Trixie's Epic Battle With Celestia

by Mike the Red

Chapter 1: Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely

Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely

It had been about three years or so since I had last seen Discord.  I had been in Twilight Sparkle's body the entire time, even after giving birth to a foal for him.  Now he had returned, wanting a second foal.  I gave him certain requests as payment for providing him with a second foal and initially he balked at all my requests, though upon further consideration he acquiesced to the terms I had laid out.  I thought I had asked for too much, but upon accepting my demands, I informed him that I needed some time to prepare myself.

For those three years as Twilight, I was living in a nice house I had been provided as a gift from Discord.  I had enjoyed myself doing all the things I had wanted to do while I was a human;  I had money I could use to buy whatever I wanted, furnished my house with whatever I wanted, traveled wherever I wanted.  It had always been a dream of mine to life the life of Reilly, but that was about to change.  One day I had turned my TV to a news channel and saw that I was being sought for arrest for the commission of crimes against peace and genocide -- my earlier actions on behalf of Discord resulted in the deaths of five billion people as I had been the catalyst behind a cascading series of events which culminated in a world-wide nuclear exchange.  I had decided to take my mind off this by retreating into my music, firing up my karaoke machine and singing some of my favorite songs.  At some point during one of those songs, the dragonequus made his return.

"Well, hello there, Twilight, what's going on?  How's the world been treating you?" he asked, grinning broadly.

"Could be better.  Looks like I'm a fugitive now," I replied glumly.

"Hmm.  I have ways of fixing that," he chuckled.

"What, like changing my identity?  I enjoy being Twilight," I stated flatly.  "Though thanks to you, I've thoroughly destroyed Twilight Sparkle's name and reputation and I'm not sure how to deal with all that international attention being focused on me."

"Well, allow me to assist you in that matter, Twilight!" he chuckled and waved his lion's paw at me.  I saw my reflection in the mirror change as my body was transformed from Twilight Sparkle into the Great and Powerful Trixie.  I was stunned to see this change, and glared at the dragonequus.

"OH NO YOU DIDN'T!" I shouted at him.  He chuckled in response to my outburst.

"Do you not like this change?  As Trixie, you no longer have to worry about being sought as an international fugitive from justice," he said almost dismissively.

"This change is going to affect the foal I carry for you, isn't it?" I asked.

"You seem to forget, Trixie, that I can predetermine the outcome of that event," he grinned.

"But Trixie's magic is not as strong as Twilight's!" I protested.

"If you don't think your magic is up to snuff, have this," he stated, tossing a small trinket in my direction, which I caught with my telekinesis.  I levitated it in front of me to examine it more closely.

"Is this what I think it is?" I queried.  "Where did you get this?"

"Yes it is, and I'm not at liberty to divulge its origin," he replied flatly.  "Be careful how you use that, Trixie.  That amulet augments your power, but it also corrupts your soul.  Pick your battles carefully!" he chuckled, then teleported back to his lair.

I spent quite a bit of time just looking at the talisman, examining it in my aura, flipping it over, and admiring its beauty.  The red diamond which dominated the obverse impressed me, and its black and red color scheme set the silver off very nicely.  Considering those were my favorite colors, I tried it on to see how it might feel.   Upon placing the amulet around my neck, I could feel the power flowing through my body, making me feel extremely strong, very powerful, almost invincible.  I removed it and set it on my TV stand for later use.  I contemplated the thought of providing Discord with a second foal and had to stifle a gag reflex.  What have I gotten myself into? I thought to myself.  Why on Earth did I ever agree to do that for him?  Why does he have to be so damned UGLY?  I hope the second one turns out prettier...

As the thoughts ran through my head, I decided to write a letter to Princess Celestia, asking for advice and answers to my predicament.  Using my telekinesis, I put pen to paper and wrote my letter.  Sometimes my thoughts could be a jumble and I ended up making several different drafts before I finally settled on something halfway decent to say to the Princess.  I rolled the finished letter into a tube and fastened it with a piece of string.  I then decided to try to open a portal to Celestia's throne room to send the letter, but my magic wouldn't let me do that -- as Trixie, my magic was rather limited, which made me feel disappointed.  I retrieved the amulet and put it back around my neck, feeling the surge of power course through my body once again.  It was an extremely intense sensation, one which seemed to activate my pleasure center as well.

