Introduction to the Magic Camp
“Welcome to Equestria's one and only magic camp! A lovely place for young unicorns to come and practice magic. We offer many activities to interest any fun-loving filly or colt; here you will learn all types of magic from gardening to defending yourself. Our camp is located about an hour and a half east of Ponyville. We reside on a luscious 40 acre lot, with trees and flowers of every variety. While studying or just taking a break, feel free to relax by our stream which runs through our willow tree field. We offer week courses (overnight of course!) or if you prefer just a day course or two, we also offer workshops on specific types of magic (whichever ones tend to interest you!). We also offer unicorn history classes for those young unicorns (or old, or even non-unicorns!) to learn everything about the inner workings of the horn or how magic came to be. So please feel free to contact us or just drop in for a visit, we’d be delighted to give you a tour of our camp! Any questions feel free to ask us! Thank you for considering our Unicorn Magic Camp!”
“Jeeze, what is this a brochure or a novel?!?” Nova yelled looking over the brochure
“Nova, honestly it’s supposed to have a lot of information in it! So everybody knows about the camp.” The much calmer Silver just rolled her eyes at her sister.
~~~~~
Silver Swirl was a gorgeous young unicorn mare, not quite full grown yet. She had a stunning silver coat with a well kept flowing white and light pink highlighted mane and tail which caused her bright teal eyes to stand out. She absolutely hated being unkempt, the thought of being unreasonable in public outside of the camp terrified her, but at the same time she was no girly girl. Silver loved the dirt as she was the resident gardener on the camp and ‘Plant magic’ teacher. Silver sported 3 cherry blossoms as her cutie mark, she had received it after planting and taking care of the first cherry blossom to grow on their farm, from that moment she knew this garden, and the plants were all she needed and that this was her calling.
Nova on the other hand was a young Pegasus mare with a midnight blue coat, a white muzzle and messy dark red mane/tail with purple and yellow highlights and stunning bright red eyes. Nova was the only Pegasus to live and work on the camp, so she was completely in control of the weather for the area. Unlike her sister, Nova really didn’t care how she appeared to anypony outside of the camp, she claimed that even if she did bother to do anything the wind was just mess up her mane anyway (which was true). Nova and Silver were the same age but born weeks apart (silver being just 2 weeks older) their parents would never explain why, only the family knew this secret. Nova’s cutie mark was that of a paintbrush with stars coming off of it, very simple but she adored it none the less. She had discovered her special talent for painting one night as she watched Luna’s moon rise, she had been attempting to paint all day but watching the moon rise had given her the inspiration and she’d fallen in love with the feeling of getting lost in the paint and canvas world. Both girls were extremely happy on their family camp.
~~~
“I told you not to try that Nova” Silver said with a stern tone while using her magic to life a piece of wood off her sister.
“Ah, Silv you gotta lighten’ up a bit!” Nova had managed to wiggle her way out of the broken pile of what use to be a shed and jump back on her hooves.
“Good luck explaining that one to mum and dad”
“Yeah ..well I’ll think of something, maybe Comet can help? I mean seriously, you guys are unicorns just magic it fixed or something!”
“Oh Nova...” with a light kick to the side of Nova’s head Silver had set off running “Race ya to the house!”
“Hey no fair!” Nova spread her wings out and with a few flaps was racing straight after her sister.
Both Unicorn and Pegasus were in a heated race heading straight towards the farm, just as Silver thought she could finally win this one because of her head start she didn’t happen to see the young unicorn stallion walking right in front of her..until she ran into him head first.
“oww..oh sorry Comet!” Silver whimpered slightly as she looked at what she had just ran into
“Hey Silv, Nova, You lot racing AGAIN?” Comet happily lent a hoof to Silver helping her up again
“Of course! And I Nova Are VICTORIOUS ONCE AGAIN!” happily gloating over another victory Nova landed on top of her sister causing her to lose her balance and fall over again
“Nova that’s so cheating! AND GET OFF ME !!”
