Descending Desire
Chapter 2: Forlorn Animosity
Previous Chapter Next ChapterA month has passed since they have declared Shining Armor dead and the tensions between Equestria and the Crystal Empire couldn't have been any more severe. With twelve ponies dead, including Shining Armor, and five 'heretic' ponies behind bars, as the C.Y.R, the Crystal Youth Regression, a group of extremists, puts it, the pressure caved in on Princess Cadence as she soon caved in to the pressure of her people. Had she had a right, sane mind, she would've seen the repercussions of her actions before she had committed them.
She executed the five heretics with her bare hands.
The public was shocked and surprised at the actions, but were nonetheless pleased. With the C.Y.R in the palm of her hands, she has pleased her own subjects. She soon started ordering for factories and training grounds for her troops. When questioned about these changes, she simply smiled and said that she's going to secede and wage war against all of Equestria. Could it be the loss of her dead husband that has affected her or the political pressures that caved in? With all the-
BLIP!
Twilight Sparkle's finger pressed the button on the remote as she turned off the television from the 9 AM Canterlot News Network. Tears ran down her eyes as she remembered the news coming to her. She had played it off, feeling coy and laughed it off. Her brother, the Captain of the Royal Guard, dead from a simple fire? That was impossible! He might've leaved a trail or there would've been smithereens of his clothes or some evidence. But it was proven. The fire was vicious and all that remained of Shining Armor was his badge.
Still, it took her a while for the news to sink in. Many letters sent to him and not a response from him or Princess Cadence. She was slowly worrying and went over to see for herself if he was actually dead. The train ride was long and torturous, but it paid off when she got off of the station. Though, not in a way that she would expect. She learned the hard way that you get what you pay for when she saw a memorial service for her brother. Princess Cadence left the minute she saw her and together, they wept in their arms,
Everyone had their own way of trudging through the grieving process and from Twilight Sparkle's point of view, Princess Cadence was taking it way too harshly. She explained to Twilight Sparkle that C.Y.R held a belief that the crystal ponies are pure and true while normal ponies like her and her friends, and all of Equestria, were dulled and held darkness. Princess Cadence wanted to go to war with them in order to purify them so tragedies like this would never happen.
Why, was all that Twilight Sparkle could muster. Why would someone like her help a group like that? How would they purify them, through murder? All these thoughts and memories ran through her head until a knock on her door woke her from her trance.
"Twilight, are you okay?" It was Spike. She groggily sat up from her bed and opened the door. His spiky green hair was pulled back a little and he wore some black clothing.
"Spike? Ugh, what...why are you-"
"The service is today, remember?" Just what Twilight needed, another reminder to tell her that her brother is dead. She shook her head and walked over to her bed. "C'mon, you can't stay in bed."
"I've done it for the past weeks, haven't I? Only to come out and make you meals?" Spike sighed from her response. She didn't know what's worse, letting her let Cadence fight all of Equestria or Twilight just suffering from loss by herself. He was saddened too, but he wasn't going to sit around and let this become a big deal. He's sure that Shining Armor wouldn't want her to grieve like this. He walked down the stairs and opened the door, walking out of Golden Oaks Library and locking it. Fluttershy and Rarity were outside, looking at him with a bit of despondency.
"Twilight isn't coming out?" Rarity asked, fully aware of the answer but wanting a confirmation. Spike nodded and they began their trek toward the Town Square. They met everyone there and everypony held hands and together, they grieved for Shining Armor, Twilight's brother, Captain of the Royal Guard and Co-Ruler of the Crystal Empire. Spike could sense the dread and a pit in his stomach. Shining Armor couldn't have died that easily, that he could agree with Twilight.
The service was all over Equestria. From Canterlot, Las Pegasus, Manehattan, everyone was mourning for the death of a brilliant hero and beloved pony. There was not a pony who wasn't shedding a tear for a loss such as this. Along with his death would be the death of many others if no peace treaty was formed between the Crystal Empire and Equestria.
Every citizen in Equestria prayed to Celestia and Luna that peace could come swiftly.