Why open a portal when you can simply teleport to Equestria? I thought to myself, grinning as the amulet seemed to respond to my thoughts as well.  I closed my eyes and focused on the tree which served as Library and home to Twilight.  My horn flashed a bright red as did the amulet as I blinked out of existence for a split-second, assaulted by the blinding whiteness of the space between dimensions before blinking back into existence in front of the Golden Oaks Library.  I knocked on the door and Spike answered it.

"Trixie?  What do you want, you troublemaker?" the dragon asked.  A voice came from upstairs.

     "Spike?  Who is it?"

"It's Trixie, and I'm trying to get rid of her," he replied.

"Don't you remember?  I forgave her," the librarian stated and exited her home.  "Trixie?  What brings you back here?  Why are you wearing that amulet?  I thought you gave it up!  Don't tell me you stole it from Zecora!" the lavender mare exclaimed in exasperation.

"Tell me something, Twilight -- do you remember the name of Michael Walker?" I asked.  She had to think for a moment or two.

"Hmm.  If I remember correctly ... the last time somepony with that name was here, he looked like me," she mused.  "But that doesn't explain your new appearance or why you have the Alicorn Amulet."

"Uh, yeah -- about that -- Discord changed my appearance earlier today, just a couple of hours ago -- in fact, I was still in your body.  Discord also gave me this amulet so I could use stronger magic.  I was not able to open a portal to this world on my own, but with the amulet, I was able to do so," I explained.

"Why would he do that?  Isn't that going to attract him to this world?"

"I don't know -- I came here to send a letter to the Princess, and I was wanting to know if Spike could send it for me," I stated flatly, holding the letter with my telekinesis, though the aura surrounding the letter was a red one, my horn and eyes glowing red as well.

"I don't like the fact that your magic aura is red -- that's a danger sign," Twilight said, some worry creeping into her voice.  "But I don't see why you can't send her the letter.  Spike!  Send Trixie's letter."

"Sure thing, Twi.  You sure you don't wanna give it the once-over to check for spelling?" he grinned.

"Okay, let's see," she said, unrolling the paper and reading aloud.  She chuckled a couple of times upon reading the letter and gave it back to her assistant.  "I can't believe Discord wants a second foal!  Okay, Spike, go ahead and send it.  I'm sure Princess Celestia could use a few laughs," she said, grinning.  The dragon took a deep breath, holding my letter at arm's length, then blew his green flaming breath, turning the paper to ash as it was sent.  The Princess' response was quite swift, taking less than a minute as Spike belched out the parchment and opened it.  He handed the letter to the librarian, who read it aloud.  There were a few moments' pause as an awkward silence fell upon us.  I lost myself in thought, processing the words of the letter.

"Michael?  I've read Princess Celestia's response to your letter.  So what are you going to do?" asked Twilight.

"I'm still weighing my options -- I need to talk to her face to face, I need answers!  I can't believe she would actually threaten my life!" I stated almost angrily, my eyes flaring a bright red for a split-second.

"She gave you fifteen minutes to leave, Michael -- she might make her appearance sooner than that!  Don't make her angry, please!  I know you probably mean well, but she has her reasons for what she says!  She's been alive many times longer than you have, and I would never have cause to doubt what she says!" the librarian explained in her exasperation.

"Yeah, Trixie, so why don't you make like a tree and split?" asked the dragon.

"I told you, I need answers, and what the Princess gave me in response was a GTFO of Equestria instead.  I'm not gonna take that!" I retorted, my anger flaring again, my eyes flashing red for a split-second.

"I thought I told you to leave," came a different voice, one belonging to a certain Solar Princess.  "Yet you have chosen not to.  Why are you still here?  Why have you disobeyed me?"