“Yeah like hitting me wasn’t chea...whoa!” pushing her sister to the floor Silver stood up and brushed all the dust off her coat “Aw man, I just showered as well I was going out today!”
“You look fine Silver” Comet complimented the young Unicorn enjoying the smile she gave.
Comet was a bright young unicorn stallion and quite a good looking one at that, most of the females on the camp fancied him. Comet’s coat was a rocky brown with short navy blue and white highlighted mane/tail with bright blue eyes to match. He was the defence teacher in the camp and taught the younger unicorns the magic of protecting themselves but only taught them the most simple of spells for this. Comet’s favourite things to do were reading by the stream underneath the willow trees and watching a certain young Pegasus flying gracefully through the skies, he wished that one day he’d be able to do the same but for now enjoyed watching Nova. He sported the cutie mark of a comet (much like his name) his special talent was being able to produce a magical shield which caused him to look like a comet as he ran. Comet adored hanging around with Silver and Nova they were his best friends on this lot and their parents were grateful enough to take him in of course in exchange he taught there which he loved anyway.
Comet watched the two sisters playfully fight with each other.
“What are you two up too anyway?” suddenly remembering that Comet was there Nova ran over to his side and playfully nudged him
“Well I’m sorta hiding from my parents right now..Unless you can help me in time!”
“Help you with what?” Comet asked with a puzzled look on his face
“Well.. You see..I sorta...erm..”
“She totally destroyed the shed trying to do a trick.”
Comet stared at Nova in a bit of shock and worry as she quickly turned away and started to blush at the embarrassment. He couldn’t help but blush a little back, he was always so found of the young Pegasus but wished she wouldn’t try stunts that would hurt her.
“Well I guess I’ll see what I can do before Big Red finds out about it”
Just as the Nova was about to lead them back to the destroyed shed a loud scream could be heard coming from that very direction, a yell that made Nova’s ears perk up fully and with her wings spread she quickly shot off to the nearest cloud to try and avoid the storm that was coming her way.
Suddenly a large unicorn came running full speed to were Silver and Comet were standing and were a terrified looking Pegasus had just taken flight. Big Red was much like his name a big red stallion with a flowing pure white mane he was the owner of the magic camp and head instructor with a cutie mark similar to that of a local ponyville librarian but blue instead of purple. Big Red was the husband of Willow a petite pure white unicorn with light pink mane whose cutie mark was that of a heart with wings who happened to be head of the small the young unicorn division helping babies to help control their first magical urges. Big Red was also the father of Silver Swirl and Nova.
“WHERE IS SHE?” Big Red yelled the anger in his voice very present “I KNOW SHE IS HERE SOMEWHERE....NOVA YOU SHOW YOURSELF NOW YOUNG LADY!”
Before Silver or Comet could say anything a small terrified squeak could be head from the cloud above.
“NOVA YOU GET DOWN HERE NOW!” just then the cloud suddenly shuttered and a blue blur could be seen flying as fast as possible away from the scene, Big Red was soon in pursuit shooting magic and yelling trying to catch the young Pegasus. “GET. BACK. HERE. RIGHT. NOW!”
Both Silver and Comet couldn’t help but giggle as they watched the struggling blue form being pulled from a cloud by magic and dragged to the destroyed shed.
“Nova’s always so happy even though she gets in trouble far too much” Comet continued to watch the struggling Pegasus from afar
“Yeah she’s like that..” Silver giggled knowing that tonight Nova would be in quite the bad mood
“Hey..Silver..Can I ask you something?” Comet asked shyly
“Sure Comet, What’s up?” Silver replied with a worried look
“Well..How come you and Nova are the same aged but born 2 weeks apart? I mean you don’t even look alike...she doesn’t have anything in common with your parents at all”
“Well that’s sorta a family secret...mainly because it was such a sad time in her life” Silver stared into the clouds as she said the last part quieter.
