Twilight Sparkle's Vacation Memoir
Day 0
Dear Princess Celestia,
I've decided to start up a journal detailing the week-long ocean cruise we're about to take and the life lessons we will no doubt learn along the way. At one point about halfway through the trip the ship will pass by the outmost edge of the Bermooda Triangle! I'm hoping to see some of the strange magic wonders that occur there sporadically. I really can't thank you enough for giving me those six tickets for this trip. I'm glad that this time you gave me enough tickets for all my friends to go. I don't know what I would do if another little episode like last time happened again! I think that's all the writing for tonight since its getting late and I still need to triple-check that I have everything packed. Good night!
Twilight Sparkle's Vacation Memoir
Day 1
I can't believe it! It's only been the first day and my friends and I are already having much more fun than we could ever have expected! We left early in the morning and traveled to Seasonvale where the cruiser was docked. We were almost late because of Pinkie Pie, who attempted to tell everypony she met that we were going on a vacation and that we were going to be partying twenty-four seven.. It also doesn't help that Seasonvale is such a big town. The streets were fairly crowded even in the early hours of the morning. We were stopping every ten feet waiting for Pinkie Pie to catch up.
The trip was a bit longer than expected, but we all got aboard the ship without too much trouble and departed for the Bermooda Triangle around noon. The food was amazing, but I didn't eat very much since Pinkie Pie took the "all you can eat buffet" literally, and literally ate almost all the food. I was almost afraid the captain would issue a rationing of the remaining food on the ship!
After lunch, we went swimming in a huge pool on the second deck of the ship. It had two slides, a high dive, and a large hot tub as well. I sat in the hot tub and watched Rainbow Dash as she performed the most spectacular dives I have ever seen anypony pull off. After a while, everypony was tired from all the swimming, so we went to bed right after supper. As I was walking back to my room I found the ship's library. I know I had planned on going to bed right away, but books! They kept me up reading late into the night. When I realized how late it actually was, I decided to write this brief summary of the days events. It's getting late, and I'm getting sleepy. Good night, again!
<><><><><>
Twilight awoke suddenly feeling sick to her stomach. She quickly tossed off the bed sheets and rushed to the lady's room. After a few minutes, Twilight staggered out and shakily sat down beside her bed. Since she had felt well all throughout the day yesterday, she had hoped she wouldn't get sea sick but, her hopes were flushed down the toilet.
Her roommate for the trip, Rarity, mumbled something intelligible and then sat up. She looked over and saw a green-faced Twilight, who was sprawled out on the ground beside her bed.
"Twilight! You look just terrible! What happened?!"
With an effort, Twilight replied, "Sea sick."
"Oh, you poor dear!" Rarity cried. "Is there anything I can do to help?"
Twilight thought for a moment and then felt a bit better when she remembered something from a book, "Boating for Equestrians," that included a spell that would cure sea sickness. "Actually I think there was something in a book I read. I wrote it down on a piece of paper, just in case. It should be somewhere in my bags."
Twilight attempted to stand, but, after taking a few shaky steps, fell back down.
"Here, Twilight, let me get it." Rarity walked over to Twilight's bags and searched through them one at a time until she came upon the scrap of paper. She quickly recited the simple spell and looked at Twilight to see if it worked.
Twilight let out a relieved sigh, "Oh! Thank you, Rarity! I'm feeling better already!" She then sprung up and looked toward the door. "Now, why don't we check and see if the others are awake yet?"
<><><><><>
Thirty minutes after another amazing meal -that Pinkie inhaled just like the last- the six friends decided to go swimming one more time before exploring the rest of the ship. After three hour of exercise and fun, everypony was pooped. As they enter the cafeteria for lunch, the captain addressed the passengers over the intercom.
"Hello, everypony, and welcome to the thirty-first voyage of the 'Spring Daisy!' I hope you are all enjoying your cruise so far! Today, at three, we will be docking in the port town of Sunny Shores. The ship will depart at eight, so have fun exploring the local vacation spots and shops, but make sure your back with plenty of time to spare. Till then, enjoy yourselves!"
The over-com's speakers cut out and the babble of the other vacationers quickly overtook the silence. The six friend's voices wove into the crowds and they discussed the many options that lay before them in just a few hours.
Rainbow Dash was probably the pony most excited about this stop and voiced her opinion first. "I want to go see the Ace Typhoons! They're the best flying squad this side of the hemisphere!"
"You just read' that from the flyer." replied Applejack.
