"Should I do this?"Fluttershy thought to herself waiting at her usual table at Sugar Cube Corner.

Last night seemed like a eternity ago as she waited for her date to arrive. Yes, she was very aware that she was going on a date by this point, and she was not taking it well. Upon realizing that, she had started to get very nervous. Luckily it was a slow day at Sugar Cube Corner, with most of the customers just doing pick ups. She was glad for that though, if there had been any busier she might feel even more uncomfortable. Fluttershy had never done anything like this before, this was her first date ever. She didn't know what to do, so she just sat there eagerly awaiting her date. That thought was too much for her to take, she had to get out of there. But as she was about to get up, Moon Light entered through the front door. As she saw him enter, all of her anxiety vanished as she gave him a graceful wave to lure him over to her table.

"Hey," he said on his way to the table, "have you been waiting long?"

"Um, no," she answered. It was a little bit of a lie, she had been there for about a half hour

"Great, thanks for taking me around town," He said in a energetic tone, "I would have just wandered around, and would probably have ended up lost for sure."

Fluttershy couldn't help but be both relived and and dissapionted with Moon Light's words. At least she could relax now if only a bit. But somehow she found that she could relax around him, fairly easily. She never really felt comfortable around stallions, but somehow with him she could.

"So, what's good to eat hear?" he asked playfully while grabbing a menu, "i am completely at your mercy."

"Oh, no I couldn't," Fluttershy said with surprise, she didn't want the responsibility of picking his lunch.

"Oh c'mon, You know this place a lot more than I do, I'm sure what ever you pick will be great." he said in a playful tone.

Fluttershy tried to hide her blushing face in her menu and with a barley audible whisper gave him her suggestion. He gave the waitress they're order, while she had to yank the menu out of Fluttershy's hands. The wait for the food was filled with awkward silence until their lunch finally arrived. When Moon Light finally took a bite, Fluttershy was close too falling out of her chair in anticipation.

"Mmm, this is really good," He said with a mouthful of food

The relief and happiness filled Fluttershy's face. The rest of the meal went incredibly well. They ended up talking for over a hour, mostly about Fluttershy. normally she would feel too embarrassed to talk about herself but Moon Light was insistent and wanted to know all about her. she told him stories that ranged from when she got her cutie mark, to when the cutie mark crusaders had a sleepover at her house.

"Wait, so you actually stared down a Cockatrice?" Moon Light asked in a excited voice, he was on the edge of his seat for every story she told.

"Well, I didn't really have a choice," she said in a bashful tone, "If I didn't the girls would have been turned to stone."

"It's official, you are the most amazing pony I've ever met." he said in amazement

Fluttershy couldn't keep her happiness inside and let out a little giggle. She had never talked for so long before, it was all so easy with him.

"Well, I've told you all about myself," Fluttershy was finally able to ask, "why don't you tell me about you."

Moon's face suddenly had a grim look on his face. Fluttershy sensed that his past might be a little more private and tried to change the subject.

" No, It's okay," He said in a apologetic tone, " you told me a lot from your past, it's only fair that you know a little about me. Well i was born i-"

He was suddenly interrupted by a loud gasp, as both of them looked to the source. Pinkie Pie was standing in the door way, trying to say Moon Light but was stuck on the M. She eventually was able to scream something that sounded like Moon Light and rushed to their table.

"Oh my gosh, you're Moon Light!" Pinkie screamed, "I am like your biggest fan ever. Well maybe not your biggest, I'm not really that tall, But I own every one of your records, all three of them!"

"Um Pinkie," Fluttershy tried to interrupt. Pinkie didn't even notice her until she spoke up.

"Oh, hi Fluttershy," she said suprisingly calm, well as calm as you can get with Pinkie Pie, "what are you doing hear?"

"Friend of yours?" Moon asked, sounding exhausted from his one sided conversation with Pinkie Pie

"Um , yes," Fluttershy answered, " Um, Moon Light, this is my good friend Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie, this is my uh...."

She looked at Moon Light and saw that him blush. Fluttershy didn't know what to call him. It was obvious to both of them that it had gone beyond just being a tour guide, considering they haven't moved from sugar Cube Corner in over two hours. But Fluttershy was too embarrassed to actually say it.

"Wait a minute," Pinkie said while taking a good look at both of them' "You two aren't on a date are you?"

Fluttershy whole face became bright red in less then a second. But before could even say one word, Moon Light grabbed her by the hoof and ran for the door. As they ran out into the street Fluttershy took a look back to see Pinkie casually waving them good bye with a grin on her face. That little show was all she needed for her answer. As they ran farther and farther away from Sugar Cube Corner, and even though she had no idea where they were going, she couldn't help but fell happy.
