The ponies decide to write a story... about stuff.

See what happens when Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie find a computer, the internet, and decide to write their own fanfiction

Rarity

All right. Now where do I begin? What shall I write about? Hmm... Just give me a moment. I promise this will only take a second, and the outcome with be splendid!

Of COURSE! A romance! I might have not gotten a prince, but that doesn't mean, uh, Marity can't have one, right? Ahem, now the story can begin. Brace yourselves for the most elegant, romantic story you have ever read. It's going to be truly fantastic.

Hiya, Rarity! Whatcha doin?!

Oh dear... Pinkie Pie, I'm writing a story.

What's this thingy majiggy? Wowwy! You can write a story on that fancy thing?

Sigh. It's called a computer, darling.

Ohhhhhh, can I write a story?

No, I'm writing mine!

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww-

Fine! After me.

Yay! I'm going to write about the most fantastical, amazingcal, terrifical party in the whole wide world!

Yes, I'm sure you will, Pinkie Pie, but would you mind if I wrote my story first? I'm in the middle of something here.

Okie dokie lokie! I'll just come every couple of minutes and ask you when you're done!

Sigh.

----------------------------

Marity stood in the beautiful moonlight, her gorgeous blue mane gleaming in the night. She waited for her handsome, kind, loving, perfect prince to come. He was never late and always on time, because that is what a good prince is REALLY like. Her gown hovered as the light breeze blew. Her patience was slowly dying as the minutes ticked by, but the prince was still not late... she was just so excited to see her love.

And then the clippity-clop of her prince's hooves came from behind. She swung around frantically, just so she could look into his hypnotic, blue eyes. She smiled and ran towards him. He ran towards her. Everything went into a dramatic and romantic slow motion. A sweet song filled their ears as they grew closer and closer to meeting in the middle.

---------------------------

Eeeeeyuck! They aren't gonna kiss or anything right?
Ugh, Rainbow Dash, that's the best part! It shows their love for each other.
Kissing's gross. You should just, I dunno, make this story 20% cooler. Y'know skip the whole sloppy lovey dovey part and go on to the part where they fight dragons!
Look, Rainbow Dash, if you're so uninterested in MY story, why don't you just NOT read over my shoulder?
I've got nothing better to do. Hey, can I write story?
Sure, Dashie! You can write one after me! Guess what I'm gonna write about, huh, huh?
Let me guess: a huge party?
Wowwy! You're so good at this game!
It's really not that hard to guess with you.
Ahem, I'm kind of in the middle of something here.

---------------------------

Anyway, after greeting each other sweetly, they walked upstairs from the ballroom they were in. In the room above was a really nice dinner for two. Candles lit the room with its soft flames. Flowers trailed all over the floor. Prince smiled and sat down with Marity, but first pulling out her seat like a gentleman. She fluttered her eyes cutely and he chuckled, "So, Marity, my parents won't allow me see you. This secret meeting could be dangerous."

"I'll do anything to see you, my love!"

"Me as well, but we must be careful."

"I know."

A short, purple dragon with green scales walked into the room with a nice tuxedo on. He carried a tray and carefully placed it on the table. It was filled with cupcakes made by one of Marity's friends, uh, Penny Pipe. They began to eat, never looking away from each other's eyes. Eventually all the cupcakes disappeared from the plate, and they were left to sit with filled bellies. Slowly they started to inch towards each other and rub their noses together. They stepped down from their chairs and walked out onto the terrace. Marity stood in Prince's warm embrace and they watched the full moon, counting the stars together.
Suddenly, from inside, hoofsteps could be heard. Marity gasped and Prince turned around, "We can't be seen together!" He said, hiding her protectively. She cowered behind him, holding her breath carefully. A pony walked out onto the terrace, "Prince. Who are you with? Who is the pony?"

"Nopony."

"Uh... You set up a romantic dinner for yourself?"

"Yup."

"...."

An awkward silence followed until the guard finally said quietly, "I won't question your ways, Prince. Enjoy yourself." He started to turn, but Marity sneezed softly. The guard glared over at the Prince and Marity silently wished she hadn't chosen her feather dress to wear that night.
"Who is with you, Prince?!"

"Nopony. That was me. Er... Achoo."

"Yeah right. Step away. You know you are an Alicorn and destined to marry another Alicorn."

"Pssh, like there are any Alicorn's around here!"