"Your Majesty, Princess Celestia," I stated.  "I have come seeking advice and answers.  I felt that your response to my letter was somewhat less than satisfactory."

"Your continued presence is interfering with certain plans I have in place to capture a certain very powerful entity who runs freely in your world.  You would do well to return to your homeworld as soon as possible -- unless you wish to challenge me in battle?"

While she was talking to me, my anger rose in response to her admonition, my eyes glowing red as the power of the amulet began to take root in my soul.  I felt its corrupting influence, but I paid it no heed as my anger turned to fury.  I was being manipulated as though I were nothing but a pawn for this Alicorn!  I was not going to take it!

"You mean to tell me I am little more than a chess piece for you?  What is your little game?  What role does your faithful student play in all this?  Is she to be your replacement someday?" I asked almost sarcastically.  I saw the librarian's jaw drop open for a second before she regained her composure, the dragon still standing slack-jawed as well.

"My motives and actions are my own and are NOT to be questioned!  Least of all by somepony who is responsible for the death of five billion of your own species!" the Alicorn growled at me, her eyes flashing a bright white.

"Princess Celestia!  Please!  She's just trying to goad you into attacking her!" the librarian pleaded.

"I see you wear a certain trinket, one which gives you what you think is great power.  Do you seriously think that such a talisman would grant you power greater than mine?  I have the power of the Sun at my disposal!  Think about that before you make a rash decision!"

I narrowed my eyes to slits, the amulet tainting my aura blood red.  I snarled at her.  "You threatened my life!  How do you think that make me feel?  You dare?  I don't care HOW powerful you are!  No pony threatens MY LIFE!!" I screeched.

"I do as I please, little pony!  I gave you fair warning, yet you have disobeyed me!  I will NOT tolerate THAT!!" she bellowed in her Royal Canterlot Voice, stunning me for a moment.

I quickly regained my composure and flashed an evil grin at her.  The amulet was feeding my fury and making me more powerful, or at least it felt like that.  "Why won't you give me some answers?  What is so important you have to keep it secret?  Why won't you tell me?  WHY?!"

"I thought I already told you!  My little ponies trust me to tell them the truth!  I always do!  I ask you why it is you do not trust me!" she bellowed.

"You just think you tell them the truth -- you rationalize your actions by justifying the ends by whatever means are necessary to achieve the desired end result!  You disgust me!" I shouted back as my entire body started glowing an angry red.  It was at this point that I thought I heard this music start playing.  The Princess eyed me warily, trotting around me in a circle.  I slowly turned, keeping my eyes on her the whole time.  I caught Twilight out of the corner of my eye expressing deep concern and worry as my aura started glowing brighter, tendrils of red and white magic flaring angrily from my horn.

"As I told you before, little pony, my actions and motives are NOT TO BE QUESTIONED!!" the Alicorn bellowed in her RCV once again, seemingly in an attempt to get me to stand down.  My fury was beginning to turn to rage as I readied an attack spell against her, the tendrils of magic emanating from my horn growing larger and longer, the sheer power being given off by this display causing Twilight's expression to change to one of shock.  A certain pink earth pony pulled a chair from seemingly out of nowhere and a bag of popcorn as well.  She sat down in the chair and started eating her popcorn.

"Hey, Twiley, what'd I miss?  This is pretty cool, huh?  I can't believe Trixie is that strong!" Pinkie giggled.

"Pinkie Pie!  This is not the time for that!" the lavender mare exclaimed in exasperation.  A certain azure unicorn mare trotted up to Twilight to witness the commotion.

"Trixie wants to know who that impostor is," she mused.

"That's supposed to be a male human in your body -- says his name's Michael Walker or something.  The Princess will put him in his place!" the librarian stated firmly.

"What if he wins?" the show-mare asked.

"He's not going to!" Spike shouted.

"He's being a big old Meanie McMeaniepants!  The Princess will stop him!" Pinkie exclaimed.

"What do you have to say for yourself, Celestia?" I asked, still watching her carefully.