“Nova sad? That can’t be, she’s never been sad in her life!” the shock in Comet’s voice showed more then he thought
“Well...She was sad..for along time...But that story is something for her to tell you not me. When she finally becomes ungrounded maybe she’ll tell you. I know she’s been thinking about it for awhile, I mean you’re like family to us Comet...Maybe one day soon you’ll find out Nova’s story”
Comet and Silver shared a quick glance with each other before slowly heading off in opposite directions. Silver heading to see how her sister was holding up against their father and Comet heading towards the willow tree beside the stream to think for awhile, wondering about the world to himself. Staring at the Clouds Comet couldn’t help but think out loud.
“What exactly could Nova’s story be?”

YOU HAVE TO FLY, NOW!
“She looks so miserable.”
“Well Dad is making her rebuild the entire thing on her own”
“It’s a good thing she’s such a good flier”
“Yeah...”
YOU HAVE TO FLY, NOW!
It was a gorgeous day besides some stray clouds but their resident cloud controller was still in lock down after the shed incident. Two unicorns were sitting in the field watching the Pegasus suffer slightly rebuilding the shed both giggling every so often at their friend. After awhile Silver got up and rearranged her mane before walking over to her garden to tend to her plants Comet had been mesmerized by the flying pony but suddenly noticed the absence of his fellow unicorn. Comet stood up and followed Silver over to the garden since Nova was grounded he’d noticed he hadn’t had much to do outside of teaching his own classes and helping Silver with the plants. He normally helped as much as he could around the farm but rather missed Nova’s random appearances and the distractions she brought. Silver on the other hand tended to her sunflowers and was sorta glad Nova was contained for awhile, as much as she loved her sister sometimes she got too much to bare. Comet sat behind Silver and watched her thinking about Nova, She really was a truly great flier.
“Could you pass me that water can please Comet?” moving her white and pink mane out of her face Silver had faced her garden ready for business.
“Oh yeah sure” breaking out of his day dream he lifted the watering can with his magic and passed it over to Silver.
“Thank you.” Silver replied while watering her flowers “These guys are so thirsty even though I watered them earlier..I should get Nova to bring me over a rain cloud maybe I’m just not giving them enough.”
“Talking about Nova, she must have gotten a damn good flying teacher at flight school in cloudsdale I’ve seen older Pegasus that cant fly quite that well” Comet had gone back to watching the Pegasus fly gracefully in the air attempting to fix the roof.
“Nova’s never been to cloudsdale. Mum and Dad couldn’t get her into the flight school after all we are unicorns, only pegasi know where cloudsdale is due to its constant moving.” Silver managed to reply without even looking at Comet her concentration was completely with her plants.
“Then how did Nova learn to fly so well? Did they get a private teacher or something?” a puzzled look appeared on Comets face as he turned his head slightly from confusion.
“No. She flew because she had too. If she didn’t learn to fly when she did I probably wouldn’t be here right now” Silver finally looking up from her plants stared Comet in the eyes “She saved my life.”
“Saved your life?!? What happened? Silver please explain this to me!” Comet didn’t mean to yell the last bit but the concern in his voice was real. The thought of having almost lost one of his best friends shocked him.
“Well..” Silver started “It happened about 5 years ago we weren’t quite full grown yet and the camp was only in its first year, Nova and I were playing around the yard like usual and I had a stupid idea....”
~~~
“Heeey Nova! Come on!” Silver ran ahead of her younger sister happily jumping along the fences and rocks as Nova tried her hardest to keep up.
“Urg, If only my wings worked! All they are good for is keep my balanced!” Nova grunted as she almost fell of the fence.
“Least they are good for something!” Silver laughed as she danced around the willow trees.
“Hey Nova, I have a good idea!” Silver suddenly shot off towards the old storage house where they kept old and broken things that were used around the farm. Inside the storage shed also held a hot air balloon that could be powered by magic. Silver had recently learned how to operate it and had the bright idea to set it up and prove to her parents how well she
could pilot it on her own, even though she knew she wasn’t allowed to use it without her parent’s permission.