"Princess Celestia is the one you are to marry."

"She's just a stuck-up snob!"

---------------------------------

Ahem. What?
Oh, Twilight Sparkle, I'm sorry. It's just a part of the story.
Princess Celestia is the best princess ever!
She is, Twilight! It. Was. Just. Part. Of. The. Story!
You know what? I'm going to make my own story! All about how amazing Princess Celestia is.
Oh no. A story filled with history.
It will be good. You'll see. It's going to be the best story ever! Heh.
Yeah. Right. Count me out.

---------------------------------

"Just. Step. Away."

Prince froze before jumping at the guard. Before any violence could ensue, the guard screamed and ran away and downstairs. Prince turned and walked up to Marity who watched him lovingly, "That was so brave."

"But he got away..."

"You still protected me."

"I know, but he can go tell everyone."

"Oh my gosh, you're right."

"We have to run away and be together!"

So they did. They got a sweet little cabin in a forest where they made a family, got married, and lived happily ever after.

----------------------------

Wait, wait, wait, waitwaitwaitwaitwait! That's it?
Yep. That's how I wanted my story to go! Isn't it just so romantic? Hey! Why do you care?
Well, y'know, it was actually getting kinda interesting. Do any guards come after them? Maybe ninja ponies or something? He could fight them off and "show his love" for Marity. Something cool like that.
Well, that was it. He already showed his love with that one guard.
Stupid.
It wasn't stupid! It was romantic.
It was really nice, Rarity! It just needed a party and stuff! Wait. It's my turn isn't it? Yay! I'm going to write a story! Yay, yay, yay!
Eh... fine Pinkie Pie.
Howdy y'all. What's all this speaking 'bout stories? Oh, hey. Is that a computer? Are ya writing on that computer?!
Yes and you can write a story, too, OK?
Well... great! Ah wasn't gonna ask or nothin' but thank you kindly!
May I write one too, please? It's okay if not. I'm really alright with that. I-I just won't write one. That's okay.
No, No. It's fine, Fluttershy. You can write one, too. You can ALL write one. Even you Spike.
Uh, alright? I wasn't really paying attention.

Pinkie Pie

Alright, Pinkie Pie. Have fun.
Okie dokie lokie, Rarity! This will be great!
Heh... SURE will.
Now shhhhhhhhhhhhh! Shh. I'm going to write now, I need absolute complete silence so I can concentrate!
'Kay.
Shhhh!

-----------------------------

It was the prettiest day in the history of all of Equestria. It was so pretty and Pinkie Pie was super duper excited! And I mean REALLY excited! So what else could a pony do on a day like that besides celebrate? And what's the bestest way to celebrate ever? Right! A PARTY! Pinkie Pie ran to all her friends house and invited them to super secret party that nobody could know about, not even her friends.

-----------------------------

Uh, Pinkie? If not even your friends could know why did you just tell-
Shhhhhhhhh! Concentrating.

-----------------------------

So once all her friends knew she ran back to her house and got it all really nice and pretty and party-like. It was ready by the time the a knock came at the door. Pinkie Pie bounced to the door and opened it up, welcoming all her friends in. They hopped inside, and Dashie said really happily, "Wow, Pinkie this is the bestest most terrific party in the whole wide world! Thanks so much for inviting us to your secret party!"

"You're welcome! Let's dance!"

And they all danced.

"Let's drink punch!"

And they all drank punch.

"Let's eat cupcakes!"

And they all ate cupcakes.

"Let's dance some more!"

And they all danced some more. Then they were all super pooped. The ponies all trudged home, tired but really happy. They said goodbye and Pinkie Pie hopped upstairs to her bedroom. She went to sleep and dreamed about the next party that they would all go to.

THE END!

We should.
Ah second that.
Yes, let's go.
.....
Guys?

Rainbow Dash

Well, fine. If they don't want to read my story... suit themselves! They're going to miss the most amazing, action-packed story ever. EVER, I say. EVER!

Whatever.

So, where do I start? Oh. I know.

-------------------

The zombies were surrounding her. Rainbow Dash grinned and stepped forward, challenging the undead with her eyes, "Just TRY to hurt ME!" She taunted. A long groan came from each creature as they moved forward. Rainbow Dash rushed forward into the largest zombie, kicking him with her strong hooves. Almost instantly he fell to the ground and blew up. She turned to the others and began to twirl quickly, faster and faster. She flashed around the room, now taken the shape of a tornado. The monsters were thrown back and each blew up, too. Rainbow Dash suddenly stopped and ran up to a pedestal in the middle of the room.

