Page laid on his bed, his face a storm cloud in his sleep. Sweat beaded up on his brow as the dream continued. Her voice… god, the voice haunted him with a never ending chill…

“Why didn’t you come for me, Turner?”

He screamed, sitting up quickly. His eyes were wide from the voice he had heard… it had sounded like she was right next to him… He wiped the sweat from his face, panting from the nightmare. Turning to the side, he saw his wife lying next to him, fast asleep. She hadn’t awoken to his scream. He smiled softly at his wife’s enlarged stomach. She was about 8 months along now, getting close to the due date.

Page shifted his weight off of the bed, standing. He walked quietly to the side room, peeking his head in. Inside was a small filly, sound asleep. She was peaceful and dreaming. Page smiled lightly at his daughter. She was a few years old now, around 5. She was so excited to have a little brother on the way…

Page trotted downstairs to the lobby, trying to set his mind at ease after the dream. He walked outside into the moonlight, watching the stars. He had travelled those stars long ago, traversing the wonders of the galaxies. He hadn’t been up there in a long time. He remembered when he was a small child on Gallopfrey, he had thought the stars were ponies who had died. He laughed now. “How ridiculous an idea…”

He looked up at the stars, his laughter dying on his lips. The dead… forever shining above them and looking over them. He sighed softly and turned his head away from the sky. He had loved her… but the voice he had heard tonight was not Radiant’s. It had been but a dream. He had also found new love, here at the inn. He smiled, thinking of his wife. Winter was the love of his life…

Page turned and walked inside, setting his mind at ease for the night. His wife would awake the next morning and he would make her breakfast. He smiled as he glanced once more at the sky before shutting the door…

As the door shut, his eyes were away from the sky. Because of that, he never saw the shooting star nearing equestria…
