Being an alicorn - similar of becoming a god or goddess is a wonderful thing. You get to see everything change around you. Time passes over you, the clock of death going much slower. But with this 'immortality'; it's both a blessing and a curse for Twilight Sparkle.
She gets to see everything that's going to come and experience it. But in another future, the inevitable comes for all her friends. The thing that she would never want to see.
It comes and she can't do anything about it.
She'll have to deal with the pain forever.
