I couldn't believe my eyes. The portal was right there. It was glowing all sorts of colors, all bright and promising. Knowing my luck, it was probably best to use it while the chance was there. Musical Note paled at the sight of it. I knew he was worried that I might decide to not come back or I might never have the chance to. I wasn't going to lie, I kinda was thinking the same thing. Celestia placed a hoof on my shoulder and smiled sadly.

"I know that look. You are planning to leave very soon."

"No shit -ah I mean- no kidding Princess."

"Wait, y-you're leaving now? As in, right now?" Muse asked.

"Yea. My kind don't leave opportunities like this open to sit." I turned to him."There's a war going on. I need to get back ASAP and help out. For all I know, my older brother is dead. Call my siblings. We leave now."

"We can talk about this!"

"No, we can't. You stay here and wait for me. I know that's hard but-"

"I love you! I-I can't stay put on my flank all day while you go to a different planet . . . that's in war for Celestia's sake!"

"Muse, I'm going!"

Toby, Katy and I stood in front of the portal. Toby looked so surprised and Katy looked so hopeful. My chest swelled with happiness and sadness. I was going home. I was going to help out. I remembered the first day I got to Ponyville. I wanted to go home so bad. Now, I was going. I felt bad, though. I was leaving friends here just like I left friends on earth. I was also leaving my love. I sniffed. I was sounding mushy and crap.

"So, this is really it?" Katy asked.

"Yea." I answered.

"Wow." Toby mumbled. My two younger siblings both circled the portal and smiled happily. "This is great. We're going home."

"I know right? I won't miss being a pony." Katy turned to Celestia. "No offense . . . but being a carnivore in a body that is normally a herbivore is depressing."

"Yea. Do you ponies even know what steak is? We eat ponies twice your size for family reunions."

"Katy. Toby. Behave!"

"Sorry but it's true. Are we going home now?" Toby sighed. I nodded. Muse gave me a tortured look.

"I'm gonna come back. Don't worry."

"What!?" Katy poked Musical Note. "You're coming back for him?"

"Yes."

"But you'll be a pony, sis!" Toby whined. My two siblings glared at Muse. I grabbed them.

"I have friends here. My man is here. I'm coming back. You guys have Victor."

"But you have friends on Earth too!" We jumped through the portal. It felt kinda strange. It felt like out muscles were stretching and bending while our bones were cracking and rearranging themselves.

Everything went black.

*Cough cough*

"Are you guys alright?" I opened my eyes. Everything was blurry. I blinked. "That was pretty rough. Why is it so dusty?" Three figures came into focus. Toby and Kate stood up and shook themselves off. They looked as human and as happy as ever.

"Yea, we're fine."

"But, there's a stranger here too."

"Stranger?" It was a tall, male Alitis Cat Daemon. He had dazzling blue hair and familiar eyes. He smiled hesitantly at me. He beat his blue wings softly and his tail twitched.

"H-hey, babe."

"Musical Note!?"

"Um . . . did I go too far with this one?"

"Yes. Yes you did."
