasus mare with a colourful mane. Stained with blood and dirt. Her dark purple eyes snapped open.
"Rainbow?" She croaked.