"How dare you ask me something like that!  Do not dare to question me!  You don't have that right!" the Alicorn retorted angrily.  She lit her horn, glowing with four levels of golden aura as she readied something massive.  "So what are you going to do about that, little pony?"

"I will make you eat your words, Celestia!" I shouted as I launched my attack against her.  My horn glowed with three angry red auras, the attack appearing as a giant red sphere with white lightning bolts crackling within and shooting out of it at random intervals.  This sphere appeared to envelop the Alicorn and she cried out in surprise as she raised a barrier just in time to keep from being damaged.

"You impress me with your skill, little pony, but your attempt to injure me has failed.  You are hereby banished to the Moon!" she shouted, hitting me with her spell.  I tried to erect a barrier, but I was too late as I found myself being flung skyward at a ridiculous rate of speed.  Seconds later, I found myself trotting around in near total darkness on a rocky landscape, dust being kicked up by my hoofsteps.  I gazed out at the sky to see the Earth dangling close.

"And THAT is how I deal with troublemakers!" Celestia said to the assembled ponies who gasped at her display.  The Alicorn chuckled loudly and smiled as she had effectively dealt with me, or so she thought.

"NOOOO!!" I screamed.  My anger, fury and rage became so strong I willed myself to teleport back to Equestria.  Focusing on Twilight's tree, I screwed my eyes shut and lit my horn with four levels of angry red and white aura.  This was going to be the longest teleport I had ever attempted and I wasn't sure if it was even going to work, but I was so completely consumed by my rage that I was going to take out that damned bitch of an Alicorn, even if it was going to be the last thing I did!

Back in front of the library, this music started to play before the Alicorn took her leave.  The ominous overtones of the music caused everypony to stand still in anxious anticipation of some terrible event to occur.

Pinkie Pie's body started shuddering almost uncontrollably.  "Um, guys, I think there's a real doozy of a doozy coming!" the pink pony shouted.

"Trixie wants to know what that means!" the show-mare stated contemptibly.

"I've experienced Pinkie's 'doozies' before, Trixie -- I have a bad feeling about this," the librarian stated with some apprehension.

"There is no way any pony who has been banished to the Moon can return," the Solar Princess stated confidently.  "There's nothing he can possibly do to --"

The Princess' words were interrupted by my return.  My body was glowing a brilliant red and the music changed once again as this music started playing.  The Alicorn expressed shock at my appearance, my eyes flashing blood red.

"YOU -- INSUFFERABLE -- BITCH!!!" I screamed at her.  "NOPONY DOES THAT TO ME!!"  Using the distraction to my advantage, I caused a black disc to appear above the Alicorn.  It was large enough to envelop her, though it appeared to have no thickness to it.  Her form disappeared into the inky blackness that was this disc which diminished its diameter to a small black dot before disappearing completely.

"PRINCESS!  NOOOO!!" Twilight screamed.  Turning to me in anger, she lit her horn with four levels of magenta aura.  "HOW COULD YOU DO THAT?  WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HER?!"

It was at this point that Pinkie Pie reared up on her hind legs, folded up her chair and threw it at me as hard as she could, shouting "BOOOO!!" at me at the same time.  I grabbed the flying chair in my telekinsis and slammed it to the ground, glaring angrily at the pink party pony.

Before I could answer Twilight's question, a flash of white light and a golden POP alerted us to the Alicorn's return.  "So -- so -- c-c-cold," she muttered, her body shaking and shivering from the experience of being banished to the outer reaches of space.  Twilight rushed to her side.

"I thought he killed you, Princess!" the librarian exclaimed in relief, nuzzling her mentor warmly.  "Ooh, you're so cold!  What happened?"

"I teleported her about a billion light years away.  It would appear I didn't send her far enough out," I mused.  "I won't make that mistake again."  The music changed yet again, to this.

