Chapter 1

Brrriingg!... Brrrriinggg!... Brrrriinnngg!... Brrriinnngg!... Bri-

Wham!

My hand collapsed down over my alarm clock, God I really need to change that alarm. I rolled over in my bed bringing up my arms; I rubbed my eyes and groaned.

I hate mornings...

After another minute of lying there, I sat up in my bed. Leaning over I picked my laptop up off the nightstand. Flipping up the monitor, I began my everyday morning routine of surfing the web and checking my email.

You’re probably wondering who I am and why the heck am I telling you about my morning. Well... My name is Lee James Harrison. Yeah, a mouthful isn't it? I’m a twenty-three year old guy majoring in Digital Graphic Designing. You know, like the guys who create video games and other arts. Oh yeah, I'm a gamer too. I’m also minoring in art. Not much, but it’ll help in the long run of my career path. I live in a little town called Dansville. It’s a small community, very nice place too. Lot’s of woods and lakes around here. Not much pollution either, unlike the big cities. I just like to sit on my back porch sometimes at night and take in the beauty of the stars. But enough of that, let us continue.

Typing in my Yahoo password, I noticed I had a message in the top right part of the screen. I hardly get any messages on my Yahoo account, due to me not being stupid and signing up for those inane forum websites or those mmorpg’s. Curious, I hovered my mouse cursor over it and clicked on the little envelope. Expecting it to just be spam, and boy was I hit with a wall of surprise.

It had the title of one of my favorite game companies, Blizzard. You know,  those guys who made the first two StarCraft games, and, one of my favorites, Diablo? Before getting overly excited, however, I took a deep breath.

This could just be some troll letter..., I thought, rolling my eyes I sighed, Ah, what the heck. Clicking on the message I began to read, slowly as my eyes continued to scan the screen. A small grin began to pierce my lips gradually, turning into a broad smile.

It was a email sent to me by one of the guys up in the company stating that they finished looking over my work that I sent to them a month ago, and they’re asking me to come down to New Jersey for a job interview. My hands began to shake due to how excited I was, but as quickly as the excitement came, it vanished. Glancing down at the clock at the bottom of the screen I frowned. I realized it was seven in the morning. “Oh yeah,” I said out loud to no one in particular. “I have morning classes in thirty minutes.” After a few seconds of letting that sink in, my eyes grew wide. “Oh crap I have morning classes!”  I slammed my laptop lid close, flinging my legs over the side of my bed I dashed my way towards my closet.

Quickly flinging my black jacket over my white polo. I fixed my red tie and placed on my black flat cap. I tied my shoes, then went to retrieve my bag. After grabbing my bag I made sure I had all my text books. I then took my charger out of my art tablet and placed it in my laptop bag with my laptop. The last thing I did before leaving is shove my phone in my pocket.

The sound of car honking its horn caught my attention. Glancing towards the window I grinned, I pulled my blinds up and looked out my dorm room window. Just outside was my best friend Kurt, in his old junky Thunderbird. Kurt waved to me from his car. I replied back by nodding my head, stepping back from the window I turned and made my way to the door.

:[-]:

I wrapped the seat belt around me and clicked it into place. “Alright lets do this.” I said, Kurt smiled, I grinned and looked over at my childhood friend.

“What's got you in such a good mood?” I asked. Kurt smile grew bigger while we backed out of the parking lot and began heading towards our morning classes.

“Todays the day brotha!” Kurt said in a crappy ghetto accent. Instantly I knew what he met. “Turf Wars Two came out today.” He said drumming on the steering wheel.

“Oh crap man you’re right.” I said looking out the window. The sky was clear and was blue as ever. Young adults all around were either heading to work or they too had classes they needed to be getting to. Looking around at the scenery I was still amazed at the beauty Dansville had to offer, the farmland and the woods were astounding. Unlike other towns I lived in before this, when you would walk outside and all you would smell is manure and cow. This one was different you step outside and it’s like,

Wham!

A wave of flowery smells invade your nose, and I’m not saying it’s a bad, it’s amazing. Of course, I wasn't born and raised here. I was raised in Paterson New Jersey, after graduating from high school I set off on my own. Following a few years of town hopping I found this place; which was the only town where I could afford to go to college. After a year Kurt moved in not too far from me, we both worked in a small office building in downtown as the mailmen.

Extremely boring job, it literally consisted of sorting out mail, and walking around for eight and a half hours straight distributing it between all the staff members. But hey, it’s better than nothing and it pays for my rent and other college bills. Speaking of education, like before I’m a sophomore majoring in digital graphics. Yeah that's mostly about it I enjoy video games and animation. I’m also minoring in Art. Honestly, I love art. If you were to give me a pen and paper and place me by a window for a few hours, when you came back and I’d have the entire outside scenery drawn and shaded. I mostly like to draw manga though; I’m just so fascinated by the Japanese comic book art. But yeah overall... life is going great for me.

“Hah! Man, I’m always right.” Kurt said taking a right turn, I snapped out of my stupor and glanced back at him.

“Oh really now?” I smiled,

“Of course,” He chuckled.

“Alright then, who lead Great Britain during World War II?” I asked grinning. Kurt frowned,

“Okay fine smart ass, I’m 99.9% right most of the time.” I laughed,

“So are you going to go see it?” I asked, Kurt raised an eyebrow,

“See what?”

“Turf Wars Two.” I reminded him. Kurt frowned,

“I would but the Hub is hosting a marathon of MLP later today.” I rolled my eyes and sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose. That show man, I’ve never actually watched an episode before except for a few parts the last time I went to Kurt’s apartment and it was on. But my God! I have nothing against it, frankly I hardly even know what’s it about! Seriously, what is so fascinating about little talking horses? Sorry, ponies. Come on! The only reason why I’m aggravated is because just recently I was on a new forum site for the upcoming game Star Citizen. It seems to have attracted a large mob of these... Agh... Bronies or whatever the hell they call themselves.

Kurt tells me I’ll like it because of the animation and art style, but I don’t buy it. Yeah, he’s my best friend and I shouldn’t even care about what he’s interested in, but whenever he’s talking about that show... I worry about him.

“Come on man,” I said fixing my flat cap. “Can’t you just record it or something?” I asked Kurt. He let out another aggravated sigh while we parked into a parking space right outside the school.

“I would,” He said “But all the space in the cable system has been taken up.” I raised an eyebrow,

“What could possibly take up so much space?” I asked gathering my belongings.

“Movies,” Kurt deadpanned.

“Oh...” I grunted. I flung my heavy bag over my right shoulder and placed my laptop bag on my left. And opened the car door, stepping out I shielded my eyes from the bright rays of the sun. The smell of flowers reaching my nostrils, I took in a deep breath and sighed.

“Well my friend, I guess this is time where we part ways.” Kurt said in a crappy excuse of a Russian accent while stepping out of the driver side he turned to look at me. I chuckled.

“Until Art class Comrade.” I replied back in a slightly better accent. Kurt laughed,

“Alright man see ya around.” He said grabbing his bag he began heading to class.

:[-]:

Stepping into my Digital Graphics class I took my seat. Opening my laptop bag I retrieved my laptop and tablet.

“Hello there Mr. Harrison.” Said a familiar voice behind me, plugging my tablet up into my laptop I replied,

“Hey teach, how’s it goin?” I said closing my bag and placing it to the side.

“It’s going good.” He replied. I turned my chair away from the computer and my eyes met with my teacher Mr. Briston, who just stood there like usual looking over us and our work,

“So what’s got you in such good mood Mr. Harrison? Usually when I see you come into my classroom you always look like you’re about to pass out.” he asked. I knelt down and opened my bag again to retrieve the pen I’d forgotten to get out earlier. Mr. Briston ran a hand through his grey hair,

“Well I received an E-mail this morning,” I said connecting the pen to the tablet.

“Oh really, who was it from?” He raised an eyebrow and began leaning up against the table right next to me,

“It was from Blizzard. They were asking if I could come down for a job interview.” Mr. Briston’s mouth fell agape.

“Th-that’s wonderful!” He said patting me on the back, “I hope everything goes good for you Mr. Harrison.” I smiled broadly,

“Thanks Mr. Briston I really appreciate your support.” My teacher chuckled,

“What exactly did they say?” He asked,

“Well,” I said turning on my laptop, “they said they reviewed my work and they loved it.” Mr. Briston nodded and patted me on the back again,

“Well again, Mr. Harrison I hope everything goes good for you.” He said again while turning back he began heading to the front of the room.

I was speechless. I didn’t know what to feel. Happy, excited, amazed, but there was one feeling I know I had at the moment. And that was, Pride.

“Congratulations Lee.” I jumped at the feeling of someone else  patting me on the back. Quickly I turned to see my friend Abigail . “Oh sorry didn’t mean to scare you.” She said taking a seat at the computer right next to me.

“Pssh... You didn’t scare me you just... Slightly startled me that’s all.” I jokingly said. Straightening myself up I stared at Abigail. She was the most beautiful girl I’ve seen in years, with long blonde hair and a nicely built body. Best of all, she had that perfect personality; she wasn’t no snobby prep or girly girl. No, she was one of them tomboys. You know the girls who aren’t afraid to get dirty. They like to play games with us guys. She’s also one of the nicest girls I met at this school. Yeah, I love Dansville, but I will have to say this. Most women here are jerks.

“So I heard Blizzard loves your work.” Abigail said while turning on her computer.

“So you heard?” I said typing my password in. Abigail chuckled,

“Well it’s not hard when you’re standing right behind the teacher.”

“I see.” I said opening up my project and started getting to work. I was in the middle of working on a flash animation project.

“Are you excited?” She asked leaning forward and getting to work on her tablet

.

“Are you kidding me? It’s Blizzard they’re one of my most favorite game company besides Remedy and Capcom. Like look at Diablo!” I said, with a grin.

“I don’t think I played that game before.” Abigail frowned, I dropped my pen and glanced up at her,

“You’re coming over later today.” I said.

“Wait what?” Abigail raised an eyebrow.

“You’re coming over and we’re going to play Diablo. I’m going to to show you why I love Blizzard so much.” I smiled, Abigail grinned,

“Alright just let me finish my project and I’ll come over later tonight.”

:[-]:

I love history class. I don’t know why, but it fascinates me so much. Seriously, if  I can’t get a job in the industry I want, I swear I might just become a history teacher. I’ve actually read my textbook from cover to cover. I know almost all of America’s history, at least the main parts of it.

I’m literally a walking textbook. The biggest thing though in history that I’m mostly fascinated in is probably both of the World Wars. I’m particularly intrigued by World War II though.

Overall though today was really going good for me. After history class I was sitting back in my chair in art class. After a good minute Kurt finally walked in. Placing his chair right next to me me. Kurt cracked his knuckles,

“Alright lets get cracking.” He oh so cleverly said, leaning over our life size portrait of Alan Wake, who was one of my all time favorite video game characters. Alan was standing a three quarter view wielding a revolver in his right hand and a flashlight in his left.

Just yesterday we finished sketching him out. Now all we need to do is outline him and color him in with paint. I’m okay with paint but, I prefer Kurt to do the painting. He’s a pro when it comes to color which is one reason why we both teamed up for this project.

“Sorry to bother you Mr. Harrison,” I stopped inking and turned to see my teacher Mr. Curry approaching us.

“No problem at all Teach what is it?” I asked,

“Well I just received a call from the Dansville art museum.” I smiled,

Oh this day just keeps getting better and better, I thought.

“What did they say?” I asked,

“Well they looked over your latest piece and they want to know if they could buy it off you.” The word “Buy” seemed to gain Kurt’s attention because he instantly shot up at the sound of the word. My smile grew wider,

“For how much?” Kurt asked, I glanced at him.

“Why do you ca-”

“Six thousand.” Mr. Curry said, my mouth dropped open at the number. Kurt grinned,

“Eh...” I didn’t know what to say,

“Make it ten and they gotta deal.” Kurt stood up,

“Mr. Key it’s Harrison’s piece not yours he should make the choice.” Mr. Curry said,

“Hey I’m just sayin,” Kurt said raising his hands, “I’m the one who painted it anyways.” Kurt turned back towards his project.

“He does have a point.” I said,

“Ten thousand it is then. I’ll go give them call and tell them.” He said making his way back towards his desk to make the call. Turning back towards Kurt we both shared a smile,

“We’ll split it five thousand each if they buy it.” I said, Kurt’s face lit up,

“Hell yeah man that’s what I’m talking about!” We both gave each other a high five.

“Heh, yeah...” I was happy, don’t get me wrong. I’ve been trying to get in for over two years now, I was actually excited. What was I going to do with all this extra money?

After that the day just seemed to get better and better...

Well so I thought, while Kurt and I were driving back to the dorms, so he could drop me off. Kurt decided that his car needed to be refilled. I agreed so Kurt made a left instead of a right towards the Sunoco Gas Station.

Kurt reached down and hooked his Mp3 player up to his radio, pushing a few buttons our most favorite song came, Gangsta's Paradise. “You ready for this?” He asked, bobbing his head to the beat. I nodded my head. Once Coolio started rapping I took lead, matching every word almost perfectly. I messed up occasional but we just laughed it off. Once the first verse ended Kurt took over singing the second part.

