Chapter 3: Rainbow Dash
Previous ChapterWell, fine. If they don't want to read my story... suit themselves! They're going to miss the most amazing, action-packed story ever. EVER, I say. EVER!
Whatever.
So, where do I start? Oh. I know.
-------------------
The zombies were surrounding her. Rainbow Dash grinned and stepped forward, challenging the undead with her eyes, "Just TRY to hurt ME!" She taunted. A long groan came from each creature as they moved forward. Rainbow Dash rushed forward into the largest zombie, kicking him with her strong hooves. Almost instantly he fell to the ground and blew up. She turned to the others and began to twirl quickly, faster and faster. She flashed around the room, now taken the shape of a tornado. The monsters were thrown back and each blew up, too. Rainbow Dash suddenly stopped and ran up to a pedestal in the middle of the room.
On top of the pedestal was a gold statue of a rainbow. But as she walked up to the pedestal, her hoof hit a button on the floor! The button set off a cage, which fell from the ceiling and kept the statue just out of reach. Rainbow Dash groaned in irritation. A key hole in the cage gleamed brightly. She nodded, knowing what to do immediately. One of the zombie things was carrying the key! Rainbow Dash used her zoom-in special power and searched the dust... the only remains of the zombies she had blown up. Out of the dust a gold key glinted and she grabbed it.
She used the key to unlock the cage. A door opened up and she reached in, grabbing the statue and throwing it into her bag. She had won!
Victory was hers.
She started home, a smile on her face.
THE END
--------------------
Hate to intrude but... why was she there? What was the statue all about? You forgot the... oh, I don't know... PLOT.
Eh. That stuff is boring.
I'm sorry, Rainbow Dash, but a good story requires a plot!
Ugh. I thought that was a pretty good story.
Also, I think your character was way too powerful. If the quest is too easy, the story isn't any fun!
Geez, Twilight. Thanks for ruining my story.
Sorry! I didn't mean to ruin your story! I was just trying to help. Add some kind of plot and this story will be much more fun. Oh, and a challenge... Okay?
Sigh. Fine.
--------------------
Rainbow Dash walked home, charging through a long tunnel. Suddenly, a giant boulder fell down and slowly started to roll through the tunnel and towards Rainbow Dash. It became faster and faster and Rainbow Dash screamed, turning around and running down the tunnel to where she came from.
---------------------
This is very nice, Rainbow Dash.
Thanks-
But...
Oh no...
I think you're stealing a part in the Dashing Doo book... Book 3: Pony of The Lost Statue.
Wait, that happens in the book? I haven't even gotten to that part yet, Fluttershy!
O-Oh... D-D-Did I just spoil the story for y-you?
No duh.
Please don't be mad! Are you mad? Don't be mad. I'm sorry. Please...
Let me just finish the story.
O-O-Okay. But are you mad-?
------------------------
Rainbow Dash ran as fast as she could, the boulder catching up with her quickly. She closed her eyes tightly, wishing that it would all end. As she did so, she remembered why she even wanted the statue in the first place. This gold was worth millions of Equestria bits. With the money she could open up her own detective agency and help others. She would make her father proud, who once long ago wanted her to open her own shop.
She opened her eyes, feeling the blood in her veins boil. No way would she lose to this giant boulder. Rainbow Dash picked up her speed and got away from the boulder. She finally escaped into the large room and the boulder rolled by, crushing the pedestal and crashing into the wall. She sighed with relief as the sweat dripped down her snout. She walked back down the tunnel. Suddenly, a large, menacing crack came from behind. The crack crept through the ceiling and large rocks began to fall. "NO!" Rainbow Dash shouted, sprinting through the tunnel.
This was the last time she could run. Her heartbeat grew faster, her breath grew raspy. She was quickly growing tired, and dodging the falling rocks was growing hard. Eventually the entire ceiling would collapse and she wouldn't be able to dodge that.
A light came from the end of the tunnel. Escape. So close. It came closer and closer, but another giant crack came from above. Tears slid down from her eyes. Soon it would be the end. Her legs began to ache, but she couldn't stop running. And suddenly... she was out. The light shined down on her as she slid out into the open. Behind her, a large crash echoed. The tunnel was blocked off by hundreds of small boulders. Rainbow Dash collapsed onto the green grass, gasping for breath.
Months later she found a way to open up her own shop. Everything was good and she continued to go on adventures.
THE END. REALLY THIS TIME.
--------------------------
Wow. That was perfect. Seriously Rainbow Dash... I didn't expect such good work!
Yes, it was.
Yep sirree!
I agree immensely.
Yeppity, yep, yep!
Thanks but... didn't you all leave?
We did. But now we're back.
OK then. But you're not very loyal. You didn't stick around...
It's mah turn tah write a story!
Yeah, but I was kind of talking about loyalty and stuff. I was trying to make a nice speech.
Ah sure dunno what tah write about...
Um. Speech?
Just write what you feel in your heart!
Hmm. 'Kay.
Nobody listens to me.
