The first to go was Loyalty.

Being the foolish featherbrain she was, the brute had leapt at her with fury in her eyes. One swing of the head, a swipe of her horn and she fell in a heap. Soon the naked black hooves of the Night Goddess were stained red and one prod rolled Rainbow Dash's body over, revealing the deep wound along her chest and throat. Quick yet fatal, a beloved technique of Nightmare Moon's.

Then came Honesty.

Driven by grief and fury, the farmer had gone for a full charge. Turquoise magic lit up the room as she lifted the pathetic peasant into the air. Calm turquoise eyes stared into bright emerald ones, filled with hate and bloodlust. Her hooves flailed and her teeth gnashed as Applejack tried to escape the restraints around her throat. The little ring of magic around her neck tightened, marking her skin and she was lifted sharply, the room filling with the sharp tune of breaking bones. Screaming answered her, but she just smiled calmly and looked down at the shocked, crying fools below her.

Then came Laughter.

Her mane was a curtain of deep pink and those once gentle blue eyes were filled with fury that Nightmare Moon had only seen within herself. Nevertheless, she watched with bored interest as Pinkie Pie neared. When she decided that she was close enough she raised a foreleg and lashed out, slapping the mare roughly across the face before grabbing hold of her in her magic, tightening around her ribs and feeling great satisfaction as they cracked and broke. The baker's screams filled her ears like birdsong before the shattered bones pierced her heart and her lungs and the body went still. She threw it on the floor like trash, splattering blood on herself. How undignified.

Generosity soon followed.

The unicorn leapt into the air, blinded by her negative emotions. She looked like a beast from the forest, not like the lady she'd seen soothe the great Sea Serpent back when the bringer of Night was supposedly destroyed. All it took was one forward motion of the head, a simple jousting thrust and there was a sickening tearing sound as Nightmare Moon's horn ripped through Rarity's stomach and came out her back, impaling her like a prawn on a stick. She pulled the corpse off and discarded it before turning to the cowering mare.

Kindness was the last to die.

The traumatized mare just sobbed, tears running down her face as she told herself it was just a nightmare. It was a nightmare, a living hell that ended as the great black horn tore neatly through her throat, completely severing her head. Her expression of horror forever engraved on her skull, the last Element fell with but a sob and a sigh. The last tears leaked onto the exposed muscle tissue and then all was still amongst the bodies.

"Pathetic." The Goddess spat, lifting a hoof and kicking Fluttershy's decapitated body aside. Ebony coat stained with blood, the naked Alicorn strode out of the library and into her beloved night. "I'm coming Celestia." She whispered as her great black wings unfurled, expanding to their full span as she stared at the moon. Celestia and Luna, her only oppositions to ruling this kingdom.

"Ready or not, here I come."