On the way there I received a phone call from my dad. I honestly don’t really hear from them that often. Last time I heard from my parents was about four months ago. “Hold on, pause the music Kurt.” Kurt nodded and stopped the song.

“Hhhhelllo!” I answered a little too happy, I was staring at the ten thousand dollar check in my hand with the largest smile on my face.

“Hey hows my boy doing?” My father asked excited and overjoyed as usual. I told my father about the money and my hopefully upcoming job.

“Th-that’s amazing!” My father stuttered. “I’m proud of you son.” He said, “H-....Hold on I need to get your mother. Annie pick up the other phone!” My dad muffled the phone and yelled.

“Hello?” My mother’s cheer filled voice came in again after explaining everything, Kurt made left a turn onto the bridge going over the river. I could see the Sunoco lights in the distance, “Well that’s nice to hear.” My mother said.”

“Well before we go son. I was wanting to ask you something.”

“What’s that?” I asked growing curious.

“Well me and your mother were talking and we wanted to know if you wanted to come to Flor-” My father was cut off due to Kurt screaming at the top of his lungs.

"JESUS CHRIST!!”

My eyes snapped forward only to see a large semi-truck ram into us. The last thing I remember before blacking out is the car barrel rolling down the hill and into the water.

:[-]:

Beep...

What the heck happened?,  I thought.

“Will it be okay Doc?” Asked a female voice

Beep...

Who was that?

“Don’t know. Whatever it is though it’s hurt bad, real bad.” A male said, which I assume to be the doctor.

Beep...

Argh... That beep is getting really annoying.

Beep...

“Doctor! The patient in the other room is waking up!” Shouted a female voice,

“Is it really Nurse Redheart?” Asked the man,

Nurse Redheart, that’s a pretty weird name.

Beep...

Oh for God Sake! Right when I thought today was going good, I had to get in a car wreck. Why God! Why! Was this some type of sick game of yours? Hey lets pick some random guy make him have the best day ever and cripple him in the end. And make him spend all his new money on hospital fees. Oh and you know what would be better what if I make it so he is hospitalized for three weeks and he can’t get that job! Hohohoho- Screw you ass whole! Screw you!

Beep...

Oh my God can I wake up now body! Seriously how long have I been here... What two hours now-

“ARRGGHHH!!!” A scream came from my right, scaring the living crap out of me. “LEE!!!  Lee! Where are you!”

Oh crap that’s Kurt! Trying with all my might, I slowly began to open my eyelids. Slowly but surely they began to part allowing small amounts of white light to seep in. With a groan I slowly brought my left hand up to my forehead.

I felt bandages brush against the tips of my fingers once I touched my head. Still I could hear Kurt yell my name from my right. Opening my eyes all the way I had to shield them from the massive amounts of white hitting my eyes and burning my retinas.

“Nurse Redheart can you please try and calm him... Oh my Celestia the other one has awoken too!”  Slowly I tried to push myself up,

“Who in the heck is Celestia-” I stopped taking my hand off my face, I stared into the eyes of a small cartoony looking horse. He had a brown coat and an orange mane and very large eyes and boy were they huge, he also wore a white doctor's coat and had one of them disk things on his head. Instantly I knew something was wrong.

I have to be dreaming. Yeah that’s it, I dreaming. I’m just having a nightmare. we crashed into the river and the car is flooding and Kurt is screaming at me to wake up. Yeah... Yeah that’s what’s going on. I’m just having a strange dream during a terrible crisis. I’m going to die...

“Heh... I’m dreaming am I?” I asked before passing out again.

:[-]:

“It seems to be stabilizing now sir, It should be waking up in a matter of seconds.” Said a female nurse.

“What is it?” asked another female.

Okay the next person to call me an it, is getting socked in the face when I wake up

.

“Well ah don’t know what it is.” Said another girl with a southern accent

And now I know who I’m hitting next.

“Me neither!” Said another female voice but this one was more upbeat and hyper sounding. I released a low groan. I heard girls gasp

,

“ I think it’s waking up!”

“Woudja shop calllinzs me an mit!” I tried to say, would ya stop calling me an it.

“Did it just try to speak to us?” Asked another voice. I sighed and tried to open my eyes, luckily though it was much easier than last time. Upon opening my eyes I shielded them until they became adjusted to my hospital like environment. Pushing myself up I stared at the speakers who were calling me an IT.

“Alright...” I said being able to speak straight now, “Which one of you called me an It-ARRGGHHH!!!” I screamed at the sight of six horses before me, “What are you? Who are you?” The six horses looked at each other with terrified expressions, seconds later the one in the middle, who was a purple unicorn stepped forward.

“My name is Twilight Sparkle, and this is, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Rarity.” I stared at them wide eyed, my heart racing faster than ever. I heard those names before. I heard Kurt say them at least a dozen times... Come on, think Lee think! After a good second or two it finally dawned on me. It struck me so hard, and I had to yell I needed to scream. I needed to pull the infamous Luke Skywalker,

“NOOOO!”

Lee, I think we're in Equestria

Chapter 2

After screaming the word, “No!” for over an entire minute I finally calmed down slightly enough to stop. I finally brought my gaze down towards the six horses, all of whom just stared at me with looks of fear and confusion. I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose, a habit I picked up a while back. I do it whenever I’m frustrated or angry.

“Lee! Oh thank God you’re awake.” Glancing to my right, I saw Kurt laying in bed looking over at me. His head and left arm were covered in bandages, but overall he still held onto that goofy grin of his.

“Kurt!” I said completely forgetting about the six horses in front of me, “Where the Hell are we!?” I asked still slightly startled by the six techni-colored horses.

“Lee I think we’re in-” Kurt didn’t finish his sentence due to the overly rude horse clearing its throat and grabbing our attention.

“Sorry about that...” The purple unicorn said, glancing angrily at the Rainbow maned horse, who just grinned and rubbed the back of her head, “I’m sorry to interrupt your little reunion but... What are you?” She asked taking a nervous step forward, “Can you understand what I’m saying?” She asked.

I tried to push myself further back into my hospital bed, trying to get farther away from the Lavender horse. But upon trying to move my legs, an explosion of pain erupted out of them, causing me to gasp in pain. Clenching my teeth I looked back up at the horse who stared at me with an wide eyed expression.

“Are you okay?”  Asked a yellow pegasus in the back with a pink mane, I shook my head no. After a few seconds the pain subsided and I took a deep breath.

“What is your name?” Asked the unicorn again. I glanced at her confused for a second not knowing what she asked, “What is your name?” She asked again politely. I coughed into my fist, my throat still dry from yelling like Luke when he just learned that Vader was his father..

“My, my name is Lee James Harrison.” I said, I might as well play along with them while I’m here. I considered, Who knows they might be able to send Kurt and I home after this, but the question is how did we get here?

The unicorn smiled, the look on her face though worried me. The way she stared at me with those purple eyes made me want to hide, I could tell just by looking at her the gears in her head were turning. Right away I could tell she had over a million questions and was getting ready to bombard me with them any second now. But before she could, Kurt came to save the day,

“Exactly... Eh... Miss...?”

“Twilight Sparkle.” The unicorn said. “My name is Twilight Sparkle.” Looking over at Kurt who was leaning over the side of his bed. I could see the excitement on his face, instantly I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose. He was about to freak out with excitement.

“Where exactly are we?” He said trying to hide his smile, I sighed again.

“You mean ya’ll don’t know where yer at?” Asked the orange horse in the back.

“No.” I said butting in on the conversation. “We don’t, the last thing we remember is driving over a bridge and then getting hit by a Semi-Truck.” I explained, the six show characters stared at me with looks of confusion.

“What’s a Semi-Truck?” Asked the Rainbow maned pegasus. I glared at them for second confused myself, until it dawned on me. I face palmed and took a deep breath,

“It’s a very big car.” I said,

“What’s a car?” Right then and there I wanted to kick a puppy. I sat back against my hospital bed. But before I could lash out in anger Kurt again came to save the day,

“It’s like a carriage.” He said, “But instead of being pulled it has a thing we ‘Humans.’” He said with air quotes. “Call an engine, which allows the vehicle to move without being pushed or pulled by anything.” Glancing back at the six horses I noticed the unicorn was levitating a notepad in front of herself, and she was jotting down everything Kurt said.

“But now this brings us back to our original question.” I said, “Where in the Hell are we?” I asked,

The unicorn glanced up from her notepad and looked over at Kurt, “Did you call yourself a Hooman?”  I sighed and cradled my head in the palm of my hands. Why does she keep ignoring me!

“Oh! Oh! I think he said Hoofman!” Chirped the pink rigley maned horse, who was just to the right of us. She bounced up and down glancing back and forth between me and Kurt. But then she stopped, and tapped the bottom of her chin with her hoof. “I don’t think I have ever heard of a Hoofman before.” She said, the unicorn lowered her notepad and glanced at the crazy pink one.

“I don’t think I have either.” She said, “What is a hoofman?” She asked.

“We’re not hoofman, were human.” I said looking at the Unicorn.

“Humanes?”

“No human. H-U-M-A-N.” Kurt spelt it out. The unicorn giggled and began writing that down,

“Oh, sorry I’ve should have paid more attention.” I rolled my eyes,

“I’m sorry, but can you leave us alone for a few minutes?” I asked, the unicorn glanced up at me,

“Sorry what?”

“Can you leave us.” I said motioning towards Kurt, “Alone for a minute? I wish to check up on him and see if he’s okay.” I said. The unicorn looked at Kurt and back at me, her face filled with a bit of disappointment.

“Y-yeah sure... We’ll be back in a few minutes. I need to tell the Princess about this anyways.” I smiled,

Finally, I can have some time alone. Looking down at myself I noticed something was wrong, very wrong.

“Where’s my jacket!?” I glanced around placing a hand on my head I noticed my hat was gone too. I also wasn’t wearing my shirt, all I had on were my pants and shoes. Looking around I noticed my stuff was gone too. “Where’s my stuff?” I panicked. The unicorn glanced at me,

“Oh you’re talking about your belongings, they’re over there on that table.” She said motioning her head over to my cloths and bags that were neatly placed on a table. With that Twilight Sparkle and her band of friends turned and left us alone in the hospital room.

Right when the door clicked shut I turned towards Kurt, “Kurt where exactly  are we and why the Hell are they here!?” I snarled jamming my index finger at the door. Kurt nodded his head, the excitement he previously had draining immediately.

“Lee, I think we’re in Equestria.” He said,

“Equest- What? Are you saying we’re aren’t on Earth anymore?” I asked dumbfounded, Kurt nodded.

“I read something like this before.” He said, “About a man who was summoned to Equestria; in the end it involved him saving the entire universe and him becoming a God. Very crappy story if you ask me.” I frowned,

“What does a crappy fan fiction have to do with anything that is going on right now?” I snapped, Kurt raised his hand,

“Sorry, what I’m saying is Lee, I have came up with two possible theories.” He said, I nodded my head,

“All right what are they?” I asked,

“Either we were summoned here to save their world, or the entire universe.” Kurt raised up two fingers. “Or the semi smacked into us so hard that we broke through the space time continuum and we ended up here.” I frowned.

“I don’t believe any of those. First off, if we were hit that hard, we would be dead. Secondly, those horses don’t even know who or what we are. So why would they summon something up that they don’t even know what it is?” Kurt shrugged,

“Again man those are just theories... Wait did you call them horses?” Kurt asked, I sighed and leaned back into the bed. Taking my eyes off Kurt I looked up into the bright light that was above me,

“Yeah, that’s what they are, right?” I asked glancing back over at him,

“In a way yes.” Kurt said, “They are normally referred to as ponies.” Kurt looked up at the ceiling.

Ponies? I thought, Why couldn’t they just stick with horses? After a few minutes of waiting silently for Twilight Sparkle and her friends to returned Kurt cleared his throat,

“Hey Lee... How we’re going to get home?” Kurt asked, this question struck me like a speeding semi.

“I... I have no clue.” I said, “How are we going to get home?”

:[-]:

After about thirty minutes, Twilight and her friends returned with another doctor I don’t remember seeing earlier. He approached me nervously, almost like a skittish horse.

So much for a few minutes.

“So...” I said trying to maintain a straight face, “Kurt and I fit enough to leave?” I asked the doctor, who raised an eyebrow.

“I’m sorry, but who is Kurt?” He asked. I glanced over at my friend who also laid there in bed looking over at the doctor.

“So... Can we leave?” I asked growing a bit impatient,

“Oh, sorry.” He cleared his throat and stuck out his right foreleg. “My name is Doctor Needles.” He pulled on a goofy grin. I frowned,

If my doctor back home had the name Needles, I would not trust him at all.

“Eh...” I reached out grasped the pony’s hoof, “My name is Lee, Lee Harrison.” I said shaking his hoof. Needles smiled and nodded,

“Nice to meet you Lee, now please if you-”

“When do we get to leave?” I asked. Needles glanced over at me,

“Sorry what?” He asked, I sighed and rubbed my forehead with my arm.