Princess Cadence flew over to the training grounds and inspected the forms of her soldiers. They seem to be getting stronger and agile with the strenuous training program she adapted from viewing the Wonderbolts and watching her husband train the troops. Her stoic, glistening face wandered over the grassy and snowy fields, looking for any soldier who was lagging behind in their training. Surprisingly, none of them faltered.
And none of them will. She walked toward Clear-Cut, a weary looking stallion, who had a clipboard in his hands. His muscles were built, as if he was purely cut from a sapphire stone. His amethyst hair was slick back, showing off his widow's peak. He was the leader of C.Y.R., and despite his age of 42, he looked more like he was 21. No horn or wings, just his square shades and his yearning to cleanse the world of dulled ponies.
Despite his build, he had wisdom and was friendly, if not, charming. His belief came first before anything else, so he had to sort each soldier to make sure which ones were for him or which ones were neutral. Anyone who held sympathy or had any connection to Equestria were kicked out. They would've had a bigger army, if it weren't for Cadence's rage that intimidated them.
"How are the troops coming along?" the Princess asked in a demanding voice. He didn't move his head, but his eyes looked at the princess and checked the clipboard to see the statistics. "Now, Clear-Cut! I didn't give out that speech weeks ago and have you in the palm of my hands just for you to-"
"Our forces are minimal at best, your highness." His voice sounded softly so no other soldier nearby. It was like making music out of wine glasses. "You intimidated the populace with the last speech you gave. While I admit, you boomed the economy and promised us support for purifying everypony, your recent loss of Shining Armor is most unfortunate and I apologize, but-"
"I expect results! Damn, if Shining were here, he would-"
"He would train them better than I, you said this." He nodded off the note and looked up, seeing his soldiers fatigued from training. "One more time! A nice, hearty meal will be waiting for you. Made especially from Mama's." The soldiers perked up and nodded. Mama's was an adult restaurant that hired lovely, beauteous mares and stallions, if they wandered into that side of the fence. They sponsored the war effort and would help the soldiers with meals and sometimes, other provisions. Clear-Cut looked at Princess Cadence and smiled, who sneered and walked away.
"We need more soldiers! Not a group of young stallions who can't control their hormones!"
"What you need to do is issue a draft. If people won't come, then we won't have to look like a private army." He growled calmly. His patience was wearing thin from the Princess' constant nagging. He looked over to his soldiers, but out in the distance, he saw a black mass forming on the horizon. As Cadence was about to retort, she heard the bellowing of a horn and looked to its direction, seeing the black mass coming from where Clear-Cut was looking. They were coming from the sky and from the looks of it, they were just pure black and sounded like flies. Fear instilled in Cadence and Clear-Cut ordered the soldiers to ready themselves. Spears and arrows were at the ready as the black-shelled ponies landed in front of them, staring at them and cracking their knuckles.
"What do we do, sir? They're just standing there! What are they?" sounded from the Crystal Soldiers as they faced their threat. Despite the numbers, the soldiers were itching for a fight and looked warily for any sign of a threat.
"Fire, of course! They're-"
"Here for a proposition." That lustful low voice sent shivers down Cadence's spine as she sees a mare in regal armor, glowing in a green faint aura, walking past her troops. "I heard you're taking over Equestria. All on your own." She smiled, emphasizing each of the last four words. She eyed her troops and shook her head. "You will need a lot more than this to conquer them." Chrysalis smiled as each of the soldiers trembled, not in fear, but from eyeing her bust. They weren't going to kill this beauty, right?
"Get to the point, harlot!" Cadence growled, looking at the Changeling Queen, her horn glowing.
"Fine, here." She snapped her fingers and the first row of soldiers glowed before transforming into a random crystal pony. The soldiers gawked at the powers they could do and started nodding. "We help you take over Equestria and we both can rule over the lands. Plain and simple."
"How do I know you won't betray me?" Cadence said, raising an eyebrow. Chrysalis looked up at her with a feigning look of sadness.
"Despite what I've done at your wedding, I actually loved him. I heard of the news and with us, having similar goals, we could both rule." She expressed her apology and she was surrounded in a green flame before coming out as Shining Armor. Princess Cadence forgotten about their ability to transform into anypony and tears were shed. Clear-Cut looked and shook his head.