“Silver I don’t think that’s a good idea! You shouldn’t go in there!” Nova knew must of her ideas were stupid but when her sister suddenly got her mind set on something she thought was a good idea Nova normally had to try save the day. “Our roles feel reversed today” Nova thought to herself as she galloped faster.
Silver had managed to get the door to the storage house open and was already inside looking for the hot air balloon.
“This will really impress my parents!” she thought as she got to the task of setting it all up.
It took awhile to get the basic outside, Silver had attempted to magick it out the door but it was too big for her to carry. After awhile she gave up on that idea and succeeded in lifting on to the nearest cart and wheeling it out the door and while receiving pleas from her sister not to go through with this. Once the hot air balloon was set outside Silver jumped into the basket and trying to remember the spell her parents had taught her and soon the hot air balloon started filling up rapidly and slowly started to lift into the air. Silver leaded over the edge so she could speak to her sister more clearly.
“Hey Nova! Get in before it’s to..whoooa!” falling backwards into the basket the balloon shot off into the air “How do I turn off this thing?!?!” in complete panic Silver had forgotten two things, One; to tie down the balloon and Two; How to stop and land it.
Nova had shot off immediately to get help from their parents while Silver rose towards the sky in alarming rate screaming for help. Suddenly Silver could see her parents running as fast as they could try shooting their magic to try and control the balloon but it was quickly getting out of range for them.
“I told you girls not to go near that balloon! We told you this morning that the ropes were old and cracking, it isn’t safe!” Big Red yelled at the small Pegasus and Willow watched as her daughter flew away starting to whimper.
“I told her it wasn’t a good idea dad! I did! She didn’t believe me! She was trying to show off and prove she could do this. I guess she didn’t remember this morning.” Nova replied sadly.
Silver now in full panic mode was running around the basket desperately trying to find a way out of this mess. Her constant moving around started causing more tension on the ropes of the basket than they could handle and soon enough the ropes slowly started tearing apart. Silver caught on a bit too late to the noise and watched with horror at the ropes slowly coming undone. Too scared to use her magic properly all she could do was watch as the final strand broke to the rope, followed shortly by another rope breaking, then a third. Next thing she knew all she could see was the basket getting small and feel the wind blowing her mane in front of her face.
“This is it. I’m going to die” Silver thought to herself as everything around her seemed to have slowed down completely tears escaping from her eyes and flying above her.
“MY BABY!” Willow screamed in complete horror as she watched the figure of her daughter fall from the basket and head straight towards the ground and she could do nothing but stand in shock tears streaming down her face.
Big Red had galloped off at full speed hoping he’d make it in time to catch his daughter, he didn’t notice the smaller shape following him at full speed. Next thing he saw was a pair of wings fly by the side of his head as he watched his youngest child fly for the first time. “Come on Nova, you can do it” he thought quietly to himself as he watched her struggle to keep flight.
Nova wasn’t even sure what sure what she was doing she hadn’t managed to fly yet. The most she could manage was to hover for a 10 minutes and fly only slightly in the air but nothing as much as the other Pegasus could do. As much as her parents would have loved to send her to flight school the truth was they had no idea where cloudsdale was, they wouldn’t even be able to get her there, none of their friends lived in cloudsdale so nobody could have taken her in for awhile. All Nova knew is that she had to fly and now, she had galloped full speed after her father and spread her wings as far as they go, flapping as hard as she could she willed herself to finally take flight.
“Come on wings don’t fail me! I have to get her. Come on, FLY NOW!” Nova had yelled inside her head. She focused everything on trying to reach Silver before it was too late. Before she knew what was happening she was up in the air trying hard to keep herself going, flying as fast as she could she tried to close the distance between her and sister listening to the terrified screams of her parents and over ponies that had appeared to see what all the commotion was. Then she saw her inches in front, Nova used the last of her energy to grab Silver in her hoofs and held on for dear life.