“When do we get to leave?” I asked again frustrated. The doctor chuckled,

“Well I don’t know enough about your species, as you see I’m a doctor that’s meant to help ponies...” The doctor trailed off into a mindless ramble, I rolled my eyes,

This guy doesn’t know when to shut up, and answer my damn question!

I raised my hand to silence the doctor, “I get it, you don’t know that much about me. But are we fit enough to leave?” Needles stopped and brought a hoof up to his chin,

“Well, by my charts,” He said picking up his clipboard, “you seem to be doing fine. Just some minor bruising and scratches on your right forelimb. Also a large bruise on your abdomen, but overall you are fine... I think.” He said glancing up at me.

“You think?” I asked, the doctor shrugged,

“Again, I don’t know much about your species. In fact I don’t even know what you are.” He said moving over to a nearby medical cabinet, opening it he reached in and pulled out a small bottle taking off the lid he approached me. “Here take this.” He said pulling out a small tablet like object.

“What is it?” I asked taking the tablet and popping it in my mouth.

“It’s a pain reliever, sent to us from the southern parts of Zebrica.”  I choked on the tablet due to my laughter.

“Wh-what? Zebrica, boy I wonder what type of animal lives there.” I said sarcastically.

“Zebra’s live there.” Needles said looking at me as if I was supposed to know. I rolled my eyes,

“Of course.” Instantly the pain that was in the lower parts of my body earlier slowly began to fade away. “Wow, what was that stuff?” I asked, Needles shrugged,

“I don’t know.”

“Whoa, whoa, whoa... Doc I’m going to have to stop you right there.” Said Kurt pushing himself up in bed. “You’re saying that you just gave Lee some type of medicine and you have no idea what it is?” He asked. The doctor nodded,

“I’m just told to give this to my patients after treatment.” Kurt face palmed,

“Whatever.” Is all he said, “When do we leave?”  he asked moments later.

“Well...” Needles said raising his clipboard. “My papers tell me that I should at least keep you guys around for another night.” I glanced at Kurt, raising an eyebrow I turned my attention back to the doctor.

“Yeah...” I said pulling the blankets off me, “I don’t think Kurt and I have time to stick around.” I glanced up at Kurt who looked at me confused, after a few seconds he smiled and nodded his head.

“Ahem, yeah you see we have places to be. Things to do, and other junk.” The doctor and the other six ponies stared at us with confused expressions.

“I would take it slow if I were you,” Said the doctor while I stepped off the bed, “the drug hasn’t taken it’s full effect and if you-” Pushing myself off the bed I stood to my full height, towering over the seven ponies my head just merely inches away from touching the ceiling. I turned to face the ponies.

The looks on their faces showed me they were deeply terrified. I stood at least two feet taller than them. They only made it to about the lower part of my chest, “What?” I asked. The lavender unicorn shook herself out of her stupor and glanced up at me.

“Are you able to walk?” She asked, looking down at my legs I noticed my jeans were torn and had small amounts of dry blood on them.

“Eh... I don’t know. I’ll try.” I said, taking a breath I extended my leg out getting ready for my first step. Upon impact with the floor my leg wobbled and my stomach grew queasy, after stepping forward I stood there for a few seconds letting my stomach calm down. “Phew... Kind of... Yeah I think I can walk-” Instantly my stomach churned and I hunched over vomiting onto the linoleum floor, all six ponies save for the doctor screamed and stumbled back.

“Oh hohoho, shit!” Kurt chuckled behind me, Needles shook his head,

“I told you to take it slow.” He said, “Now excuse me while I go get Nurse Redheart.” I stood there resting my hands on my knees, gasping trying to catch my breath. Needles sighed and walked out of the room.

“I’ll go get the release forms.” Twilight said,

“Yes, I think I’ll tag along darling.” Said the other Unicorn while she tried to make her way around my vomit.

:[-]:

I sat down on my hospital bed, my laptop laying idly on my lap. Flipping it open, I already knew I wouldn’t have any internet access here. But out of habit I clicked on my google chrome icon, seconds later the window popped up telling me there is no internet. With I sigh I closed out the window, and began to play Don’t Starve. After about a few minutes of running around collecting grass and chopping down trees, the door to mine and Kurt's room opened.

“Alright Lee, I’ve finished filling out your forms and...” Pausing the game I looked up and saw Twilight looking at me with a raised eyebrow. “What is that?” She asked, out of habit I was instantly confused by her question. I’ve never been asked before, “What is a laptop?” but again I remembered I’m not on Earth anymore.

“It’s my laptop,” I said, Twilight tilted her head like a confused dog.

“You see Twilight,” Kurt said from the other side of the room. “Where we come from, we are far more technologically advanced.” He said, “We sur-” Twilight brushed past Kurt’s bed completely ignoring him, Kurt sighed and looked away. She came up right beside me and glanced at the monitor seeing the pause menu of my game,

“Interesting...” She muttered “What does it do?” she asked looking at me. I looked at her then back at the monitor, clicking the un-pause button the game came to life. The sounds of chirping birds and Wilson’s trumpet noises stating, It’s getting dark I need light. Seemed to have scared the living crap out of Twilight.

She jumped back with the look of fear and fascination strung on her face. I laughed and began playing the game again, controlling Wilson I began to construct a fire. After a few seconds Twilight approached the Laptop squinting her eyes at it while leaning in real close, “Is it some type of game?” She asked. I grinned,

“Actually you’re right on that one, it is a game, it’s called Don’t Starve.”

“What do you do?” She asked, her face practically touching the screen.

“Simple... Don’t Starve.” I said placing the fire down the screen lit up in a bright orange light. Twilight yelped and flung her head back, rubbing her eyes she groaned,

“My eyes...” I busted a gut,

“Sorry I should’ve warned you not to get too close to the screen.” I chuckled while wiping my eyes with my arm.

“Wow Lee.” Kurt said, “We haven’t even been here for a day, and you’re already causing trouble.” I paused the game and glared at Kurt,

“Oh, stuff it.” I said. Glancing back at Twilight I said, “So you were saying you finished filling out some forms.” Twilight rubbed her eyes again and nodded,

“Yeah,” She said, “they were the release forms. Needles says you two are allowed to leave whenever you want. Just be careful when you get outside.”

“Wait a second!” Says Kurt, “What about me? I’ve never got any check up or some drug to help me heal.” Twilight nodded,

“Yes I know, that’s because you have minor injuries, Lee’s were worse than yours.”

“Well then.” I said happily while closing my Laptop, “What are we waiting for? Lets go Kurt.” I smiled, happy now that I can leave this Godforsaken place. Flinging my legs over the side of the bed I got up. My legs still a bit wobbly and my stomach churned a little, taking a deep breath I slowly made my way towards my belongings. Grabbing my white T-Shirt a large tear bore down the center of it, frowning I turned to face the purple unicorn. Who sat by the door waiting for me I then decided to ask her one question. “Why is there a large tear in my shirt?”

“Eh...” Twilight eyes shot towards me lifting her right hoof and began nervously rubbing her left leg, “We didn’t really know how to get the shirt off of you.” She pulled a nervous grin, “But don’t worry my friend Rarity could make you a new one in no time.” She said.

“Alright, but I better not have to pay for anything.” I said. Sighing I flung the ruined shirt to the side. Grabbing my black jacket which to my surprise they didn’t rip that to shreds too, I flung that over my bare skin. I then placed my flat cap on my head, taking a quick glance over at Kurt I saw that he finally got off his lazy rump and began getting dressed in his cloths.

Which also made me aggravated because his clothes were perfectly fine, he was pulling on his grey hoodie last I checked before turning back to my things. Overall though besides the shirt everything was fine, yeah my jeans were dirty but I could wash them off when I get home... Home? I wonder if my parents are okay. OH CRAP!

I completely forgot that I was speaking to my Dad right when the crash happened, they probably think I’m dead for all I know. I wonder if they called the P-

“Lee are you okay?” Kurt asked from behind me, snapping me out of my day dream.

“Uh... Yeah, I’m fine. You ready?” I asked turning to see Kurt fully dressed in his hoodie, jeans and black snow cap hat.

He shrugged, “Yeah I’m fine, what about you Twi?” He asked glancing down at the unicorn who still seemed bewildered by our height. Shaking herself out of her stupor, Twilight nodded her head,

“Yeah I’m good, just follow me and I’ll show you around town.” She said turning towards the door. Before the unicorn could take her first step I began to say,

“You know what Twilight, never mind about the shirt I got others at home. Speaking of which I really think Kurt and I should be-” I felt Kurt’s elbow jam into my side, “Ah! What the-”

“Shh!” Kurt brought his finger to his lips, “Let’s not rush things here Lee, I wanna check this place out before we go. Come on, think of it as a vacation.” He beamed,

“More like Hell for me.” I said rubbing my side. but with a sigh I nodded my head, “Fine. We’ll have a look around, but after this we’re leaving.” I said.

:[-]:

I must admit this town reminded me a lot of home, save for everything looking as if they're from a children’s cartoon... Oh wait, it is. But as I was saying, with the bright blue sky, and the luscious trees, all the bright colors just popped out at you like they do in Dansville. Everything was gorgeous.

Until I saw their eyes, every resident in the town just stared at me. They were all frozen in mid acts and heads cocked in my direction. “Hey Twilight?” I said looking down at the mare, “What’s with all the looks we keep getting?” Twilight sighed,

“This happens every time a new type of creature comes here. The residents of Ponyville don’t really get out too often. Just don’t pay any attention to them, and in a few days they’ll get use to you.” She said as we walked down the road towards a tall clock tower in the center of town.

I better not be here for a few days. I thought.

“Well there you go, that’s all of Ponyville. This here is the Town Hall.” She said tilting her head towards the building.

“Great now,” I said clapping my hands together. “Can we go?” I asked. Twilight raised an eyebrow,

“I thought you wanted to get your shirt fixed?” She asked, I shook my head,

“I’d rather go home right now.” I said taking a deep breath,

“Come on Lee, there’s no need to go home just this instant. Come on the girl is offering you a new shirt and for free too.”

“Well,” Twilight said, “that’s if Rarity is willing to do it for free.” Kurt shrugged,

“True, but she is the Element of Generosity.” Instantly I shot Kurt  a glare, a glare that I was hoping would shut him up for good. Instantly Kurt slammed his mouth shut at the sight of my glare, instantly realizing what he said was not a good thing at all.

“Yeah that is true but...” She frowned, looking up at Kurt she said, “Wait a second, if you’re not from here, how did you know she was the element of generosity?” Kurt pulled on the straightest face he could muster, he shrugged, “I don’t know, lucky guess?” My mind was hit by a thousand locomotives. I wanted to strangle Kurt, beat him till he was only a bloody smear on a wall. Nobody knows how these creatures would react if they figured out they were a childrens entertainment show back in our world!

Twilight raised a suspicious eyebrow, but then she shrugged it off. “Alright, well if you head this way the Carousel Boutique should just be right around the corner...” Twilight trailed off, rambling on about her friends while Kurt and I followed behind her. Grabbing Kurt by the shoulder I pulled him back and hissed into his ear,

“Don’t you dare mention anything to them about the show, okay?” I said, “Who knows how they’ll react.” Kurt sighed,

“Lee, would you just calm down about this? We’re in a world full of magical creatures, we’ll get home in no time. Also, I read a story about this, how a man who ended up in Equestria accidently told a class full of children about how they were all from a T.V. show and they took it quite swell.” I sighed and pinched my nose,

“Again Kurt, that’s fiction and this is reality. We could possibly cause a mass panic, even worse what if there president or-” Kurt raised his hand,

“I’m sorry Lee but I got to stop you right there, did you just say they have a president?” He asked, I raised an eyebrow.

“What did I say something wrong?” I asked, Kurt face palmed,

“I told you this Lee, Equestria is ruled by two princesses.” He said, he held up two fingers, “There’s Princess Celestia, then Princess Luna.” I frowned,

“We spoke about this before?” Kurt nodded,

“We had a whole freaking debate on it on the drive home after Michael Regine’s Party last Halloween.” I smiled the thought of that party coming into play, I remember the naked girls in Michael’s hot tub. The entire bathtub full of beer all the way to the rim, I remember Kurt getting stuck on the zip line that led from the tree and Michael’s dorm room window.

“Hey, Earth to Lee. Now’s not the time to have happy memories.” Kurt said snapping his fingers in my face. Disappointed about having to forget, I looked at Kurt.

“Sorry what?” I said shaking my head, Kurt nodded,

“I see what you mean though Lee, I’ll try not to say anything but if they do find out I doubt they’ll throw a fit.” I smiled,

“Thanks man, I knew I could count on you-” Kurt stopped, “Hey why are we stopping?” I asked,

“Because we’re here.” Twilight said, looking down I frowned,

“Oh yeah you’re here.” I said remembering the unicorn. Twilight snorted and rolled her eyes,

“Well just follow me inside, and I’ll let Rarity know what you want.” I smiled,

“You know what Twilight, let me deal with this. You just go... go do whatever you do.” I said taking a step forward towards the door. Twilight looked at me confused,

“Are you sure? You did only just arrive here just a few hours ago.” I nodded my head,

“Yeah, I’ll be fine. Besides, it can’t be that bad. I’m just going into request a shirt and leave.” Twilight smiled,

“Thanks Lee, I actually did have a few things in mind. I live in the library just a few houses down...” She said turning to leave, only to turn back a few seconds later. “Also before I go, when you do arrive at the library, would it be okay if I ask you a few questions about your race?” I shrugged, it was the least I could do for her since I’m getting a new shirt.