"So? What if I did?"
"So nothin'. I was just saying that you shouldn't take some advertisement's word for it. It's much better to know the truth with your own eyes."
"And that's exactly what I'm gonna do." Rainbow Dash replied matter-o-factly. "What are you planning on doing, Applejack?"
"Well, I have a friend I want ta visit. Her name's Daylah and she owns a banana farm on the edge of town."
Pinkie Pie threw a hoof around Fluttershy and smiled a wide smile. "We're going on a island safari to see all the cool wildlife in their natural habitat! And that's not even the best part." Pinkie Lie waited for a dramatic pause. "There's also a tasty snack of ALL the local dishes."
Everypony listened politely as Pinkie listed off a long list of all the local cuisine that was available. Twilight went on to say she was going to visit a celebrated magic school to see if she could gleam any information or spells from the professors who taught there. Rarity praised a famous fashion designer who made her home and hats in Sunny Shores. Rarity was going to learn some new and stylish sewing techniques which she could use back in Ponyville. As Rarity finished gushing over the designer, the "Spring Daisy's" whistle sounded and everypony crammed together at the window to view the idyllic town of Sunny Shores.
The town's tall white buildings reflected in the calm waters of the crystal clear bay. A long white beach stretched from one side of the island to the other. A plethora of rainbow-colored umbrellas dotted the beach as a few ponies lazily surfed the mild waves. Everypony was amazed at the wonder and size of the town until the ship docked in the harbor. Then, there was a clamor as everypony rushed down the boardwalks eager to make sure that not a single minute was wasted in this glorious city.
<><><><><>
The Ace Typhoons!
Those three words sent a shiver down the length of Rainbow Dash's spine. If there was any group that could have any chance of rivaling the Wonder Bolts, it would be them. They were a small group with only three members but, what they lacked in numbers they exceeded greatly in skill, speed, strength, and stamina. Applejack had no idea how good these guys really were.
Rainbow Dash jumped on the city bus and quickly paid the fair. As the bus rolled out of the station, she daydreamed about the possibility of meeting the Pony Typhoons. Maybe she could even show off a bit, and then, they would be impressed and she would hang out with them for the rest of her time in Sunny Shores.
As with most daydreams, Rainbow Dash's led to sleep which then led to her missing her stop for the Ace Typhoons, which led to her missing the Ace Typhoons. She awoke to the bus driver nudging her.
He looked at her with a touch of pity and asked, "Where are you planning' on getting off, miss?"
"Huh..?" Rainbow Dash said as she looked around groggily. "Hey!" she exclaimed as she realized what had happened. "Where am I? What time is it? Where are the Ace Typhoons?"
"Well, your at a gas station a ways down the road from the coliseum. I saw you back here and wondered if you missed your stop since you fell asleep. And," He then glanced down at a watch on his right hoof and continued, "it's four o' clock."
"Three o' clock?" Rainbow Dash dumbly repeated. "Four o' clock?!" She let out a whine of frustration. The air show ended at Four o' clock. She has missed her one chance to see the Ace Typhoons in concert!
"Here," the bus driver said, feeling sorry for her. "Why don't I let you off here, free of charge. It's only a small ways back to town. I gotta continue on my route, so I can't take you back, even though I wish I could."
Rainbow Dash glumly nodded in agreement, exited the bus, and watched as it sped away kicking up a cloud of brown dirt. She turned around and quickly headed back down the road. Since her day was already ruined, she decided to make the best of what she had left. There has to be something else interesting in Sunny Shores that didn't involve flying.
And, indeed there was. At the movies, Rainbow Dash was shocked to see that "Daring Doo: The Quest for the Emerald Horn" had already been release here. It wouldn't be available for a couple more months in Ponyville! So, with popcorn in hoof, she quickly forgot about the Ace Typhoons that were replaces by the action and antics of Daring Doo.
<><><><><>
Applejack jumped off the bus eager to meet Daylah, her old friend. They had been friends in school when Daylah had been part of the foreign-exchange-student program for a year. They wrote occasionally to and fro since then but, it had slowed down these last few years. Both where busier and busier on their respective farms. Now that Applejack was in the area, though, she decided to stop in and catch up. As the dust from the bus cleared the figure of a brown mare became visible through the brown haze.
"Hey Daylah! Long time no see!" Applejack said as she trotted toward her old friend.
"I could say the same. How are things doing over in Ponyville? Not getting into too much trouble, are we?" Daylah teased.