"No, absolutely not! Those...abominations with us? I cannot abide by this! They are not even like us!"
"This is not up for discussion, Clear-Cut! We need all the help we can get." The Princess flew down and hugged Chrysalis, still in Shining Armor's form. They both embraced and a green flame surrounded him and she was back in her original state. Cadence smiled and they both shook hands, ready to begin a new alliance.
"By the way, I just have to admit. I'm not really Chrysalis. I'm an Emissary, if you will. We both may look alike, but she wears her crown all over the place and has wings." Princess Cadence raised an eyebrow as she turned around and showed her open back. "And I really hate how my hair feels from trying to look like her. Where's the nearest shower?" She asked curiously. She gave the signal for her soldiers to be at ease and all the soldiers started to mingle with each other. The changelings started to change into the glistening ponies and laughed when the crystal soldiers looked around, in confusion and happiness.
"I'll show you, but...I'm wondering, what's Chrysalis doing that she couldn't come see me face to face?" Princess Cadence looked in her eyes, trying to find any emotion that's hiding away in her mind. Any secrets, perhaps. The Emissary chuckled and changed into Shining Armor, carrying her in his arms.
"Don't worry about her. Just think about us." The fake Shining Armor sounds just like that real one. Cadence smiled and kissed his lips, wrapping her arms around him as he brought her inside. Clear-Cut looked at the Emissary suspiciously and looked out in the distance.
"What could their leader be doing that's so important right now?" He grunted.
~*~
"Yes! Impale me with your might sword! Oof!" Chrysalis' moans filled her bedroom as Shining Armor quickened his thrusts. Her legs were spread far and wide as he hit her in all of the right spots.
"Fuck, I'm about to cum again!" He whinnied as he reached his peak, slamming deep as he can as his seed spurt deep inside her. She moaned and held tight as she also let loose an orgasm. His hot seed and her lovely fluids seeped out of her as they kissed passionately. Tongues swirled around each other and their breaths were heavy as they pulled away and laid next to each other. Her hunger for love was running low; she could swear that she was starting to become full.
"That...ooh...was amazing..." He commented. It has been a while since they had sex. Two weeks and he was forced not to masturbate or a jolt of electricity would shock him every time he tried. It made his orgasm much more enjoyable.
"It was...I'm starting to feel full from feeding off of you..." She smiled and winked as she slid her fingers across her slit, both of their cum on her index finger as she placed it in her mouth, looking at him with a cutesy stare as she licked it all over; swallowing the contents of their bodily fluids. He blushed and looked away for a moment before laughing a little. She could feel something off, and, for the first time since they were together, it wasn't his penis inside of her. "What's wrong, Shiny?"
"I just...how's Cadence taking my disappearance? How's everyone taking it? It's been a month and I do love the things you shown me about your kingdom." He said, walking on the soft velvet red rugs toward the window. He looked out and saw her kingdom. They were just like the other ponies back at Equestria: laughing, helping each other, smiling toward one another. "Another thing is...why didn't you just come to us instead of trying to invade us. You're looking for a source of food and that is love, right? We could've just lived together in harmony and helped you guys. We're understanding pony folks." He said, looking back at Chrysalis.
"W-Well..." She said, clicking her hooves together. "Look at us. We're different. Although we may be ponies like you, we're bug-like. They'll probably fear us instead of love us like we want." She said, not actually having this thought out. "Mainly, even though we support each other, we hold abhorrence to the unknown until we find out that they're a good source of love. Equestria, as I said last time, has more love than any place than I have encountered. I just...thought that they'd hate us."
"Invading us wasn't the best line of action. They probably fear you, but I'm sure, with time and all, we'd reach an understanding between each other. I know I have." He smiled as he walked up to her and crawled on the bed, placing a hand on her cheek before entwining lips. It wasn't out of lust or fear, it was genuine love. "I love you, more than the actions I have committed." This love was filling her up and she feels as if she was about to burst. She pulled away and gasped, taking in the moment. "What, was it something I did?"
"No, nothing at all." She smiled, cuddling with him as she pulled him in the bed. "I'm just glad..."
"About what?" He smiled as he slowly drifted off to sleep.
"That I have won..."