“Yeah. Sure.” I said fixing my straps. Twilight’s face lit up,

“Oh this is going to be great.” She half squealed. I rolled my eyes and turned towards the door,

“Alright Kurt let’s do this... Kurt?” I said glancing around, Kurt was nowhere to be seen. I searched through the crowds of ponies scattered throughout the street. “Kurt? Buddy, where are you?” I asked out loud, glancing back at the door.

Maybe he went inside without me? I thought, grasping the door handle I turned it and pulled it open.

:[-]:

And I thought outside looked like it was out of a childrens show, inside the Boutique I was hit with an array of bright colors. Lots of purple, white, blue and other various colors burned their way into my retinas. When the door closed a bell rung throughout the Boutique,

“Just a minute.” Said cheerful voice coming from the back room. I glanced around the main room, taking in my surroundings. The windows to my right had large pony related mannequins placed behind them wearing dresses with bright colors and gems. Over in the right hand corner of the room laid what seemed to me as a small stage.

That’s probably where she places her customers to show off their new clothes.

to my left was a wall covered in vanity mirrors, Make up. I deadpanned. The sounds of clopping hooves caught my ear. Taking one last look around the room I couldn’t find Kurt. God dangit Kurt where in the Hell are you!?

On the other side of the room came the white unicorn mare I had seen earlier back at the hospital. When she saw me a large smile pierced her lips, “Why hello there darling you must be Lee.” She said, “How can I help you?” She asked, looking at the mare I nodded.

“Oh, yeah.” I said approaching her, “I am in a need of a white T-Shirt,” I glanced around the room one last time before coming to a stop in front of Rarity, “Hey have you seen my friend Kurt?” I asked. Rarity looked at me, tapping the bottom of her chin with her hoof she asked,

“Are you talking about the other freakishly tall creature?” I smiled,

“Yeah, he’s wearing a...” I frowned, “Wait a second I’m not a  freak!” Rarity laughed,

“Darling, I’m just teasing; and no, I can’t say that I’ve seen your friend anywhere. What else did you ask for?” She said turning around she began examining one of the window displays.

I rolled my eyes, “Well, I was going to ask if you could make me a new T-Shirt, preferably another white one.” Rarity looked at me with a look that looked to carry inspiration or insanity. I stared back for over a good minute and a half we sat there in some sort of staring contest. “IDEAAA!” Rarity shouted breaking the silence like a hammer through glass. I jolted, almost falling back as the white unicorn began approaching me with a predatory grin on her face.

“Uh...” Is all I could say, slowly taking steps back I began to grow nervous. I was starting to become afraid, with sweat beginning to trickle down my face. My eyes snapped towards the door.

Maybe I can make a run for it, and just ask Twilight to use some of her witchcraft to conjure up a new shirt for me.

“Oh I have the perfect idea for your outfit darling. I’m sure you’ll simply adore it.” My eyes snapped back onto the crazed unicorn.

“O-o-outfit? I was only asking for a new shirt!” I stammered, my back then struck one of the vanity mirrors.

“Now darling, would you please follow me into my basement? We can get everything...arranged down there.” She said with a murderous look in her eyes.

“Oh gosh, look at the time! I think I need to get back to Twilight’s place.” I waved goodbye and began heading towards the door. “Nice meeting you... Eh... Rarity? Yeah, that’s your name. Bye-” A bright flash enveloped my body then completely dissipated. Instantly my eyes felt heavy. “Wh-wh- did you drug meee....” My body slammed into the ground as the world around me swirled into darkness.

Not My Princess

Chapter 3

My eyes snapped open, darting left and right. All around me was dark except for a dim blue light right behind me. Trying to move my arms, I realized I couldn’t move them due to them being bound to something. My back was pressed up against something hard my body vertical to the ground. “What? What the heck? Where am I!?” Sweat began to make its way down my face. “Rarity!” I shouted. “What did you do to me-!”

“Please, darling, don’t be so loud,” she said, and I heard the sound of metal objects clanking against each other. My eyes darted to my left, trying to get a better look.

“Why did you kidnap me?” I asked.

“I did not kidnap you,” Rarity claimed, and a couple moments later I heard the sound of a cart strolling across the ground.

“Uh... What are you doing?” I asked with a hint of panic in my voice.

“I am going to make your outfit.” She said. My lips cascaded down into a frown.

“You gotta be kidding me.” I groaned, to my right came Rarity pushing a cart that was covered in pins, rulers, fabric, and other clothe designing things. “You obviously saw I was trying to leave! So I guess that means I don’t want a freaking outfit!” I said, struggling with my bonds. Rarity merely shook her head.

“I am so sorry darling, it’s just when I am struck with inspiration I simply must achieve my goal.” I stopped and stared at the mare.

“So, let me get this straight. Let’s say you’re walking down the road, and you see another person, or pony, in this case. And you want to see them in a outfit, you’re going to CAPTURE them and force them to wear your clothes!?” I yelled, Rarity winced.

“Dear Celestia, you are a loud one.” she replied.

“Is that a yes? Oh, and I’m loud cause you scared the living crap out o-” I felt a rag wrap around my mouth causing me to gag.

“There you go.” She said, I began screaming unspeakable atrocities into the rag, screaming every curse word in the dictionary at the mare. “Even with that gag on you are still loud.” Sitting down on the ground the unicorn began tapping her chin with her hoof. “That would work perfectly!”

“Huh?” I muffled into the rag looking at the mare, with a devilish grin the unicorns horn flared to life. “AHHH-!” Instantly my scream was cut short by a blue flash of light. Closing my eyes, I assumed I was dead. But after a minute I opened them back up, I was still in the basement and the gag was out of my mouth. Confused I turned to see the unicorn working with the objects on her cart, I opened my mouth to say something but realized my vocal cords weren’t allowing me to form words.

“I see you realized you cannot speak.” She said turning towards me with a tape measure, she began measuring my body length. Again I tried to speak but realized I couldn’t, frustrated I placed my head against the hard wood my body was perched on. “I am sorry darling, but I could not let you leave with out your body measurements. I just needed you to come down here so I could get the measuring tape and measure you.” I glanced down at the unicorn.

You could’ve just asked! There was no need to have a murderous look and then drug me!

“So when you ran I just shot you with a sleeping spell. I know it was not right of me to do so, but I have never seen a creature like you before... I wonder what you would look like in a suit...” She said pulling the tape measure away from my body, “Alright now, darling, I’m going to have to release you so I can measure your waist. Now I do hope you don’t go running off now, even if you did you would not be able to speak to anypony.”

Bahahaha! Did she just say anypony haha.... Boy that’s new, never heard that one before.

I felt the bonds on my hands release and my body crumple to the ground, I landed on my right knee my hands in front of me. I felt like a track runner getting ready to start his race, better yet kind of like those sci-fi movies when the people crumple out of the their cryostasis chambers. I slowly climbed back to my feet, looking around I saw Rarity getting ready to measure my waist, but I also saw a staircase leading back up into boutique. Now is my chance... FREEDOM! I began sprinting my way towards the door, Rarity turned and sighed,

“Why do they always choose the hard way?” Come on almost there almost... Almost. Instantly, I felt my entire body freeze in mid run. Goddammit! Screw freaking magic! My body began to teeter, Oh no! My body fell over slamming into the ground causing a jolt of pain to surge throughout my body. “I did ask you nicely not to run away, darling.” Please... Just shut up. “Now,” She said using her magic to lift me off the ground and position my legs so I was standing up straight. Taking her tape measure she wrapped my body.

After about twenty minutes of taking measure of every part of my body, Rarity began jotting down all my measurements onto a piece of paper. “Alright darling, I know you are angry with me, but please... You will love me by the time I am done with your outfit. Now, I am going to undo the spell and let you go.” She said.

About time... Wait a second, where’s my stuff? Seconds later I felt the spell lift off me and my body instantly turned to jelly. “Oh no!” I shouted, finally realizing I could now speak again. I fell back onto the floor with a grunt, rubbing my head I glanced up at the unicorn. “Yeah, you know you could have just asked me instead of capturing and forcing me into a basement.” The unicorn shrugged,

“I suppose you are right, but... Please darling just trust me, you are going to love me by the time I am done.” I sighed and slowly climbed back onto my feet,

“You better be right about that, if not Kurt and I are going to have nice little chat with you.” I said. “Well... Thanks anyways.” I said rolling my eyes, “I need to find Kurt and get back to Twilight’s place... Speaking of which were does Twilight live again?” I asked myself,

“She lives down the road in the big tree house.” Rarity said already gathering her things and heading up stairs.

“Wait,” I said raising a hand, “Where did you put my things?” I asked, Rarity chuckled.

“They’re upstairs on my kitchen table.” She said, I let out a sigh of relief. I don’t even know what I would do if I were to lose them. I thought. Taking my hat off I ran my fingers through my hair, with a sigh I placed it back on and began making my way up the stairs.

:[-]:

I slowly made my way down the road, keeping an eye out for the tree house. I couldn’t stand looking at the other residents and how they just stared back at me. But remembering what Twilight told me, just ignore them and you should be fine right?

NO! S0, I’m strolling down the road, and I’m stopped by this little green unicorn. Looking down, I frowned, “C-can I help you?” I asked the small unicorn who just looked up at me with starry eyes. “Uh... Well if you don’t mind I really need to get to Twilight’s house.” I said trying to step around her. The unicorn nodded, so I stepped around her and began heading further down the road, “Well that was strange-” Seconds later a bright flash of light appeared in front of me, “JESUS CHRIST!” I fell back onto the ground grabbing my laptop bag I held it up in the air like a shield in a defensive position.

Gradually bringing the bag down, I saw what appeared to be the same mint green unicorn I just seen moments ago. But this time with me on the ground and she was looking down on me, with a very creepy sneer on her face. The look in her eyes looked as if she was an old miner who had just struck gold, slowly she began to approach me, her lips parting. And one word came out of her mouth, “Hands...” She hissed like a snake.

I began pushing myself away from the psychotic mare. “Wh-what the heck is wrong with you?” I asked using my legs I backed myself into a wall of a nearby house.

“Hands!” She screeched, she lunged at me like a Hunter from Left 4 Dead. Instantly her hooves latched onto my right hand, bringing her face in she began nuzzling my hand and snuggling into it. Shaking my hand I tried pulling it away, but her grip was too strong... Wait a second, these ponies can grip onto things? Is that even physically possible?

“Hey! Let go will ya!” Lifting my leg, I lightly planted it on the mare’s waist and shoved her off me, quickly climbing to my feet I began to run. Taking a quick glance back I saw the mare climb back up onto her hooves and begin to give chase. “God dangit!” I snarled. Looking to my right I saw an alleyway.

Making a swift turn to the right I began running down the alleyway, resting my back up against a wall of a house. I slowly let my body drift down the wall and onto the ground, breathing deeply trying to catch my breath. Closing my eyes I let myself rest there for a moment,

“Hands...” My eyes snapped open, only to meet a pair of orange irises, I yelled at the top of my lungs. Shoving my hands out I shoved the unicorn over and began running even further down the alleyway.

As I was running I felt my left leg catch onto a wooden plank. Losing my balance I fell onto the ground with a thud. Groaning I placed my hands on the ground and pushed myself up, again only to come face to face with the crazy unicorn. Whimpering I stared back down at the ground, “What do you want from me?” I asked the mare,

“Your hands...” She said, my eyes grew even wider,

“No! No, no, no, no, you are not! Touching my hands like that again!” I shouted, the unicorn reached out, grasping my hand again. I reacted by pulling away, only to have my body once again frozen in place.

If I’m frozen one more time today, I’m going to throw the biggest friggin fit you’ll ever see!

“Hey Minty!” Shouted a distinctly familiar voice, “Let my friend go!” The unicorn glanced up, her eyes once again pulling that greedy look but instantly her eyes grew wide and all color was flushed out of her face.

“Bon Bon!” She said.

“Lyra, what in the name of Celestia are you doing to that poor animal?”

“I’m a human! Not an animal!” I shouted back, At least I can still speak.

Moments later I heard the sound of footsteps, “Lee, are you okay man?” asked Kurt,

“Where the Hell have you BEEN!” I shouted at Kurt, Kurt took a step back raising his hands in defense,

“Whoa sorry man, what’s wrong.” My left eye twitched,

“What’s wro-, WHAT’S WRONG!?,” I shouted, taking a deep breath I sighed, “Let me tell you what’s wrong. You randomly vanishing. Leaving me with a psychotic fashion designer who captured me, so she can take measurements of my body. She gagged me, froze me, made it so I cannot talk, then she acts like she never did anything wrong. After that I go out looking for you and Twilight’s house, then this... This Psychopath starts trying to take my hands!” I yelled my face still facing the ground due to me still being frozen.

