RUBY'S POV

I certainly enjoyed my 'almost week' in Ponyville. I stretched and yawned. Fluttershy's couch was quite comfortable. Today was a special day. Today was a Sunday, a sunny day, and the day I hang out with an actual guy. He's probably the first guy I've met besides Spike. I also planned on meeting Moon Shine and Hydro. I was getting kind of tired of being around mares all day long. I got up and purred. I wondered when I would leave to see Musical Note. I looked at my trophy, picked up a note I hadn't noticed before, read it, and smiled in happiness. Ponyville ain't so bad. Even if i'm making all these friends that i'll have to leave soon. I couldn't stay here forever. There was a war going on and I wasn't about to leave my kin or the tasty humans to die. Even if those humans are food that's going to waste since we're not eating them.

"Your up early." I whipped around to see Fluttershy. "I made you some breakfast. Its real meat. I got a griffon to cook for you."

"What? Why? Whats a griffon?"

"Their half lion, half eagle. They are carnivores too. Their the only civilized carnivores known to pony kind."

"But, what about dragons? Don't they eat meat?"

"Dragons try to stay clear of ponies. They don't like them very much and they live naturally, not civilized, like us. Plus, dragons eat gems, not meat."

"Yipes! You sure know alot Flutters." Fluttershy blushed.

"O- oh, its nothing." We headed to the kitchen and I enjoyed my bacon, ham, and eggs very much. Boy, that griffon could cook! I stared at him and finally spoke up.

"So, whats your name?"

"I'm Kai."

"Where you from?"

"Griffondor."

"Not a talker?"

"I- I am . . . I just came here to cook is all. I wasn't expecting a conversation. Shy is a quiet, well, SHY pony."

"Shy?" the male griffon blushed.

"Sh- she likes it when I call her that. . ."

"Alright. I see you guys go WAY back. I'll be on my way to my guy." I flew out the cottage and over Ponyville. Rainbow Dash was suddenly at my side and smirked.

"Where ya headed?"

"To meet my acquaintance, Musical Note."

"The guy who won second place yesterday? Pfffft!!!!!!!!!"

"Whats so funny?"

"Oh, nothin' its just that your acting like this is your first date!"

"Its NOT a date! Even if is WAS, it would be my first date."

"WHAT!!!!!????" Rainbow Dash stopped completely and stared at me in shock.

"What?"

"Your coltfriend's never taken you on a date!?"

"What's a coltfriend? You mean boyfriend? I've never had one before."

"No coltfriend!!!?? So, that means . . . your either a tail lifter or a . . . "

"A what?"

"Gosh . . . this is crazy shit."

"WHAT!!!!???" the cyan pegasus zoomed away without another word. I went to the location, and turns out it WAS a date! We got to know each other very well. Musical Note was such a gentleman. I just had a feeling Rarity would take our friendship the wrong way. He was so much fun to be around though! So, I ended up going on dates with him all week. The time seemed to fly so fast. It was like when I was with Musical Note, I was lost in time and space. Talking, playing, hanging out with Vinyl, Lyra, and Braeburn. Partying and having picnics. Soon, it was Friday and Musical note had wanted to take me on a lunch date.

I continued to fly to the place Musical Note had written on the piece of paper. When I got there, I nearly fell out the sky. There were pinks, blues, reds, purples, whites, and yellows scattered over green. The meadow was so beautiful, so mesmerizing.i saw Musical Note smiling at me from bellow and wave. My heart responded with a 'thump thump'. I landed right next to him.

"Hello beautiful." he greeted.

"Hi" was all I could say. I put my head down, making my velvet hair go in my face. It was a fitting mane style. Good for when you expect to be blushing alot.

"I see that you like the area." Musical Note smiled. I nodded. He led me to a table with spaghetti and hay balls piled high on two plates. I didn't care much for any food other than sweets and meat but I wanted to eat it just to please him. Also, I couldn't let it slip that I was a carnivore. We ate with light conversation about all kinds of topics. I saw something on Musical Note's muzzle.

"There's something on your muzzle" I said.

"Really? Where?" he felt around the ONE spot of sauce on his face.

"There."

"Here?"

"No, there"

"Here?"

"No." I used my hoof to wipe it away. "Here." Musical Note looked me in the eyes and he froze. I did the same. We stared at each other, the only sound heard was slight hoof steps and breathing. We leaned in closer and closer still. I closed my eyes and felt soft, cool lips brush against mine. I felt his hooves run along my back and his tongue explore my mouth. I tugged at his lip and he moaned softly. A hoof reached my flank and another fiddled with my tail. I didn't care. I was in bliss. Then a hoof reached a VERY innapropriate place between my hind legs. I squirmed a bit.

"M- Musical . . ." I mumbled.

"Call me Muse." Musical note said.

"Muse, I think we're going to fast."

"You mean like this?" Muse started to nibble my left ear quickly. I moaned.

"Muse . . . no . . ." I panted. Muse stopped and looked me in the eyes. A soft smile upon his face.

"I understand."

"Ruby? Musical Note?" a voice called. We pulled away, got up, and trotted to the direction of the voice. It was Twilight and the rest of the girls. I waved and Muse smiled. Rarity did not look happy.

"How was your SIXTH date Ruby, darling?" the fashionista asked.

"Great! Wasn't it, Muse?"

"Yea, totally, Ru." I giggled at my nickname.