Silver watched Nova fly closer and closer before she was able to get hold of Nova’s hoof, she wrapped her hoofs around Nova’s neck bawling her eyes out. Nova managed to keep her wings flapping even though she didn’t have the strength to keep them both up, they started falling but slower than they should have so that was a plus. Nova grasped onto her sister hard and tried aiming them for the bushes on the ground, it’d still hurt a lot but at least they wouldn’t be killed. Nova made one final move so that she’d hit the ground first. Surely enough they both did hit the ground thankfully in the bush Nova had aimed for.
Big Red and Willow had galloped at full speed to their fillies. They were thankful to find both were alive though unconscious, they carefully loaded them into a cart and took them to the Ponyville hospital. Nova suffered from a broken wing, rib and sprained hoof with quite a bit of bruising and some cuts while Silver suffered a sprained hoof bruising and minor cuts, Nova having taking the majority of the blow. After a couple months recovering both fillies were doing perfectly fine only now Silver stayed away from the hot air balloon having decided she’s better on the ground and listened to her parents while Nova had spent every day teaching herself to fly better.
~~~~
“Wow, what an amazing story! Nova was so brave it’s a good thing neither of you were damaged too badly! I can’t believe how close I came to almost never meeting you” Comet stared at Silver in complete shock as she just stared a glance and smiled at her sister still working on the shed.
“I’d always be thankful to my sister for that. She taught herself to fly just to say my life, I’d so glad my father adopted her.” Without thinking she said the last part when she didn’t mean too.
“Adopted?” Comet asked with a puzzled look.
“Erm...” Having just realized what she’d just said Silver was trying to find a way to not talk about it, when all a sudden she heard a crash come from behind her.
“Groan..I’m sorry! I’m here to drop off a package for Miss Silver Swirl?” said the voice from behind her.
Looking around Silver saw a clumsy grey Pegasus with blonde mane trying to get herself out of the tree she’d just flown too, finally getting herself out she fell on the ground and shook herself off.
“I’m Silver Swirl”
“Here’s your package!” the grey mare said happily while holding out an empty hoof “Oh no! I must have dropped it I’m sorry!”
“Oh it’s fine! Here I’ll help you look for it, Bye Comet!” with that Silver shot off grabbing the confused mail mare with her looking for the package the grey Pegasus had dropped.
“Adopted huh? Well that certainty explains a lot. Then again, I guess it was sorta obvious” Comet got up off the ground and trotted off to meet his class for his next lesson.
Nova's Story
“So how’d the shed building go?”
“Horrible! He wouldn’t let me get any unicorns to help with magic”
“Well maybe next you’ll learn”
“...I make no promises”
NOVA’S STORY
Comet couldn’t help but laugh at the tired Pegasus that slumped beside him under the tree. It’d been two weeks since the accident and Nova’s only punishment was to rebuild the shed (but, more clouds somehow found their way over the crops more often..once she swore she saw one with a tail fly by. “I swear he’s got some of his old pegasi friends doing this to me.” groaned the defeated pegasus).
“If you feel any better I walked by it earlier it looks pretty nice”
“Thanks Comet, Dad said he was proud I managed to fix it so he’s letting me paint it anyway I want” Nova tried to say the last part normally but it came out more like an excited squeal which caused another fit of laugher from her friend.
“That’s good to hear, you know while you were building Silv told me about the first time you flew. It was an amazing story I will admit”
“Ahh thank you” Nova blushed slightly at the compliment. She’d remember that day very clearly in her mind, sometimes she even still dreamt but the outcome completely different from the real it’d cause Nova to run to Silver’s room just to make sure she was fine.
“It’s a good think they adopted you then isn’t it?” Comet had said it without really realising it, he wasn’t suppose to know that, that was the family secret after all.
“How did you know that?” the shock in Nova’s voice was hard to ignore.
“Well Silver told me...after how she told me how you first flew...she let it slip that “It was a good thing dad adopted you” She didn’t mean to but you know.” Comet shyly replied hoping he hadn’t upset his friend in away, after all he did have a bit of a crush on her and upsetting Nova would have devastated him.