“Well sounds like you had a rough first day in Equestria.” Kurt said,

“Everybody here is CRAZY!” I shouted,

“You sound like Twilight.” Kurt chuckled,

“Stuff it!”

“Bon Bon, please forgive me. I don’t know what came over me, but please forgive me.” Said the mint unicorn. Turning my attention back over to the two ponies, it seemed that the other pony that came to my rescue was scolding the unicorn.

“Now Lyra I want you to unfreeze him and apologize.” The pony named Bon Bon said, the mint green unicorn sighed,

“Okay.” Moments later my body turned to jelly again and I crumpled to the ground. Bringing my hand up to my head I cradled it for a second before climbing up to my feet. I glanced over at the unicorn who was standing next to a candy colored mare. The unicorn frowned and glanced at the ground, rubbing her leg with her other hoof. “I’m sorry for going all crazy on you back there.”

“You better be,” I snarled, Kurt jammed my side with his elbow, “Hey!” I snapped at him,

“There’s no need to be a douche Lee!” Kurt snapped back,

“Well she chased me and tried to take my hand.” I said pointing at the mare who looked to be at the verge of tears,

“So at least she’s apologizing for it now!” Kurt said, I sighed. Turning back to the unicorn I grinned,

“It’s okay, I accept your apology.” Not really. I thought. The Unicorn looked up at me, her face beaming with joy.

“Re-really? You do?” She asked, I nodded my head,

“Yes, yes I do.” Again NO! I screamed in my thoughts.

The unicorn bounced with joy, “Oh thank you so much!” I felt Kurt tug on the back of my jacket,

“Hey Lee, Twilight should be waiting for us now let’s go.” He said. I nodded. And together Kurt and I headed out of the alleyway leaving the two mares behind glancing back over my shoulder I saw the unicorn Lyra staring at me with an evil sneer. Before turning away I saw her wink at me, and mouth one word that  I couldn’t understand.

“So where exactly were you anyways?” I asked trying to shake that last image out of my mind, Kurt smiled,

“Oh I was just talking to one of my favorite ponies.” Kurt said,

“Oh really now? Who is that?” I asked as we crossed over a nearby bridge. I didn’t get to hear the answer as we came upon a tree, complete with windows and a balcony.

They weren’t joking about it literally being a tree house. I thought.

Making my way towards the door, I noticed a large golden chariot parked right next to the tree which seemed to be guarded by four pegasi who wear clads of golden armor. Guess Twilight has an important visitor. I thought,

Reaching the door I lifted my fist up and knocked three times. Kurt and I stood there for a few seconds, moments later the door opened and we were greeted by a small scaly lizard. “Hey a gecko.” I grinned. Kurt chuckled, the gecko looked at me and frowned,

“I’m a Dragon thank you very much.” He said, I frowned,

“Are you sure? You look a little small to be a dragon.” I smirked, the dragon frowned. I laughed, “Don’t worry pal, I’m just teasing you. Hey, is Twilight here?” I asked, looking passed the dragon. The dragon nodded,

“Twilight! Somepony is here to see you.” He yelled, Did he just call me a somepony? I am no pony.

“I’ll be there in a minute,” Came a voice from within the house, I heard a few murmurs come from within. Seconds later I saw the purple unicorn appear right beside the small dragon. She frowned worriedly at our stature; apparently such height was unheard of. Upon seeing me, however, her face lit up with joy, “Oh thank goodness you’re here.” She whispered, “The Princess is inside waiting for you.” She said ushering Kurt and me inside.

Upon entering, I was dumbstruck by the interior of the tree house. Large indents were carved into the walls filled to the brim with books, in the center of the room laid a small table with a statue of a Trojan Horse fitted with a book on the front. Just a few strides away I could see a staircase leading up deeper into the Oak tree. Just to the right of the staircase was a door leading to what I assumed was the kitchen.

I glanced around the hollowed out library, amazed by the art that was sketched into the walls. Every negative space that was in between the shelves was filled with flowers and other lines and images. While gazing at the wonderful art I was startled by the relatively large pony in front of me.

“Holy Crap!” I shrieked, stumbling back my foot caught onto the small dragon who let out a panicked yelp. Trying to catch my balance I fell over the small gecko, landing on the ground I grunted, “Ah, God Dangit! Don’t startle me like that!” I said scratching the back of my neck. The large pony in front of me chuckled,

“Dear me, I’m so sorry. I did not mean to scare you like that.” Placed my hand on my knee and pushed off. Getting back up I was brought to the attention of a very tall horse. I mean, she was at least a few inches taller than me.

“Whoa...” Is all I said, “Who are you?” I asked, the uni-... No... Pega-... No. What the heck is this thing? I thought raising an eyebrow.

The pony smiled at me, as her mane flowed off the back of her head. Kinda like how a flag flaps in the wind, but played in slow motion. Her coat was bright white like my Mother's cat back at home, her wings were tucked firmly at her side. But despite that the thing that bewildered me the most was the fact that she has wings and a horn.

“My name is Princess Celestia,” She said I nodded, So this is the princess Kurt has been telling me about. Speaking of Kurt, he sat there with his face full of excitement, astonishment, and a bit of fear for some reason. I grinned. This is my chance to get us home.

“Well now,” I said taking a few steps over towards the Trojan horse head, “so I take it you are the ruler of this country?” I asked, Celestia nodded,

“Well not just me, there is also my sister Luna. But she is back at the castle looking over things at the moment.” I nodded,

“I see,” I said grabbing the Trojan horse head, I lifted it up off it’s stand and began examining it further. “What a shame that she couldn’t show up.” The mare nodded her head,

“Yes it is, she really wanted to come and meet you.” I frowned, there was a chip on the statue’s left ear. “May I please ask you a question?”

“Sure thing Celestia,” I say looking up, “what do you want to know.... Why are you looking at me like that?” I ask Twilight and her pet dragon, and Kurt. Who stood there with shocked expressions, after a few moments Kurt sighed and scratched the back of his neck. Taking a step forward he said,

“Eh bro, I think you better call her Princess.” I glanced at Kurt raising an eyebrow,

“Why, she isn’t my Princess.”  I said,

“Well you can at least do it out of respect.” Spike reinforces. I furrowed my brow, I was about to tell them the reason why I didn’t give a crap if she was Princess or not. But before I could allow my vocal cords to form a single word. Celestia nodded her head,

“Do not worry my subjects. I am positive that he did not say it out of malice.” The Princess said approaching me, “Now could you please tell me your name?” She asked. I looked back over at the Princess and nodded,

“My name is Lee James Harrison.” I said. Kurt cleared his throat and stepped forward,

“And I’m Kurt, Kurt Leonardo Keys.” He said sticking out his hand, as if he was expecting a handshake. Moments later he chuckled and pulled his hand back in embarrassment, “S-sorry.”

Celestia nodded, “Nice to meet you Lee, and Kurt. When did you arrive here?” She asked abruptly. I frowned, trying to maul the question over in my mind,

“I don’t entirely know,” I said, “you’d probably have to ask her.” I said jamming my thumb towards Twilight, “The only thing I remember is getting hit by a semi and waking up in a hospital here. And that was about five hours ago.” I explained. I glanced over at Twilight who sat there looking more nervous as ever, Twilight’s expression began to make me nervous. “Twilight, do you have something to say?” I asked, the unicorn took a deep breath and looked up at me.

“Lee...” She trailed off for second, the look on her face told me she was trying to figure out how to explain whatever she was going to say to me. ”You two have been here for over two weeks.” She said. I raised an eyebrow at Twilight, anger deep within me began to boil.

“Wh-what?” I asked, not knowing if what she said was true or not.

“I said you’ve been here for over two weeks.” She said taking a step back, my legs began to tremble. Glancing over at Kurt he too seemed to be in shock,

“Y-you’re t-telling me, that we’ve been here for over two weeks?” I said taking a few steps back.

“Lee, please we need you to remain calm. I know this is a bit much for you to take in, but you just need to remain calm” Twilight said, "We didn't tell you earlier, because we didn't know how you would react." I dropped the statue onto the ground causing the ear to snap off.

I-I I’ve been gone for two weeks, dear Lord, my parents must think I’m dead! My family members must be worried sick! I missed my job interview! Abigail must be worried too!

These thoughts flew through my mind, my heart rate began to pick up. I was beginning to hyperventilate, I sat back onto the floor resting my hands on my knees I attempted to calm myself. “Please Lee,” Twilight said, “It can’t be that bad we will let you leave after we’re done here and we can all forget abou-”

“You don’t get it, do you?” I asked looking up at them with a cold hearted expression. Kurt still stood there in shock, Twilight raised an eyebrow.

“What are you talking about?” Asked Twilight, glancing over at Celestia I saw her looking at me with a guilty look,

“I’m not from here,” I said, Twilight looked even more confused,

“Well we know that,”

“No you don’t.” I said, “I’m not from your world.” Twilight’s eyes widened in shock so did Spikes, except for Celestia who stood there almost expressionless.

“I’m not from this universe, Kurt and I come from a world known as Earth. And on this planet we lived in a country known as the United States of America.” Twilight looked at me then back at Spike,

“Spike go get my note pad and quill.” She said, the little dragon nodded his head in agreement and turned to go get her things.

Moments later I clambered back onto my feet, “So yeah, the only way back is magic.” I said. To my right I heard Celestia to my right sigh.

“So that’s what the spell did.” She mumbled to herself, Spell? What spell!? Quickly I glanced over at the Princess my brow furrowing,

“What spell?” I asked, this question seemed to snap Kurt out of his shocked state. Celestia glanced at me confused, “What spell?” Unlike answering me like a polite well taught person should, the Princess turns away from Kurt and I and glances towards Spike who had just returned from searching for Twilight’s notepad and quill. She nods at him and Spike nods back, approaching the library door that still stood ajar. He pushed it shut and locked it approaching the windows he grabbed the strings and pulled the blinds shut. This process went on for another few seconds, moments the five of us stood in a dimly lit library.

Celestia’s horn flared to life, within seconds all the windows even the door were encased in white aurora. “What did you just do?” I asked,

“I casted a spell so that no pony can hear us, encase somepony was listening in on us.” I nodded my head, why would she need to cast a spell? “Now I want you all to listen carefully, what I’m about to explain to you here better not leave this room.” She said, Twilight and Spike nodded their heads,

“We understand Princess.” They said in unison which was kinda creepy.

Celestia took a deep breath, looking over at me she says, “By my understanding you two seem to be pretty intelligent creatures.” Kurt nods and I say,

“Well I’m a sophmore in college.” Not knowing if that answers her question or not, so I shrug, “In other words yes we are.”

The princess nods her head in understanding, “Good then, hopefully what I’m about to say, you two will be able accept and understand.” My eyes narrow and I raise an eyebrow at the monarch

Alrighty then, this better be good.

“Now all of you, I need you to understand that not even I am perfect. That even me myself make mistakes, that not even I am fully aware of what magic can do. That not even I have full control over magic. And again like the most of us, I make mistakes.”

Raising an eyebrow I thought, I don't like where this is going.

“Two weeks ago I was in the middle of performing an experiment. And I have appeared to have stumbled upon something, something-”

“Wait, what do mean you stumbled upon something?” I asked growing suspicious, while everyone else in the room watched and listened to her with rapt attention.

“Please, Lee just hear me out here. During my experiment I stumbled upon a spell that not even I have seen before. Curious I activated the spell, for over an hour nothing happened. Thinking that it was only a dud I went back to work. Only to have a vortex of some kind open up in my room, which had a strong pull which began draining the entire room of magic. I do not understand it’s nature or what it is, or where it even came from. It just appeared...” Celestia took a breath,

“Luckily though before all the magic was drained I was able to use the last of my strength to drive it shut, but that only seemed to have made it worse. I appeared to have stopped the pull, but seconds later it began to push, which caused a large shock wave of magic that it absorbed to be released all over Equestria.”

“I was unfortunately unaware of the effects of the spell at the time,” She said glancing over at Kurt and I.

I glanced, around the room, knowing that this could only end in this worse way possible. Glancing back up at the monarch I saw that she had the look of guilt, instantly I felt a knot form in my gut, and I knew that she must have been feeling the same way.

“So... You’re telling me that you... That you discovered a spell... That you never even knew about... And had the audacity... To set it off in your bedroom!?” I asked stunned by what I was hearing. The monarch nodded sadly, “And you did it without doing any type of research or studying?... That is the most irresponsible thing I  have ever heard of!” I shouted causing everyone else to jump back. “That’s like saying the government came down to my house and handed me a large friggin top secret weapon! And I sat it off in my living room, I didn’t know what it was going to do! For all I knew it could cause a massive explosion! Better yet it could’ve done nothing!” The Goddess nodded her head in agreement,

“Yes it was foalish of me to perform such a stupid act, but yes what happened was in theory at least. That was not no vortex, instead it was a window a gate to other worlds. And with me interfering with it I’m afraid I... I must’ve dragged you into our world.”

“Wait what!” I shouted,

“Dear God...” Kurt said behind me, I glanced back at him,

“What?” I growled, Kurt looked at me his expression stricken with the look of fear.