"I'm glad YOU figured out a nickname for Ruby because I tried super duper hard but I couldn't think of one!" Pinkie said.

"Um . . . Pinkie I really would like you to call me Ruby."

"Okie dokie lokie!" the party mare winked. I lifted a hoof up and booped Pinkie in the nose. Pinkie Pie giggled.

"Ruby, we're leaving for Canterlot now. We need you to come with us." Twilight stated.

"I can visit Vinyl today then, if you don't mind." Muse suggested.

"Vinyl's doing buisiness in South Arabia today. She took the train there yesterday." I said.

"Oh. Well, can I come with you guys? I got a job over there. I don't want to be a burden though."

I nodded to him.

"You can come silly."Twilight teleported us to a train station and we got tickets. The train came fast and we got on. Conversation on the train was the only thing keeping me from being bored to death. Fluttershy was talking about her 'friend' griffon, Twilight was reading a book and ocationally saying something about 'spreading the friendship' to other species. I yawned and snuggled into Muse. It was a long ride so I took a little nap. It felt like a few minutes. The train suddenly stopped. We were there. He chuckled when I grumbled about train rides being too short when it comes to naps. We walked to a castle and were greeted by armored guards. After wandering around a huge building for twenty minutes, we finally entered a room with Luna and that Princess Celestia alicorn I saw last week Sunday, sitting on thrones. Celestia smiled. Everyone bowed. I wasn't going to bow to anyone! I wasn't even from  that world! Twilight realized I wasn't bowing and mouthed 'bow' to me. I shook my head and held it up proudly. Muse nudged me. I gave an irritated growl and lowered my neck a bit so I was sort of half bowing.

"Rise, my little ponies." Celestia said. Everyone rose. Muse gave me a concerned look. I waved my hoof dismissively.

"You wanted to speak with us Princess?" Twilight said.

"Ah, yes. I believe Luna has seen something that might endanger Equestria itself."

"What!?" everyone except me gasped. I rolled my eyes.

"THAT'S why we're here? Your a Princess, ruler of this land, cant you handle that yourself?" I was feeling extremely angry.

"The Elements of Harmony are to be informed of such things. It is their job and duty to their country." Celestia pointed out.

"Elements of Harmony? Wait, I heard Rainbow Dash say something about those when the girls were stalking me." this comment received gasps and blushes.

"We weren't stalking you!" Dash exclaimed. Then, she pointed to Pinkie. "Maybe SHE was, but not US!"

"The Elements of Harmony are legendary objects that create peace an' whatnot all over. We're the bearers! Ahm honesty." Applejack explained.

"I'm kindness" whispered Fluttershy.

"I'm loyalty" Dash boasted.

"I'm generosity!" Rarity fanned herself with a hoof.

"I'm laughter! 'Cause I, tehee, laugh, haha, alot!" Pinkie Pie laughed.

"I'm magic." Twilight informed. I simply blinked and nodded.

"Mind blown." I said sarcastically. Muse covered his mouth to stop the giggles from escaping his mouth. Celestia turned to him.

"Your brother, Moon Shine, tells me that you haven't been present for any rehearsals." she said. Muse nodded.

"I've been occupied with my . . . " I looked at him, smiling. "Marefriend." There were gasps.

"Of all possible things, this is THE WORST POSSIBLE thing!!!!!!!!" Rarity fainted onto the floor. Pinkie Pie bounced with joy.

"I'm soo happy for you! I can throw a congrats- on- your- new- relationship- party!" the party mare shivered with excitement. I shrugged. Twilight eyed me.

"You must tell me how your friendship bloomed into romance. I could explore this field as well."

"Oh, Twi, ya feel it when yer really close to somepony an' when yer lucky, their really close to ya'll." Applejack chuckled.

"If you say so . . . I guess." I clapped my hooves to get everyone's attention.

"WHY are we here?" Luna gave me a sad, pitying look.

"I was in your dream when you dreamed about your mother's death. That creature that killed her and that young one . . ."

"Your mother was murdered!?" Muse asked.

"Was that dream true?" Rainbow Dash shivered. I nodded.

"Mom and little Marcy . . . it was all my fault." I glared at Luna. "Why were you in my dream you creep! Then, you tell everyone!"

"EveryPONY" Pinkie corrected.

"WHATEVER!!!!!!" I screamed. "Cant keep secrets now!? Well, guess what everyPONY?"

TWILIGHT'S POV

Ruby transformed again, right there in front of the princesses. Her body turned an angry white while her mane and tail turned into flames. I suddenly knew what it was. Magic rage! Since she wasn't a unicorn, I couldn't figure out what it was but I recognize it now. Ruby's was different, though. Her flames turned blue with raw magical energy and surrounded her body. Then, she screamed, "He's got me! He's got me! He's controlling my abilities!" Luna and Princess Celestia quickly went to her side and tried to grab her.

"Somethin' is happenin' Twi!" Applejack pointed to Ruby's glowing form.

"I know! Ruby!"

"I'll save you, Ruby!" Rainbow Dash collided with Ruby right before she winked out and disappeared.

"Rainbow Dash! Noooooooo!" Pinkie's hair deflated and she took to sobbing on the shiny, white floor.

"Where could they have gone?" Celestia asked herself aloud.

"The better question . . ." Luna added. "Is WHO exactly is 'He'?"
