The age of industry has come to Equestria. It's a time of great innovation, and technological advancement. And each of the Mane Six find themselves playing a different role in the new world. A social schism is forming among ponies. There are those who wish to keep certain advances back, and others who embrace them.

At the forefront of all this is Twilight Sparkle, founder and CEO of Sparkle Industries, and one of the world's leaders in the controversial science of Equine Augmentation. Helping keep peace in the company is her chief of security Rainbow Dash, who herself is more concerned with taking care of her new family.

After an attack on the company's corporate headquarters leaves Dash crippled and her life turned upside down, she puts aside her dislike of augmentation for the sake of answers. And no one. Not her friends, not social opinion, not even Celestia herself will stop her. This is her story.