“I was just hit with the biggest wave of deja vue. I seen-no read something extremely familiar to this before.” He mumbled, I shook my head,

“Now isn’t the time for this Kurt,” Turning back to Celestia I clenched my fist, “So you’re telling me you accidently dragged Kurt and I out of our lives and plopped us into yours!” I said jamming my left index finger at her. Behind me I felt Kurt place his hand on my shoulder, leaning in he whispered,

“Lee whatever you do, do not, I repeat do not attac-” Shoving Kurt back, I gave him an aggravated look.

“Now is not the time Kurt!” I snarled, turning back Celestia. I began taking deep breaths, trying to calm myself.

And with one last breath, I began approaching her while pulling up my sleeve on my right arm, I cocked my arm back and swung...

Let's go have a look around they said!

Chapter 4

You know those moments in life when everything goes slow motion? Usually when crazy things or something stupid happens? Well, I’m here now watching as my fist slowly drift it’s way towards the Princess of Equestria’s face. I watch as the Princess looks at me with a confused look and slowly begins to step back. I see Twilight and her pet gecko look at me with shocked and horrified expressions. In the corner of my eye I see Kurt lunging at me, with outstretched hands it also appears to me that he’s yelling something but I don’t hear him.

Turning back towards the Princess I finally realize one thing, what I’m doing right now is a major mistake. And it finally dawns on me, that right before I cocked my arm back Kurt was telling me not to attack the Princess. But  I continue watching as my fist was just merely inches away from connecting with her jaw knowing that it’s too late to even try and stop myself, until I felt something wrap around my arms causing me to bring my right arm back away from Celestia’s face. Instantly the world spins back into normal speed, gasping I look down and see that Kurt is holding me in place.

“You’re scum! You hear me? You’re all scum to me!” I shouted through clenched teeth, “I just want to strangle you! I want to wrap my hands around your putrid throats and squeeze every bit of life out of you!”

I fought against Kurt’s hold, glaring at the Princess with pure hatred, but to my avail I failed. Kurt has always been the stronger one out of the two of us. “Lee, Lee just chill the heck out man!” Kurt shouted at me, I turned to face Kurt beads of sweat slowly making it’s way down my forehead, taking a few deep breaths I felt my heart rate calm down. My ragged breaths became smoother, taking one last  deep breath I felt Kurt let go and I dropped to my knees.

“Please Lee, forgive me for breaking this to you.” Said Celestia who was approaching me, “But you must understand that I can fix this.” This statement brought my attention back up to the monarch, “If you can give me one month, I might be able reenact the spell and send you two home.” I felt myself push off the ground as I stood back on my feet, wiping my chin with my sleeve I glared at the Princess,

A month... I’m going to be stuck in this God awful place for a month.

With a sigh I glanced over at Kurt, who nodded his head in agreement with the Princess. Turning back towards the monarch I nodded, “Don’t think this’ll change anything between us.” I said, “But thanks anyways.”

Celestia nodded, “I can understand why you’re angry.” I turned away from the Princess,

“Just please, leave me alone for now.” I said turning away from the Princess, “I don’t want to try and punch you again.” Celestia took a deep breath, looking down at Twilight she said,

“I believe it’s time I need to go Twilight, I have things I need to attend to back at Canterlot-”

“Yeah, like getting us the Hell out of here.” I snorted, glancing over at Twilight I saw that she was giving me a disapproving glare. I shrugged, “Hey, it’s true.” Twilight shook her head and turned her attention back over to the Princess,

“I understand Princess; I can take things over from here.” She said. Celestia tilted her head towards me and Kurt, “It’s been a pleasure to meet you Lee and... Sorry, but what is your name again?” She asked Kurt, who stood there looking dejected.

“My name is... Kurt.” He said. Hanging his head low, taking my gaze back over to Celestia I saw her mouth twist into a tiny smirk.

What a jerk!

With that she turned back towards Twilight, giving her one last nod. Her horn flared to life, seconds passed as the white aura that in wrapped the door and windows began to dissipate. The sight of the colors fading into nothing astound me, I’m never going to get use to this magic crap. I thought, with that the Monarch gave each of us one last nod before leaving.

Once I heard the door shut, I dropped to my knees and cradled my head in the palms of my hands. Taking a deep breath I brought my arms down, so that they swung limply at my sides. “Were going to be here for an entire month.” I sighed, “An entire month... Heh, what are we going to do now?”

“Where are we going to stay?” Kurt asked, Twilight sighed,

“Well... I believe I have some room in my basement.” She said, I raised an eyebrow at that. “But I don’t think I have enough space to house both of you.” I rolled my eyes,

“Well now, this just brings up a whole new problem. Where are we going to stay?” I asked, looking up at Twilight who was now standing by the staircase. I saw her slump down onto her haunches, letting out quiet hmm every now and again. After what felt like an eternity her face lit up,

“I believe Appleja- wait no... That wouldn’t work...There is Rarity-”

“No! I’m not going back over to her place.” I snapped, Twilight winced,

“What’s wrong with Rarity?” She asked. I sighed not wanting to think back to earlier I said,

“You don’t even wanna know. I get that she’s your friend, so let’s just please drop the subject before I say something I’ll regret.” Twilight looked slightly bewildered, but continued nonetheless.

“Uh, okay... Well, Pinkie has a lot of work going on at the moment, with baking and taking care of the Cake twins.” Twilight took a deep frustrated breath,

“What about Fluttershy?” Said Spike who was making his way over to the statue I dropped earlier “She’s always willing to take in some new animals.”

“Hey, we aren't animals.” Said Kurt, causing the dragon to sigh.

“What I mean is she will take care of anything that doesn’t have a place to stay.” Spike said, picking up the statue. He frowned at the sight of the broken ear. Looking over at Twilight, she nodded taking the statue in her magical glow. She then lifted the earpiece off the ground, bringing the two together she squinted her eyes in concentration. Within seconds the magical aura that encased the two objects began to glow brighter and brighter. Seconds passed, when the unicorn was finished she placed the statue back on the table looking good as new.

I stood there bewildered, Now only if I had some magic back at home. I wouldn’t need to buy so many Xbox controllers.

“Do you really think Fluttershy would allow either of us to stay with her?” Kurt asked, knocking me out of my amazed state.

“I don’t see why not.” Twilight said, standing back up. She made her way over to a nearby bookshelf. Snatching one of the books off the shelf she began flipping through the pages, “If you want I can go and ask her.”She asked without glancing up at either of us. Kurt smiled, scratching the back of his head he said,

“That would be great.” Slamming her book shut, Twilight placed it back in it’s designated location.

“It’s official then. I’ll go ask Fluttershy while you two stay here, and make yourselves comfortable.” Twilight’s horn flared to life, but before anything happened. It died down and she looked at the two of us with a serious expression. “One last thing before I go. Don’t. Touch. Anything!” Kurt and I flinched. “Besides the books,” She continued, her magic returning. “Even then, put them back when you’re done!” With that a bright light enveloped Twilight and she was gone. Leaving Kurt and I alone with the Dragon who sat by the statue, stretching his arms he stood up.

“I think I’m going to go to bed.” Spike said, scratching his back he looked over at us. “Just warning you two.” He said, “I would seriously not touch anything. You don’t want to see Twilight when she’s angry, trust me.” With that the Dragon stretched his legs and began heading upstairs. I sighed, unslinging my bags off my shoulder. A tremendous wave of relief swept through me as their weight fell off my shoulder. Taking a deep breath, I sat on the hard wooden floor and rubbed the sides of my temples. I was distracted by the sound of childish giggles to my right. Raising an eyebrow I turned my head over to see an overly excited Kurt.

“What’s got you all riled up?” I asked, massaging my shoulder. At the sound of my voice Kurt stopped, looking over at me. I could see the expression on his face go from excitement to instant serious.

“Eh, wh-what I mean- Ahem.” He said pounding his chest. “N-nothing.” I rolled my eyes. He was having one of his Fanboy moments, I could just tell.

“Alright,” I said standing up, “I’m going to go have a look around. You... You just go do whatever you bronies ever dreamed of.” I said turning away from him I began heading towards the stairs. After a few strides I placed my foot on the extremely small step, which obviously wasn’t meant for human feet. I began heading up the steps, but was instantly stopped by Kurt’s voice,

“Whoa, whoa, you can’t go up there!” I glanced down at Kurt frowning I shook my head and decided to ignore him. “I’m being serious Lee, what if she has some type of secret or something up there!?” He pleaded, while following me up there.

“Well, she’s been keeping secrets from us for over two weeks now.” I said, Kurt stopped.

“Okay you gotta point there. But that doesn’t change the fact where trespassing in someone's room.” He said. Moments later I stood on the second floor of Twilight’s library, which wasn’t much. To my left was another set of stairs that led up to a bed that I assumed was Twilight’s. In front of me was an arched doorway that led to another room. Above that arch was again Twilight’s bed, around me I saw a few more bookshelves, a globe and other nicknacks. While observing my surroundings, my nostrils were struck by a peculiar odor which seemed to come from the room that had the arched doorway.

“Do you smell that?” I asked, ignoring Kurt’s previous statement. Kurt came up behind me, sticking his nose in the air he took a few sniffs.

“Yeah, what do you think it is?” He asked, knitting his brow and obviously growing curious.

“I don’t know, but I think it’s coming from back here.” I said cautiously making my way towards the arched doorway. Above me I heard an obnoxious snort. “What the heck was that!” I jumped back startled.

“Shh!” Kurt hissed, looking back I saw him crouch down. Pointing upwards with his index finger, I gazed upwards to see the dragon lying in what looked like a doggy bed. “He’s sleeping.” Kurt whispered. Looking over at Kurt I replied,

“You don’t think I already knew that?” Above me I heard Spike moan, turning my attention back over to the sleeping dragon I saw him rolling over in his bed.

“Keep your voice down!” Kurt hissed, “Now let’s go back downstairs before Twilight get’s back and notices we’re gone!” I waved my hand to the side silencing him.

“Not till I figure out what the heck that smell is.” Rolling his eyes Kurt said,

“Does it really matter? It’s just a smell.” Sighing I replied,

“Yes, it does matter. What if it’s some type of perfume, that none of her friends know about or something?” Kurt gave me an unconvincing look,

“Really now? And what are you going to do if it is? Blackmail her?”

“Of course!” I said a little too loud. Above me I heard Spike grumble something in his sleep,

“Shh!” Kurt shushed, shaking his head he asked, “Why?”

“Because she's one of the reasons why we’ve been here longer than we should have!” I said, Kurt face palmed.

“No she isn’t! It’s Celestia’s fault, and even then she said it was an accident.” He said, “Plus Lee, I don’t ever remember you being one that hold grudges.” I turned away from Kurt,

“Well then you haven’t known me long enough.” I said quietly making my way into the room while trying not to wake the sleeping dragon.

The room I entered was something beyond my wildest dreams. It was decently sized and filled with weird machines. Tables lined with bottles full of colorful liquids, a brewing table to my left sat in a corner. To my right was an Alchemy table that looked like something out of Skyrim. In front of me, however, was what caught my attention the most.

A lone test tube filled to the brim with a dark purple liquid, which was constantly bubbling. Even though the test tube had a large cork on top of it, it still released a strong odor. The tube was held up by a small stand, curious I decided to go and inspect this potion of some sorts. “Lee!” Kurt hissed from the other room. Turning back I said,

“What!”

“What’s in there?” He asked, pinching the bridge of my nose I took three deep breaths.

“Well I dunno?” I said sarcastically, “How about you come in here and tell me!”

“Come on man,” Kurt groaned, “you heard what Spike said, we don’t want to see Twilight angry.” Groaning in frustration, I looked over at the test tube then back over to where Kurt was.

“You know Kurt, you’re never going to accomplish anything in life if you don’t learn to face your fears.” I said, hoping that this cliche would actually give him the motivation to actually come in here and stop being a pansy.

“Fine,” I raised an eyebrow, wow it actually worked. I thought. “I’ll come in there but if anything stupid happens I’m blaming this all on you.”

“Go ahead, but what’s a small purple pony going to do me? Snuggle me to death?” I said rolling my eyes,

“Oh it’s not the pony you should be worried about.” Kurt said finally stepping in here, “It’s me you should be worried about.” He said giving me a stern look. I grinned,

“There’s the Kurt I like.” I said, turning away from him I turned my attention back over to the tube that laid idly on it’s stand.

“So that’s where the smell is coming from?” Kurt asked, nodding my head I began to approach the purple fizzy potion.

“What do you think it is?” I asked, bending down for a closer look.

“I dunno. Could be some type of love potion, or a poison, or something that can make zombies. Jesus I dunno Lee can we go now? We had our fill let’s get on outta here, before Twilight get’s back!” I glared at Kurt,

“Hold on, I’m not finished.” Reaching up with my hand, I went to grab the tube. Only to have my hand smacked away by Kurt.