"I shall show you what your insolence will precipitate!" the Alicorn screeched, readying the biggest and most powerful display of magic I had ever seen.  A look of worry crept across my features as I readied my strongest barrier.  She let loose with what appeared to be a massive white sphere, radiating a great deal of heat and light bright enough to blind everypony present.  Even shielding my eyes wasn't sufficient to protect me, though I launched a counter-spell to negate the effect.  The resultant explosion of the magic interacting flung everypony back random distances, though the Alicorn seemed to travel the least -- even so, she had still been knocked back by the explosion.  My body impacted the side of a house, breaking a few ribs and my right hind leg.

I screamed in agony, but rose to my hooves as my adrenalin was now compelling me onward.  My aura flashed for a moment, then suddenly I felt my body healing itself up very swiftly.  I grinned as I felt not only good as new, but much stronger as well.  I slowly advanced on the Alicorn, who seemed to have suffered no injury from the explosion.  I reared up on my hind legs, crossing my forelegs at an angle to make a crude "X" with them and launched my strongest attack yet, screaming in primal fury as I launched an attack which was roughly the equivalent of a thousand Hiroshima bombs upon her.  An angry orange mushroom cloud appeared to bloom directly over her body as she crumpled to the ground under the impact of the spell.

"PRINCESS!!" the librarian screamed.   Once again, the student embraced her teacher, tears of rage falling from her eyes.  She turned towards me again, the tears streaming from her eyes, renewing her rage against me.  "HOW COULD YOU?!" she screeched.  The Princess stirred and moaned, coughing a little.

"What?  You're still alive?!  NOPONY survives my nuclear holocaust spell!  Twilight, get back from her!  I'm going to finish her off!  Unless you wish to join her!"

The lavender unicorn lit her horn with four levels of magenta aura and hit me with her strongest attack spell.  I felt my body being torn apart, molecule by molecule.  I screamed in rage as I focused every ounce of my body to reintegrate before I could be completely vaporized, counteracting Twilight's spell.  I appeared to change into an angry red ball of energy, then reappeared on the ground, huffing and sputtering in rage.

"HOW DARE YOU DO THAT TO ME!!" I screeched, launching a similar attack against the librarian, attempting to vaporize her body.  She deflected my attempt, which hit the upper part of the tree behind her, vaporizing a large chunk of it.  There was a scream from a hapless pegasus who happened to be flying too close to the action as she was vaporized as well.  Her deflection surprised me as she used a freeze spell against me.  I was ready for a counter-attack and absorbed her magic attack, adding the energy to my reserve.

"Twilight, stay your attacks," Celestia stated firmly.  "This one is mine."

"I can't believe you survived my spell!  Now DIE already, won't'cha!!" I screeched at her, hitting her with the nuclear holocaust spell again.  A look of sheer terror came across her face as she failed to block or deflect this attack -- she might have survived one nuclear holocaust blast, but two of them would prove to be her undoing.   Once again the music changed, as this particularly sad song started playing.  Celestia crumpled to the ground and this time did not rise as Twilight screamed, "NOOOOOOO!!" and rushed to her teacher's side.  The Sun fell from the sky, enveloping everything in inky pitch darkness.

"Who's going to raise and lower the Sun now?" the librarian screamed.

I reared up on my hind legs again, lighting my horn with my angry red aura, tendrils of white and red magic emanating brilliantly from it, illuminating the immediate area in an unearthly shade of red.  "Now I am the supreme ruler of all Equestria!  AH HAH HAH HAH!!" I cackled, exulting in my victory.  To illustrate my point, my horn glowed with four levels of angry red aura as I raised the sun back into place, though it had changed from yellow to blood red to match my aura.  The red sun gave everything a reddish tinge to it, coloring the sky an odd shade of purple.  The music stopped playing at this point.

"Trixie knew she was powerful, but she didn't know she was THAT powerful!" the show-mare exclaimed in shock.

Twilight screamed again, then disappeared as she teleported to various locations, bringing the other Element Bearers with her.  I was too obsessed with my victory to do anything other than gloat in exhortation.