"Heh," Applejack gave a short laugh, "not like before, no. How's everything goin' for you on the plantation?"
"Well," Daylah hesitated, "now that you ask I have to say 'not too good.' We've been having an extremely dry drought over the last month. The weather team here has no explanation for it or any way to fix it. It's quite strange..."
"Now that you mention it," Applejack stamped a hoof against the ground and watched as a small cloud of dirt rose into the air, "it does seem really dry. I wonder what's behind it?"
"Beats me." replied Daylah. She then replied in a slightly devious voice, "But we could look into it!"
"Oh no," Applejack shook her head. "We are not doin' that again. Remember that last 'investigation' we took three weeks 'fore ya left Ponyville? I had to fix up the barn for a whole month before it was back in workin' condition."
"Luckily, we don't have a barn here." the other pony replied as she grinned. Both ponies laughed and decided that one more sleuthing adventure wouldn't hurt, especially for old-times sake.
<><><><><>
Fluttershy was having a much better time than she had expected with Pinkie Pie. At first, she thought that's Pinkie's constant antics would scare away the timid wildlife, but that wasn't the case. The wildlife wasn't scared and it definitely wasn't timid. Most of the animals would walk right up to the safari carriage and ear bits of food from everypony's hoofs. The animals came in all sorts of shapes and sizes, from toucans and monkeys to sharks and dolphins. Pinkie Pie was especially thrilled when she saw a small group of ferocious full-grown alligators. Fluttershy was worried they might scare Pinkie Pie into getting rid of Gummy, but again, Fluttershy was wrong about her friend.
After an hour of amazed watching, the safari stopped for a snack. One of the guides fired up a compact round grill while another got out bags of tomatoes, carrots, onions, and green peppers. The ponies feasted on shish-kabobs as they talked excitedly about their favorite animals. After Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy got their food they sat down beside a heavy-set grey stallion.
Fluttershy recognized him from the seat next to theirs on the safari carriage. He had had a nervous aura surrounding him, as well as a snug fitting business suit with a red tie. It seemed like any loud noise would send him running for the hills. He also acted slightly distracted, as if he had other things on his mind than enjoying himself.
Pinkie Pie started up a conversation with the stranger, as she would with anypony. "So, how are you enjoying the safari?"
The stallion was staring intently at a clearing behind him as if he were contemplating something or other. He turned his head toward Pinkie Pie when he realized she was talking to him.
"Oh," he said in an almost nervous voice. "It's very nice." Then he turned his head back to stare at the clearing again.
"What's your name, um... um, Mr...?" Fluttershy asked as her voice wavered slightly.
The pony let out an abrupt sigh and turned his full body around to face the two mares. "My names Steel, Ray Steel."
"Watcha do for a job, Mr. Steel?"
"Why do you ask?" Mr. Steel snapped back quickly.
"Um," Fluttershy interjected cautiously, "I think my friend was asking because of how your dressed. It's not the most comfortable apparel for a safari expedition. That is unless you like it. Then I guess it's ok."
The stallion sighed again, except this time it was in a more tired and worn out tone. "I'm sorry, I'm just feeling extremely uptight at the moment. You see, I'm looking for some land to buy for a farming project I have planned but, it seems nopony is willing to sell around here."
Just as Mr. Steel finished, the tour guides asked everypony to return to the safari carriages so they could continue on their way. Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy sat at their original spots, but, Mr. Steel sat in an empty seat far in the back, away from the two inquisitive ponies. Fluttershy thought that this was a bit odd. Her thoughts were quickly bumped away from the matter as the carriage gave a slight jolt and pulled out of the campground.

When Twilight Sparkle arrived at the school the thing that amazed her most of all was, of course, the library. It was quite grand, stretching five stories high and at least double that wide. A giant gold fountain in the shape of a leaping fish stood in the middle of the reflective marble floor. Twelve columns, with six on each side, stood in the spacious room holding up the high values ceiling. A few unicorns were sitting at round wooden tables reading large volumes of books. Twilight recognized one of the ponies from her previous background search of the school. The unicorn wore small white glasses that barely covered her eyes. She also had a matching white mane and a light blue coat.
"Hello there, Professor Higgins." Twilight said in a hushed voice as she trotted over to the mare.
"Greetings to you, too. I take it your Twilight Sparkle?"
Twilight nodded. "Yes, that's right."
"Yes, Princess Celestia informed me that you might visit today to take a look around. I'll show you around the library, since we're here already."