“Didn’t you hear Twilight and Spike earlier!? They said, ‘Don’t. Touch. Anything!’” I brought my hand back rubbing it. Standing back up so I was back at eye level with Kurt I said,

“Come on man, I just want to check it out and quickly put it back. She won’t even notice. Trust me.” Kurt grasped onto my shoulders, looking me in the eyes he said,

“Lee we are talking about, an extremely OCD unicorn. A mare who organizes everything, and knows every single one of her books in this here library by heart. I think she’ll notice if someone touched one of her experiments.” I gently pushed myself away from Kurt,

“Come on, you read to many online stories.” Turning my attention back over to the potion I reached out to grab, again only to have my hand smacked away again. I sighed in frustration,

“Goddammit man, would you just chill out! Seriously, nothing bad is going to happen!” I snapped, Kurt sighed.

“I’m not willing to take any risks.” He said, making me pinch the bridge of my nose. Taking a deep breath I glanced outside the window that sat above the table. An idea forming in my mind, smiling I pulled on my best acting skills. Acting shocked, I pulled the most cliche trick in the cliche trick handbook,

“Oh crap! Is that Twilight outside!” Kurt spun around in shock,

“Oh no!” He said, quickly my arm flung towards the potion. Instead of grabbing it the top of my fingers bumped into the stand. Causing it to wobble, I could feel the knot forming in pit of my stomach. I watched the test tube wobble back and forth, every growing second I grew nervous. Praying to the All Mighty God himself, hoping that it wouldn’t fall. But before anything could happen. I saw Kurt reach out and grab it, stopping it from falling. I let out a sigh of relief,

“Phew, that was close.” I said rubbing my forehead with my sleeve, I felt an explosion of pain erupt out of the side of my stomach. All air was sucked out my lungs and I crumpled to my knees, “Ah!... God... Dangit!” I wheezed,

“That’s what you get for tricking me! And you almost caused the potion to fall!” He said, trying not to be too loud.

“Okay...” I said, gasping for air. “I... Kind of... Deserved that.”

“You think!?” Kurt sighed, “You know what, I’m going back downstairs.” Kurt said waving his arm at me, he began heading towards the door “You do whatever.” Clambering back onto my feet I glanced over at the potion, to my own astonishment. Something was happening, it began to glow slightly, whatever happened when I bumped it, must’ve stirred it or something. The odor that filled the room earlier seemed to grow thicker, stronger than it was before. Kurt stopped, “Do you smell that?” he asked. Looking at the now glowing potion I took a whiff, frowning I said,

“Smells alot like gasoline.” Kurt turned towards me confused, turning I met his gaze.

“Why would it smell like...” Kurt trailed off into silence. His eyes growing wide in fear,

“What,” I said turning to see what he’s so scared of. “Does the smell of... Gasoline... Terrify you...” I trailed off into silence, the now brightly glowing test tube blinded my eyes. I could now feel an immense heat coming off of it, for some reason it began to let off a low hum. Stepping back I shielded my eyes.

“Lee, I think we should go now!” Kurt said no longer hushing his voice.

“Yeah I think we sh-” I was cut off by a loud bang, an intense wave of heat and energy threw Kurt and I back. Wooden tables were now splintered projectiles, along with shards of glass and scrap metal from the machines. Lucky Kurt and I were standing in front of the arch way, because we were thrown into the other room and not into a wall.

Landing on the wooden floor with a thud, I groaned in pain. My body was sore and a few parts were burnt, bringing my hand up to my forehead I was lucky my eyebrows weren’t burnt off. “What in the name of Celestia was that!?” Spike shouted, now wide awake due to the explosion. Beside me I heard Kurt groan, pushing himself to his feet he began to say,

“Let’s go look around they said, let’s touch the purple potion they said! Exploded it did!” He moaned,

“You touched what!” Spike said, “I told you two not to touch anything!” Forcing myself up to my feet I said,

“Come on guys, it can’t be that bad.” I said grasping for straws now, turning around I continued, “Let’s go observe the damage and we... Oh crap...” In front of me was a large hole that was looking over a field that led to a forest in the distance, which was now littered with debris. Spike came down the stairs and made his way up to us.

“Oh, no, oh, no, no, no. This isn’t good! Not good at all!” Looking over the wreckage I sighed, glancing down at the young dragon I asked,

“Got any duct tape?”

:[-]:

“How could you two, cause so much damage in such a short period of time!?” Twilight roared, Kurt and I sat solemnly on the couch, in the library’s main room. Twilight began to pace around the room, “I leave you alone for ten minutes... Ten minutes! And you blew up a portion of my home!” Twilight took a deep breath. Sitting down she looked up at Kurt and I, “That was over eighty hours of research down the drain.” She whispered. Sighing I looked up at Twilight,

“What was that potion anyways?” I asked, getting up from where she sat Twilight made her way towards one of the bookshelves.

“Fertilizer,” She said grabbing another one of her books off the shelf. “I was creating a special type of fertilizer, that would enhance the growth speed of plants.” She explained, making her way back towards us with a book in her magic. She levitated it over to me, taking the book in hand I glanced down at it.

“It’s a fertilizer manual,” I said, “but the question I wanted to ask is, why did it blow up?” I asked handing the book back over to Twilight.

“Fertilizer is very explosive.” Twilight said, “At least my kind, but... It was still in it’s experimental stage. I didn’t even know if it was safe or not,” Kurt sighed,

“Don’t worry Twilight we’ll fix your experimentation room for you.” My eyes snapped towards Kurt,

“We’ll what!?” I asked, Twilight nodded.

Of course, you will.” I frowned glancing back at Twilight, She knows the meme too? Shaking my head I stood up from the couch.

“Okay,” I said raising my hands. “We’ll fix your house. But the original reason on why we’re all here. Is to figure out who is staying with who?” Twilight nodded in agreement,

“Fine.” she said, I smiled.

“Okay good because I’m staying with you.” I said pointing my index finger at her, Twilight gave me an irritated look.

“Wh-what you can’t just say you’re going to stay with me!” She said, standing back onto her hooves. She shook her head. “I didn't even tell you what Fluttershy said.” I shrugged,

“Well what did she say?” I asked. Her ears flattening she said,

“Fluttershy said, since she’s taking care of a few new animals. She only has enough room to house one of you.” Smiling I said,

“It’s official then, I’m staying with you.” I said patting her on the back, I began heading down stairs.

“Hey, where are you going?” Kurt asked rising up from his seat,

“I’m going to go check out my new room.” I said waving goodbye to them while heading down the stairs.

I’d have to admit, the basement really wasn’t that bad. Despite it being pitch black, and littered with multiple objects, it was nice and cool down here. After about a few minutes of fumbling around in the darkness I finally found what I was searching for. Grasping the small string that hung from the ceiling, I pulled down on it. Only to blinded by the small light bulb above me, shielding my eyes I took a few steps back causing myself to stumble over a few boxes. After regaining my balance my vision adjusted to the lights.

Just as I thought the basement mostly consisted of storage, piles of boxes were stashed everywhere on all sides of the room. I saw an old bed in the far right corner of the room, stripped of sheets and blankets. Just an old stained mattress and a frame, just beside the bed stood what seemed to me as an old dry rotted nightstand. Better than nothing really. I thought,

Approaching the bed, I rested my hand on top of the it. I smiled at how soft it felt, it reminded me of my Aunt Nancy’s tempur pedic back at home. I sighed, the thought of being back home seeping back into my mind. “So... How do you like it?” Asked Spike ripping me out of my thoughts, turning around I grinned.

“Well... It’s not as good as my old room back home.” I said wiping my hand on my black jacket. “But it’ll do for now.” Nodding his head Spike said,

“Yeah, if you haven’t noticed Twilight and I mostly use this part of the house as storage. That bed over there use to be part of the old guest bedroom. Before Twilight converted it into her laboratory, which you blew up earlier. Which by the way I’ll admit was pretty cool.” I smiled,

“Yeah it was.” I agreed, Spike smiled,

"Well hope you have a good time here in Equestria.” He said,

“Yeah...” I said glancing around, “I’ll try my best.” I regrettably said. Before turning away to leave Spike pointed at my jacket.

“Oh by the way, you got grey on you.” He said, raising an eyebrow I glanced down. Only to see a large patch of dust that I appeared to have wiped on myself earlier! Cursing to myself I patted the dust off my jacket. Glancing back at the bed I frowned,

“This place is going to need a makeover before I go to bed.” I said to myself, taking a deep breath I took one last glance around the room, before getting ready to clean up.

After You

Chapter 5

Setting aside the last box, I stood back stretched out my arms. Letting out a yawn, I reached into my pocket out of force of habit; I took out my phone to check the time. Looking at the clock mounted on the far side of the room for clarification, I realized mine is two hours off. “Figures,” I snorted. Placing the phone back into my pocket, I looked over at my new room with satisfaction. Everything was cleared out and equally spaced. All the boxes sat on the right side of the room while my bed and nightstand sat on the left; I also found an old dresser which sat up against the wall under a basement window that had been shattered due to the shock wave caused by the exploding fertilizer. I smiled at the thought of the explosion

Glancing over at my bed, I frowned. It was still dusty as all Hell, but that was an easy fix. Grabbing the sides, I flipped the mattress over only to be greeted by an unexpected site. A large hole sat in the middle of bed, with stuffing was jutting out of the bottom. One spot had a spring popping out of it. “Fantastic.” I muttered to myself. Taking a deep breath, I decided to test the bed.

As I slowly sat down, the bed creaked in protest. But once I released my full weight upon it, I found that it was rather comfortable, despite the large hole and that one spring which I sure as Hell knew would cause problems later on when trying to sleep. That this wasn’t half bad, flinging my legs onto the bed I sat back against the headboard.

Grabbing my laptop bag, that sat right next to my bed; along with my shoulder bag, which still had all my textbooks in it. I sighed, remembering earlier when I was down here working. Twilight came down shortly after Spike left, when she noticed my bags she got curious. Even though I told her not to touch my bags, she decided to do it anyways. Probably did it to get back at me for touching her obnoxiously exploding fertilizer. I was afraid that if she found those textbooks she would take them away from me for... I don’t know, research I guess.

I don’t even know why I’m still holding onto them; I have no use for them anymore. Possibly because it’s the only type of human literature I still have... Well, Kurt still has his textbooks, but I haven’t spoken to him since the explosion. Maybe I have them for, I don’t know... A little piece of home I guess.

I opened my laptop bag, taking my laptop out I turned it on. When the blue windows screen came on, I noticed the small white text bubble in the corner of my screen, notifying me that I only had fifty percent of my battery life left. Out of force of habit I reached into the bag to retrieve my charger cord, only to freeze up and realize that... There is no electricity in this world.

Aggravated, I turned my laptop off and closed the lid. Placing it back in my bag I sat it on the nightstand, flinging my legs back over the bed. I rested my head in the palms of my hands, taking a deep breath I said, “This is going to be the longest month of my entire life...” I trailed off; I heard the door to the basement open up.

“Lee-”

“Go away!” I yelled up to Twilight,

“Come on Lee,”

“I’m not telling you what’s in those bags. Now could you please go away? I’m not in the mood for talking.” I explained,

“I’m not here to ask you about those bags, you have a visitor.”

The corner of my lips dropped into a frown. Who in the right mind would want to visit me? “Well... Who is it?” I asked, for a second Twilight didn’t respond. But when she did I froze,

“It’s Rarity...” I sat there in silence, “Lee-”

“No! I’m not talking to her, just please leave me be.”

Twilight sat in silence for a moment, above me I could hear faint murmurs coming from the libraries main room.“Lee, Rarity says she’s sorry.” I waved my hand in the air not caring, laying back on my bed I said,

“Alright cool.”

“Oh that’s great, so are you going to come up?”

“No.” I said pulling out my history textbook, I flipped to the first page and began to read.

“Come on, Lee, you’re acting like a child.”

I smirked, deciding to be a smart ass I said,“How do you know what human children act like? For all you know, they could be far more mature than us adults.” I said.

Again Twilight sat in silence,“Are they?” She asked,

“NO!” I shouted,

“Please, Lee, it’ll only be for a second. After that we’ll leave you alone for the rest of the night, okay?” I glanced up from my book.

Looking over at the staircase, I submitted to defeat.“Fine I’ll come up for a second, but I swear to God, if any of you two, freeze me, put me to sleep, or even tie me to some freaking table. I’ll smother both of you in your sleep...” I closed my book and sat it on the nightstand along with my laptop.

I made my way up the steps I looked up at Twilight who had a slightly disgusted expression.“That is disturbing on so many levels...” She said, taking a step back so I can get past her.

“Well, it’s true.” Once I stepped into the main room, I turned my head over to Rarity who sat by the door. I saw that she was wearing a saddlebag that was completely filled with papers, in her magic I saw that she was holding three already. “So, you aren’t here to kidnap me are you?” I asked,

“No darling, I came here simply to present you these designs I made for your new clothing.” I raised an eyebrow. Glancing down at myself I realized that I was still only wearing my shoes, jeans, and black jacket. Which was open and allowed everypony...? Goddammit! Now they got me saying it!

That allowed everybody to see my bare naked chest. “Heh, that’s right... So what have you got for me?” I asked. Rarity nodded her head. Smiling she levitated three drawings of three T-shirts that also came with ties. Each shirt was blank in color, but each one was labeled.