“Well...I guess I could finally tell you, I mean it’s been fine with me that not everyone knows I don’t need ponies telling me stuff like “Why did that happen” and stuff. I just want to be treated like normal, just promise if I tell you, you’ll think of me no different” sadness was hinted in Nova’s voice as she waited for his reply.
“I’d never think of you differently, You are the most amazing Pegasus I know, talent artist and best friend I could ever ask for, I’d just really like to know more about you.” He just needed to know everything about her, he knew so much already, but how she came to be here on a magic farm for unicorn intrigued Comet, plus he thought maybe if he knew her story maybe he could care for her better, he’d know more, what to avoid talking about an all.
“Okay then...” Nova got up and moved closer to Comet coming to rest beside him her wing fluttering slightly as she lay down. “Well...It all started 10 years ago when I was just a young filly on the streets of Manehatten....”
~~~~~~~~
Big Red was strolling down the streets of Manehatten after just getting out of an important business meeting.
“I can’t believe I’m one step closer to getting the money to start up my camp, even though we will have to build all the buildings on the lot it’s a good thing I have so many friends to help with that” Big Red thought to himself happily.
He was extremely excited that his dream of opening Equestria’s first magic camp was almost true, nothing about this day could bring him down, everything was finally looking up for the stallion. Red thought about how he would tell his wife and his young daughter, how he missed them while he was gone.
Just as he was reminiscing about reuniting with his wife and child he could hear a slight whimpering, like that of a young filly.
“What was that?” Red thought “It sounded like a young filly, but surely not. It’s far too late at night maybe I should get some rest my ears are playing tricks on me.” Red decided it was best just to head to his hotel thinking that he was starting to go a bit crazy.
The whimpering continued and seemed to have gotten louder so Red decided “That’s it, I must find out what that is” and followed the sound down a dark alley and to his surprised found a young filly crying next to a trash can. Her coat was filthy and eyes puffy from crying, he couldn’t make out what colour her mane or coat were but could see little wings trying hard to get the garbage can off of her. The young filly had managed to get trapped underneath some garbage cans and was desperately trying to get herself out of the jam she was in. Big Red slowly trotted over trying not to scare the young one.
“Hi there” he said trying not to scare her “Let me help you” with little effort from his horn he managed to pick the garbage can off of the filly and move it to the side
“Are you alright little one?” all the little filly could manage was a terrified squeak. “Hey, I’ve got something to eat if you want it” Big Red opened his bag and brought out a sandwich he hadn’t bothered to eat earlier “I was saving it for later but you seem rather hungry”.
The little filly looked as though she was going to turn tail and run but hungry got the better of her and see shyly sniffed the sandwich taking small bites every so often before eating the rest in almost one bite.
“My, you are hungry, hey little one, listen why don’t you come with me back to my hotel? I have more food there and you can get a bath, you look filthy.” The little filly stared at the older stallion with wide eyes but she could tell that there was something different about him, he seemed much nicer than the other ponies in this city even though she probably shouldn’t she felt like she could trust him and followed the older unicorn back to his hotel.
In the hotel the older stallion ordered room service for the little filly and ran the bath for her. After a nice long bath the little filly ran out of the bathroom to see the older Stallion laying out food. Red finally got the first good look at the little thing and noticed her midnight blue coat and colourful mane and tail.
“You’re quite cute when your clean little one, do you have a name?” Between the noises she made while eating Red could make out a distinct answer to his question “No”. He had waited until she’d finished eating completely before asking anymore questions.
“So why don’t you tell my about yourself” The little filly looked up from the destruction she had caused with the food, finally satisfied for the first time in weeks. “Where are your parents are?”
“Well, I don’t know my name, or where my parents are. All I remember is they just sorta kicked me out of the house one day..They always called me bad names so I guess they just didn’t like me that much and one day they were just gone..Dad told me to get lost, he’d kick me out but I’d just go for a short walk and come back again and they’d be to drunk to notice I was there or forgotten what had happened. This day was different though, I went for my walk and came back the house was empty, everything was gone, all my stuff was burnt. I didn’t know what to do so I tried asking around but everypony either ignored me or told me to get lost as well. I’ve just been living in the park under the stars, It’s been fun, I love the stars. They keep me safe at night.”