Professor Higgins showed Twilight around the vast library. After about thirty minutes a young grey unicorn came up and stood to the side politely as she waited for the Professor to finish her sentence.
"Hello, Professor Higgins. I was just wanting to inform you that I will be leaving work early today. Mr. Steel needs me to help out with a farming project of his."
"Oh, don't worry, Silver Fatigue, you're such a hard worker and you deserve some time off. It won't be a busy day today, anyway. Good luck on your project, especially in this heat drought."
"Thank you." Silver Fatigue curtsied before quickly trotting out of the library.
"That was one of our librarians, you see." explained Professor Higgins. "She just started only a week ago, but, she is already one of our hardest workers."
Another pony came up and whispered something to the Professor.
"Really?" exclaimed Ms. Higgins. "I thought I told Opaque specifically not to mix the red and the blue together! Doesn't she know how much of a mess that created last time?"
She looked apologetically at Twilight. "I'm really sorry, Twilight, but I have to go fix this. I wish I didn't have to cut your tour short. Your welcome to wander around the campus, though, and talk to anypony you meet."
Twilight thanked her and left the library. On the way out she saw the mare, Silver Fatigue, glance around before hustling down a side street. Twilight noticed that a book fell out of the other pony's saddle bags. She rushed to the book and picked it up.
"Hey, you dropped your..."
She turned down the alley, but was surprised to find that the grey mare was nowhere in sight. Twilight trotted down it and out onto the other side off the street right into Rarity. Both ponies fell down and the contents of the Rarity's three bags spilled out across the pavement.
"Im so sorry, Rarity! I didn't see you there." Twilight rushed to help pick up her friend's purchases.
"It quite all right, really Twilight. It was my fault for not looking where I was going."
"Where ARE you going?" questioned Twilight. "I thought you were going to visit that famous designer."
"Oh, I was on my way there, but then I realized I had nothing of my own to show to her. So, I decided to buy some supplies and whip something up right before her very own eyes. She'll be so impressed!" Then Rarity saw the book Twilight was carrying. "Is that a new book you're reading?"
"Oh, this here?" Twilight replied. "Actually, a mare dropped it and I was going to give it back to her but she disappeared. Did you happen to see her? She was a unicorn with a grey coat."
"Hm." Rarity thought for a moment. "No, I don't remember seeing a pony who resembles that. Sorry Twilight. Anyway, I better be on my way. See you back on the ship!"
And with that, Rarity blended into the crowd and was gone.
Twilight raised the book to her eyes and read the title out loud. "How to Control Weather: Volume 3."
"That's odd..." Twilight thought to herself. "What would a unicorn want with a book on controlling the weather?"
Twilight decided that she would solve this mystery before she had to return to the boat in a few hours.
<><><><><>
"So," Applejack questioned. "Where do we start?"
Daylah laughed. "I was kinda wondering that myself. I guess we should start asking around town if anypony has any answers. I'm almost one hundred percent sure this is no natural event."
"So you think somepony is intentionally causing this drought? Why would they do that? Don't they know everypony will be hurtin' because of this?"
"I'm not sure," Daylah admitted. "But I'm pretty sure I know where we can get some information!"
After taking the bus into town, Daylah and Applejack went to the school's library. They searched through shelf after shelf of books covering all parts of weather, but, they couldn't find anything on controlling the rain. Applejack asked one of the librarians if they had such a book. The librarian went over to a thick binder and flipped through the pages until she came across the section on weather books. She returned to Applejack and told her that one book concentrating of condensing cloud cover had been checked out only an hour before. Applejack thanked the mare and searched for Daylah so she could inform her friend of the clue.
"Daylah," Applejack said excitedly. "I found something that I think is useful!"
"Well, that makes two of us!" replied Daylah in an equally exited voice. Both ponies quickly explained their discoveries to each other and then contemplated their next move.
"Heh," Applejack grinned. "This is just like old times!"
<><><><><>
As Rainbow Dash left the movie theatre, she noticed a safari carriage roll to a stop on the other side of the street. Remembering that Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy had gone on a safari, she watched eagerly to see if her friends would be getting off this bus. She didn't have to wait long till her pink and yellow friends got off. Just as she was about to take off to greet them, she froze.
There, at the back of the bus, was Sneaky Bullet; Daring Doo's evil arch nemesis from the movie! At least, it looked like him. He had a similar gray coat and black business suit with a red tie. Rainbow Dash shook her head as she tried to get the thought out of her mind. He was just a fictional character from a movie, nothing more. Still, maybe she had better follow him. He seemed kinda slimy or secretive or something. Without further ado, Rainbow Dash took to the roof tops and followed the gray pony in the suit.