The first shirt was your common white polo with a black tie. Looking add it I shrugged, it’s a possibility but I don’t need anything fancy, I thought. Setting that page to the side I looked at the next, the shirt was the same except for a that this one was a blue polo with a red tie. Again I shrugged, flipping the page to the next I grinned, just like my original it was a white polo with a red tie. Looking up at Rarity, I saw that she looked extremely nervous. I mean seriously, the look on her face! Her eyes were large and glassy and the way her bottom lip was jutting out, I swear it looked as if she was on the verge of tears. I smiled, handing her the papers I said,

“I like them,”

Rarity’s face lit up with joy,“You do?” I nodded,

“Yes, I like all of them.” I said, this comment seemed to make Rarity almost faint.

After she recovered she nodded,“Thank you, darling, this really means a lot to me. Now which one do you want me to make for you?”

Smiling I said,“The third one; with the white shirt, and red tie,” I said.

Nodding her head Rarity said,“I’ll get down to it, you should have it by tomorrow morning.” She said,

I raised an eyebrow, “There’s no need to over work yourself,” I said, “you’ve probably been working on those drawings almost all day.” I said pointing at all the ones in her bag, which probably had a hundred pictures of the same shirt but with different color combinations.

Rarity shook her head in objection,“I’m sorry, dear, but it’s the only way that I can redeem myself for what I did to you.” She said.

I shrugged,“Okay then,” I said, “by the way thanks for the free shirt.”

Rarity waved her hoof at me,“Don’t worry about it, darling, it’s the least I can do for you. Now I must be going now, it’s getting late and Sweetie Belle should be getting home soon.” She said, turning to the door. After Rarity left I turned to head downstairs.

“Hey, Lee,” Twilight said.

I stopped, turning to face her I said,“Yeah?”

Twilight smiled,“That was nice of you say back there. You really made Rarity feel good about herself.”

I grinned,“Do you honestly believe I’m jerk all the time? Yeah I’m still angry at her, but meh... Got get it over it at some point. And hey, at least I’m getting free clothes out of this.” I said.

As I began to descend into the basement; I was again stopped by Twilight, “Hey, Lee,”

I stopped again, turning to face her I asked, “What?”

“Could you please tell me what’s in that ba-”

“No!” I snapped, grabbing the door I slammed it shut.

:[-]:

The vibration from the bass reverberated throughout my entire body, the music gliding in and out my ears. I sat back my head resting against the seat my eyes closed, my foot tapping with the beat of the music. Opening my eyes I saw Kurt in over on the dance floor dancing with Hillarie Roberson, getting up I took one last swig of my beer and began stumbling my way over to him. Pushing my way through people, I almost tripped over one man who was passed out on the floor.

“Whoa, sorry man...” I mumble while looking back at the man, “I didn’t mean to step on your face...” I turned my head back over to Kurt. “H-hey, man,” I beamed, placing my hand on Kurt’s shoulder I smiled at him. “H-how’s it goin?” Kurt stopped dancing looking at Hillarie she nodded her head in understanding. Turning away from us she made her way over to the bar, Kurt turned to me his face growing serious.

“What the Hell was that man? You saw I was in the zone!” He said, glancing over back at her, seeing that she was still over at the bar he looked back at me. I chuckled,

“I-I’m s-sooorry. Ahahaha.” I laughed for no reason at all, stumbling back I almost fell. Kurt grabbed me by the arm.

“Lee, how many beers have you had?” He asked, raising my hand I counted.

“Three.” I said even though I held up five fingers. Kurt sighed,

“Lee, go home. You’re obviously drunk.” I shook my head no, taking a few shambling steps forward I wrapped my arm around Kurt’s neck and brought him in close so I can whisper in his ear.

“Come on brah... You knowzz I can’t do that... I’m gonna get in trouble...” I burped in Kurt’s face. Kurt recoiled back,

“Jesus Christ man!” Reaching into his pocket of his jacket, he pulled out a packet of gum, taking out a strip he handed it to me. “Here take this, good God!” He said waving his hand in front of his nose. Taking the gum, I popped it in my mouth. The mint flavor mixed with the taste of beer didn’t really go well together, but I decided to chew it anyways,

“Sooo... I was gonna assk youu, If you cann take me home?” I slurred my words. Kurt shook his head,

“Yeah sure, whatever man. Come on, the exit’s this way.” He said taking me by the wrist. Kurt guided me through the crowd of young adults; when we reached the exit, Kurt opened the door and I was blinded by flash of white light. Followed by the noises of twisting screeching metal, screams and the sound of something landing in water...

My eyes flung open, and I was gasping for air. Sweat poured down my face, the smell of fresh flowers reaching my nostrils. Closing my eyes I relaxed, reaching to my right I grabbed my laptop. Pushing myself up in bed I opened my eyes, looking around I remembered where I was. Letting out disappointing sigh, I moved my text book over and I opened my laptop and started it up, when the screen came to life I instinctively hovered my cursor over Google chrome only to remember there is no internet here.

Letting out another breath, not wanting to play Don’t Starve I just opened up Mine Sweeper. After a few rounds of trial and error, I was finally able to beat one game. Looking over at the clock on the wall I noticed I’ve been playing for over an hour. Checking my battery life revealed that I had used up at least three percent of it. Not wanting to waste it all playing games, I closed the lid and placed it back over on my bag which rested on the nightstand.

Stepping off the bed, I slowly made my way through the dimly lit basement. Climbing up the steps, my right foot caught one of the steps and I slipped. Trying to catch myself my head cracked against the door. Cursing at the door, I slowly climbed back onto my feet; grabbing the door knob I opened the it and stumbled into the library cradling my head. Looking around, I saw Twilight in a chair that sat in the corner of the room reading a book to her right laid a bunch of wooden planks, beams, and other building material. Looking up at me she said,

“Good Afternoon.” She said with soft smile,

Looking over the materials, I raised an eyebrow. “Wh-what’s all... this stuff for?” I mumbled, still not fully wake. God I would kill for a cup of coffee.

Twilight grinned, “You’re going to be fixing my home today.”

My eyes narrowed, “Wait, what?” Twilight nodded,

closing her book she sat on the end table. “Yeah, you heard me. You’re going to fix my home, you even agreed to it yourself.”

I pointed my finger at her. “When the heck did I ever agree to...” Flashbacks of last night came into play. Okay, we’ll fix the house... “Oh… yeah, that’s right I did say that.” Twilight nodded her head again, scratching the back of my neck I made my way over towards the couch. Sitting down I looked over at her, folding my hands I said, “Well just letting you know, I know little to nothing about construction.” I said, “But I do know how to draw and animate... But that’s about it... So, where’s Kurt?” I asked,

Twilight picked her book back up. Opening it she began reading, “He’s over at Fluttershy’s, he’s supposed to be arriving in half hour or so.” Twilight once again took her attention away from her book; looking over at me she said, “You know, we still never had that talk about your world.”

I raised an eyebrow, “What are you talking about?” I asked,

“Yesterday before you went into Rarity's Boutique; you promised to tell me about your world.”

I nodded my head, Dammit Lee, stop making promises you know you won’t keep! I scolded myself on the inside. I let out a shaky breath, “Well... Where would you like to start?” I asked.

Twilight tilted her head; tapping the bottom of her chin with her hoof she began thinking. After about a minute of this she turned her head back to me, “Hold on for a second okay.” She said while getting up she made her way upstairs. I sat back on the couch, scratching the back of my head. I heard something fall from upstairs and Twilight saying something I couldn’t quite make out. Looking over at the stairs I saw a blank scroll roll down the steps only to stop right at my feet. Raising an eyebrow in confusion I tilted my head towards the stairs again. Only to see Twilight attempting to make her way down the stairs, while carrying a large pile of papers, ink pots, and quills.

“Are all those necessary?” I asked the stumbling unicorn,

“Probably not,” She said stepping down onto ground level, “But there must be a lot of interesting things in your world, that I might want to write down.” Making her way over to her chair, she sat the scrolls and note books to the side. Sitting down she levitated a piece of parchment into the air along with a quill and an ink pot.

I stared at Twilight for a second but then just shrugged it off. “Okay then. So where would you like to start?” I asked

Twilight again, for a second sat there thinking then she said, “Tell me about you.”

I clapped my hands together and rested my back up against the chair. “Well bring up a chair lad because this is going to be a long story.”

Twilight tilted her head in confusion. “But I’m already in a chair.” She said,

I rolled my eyes, “It’s a figure of speech, but anywho. Obviously you my name is Lee James Harrison, I was born in Paterson New Jersey in the year 1990. I attended school at the age of...” I sat there telling Twilight my entire life story. She sat there listening closely, soaking up everything I had to say. Every now and again she would stop me and ask me a question, like what’s a car? Or what’s a Television? I would then tell her; and she would write it all down onto a piece of paper. Occasionally nodding her head and mumbling to herself, I would then continue on with my story.

We sat there for over a half an hour talking, “On September 11, of the year 2001. I was now a eleven years old, and on that day my country America was attacked.”

Twilight gasped and covered her hoof with her mouth, “What happened?” She asked, I glanced over at her.

“Remember, those two really big buildings I told you where my Uncle Johnny worked at?” Twilight nodded her head, “Well, it so turns out these group of terrorists hijacked these airplanes and flew them into the towers. Causing them to blow up and destroy them.”

Twilight gasped, “That’s horrible who could do such a thing?” I shrugged, “Well was your Uncle okay.” I nodded my head slightly.

“His job called him that day telling him, that he wasn’t needed that day. And he could, have the day off.” Twilight nodded, leaning over her paper she wrote a few more things down. A knock came at the front door, glancing over at the door I saw a silhouette standing behind it. “That must be Kurt.” I said, getting up from the couch I began making my way towards the door. Grasping my hand over the knob of the door I opened, in front of me stood Kurt and behind him was a small yellow pegasus.

Looking up at Kurt I notice something was different about him, a dark rim out lined his right eyes which was barely even open due to swelling. “Holy crap man what happened to you?” I asked,

Kurt raised an eyebrow at me, “What no warm welcoming?” He asked,

I grinned, “Sorry but,” I gestured toward my own right eye and sarcastically asked, “What’s with all the makeup?”

Kurt let out an irritated sigh, “Last night I got into a fight.” He said,

I stood back stunned. “Really with who, was it pony? Did you kick its ass?” I began bombarding Kurt with questions.

Raising a hand he silenced me, “No, it wasn’t a pony. And no, I lost.”

I frowned cracking my knuckles I said, “Alright who is it? What is it? Come on man I got your back; let’s go kick its ass!”

Kurt raised his hand again to silence me. “Its name is Angel, its bunny rabbit. And trust me Lee; it’s no angel... It’s the spawn of Satan himself.”

I stood there for a second in shock; the yellow pegasus behind Kurt gave him a disapproving glare. I stood there letting everything Kurt has told me sink in, once it finally did. I began laughing hysterically, “Wh-haha-di-ha-did you just say-hahaha-Y-y-you got your ass kicked-hahaha-by a rabbit!” I stumbled back clutching my now aching gut due to me laughing so hard.

“Go ahead, laugh, laugh all you want. But you go and try to fight that white fuzz ball, go over there and tell me you can win a fight against that thing. I’ll bet you twenty-bucks you can’t beat that thing!”

Regaining my composure I looked over at him, “Bet you twenty-bucks I-”

I felt something grab hold of my right ear and tug really hard. Eliciting pain from it, “Nopony is going to go beat up Fluttershy’s Angel, now can you two please come in here and have a seat so we can begin.” Said Twilight,

while dragging me back inside, “Ah! Crap... Let go... That hurts dammit!” I complained while Twilight dragged me back inside. Shortly after Kurt and Fluttershy came in slightly behind me, forcing me back onto the couch Twilight released her grip on my ear. Cupping a hand around my ear I winced, “Was that really necessary?” I asked looking over at Twilight.

Twilight shrugged, “How else was I going to stop you from getting yourself into more trouble?” She said raising an eyebrow at me.

“Hey come on now its no-”

Kurt placed a hand on my shoulder, “Come on man just let it go okay.”

I sighed, “Fine.”

Kurt turned his attention towards Twilight, “So when do you want us to start?” he asked.

“Right now would be great, but if you two have any trouble. Feel free to ask and I’ll see what me and the girls can do to help.”

“Like we’re going to need any help from you guys,” I snorted, my over confidence was starting to get the better of me.

Twilight glanced over at Fluttershy, “Well if you say so. I’ll help run the tools up stairs for you.”

After about twenty minutes of getting everything sorted out, Kurt and I now stood on the ledge of what use to be Twilights Laboratory. Looking over the day old wreckage I took a shaky breath, “So... Do you have any idea what we’re supposed to do?” I asked looking over at him.

Kurt stared blankly at the wreckage; after a few moments of letting my question sink in he too took a deep breath. “Well, I took two years of construction back in High School... What about you?”

I chuckled shaking my head I said, “Nope-” picking a hammer up off the ground, “-I have no idea what I’m doing!”

Kurt chortle he too lifting a hammer in one hand, and a two by four in the other, “Let’s get started shall we?” He asked,

Gesturing towards the wreckage I said, “After you.” Kurt nodded, as he went past me we and got to work.