This music started playing as I commanded everypony's attention.  "ATTENTION!!  ALL PONIES OF PONYVILLE!!  I AM YOUR NEW MASTER!!  YOU WILL RESPECT ME AS YOUR NEW PRINCESS!!" I bellowed, using magic to amplify my words, my eyes and horn glowing that same angry red as before.  The assembled ponies bowed before me, prostrating themselves in the eerie redness the sun's light cast on the town.  Trixie chose not to obey me and strode forward arrogantly.

"How DARE you MOCK the GREAT and POWERFUL TRIXIE!!  WHO do you THINK you ARE?!" she shouted at me.

"Oh, I see we have a neeeigh-sayer here!  Trixie, you'd better learn who your master is before I erase you from existence!  You are now MY impostor!" I shouted at the show-mare, flaring my anger at her.  Once again, red and white tendrils of magical energy arced angrily from my horn and the amulet, causing the azure unicorn to back away, trembling in fear.

     "T-t-trixie is sorry," she stammered.

"You are no longer permitted to call yourself by that name!" I shouted at her.  "That is MY name now!"

"But -- but -- y-you can't take away T-trixie's name!  You CAN'T!!" she screamed.  "What am I supposed to call myself now?"

"I just did!  You have no name now!  You are NOPONY!!" I shouted at her as she galloped away, tears streaming down her face as she sobbed loudly.  The music stopped again at this point.

It was at this moment that a certain indigo blue Alicorn finally decided to show up.  "YOU!!" she thundered in her Royal Canterlot Voice.  "HOW DARE YOU KILL MY SISTER!!" screeched the Lunar Princess, tears streaming down her face, an expression of pure rage coloring her features.

"Your sister THREATENED MY LIFE!!" I retorted angrily, amplifying my voice to match hers.  "I did what was necessary!"

"THOU SHALT PAY FOR THINE ACTIONS WITH THY LIFE!!" Luna screeched, readying her strongest magic attack.  Twilight returned with the other Element Bearers at this point.  "False Trixie!  The Elements of Harmony will put a stop to your reign of terror!" the Alicorn shouted at me upon seeing their arrival.

"Girls, take your positions!  Elements, engage the enemy!" Twilight shouted to her friends.  The six ponies took positions encircling me very quickly, their bodies levitating as their magic flowed from them and their necklaces, which seemed to suddenly appear from nowhere.  The rainbow-hued magic swirled, enveloping me before I had a chance to react.

I didn't even get the chance to scream, "NOOOO!!" as the rainbow-hued vortex enveloped me completely, swirling around me, spinning me around so fast I became dizzy.  The amulet I was wearing broke apart into several pieces, the red diamond shattering into thousands of tiny fragments.  My body was transformed into my original human form as the levitating ponies descended to the ground, their magic energy having been spent using the Elements against me.  I stood for a moment, then collapsed to the ground.  The red Sun fell below the horizon, suddenly enveloping everything in darkness again.  Luna used her magic to raise her Moon, casting an eerie pale glow to everything.  She slowly trotted over to my body and nudged me with her muzzle.

"What manner of creature might YOU be?" she asked warily, keeping her guard up just in case I had something else up my sleeve.  I was completely naked and turned to meet her steely gaze.  I pushed myself off the ground with my hands, noticing the changes which had taken place and sat up.

"I am a human -- Homo sapiens -- and I have come from a human home world to seek asylum, answers, or advice.  At least, that was my original purpose.  That amulet corrupted my soul and caused me to commit some atrocious acts," I stated flatly.

"YOU KILLED MY SISTER!!" she screamed in my face.

"Wait, wait!  Please let me explain!  I never meant to do that!  She threatened my life!" I protested.

"You claim this, but do you have proof?  Even if you do, your life is still forfeit!"

Twilight trotted over to me slowly.  "Who are you?" she asked hesitantly.

"My name is Michael Walker," I replied flatly.

"Oh, so THAT'S what you look like as a human.  I was wondering about that.  Princess Luna, do something about him!  He killed Princess Celestia!"