<><><><><>
"Hey! Rainbow Dash, Rainbow Dash!"
Pinkie Pie stopped jumping and waving as she realized her friend didn't hear her. She watched as Rainbow Dash flew to the top of a building before becoming lost from view.
"I wonder if Rainbow Dash liked the air show." Fluttershy wondered out loud.
"Nope! She didn't go!" Pinkie replied happily.
"What do you mean? She said she was going to the Ace Typhoons' show."
"Sure she said she was going, but," Pinkie pointed to a poster of Daring Doo outside the movie theatre. "She went to that instead."
"Are you sure? I didn't think Rainbow Dash would miss them for anything."
"I'm sure I'm sure. This is Rainbow Dash we're talking about. That," Pinkie Pie pointed again to the poster, "Is Daring Doo."
"Yeah, I guess you're right." The only thing that could rival anything related to flying would have to be Daring Doo. "So, what do you want to do now? We still have a few hours before we need to head back to the ship."
"I don't know about you, but I'm hungry. Let's go eat some ice cream!"
<><><><><>
Twilight searched for Silver Fatigue for more than hour, but she couldn't find the mare anywhere. Just as she was starting to lose hope she spotted a silver coated mare sitting under an umbrella eating at a small cafe on the corner of the street. Twilight rushed over, glad to finally get the book back into its rightful hooves.
"I'm so glad I found you!" Twilight said breathlessly as she trotted up.
"Pardon me?" Silver Fatigue asked. Then, a glimmer of recognition flashed through her eyes. "Wait, I remember you. Didn't I see you at the campus' library?"
"That's right. I left shortly after you and saw that you dropped this book here and-"
"Give me that!" the pony exclaimed as she snatched the book out of Twilight's hooves. "Oh, erm..." she commented as she realized how rude she had been. "I'm sorry. I just didn't realized I dropped this and it's a very important book to me. I'm under a lot of stress right now, so I apologize again for snapping like that."
"Don't worry," Twilight smiled. "I understand that perfectly well. I have some books that are important to me too!"
"Ah," Silver awkwardly replied. "Yes. Anyways, I better be on my way. Thanks for finding the book."
And with that, Silver got up out of her chair and quickly faded into the crowd.
"Hey Twilight! How are you doing?!"
Pinkie Pie came bounding around the corner with Fluttershy not far behind.
"Hey Pinkie Pie! Hey Fluttershy! How was the safari?"
"The shish-kabobs were great!"
"The animals were all just so adorable!"
"Well, it sounds like you both had a fun time."
"Yeah, we did." then Pinkie's face grew somber. "But I don't think Mr. Steel enjoyed himself to well."
Twilight's ears perked up at the name Mr. Steel. "Who did you say?"
"Mr. Steel! He seemed pretty nice. Though, he looked kind of stressed out about something," Fluttershy explained.
Twilight put a hoof to her chin. "Mr. Steel. Mr. Steel. Where have I heard that name before..."
"Duh!" Pinkie exclaimed. "From me, like, just a second ago!"
"That's where!" Twilight remembered. "Silver Fatigue mentioned him back at the library; something about farming. I wonder if she needs any help with whatever she's dealing with."
The three ponies decided that they should go find Silver Fatigue and help her out with whatever stressful situation she was in. But first, Pinkie Pie needed some pineapple ice cream.
<><><><><>
"So," Applejack said as she stood in front of one of the school's many chalkboards. "Let's go over what we have so far." She pointed a hoof at a large number "one" written on the board. "A pony named 'Silver Fatigue' came in a little over an hour ago and checked out a book on controlling clouds through magic."
"And number 'two,'" Daylah added as she walked up to the board. "A businesspony, 'Mr. Ray Steel, came here about a month ago asking if anypony wanted to sell their land. Everypony politely declined -including me-, and, a few days after that, it stopped raining."
"So, suspect number one is Mr. Steel." concluded Applejack. "Were do we find him?"
<><><><><>
Rainbow Dash continued to follow her suspicion and tailed Mr. Steel for about a mile until he stopped at a small hotel. It was an ordinary hotel, but to Rainbow Dash it appeared extremely sinister. She contemplated wether his evil headquarters would be located on the top floor or in the basement.