“Oh my, you poor little thing, why didn’t you tell any officers?” Red watched the little filly with a sad look, the stars kept her safe, still so innocent.
“I tried but they just told me to beat it. It’s okay though, I’m fine on my own!” Spreading her tiny wings as far as they could go the little filly tried to prove her toughness. All Red could do was laugh at her attempt, it was oddly cute to watch such a young pony try and act tough.
“You know, I have a daughter your age I think the two of you would really get along. If you have no where else to go, you should come home with me. I’d gladly take in another daughter.”
Nova wasn’t so sure of the idea at first but she spent all night with Big Red listening to tales about his wife and daughter, the more she heard about them the more she wished to see this life for her own. Come morning Big Red and the young filly he had dubbed ‘Nova’ because of her love of the stars headed towards the train station and boarded their train. Nova had never been on the train before so she had a hard time sitting still, to keep her entertained Red told Nova more stories about his child and wife and about the camp he was building saying that she could also be a very important member of the camp if she truly wanted too.
They had arrived at Ponyville early the next morning. After a couple hours on the train and a short carriage ride later they had arrived at the gates of the camp.
“DADDY!” Nova jumped at the sudden sound and turn just in time to see a small grey blur run towards Big Red and jump on him “I’ve missed you!”
“Hello Sweetie” the voice of an angel Nova thought to herself as she watched the white unicorn come and kiss her husband
“Who is this?” she said sweetly looking over at Nova who was hidden behind Red. Big Red explained the entire situation to his wife and daughter.
“SO I GET TO HAVE A SISTER?” Silver yelled excitedly. Big Red only chuckled “Only if Nova wishes to stay with us, what do you say Nova?”
After some thought and after hearing all the good things, Nova finally found that maybe she could have the family she always dreamed of one that wouldn’t hurt her, or call her names or anything she’d finally found her home and to make things better the stars where even brighter here! This was it she thought hard, this is my new home. All she could think to do was scream “YES! I’d Love to stay with you!”
With a huge smile and snuggle from his wife, Willow was the first to speak “Well it seems we have a new daughter then” next thing Nova knew she’d been lifted on Willow’s back and the little family with its newest member headed back to their home.
Weeks had passed since Nova was taken in by her new family and the little filly couldn’t be happier she had parents and a sister. They had celebrated her birthday (two weeks after her new sisters) and given her a painting kit so she could paint the stars like she always wanted too which made her even happier. Everything finally seemed to be fine for Nova, no more hunting for food no more getting wet in the rain. She was home, and she was going to stay there.
~~~~
“That’s it. That’s my story.” Nova said while staring off into the clouds, she hadn’t noticed she’d been watching them for awhile she also didn’t notice the unicorn beside her had only been staring at her and hung on to her every word.
“That is amazing, but I have one question.” Comet replied.
“What’s that?” with a puzzled look on Nova’s face she wondered what on earth he could have to ask
“Well if you didn’t know your own name or anything how did you know when you’re birthday was? I mean it didn’t seem like your real parents would have celebrated it”
“Oh they didn’t I only knew because the same day every year they would tell me how big of a mistake I was and about how I ruined their lives. So when Red asked me if I knew my birthday I sorta had an idea. It was a sad day back then but now I look forward too it.” Nova smiled brightly at her friend.
Comet couldn’t help but smile back. Both friends just stared into the clear blue sky together forgetting about everything but enjoying every moment after all if what happened hadn’t had happened they wouldn’t be friends, wouldn’t be having this moment together everything just seemed perfect to them.
“Hey Love birds!” the yell snapped both of them out of their day dream as they turned to see Silver standing behind them
“You know we still have work to do right? Your class starts in 20 minutes Comet and Nova there are some clouds that near clearing.”
“Yes Ma’am!” Comet and Nova saluted at the same time, the three of them couldn’t help but start laughing as they trotted off together to do their duties.