"Michael Walker.  You are under arrest for the murder of Princess Celestia.  Your punishment is death by lethal injection, sentence to be carried out tomorrow morning at 7:00.  Do you have anything to say in your defense?" asked the Alicorn.

"Your Majesty, I am deeply sorry for committing those acts.  I know it is too late to ask for leniency or clemency, so I am willing to accept my fate.  Please understand it was never my intention to kill her," I stated softly.

"That's immaterial!  Apologies will not bring back my sister!" the Alicorn exclaimed through fresh tears as she enveloped my body in her deep blue aura and teleported me to a dungeon cell in Canterlot Castle.  I lay on the cold floor, awaiting my fate which would be coming soon enough.  In a twist of irony, Twilight visited me at my cell.

"What do you want, Twilight?" I asked her.

"I want to know why you killed my teacher," she stated flatly.

"I will tell you what I told Luna -- she threatened my life.  She sent me to the Moon, of all places!  She tried to kill ME!"

"There had to be another way, Michael!  WHY?!" the lavender unicorn sobbed as the memory of seeing her mentor fall renewed itself.

"I'm sorry, Twilight.  There was no other way.  It matters little to me now, as I am to be put to death for killing her," I said softly.

"Who's supposed to raise the sun?" she asked again.

"What do your history books tell you about that?  Who raised the sun before Celestia began doing so?" I queried.  The librarian paused in deep thought for a few minutes.

"Oh.  That's right.  A group of unicorns was responsible for that -- we didn't need an Alicorn for that," she mused softly.  "I'd better get going before I am tempted to kill you out of rage for what you did," she said softly and left.

     -----------------------------

Sleep was impossible on the cold damp dungeon floor.  I tossed and turned fitfully, my mind racing as it replayed the events over and over again in my mind.  Oddly enough, Discord decided to show his face in my cell.

"Well, well -- looks like you did the impossible!" he chuckled.  "I didn't think that little amulet gave you that much power!"

"Leave me alone, leave me to my fate," I said flatly.

"Oh, no, we can't have that!  You promised me a second foal, and I'm going to get it, no matter what your appearance is!  We made a deal and I'm holding you to it!  What you choose to do after that is your prerogative, but until you satisfy MY demands, you're not going out like this!" he stated almost angrily.  He took my right hand gruffly in his lion's paw and teleported me back to my home on Earth.  For good measure, he transformed me back into a copy of Twilight Sparkle's body.

"One more thing -- as I'm sure you're well aware, we have to get this over and done with rather quickly.  Since you have committed certain actions which have displeased me, you're going to give me a second foal and you're going to get nothing in return!  In addition to that, I'm going to make things rather painful for you!  I'm sure you'll understand, won't you?  Not that there's anything you can do about it ..."

"What if I refuse?  What then?" I asked.

"You underestimate my determination, Twilight!  I get what I want, make no mistake!  If you refuse, I'll take what I want by force!  There is nothing you can do to prevent me from getting what I want!" he shouted at me angrily.

I sighed dejectedly, considering my fate.  An awkward silence fell between us as I gauged his expression.  He eyed me cautiously, though he maintained a smile.  I heard the ocean's waves gently crashing on the shore, giving me an inspiration.    I'll be damned if I give you what you want, you asshole! I thought as I started galloping towards the wall of windows overlooking the Pacific Ocean.  One of the windows was wide open, leading to the cliff, a hundred foot drop to the beach below.  I sped up my pace, taking the dragonequus by surprise as I reached the edge of the cliff before he could fathom my intent.  I leaped off the edge, allowing the force of gravity to pull my equine body to the sandy surface of the beach a hundred feet below my house.  I landed hard on my right side, the fall proving to be fatal.

"NOOOOO!!" the dragonequus shouted as he saw me fall.  "You can't give up like that!  NOOOO!!"  He teleported to my lifeless body, holding it close, tears falling from his eyes.  "WHYYYY?!?" he screamed as he cradled my head in his lion's paw.  The only answer he received was the gentle crashing of the waves against the shore, the sun shining in a cloudless sky mocking the anguish he felt at being denied his desire.