"Hm..." she scratched her chin. "In the movie Sneaky's evil lair was located at the top of the building... I better check it out!"
Rainbow Dash took off silently and flew straight for a window looking into the highest floor of the building. She misjudged the distance and ended up crashing through the window and landing right on top of one Mr. Ray Steel.
<><><><><>
Twilight's, Fluttershy's , and Pinkie Pie's searching led them to a small hotel. The friends questioned one bell colt who said he saw a gray stallion enter the hotel only a few minutes ago, and before that, a gray mare. The friends entered, ready to find Silver and help her out to the best of their abilities.
Inside, they found an empty lobby full of yellow chairs. There was a run down elevated with an "Out of Order" sign stretched across the door. Fluttershy noticed a stairway to the right of the elevator leading up. The three ponies rushed up the stairs and checked every floor. Once on the top floor, they heard a loud crash that issued from a room to their left. They hurried inside to find Rainbow Dash, a gray pony who was not Silver Fatigue, and Silver Fatigue.
<><><><><>
Applejack and Daylah spent the past hour and a half on a wild goose chase from one part of town to the other. Tired and irritated, the two ponies stopped inside a small hotel to take a breather before continuing on the hunt. All of a sudden, a loud crash sounded above them. Startled, they ran outside and saw the broken window high above them.
Applejack gave a worried glance up at the shattered window. "We better go check and see if anypony was injured."
The two ponies rushed inside, up the steps, and into a large room on the top floor. They were startled to see Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, and two gray ponies all spaced around the room.
"This is... awkward." Daylah stated. Then she took a closer look at the gray stallion. "Hey!" she exclaimed, "I know you! Your that Mr. Steel who tried to buy my land!"
Applejack stepped forward, "We know what you're up to, causing' this drought and all!"
"What?" Mr. Steel gave Applejack and Daylah a dumb look. "I really don't know what your talking about."
"Yeah," Twilight interjected, "What are you talking about? Mr. Steel came here to start a farm; a drought is the last thing he could want."
"It's true," Mr. Steel continued, "Just today I got an idea for how to fix this drought, and it's all thanks to my cousin Silver Fatigue's research."
Silver Fatigue curtsied to the assembled group. "I'm working as a librarian at the school, Twilight can confirm that, but I am also a student there studying weather. I think I have a plan to fix this drought."
The gray mare pulled out some charts and a book Twilight recognized as the one on concentrating a cloud. A plan was quickly formed that involved Twilight's strong magic and Rainbow Dash's lightning quick speed. After only ten minutes the plan was in place.
<><><><><>
"Are you sure this is going to work?" asked a doubtful Rainbow Dash.
"I'm positive." affirmed Silver Fatugue. "As long as you stick to the plan, everything will go according to plan."
Rainbow Dash nodded in acknowledgment. "Are you read, Twilight?" she asked.
"Ready as I'll ever be. Let's do this!"
Twilight set to work on a spell that would pull what little remaining moisture there was in air into a floating globule of water. From there, Rainbow Dash spun round and round till she became nothing more than a colorful blur. Her speed scattered the water out into tiny droplets, forming clouds. With the combined forces of Twilight and Rainbow Dash the first rain fell in a long long time upon the thirsty crops of the island.
Daylah let out a whoop of joy and hugged Ray Steel.
Everypony was laughing with joy. That is, everypony except for Rarity, who had just finished getting her hair styled at a local fashion salon. The rain turned the beautiful hairdo into a tangled and knotted mess.
"Ah!" Rarity shrieked, "My hair!" She then rushed back into the salon, which only made everypony laugh harder.
"I'm sorry I judged yal," Applejack apologized to Ray Steel and Silver Fatigue. "All along you were trying to stop the drought, not cause it."
"It was wrong of us to make assumptions," added Daylah.
"Don't worry yourselves about it." Ray Steel replied.
"It worked out all right in the end," Silver Fatigue added a she smiled at the two apologetic ponies.
Rarity reappeared, but this time she had an umbrella and a towel around her wet mane. The entire group of friends rushed into a nearby coffee shop to escape the rain for a bit and dry off.

Twilight's Vacation Memoir
Day 6
Well, I'm sorry to say it, but our vacation to the Bermooda Triangle is officially over. While we did witness many cool, interesting, and just plain weird events near the Triangle, nothing could beat helping out the ponies of Sunny Shores. The memory of their smiles is worth more than twenty Bermooda vacations combined!
Your faithful student,
Twilight Sparkle