On top of the pedestal was a gold statue of a rainbow. But as she walked up to the pedestal, her hoof hit a button on the floor! The button set off a cage, which fell from the ceiling and kept the statue just out of reach. Rainbow Dash groaned in irritation. A key hole in the cage gleamed brightly. She nodded, knowing what to do immediately. One of the zombie things was carrying the key! Rainbow Dash used her zoom-in special power and searched the dust... the only remains of the zombies she had blown up. Out of the dust a gold key glinted and she grabbed it.

She used the key to unlock the cage. A door opened up and she reached in, grabbing the statue and throwing it into her bag. She had won!
Victory was hers.
She started home, a smile on her face.

THE END

--------------------

Hate to intrude but... why was she there? What was the statue all about? You forgot the... oh, I don't know... PLOT.
Eh. That stuff is boring.
I'm sorry, Rainbow Dash, but a good story requires a plot!
Ugh. I thought that was a pretty good story.
Also, I think your character was way too powerful. If the quest is too easy, the story isn't any fun!
Geez, Twilight. Thanks for ruining my story.
Sorry! I didn't mean to ruin your story! I was just trying to help. Add some kind of plot and this story will be much more fun. Oh, and a challenge... Okay?
Sigh. Fine.

--------------------

Rainbow Dash walked home, charging through a long tunnel. Suddenly, a giant boulder fell down and slowly started to roll through the tunnel and towards Rainbow Dash. It became faster and faster and Rainbow Dash screamed, turning around and running down the tunnel to where she came from.

---------------------

This is very nice, Rainbow Dash.
Thanks-
But...
Oh no...
I think you're stealing a part in the Dashing Doo book... Book 3: Pony of The Lost Statue.
Wait, that happens in the book? I haven't even gotten to that part yet, Fluttershy!
O-Oh... D-D-Did I just spoil the story for y-you?
No duh.
Please don't be mad! Are you mad? Don't be mad. I'm sorry. Please...
Let me just finish the story.
O-O-Okay. But are you mad-?

------------------------

Rainbow Dash ran as fast as she could, the boulder catching up with her quickly. She closed her eyes tightly, wishing that it would all end. As she did so, she remembered why she even wanted the statue in the first place. This gold was worth millions of Equestria bits. With the money she could open up her own detective agency and help others. She would make her father proud, who once long ago wanted her to open her own shop.

She opened her eyes, feeling the blood in her veins boil. No way would she lose to this giant boulder. Rainbow Dash picked up her speed and got away from the boulder. She finally escaped into the large room and the boulder rolled by, crushing the pedestal and crashing into the wall. She sighed with relief as the sweat dripped down her snout. She walked back down the tunnel. Suddenly, a large, menacing crack came from behind. The crack crept through the ceiling and large rocks began to fall. "NO!" Rainbow Dash shouted, sprinting through the tunnel.

This was the last time she could run. Her heartbeat grew faster, her breath grew raspy. She was quickly growing tired, and dodging the falling rocks was growing hard. Eventually the entire ceiling would collapse and she wouldn't be able to dodge that.

A light came from the end of the tunnel. Escape. So close. It came closer and closer, but another giant crack came from above. Tears slid down from her eyes. Soon it would be the end. Her legs began to ache, but she couldn't stop running. And suddenly... she was out. The light shined down on her as she slid out into the open. Behind her, a large crash echoed. The tunnel was blocked off by hundreds of small boulders. Rainbow Dash collapsed onto the green grass, gasping for breath.

Months later she found a way to open up her own shop. Everything was good and she continued to go on adventures.

THE END. REALLY THIS TIME.

--------------------------

Wow. That was perfect. Seriously Rainbow Dash... I didn't expect such good work!
Yes, it was.
Yep sirree!
I agree immensely.
Yeppity, yep, yep!
Thanks but... didn't you all leave?
We did. But now we're back.
OK then. But you're not very loyal. You didn't stick around...
It's mah turn tah write a story!
Yeah, but I was kind of talking about loyalty and stuff. I was trying to make a nice speech.
Ah sure dunno what tah write about...
Um. Speech?
Just write what you feel in your heart!
Hmm. 'Kay.
Nobody listens to me.
