Equestria, a land once synonymous with the concept of harmony now reduced to a plane of personified despair. In only a matter of days, the once clear blue skies have been turned into a monotonous, uniform shade of gray. The fertile lands that were once used to cultivate crops has now faded away along with all the other natural beauty the fabled land once held.

The peaceful creatures that walked upon its earth are now exposed to this nightmarish plague. A vast majority of Equestria’s inhabitants have had their lives claimed by this enigmatic virus. Others, however, are immune and now seek refuge in the apocalyptic wasteland. The Immune are only a small fraction of New Equestria’s population. The Infected are those that were not lucky enough to have fallen from the virus and those who were not blessed enough to have been immune. Ranging from small physical deformities to drastic mutations, the Infected are a much more common sight as far as living beings are concerned. Each Infected is somewhat unique; it is a rare sight to see two Infected that share the same ailment. Infected are also more likely to act aggressively towards any who interact with them, this isn’t always the case but it is a prevalent trait among the group.

The source of the troubles that plague Equestria is currently unknown. With no news coming from the royal palace, survivors, whether they are Immune or Infected are left to fend for themselves and hope that some form of help arrives. Meanwhile, in the once peaceful town of Ponyville an important factor in this wicked tale lays sleeping unaware of the hazardous journey that she is about to undertake…
