I've watched you grow form a young filly to the beautiful mare you are today. Every step of the way I held you, when you would hold me too. I know that people make fun of me, but I want you to know it was your smile every day, when you came home from school, with a smile shining from ear to ear. I want to know if it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t have made it as far as I have to see the beautiful mare you’ve blossomed into. You know that I will always be there to help you on your way, I always have and that won’t stop today. I still remember that day when you were a young filly and you ran home tears dripping for your chin, I grabbed you up in my arms holding you close. At first when you tried to tell me what was wrong you were crying so hard that you couldn’t speak, gasping for air as the tears rushed from your eyes. “Hush, hush. It’s all right mommy’s here. Everything is always alright now.” I remember the words clearly in my head. But you wouldn’t stop crying, nothing i could do would make you stop crying. So I held you tighter in my arms, I even began crying because I couldn’t make you stop. I remember you slowly quieted as my tears grew. “What’s wrong mommy?” you asked, your innocent eyes glistened with tears, I brushed them off your cheeks and smiled “I don’t know” I remember we laughed for what felt like hours after that. Do you remember that?

As you grew from that innocent young filly, I walked every step of the way with you. Your first day of school, and every morning after I walked you to school. We didn’t miss a day. Afterwards you would come home and we would talk about your day, all day. We talked about everything that happened. I never said this but I always felt I was living my childhood again through your eyes, your beautiful amber eyes. I'm glad they never changed. Do you remember that afternoon we shared when I skipped school with you? It was  the beginning of fall and the leaves grew bright red, orange, and yellow, falling from the trees. We trotted through crisp autumn leaves. I looked down to your bright face, you were staring up at the tree tops. A glint of curious amazement shined from your eyes. You walked close to me in the cold air, I loved the feel of your soft, warm coat pressed against mine.

Every day we had together I relived in my dreams. The joy, the love we have always shared warms me everywhere I go. I hope you are warmed by my love. Even on the coldest days, I will always be there to warm you. And I know that today I may not be able to hold you tight, like I once could. But I still feel you holding tight to me. Even if you can’t feel it, I am holding you too, as tight as I can. I may have left this world, but I will never leave you. I love you forever and for-always. Everywhere I am, I love you. You can be sure of that, as sure as the sun will rise in the morning. And remember, there is a warmth you can always feel inside of you. That warmth is our love. Live your life as I would live mine, I will walk every step you take, and take every breath with yours. Take our love and show it to everypony you meet. I will never leave your side, ever.
