Chapter One: Good day Sunshine

The sun shone brightly in the equestrian sky as a certain blue Pegasus with a rainbow colored mane groaned as she tried to block out the bright yellow rays that managed to shine through her cloud home. Realizing that she had work to do today,Rainbow Dash slowly but surely got out of her bed,stretched her blue wings and made her way into the kitchen for some breakfast.

Rummaging through her cabinets, Rainbow didn't see anything she wanted to eat so,she decided to fly down to ponyville and head to sugarcube corner and see what kind of treats her friend Pinkie Pie had baked today. Flying straight out of her cloud home, Rainbow Dash flew as fast as she could to the ground below where she saw her friend Fluttershy tending to one of her animals.

"Morning Flutters!" Rainbow shouted as she flew by

"Oh...good morning Rainbow Dash." Fluttershy said quietly

Although she barely heard her friend return her morning greeting,Rainbow Dash finally landed in the center of ponyville's town square where she heard her stomach rumbling loudly. Not wanting to waste anymore time,she walked towards sugar cube corner and heard the sound of Pinkie Pie singing a cheerful tune

"Good day sunshine." Good day sunshine..."I need to laugh,and when the sun is out" I've got something I can laugh about...Not wanting to interrupt her cheerful friend,Rainbow Dash's hunger was growing louder as she walked through the front door of the shop where Pinkie Pie saw her and soon had a big grin upon her face

"Good morning Dashie!!!!!" Pinkie Pie said with a wide grin

"Morning Pinks." Rainbow said smiling back

"What can I do for you this sun sun sunny day,Dashie?" Pinkie asked still grinning widely

"Well Pinkie, I'm kinda hungry so I wanted to know what kinds of goods you have here today." said Rainbow

"Say no more Dashie." Pinkie said as she held up a pink hoof "I've got just the thing."

Watching as her friend disappeared into a pink blur,Rainbow barely had time to blink as Pinkie pie appeared seconds later holding a small pie in her hoof. Looking at the treat that was in her friend's hoof,Rainbow cocked her head slightly in confusion as Pinkie explained just exactly what the treat was.

"Here ya go Dashie,one marshmallow pie from me,Pinkie Pie." Pinkie said with a giggle

"A marshmallow pie?" said Rainbow " Um...Pinkie,I'm not sure that is exactly breakfast."

"Oh don't be silly Dashie,of course it is." said Pinkie "I eat them all the time."

"If you say so." Rainbow said as she took the treat "Thanks Pinks!"

"You're welcome Dash!" Pinkie yelled out cheerfully

Holding the treat in one hoof as she walked on the other three,Rainbow was on her way to find a place to sit down and eat her "breakfast" when she saw another of her friends. This time it was Applejack who just happened to be wheeling her apple cart into town. Watching her friend from a distance,Rainbow decided to go over and see if she could lend the honest farm pony a hoof with the heavy looking cart.

"Hey Aj ! Need a hoof?" Rainbow shouted as she approached the farm pony

"Hey there Rainbow." Applejack said with a wave "That'd sure be mighty nice,but don't ya got work of your own ta do?"

"Oh the sky?" Rainbow said as she looked up for a minute "I think that the other pegasi can handle things for a bit,while I help out a friend. And besides,I still didn't eat my breakfast yet."

"That ain't breakfast." Applejack said as she pointed to the pie "Last time I checked,that there was a dessert."

"Well,according to Pinkie Pie..." Rainbow said as she trailed off "Never mind. So need some help or what?"

"Sure Dash." Said Applejack "And while you're at it ,help yerself to a real breakfast, an save that there for later."

Putting down the pie and saluting Applejack with a hoof,Rainbow Dash went behind the apple cart while Applejack just smiled and shook her head. After spending most of the morning helping Applejack sell apples to the citizens of ponyville,Rainbow Dash knew that she had her own work as a weather pony to do. So before taking off to the skies,she offered to help Applejack once more by walking her home. Smiling at the kindness of her friend, Applejack knew that it would be rude of her to decline her friend's offer.

With a simple nod of her head,Applejack and Rainbow Dash both wheeled the empty cart all the way back to Sweet Apple Acres,where the two friends prepared to part ways. Expecting no more than a simple hoof shake,Rainbow was caught by surprise when Applejack wrapped a foreleg around her and pulled her into a friendly hug.

Feeling the heat rise to her cheeks as she was in Applejack's embrace,Rainbow quickly pulled away and zoomed off into the sky leaving an also blushing Applejack standing underneath the Sweet Apple Acres sign smiling and shaking her head.

Chapter Two: I've Just seen a face

It was a busy morning in Princess Twilight Sparkle's castle as she and her number one dragon assistant Spike were busy reorganizing the huge castle library for what poor Spike counted as the millionth time. Groaning as Twilight couldn't make up her mind as to where she wanted which book and its final resting place on what shelf,Spike prayed to Princess Celestia for a distraction of any kind to happen in the next few seconds.

And much to his and Twilight's surprise, in came Rarity ponyville's beloved fashionista and the mare of Spike's dreams,who he has been swooning over since he and Twilight first arrived in town. Not paying much attention to the conversation that was happening between the two mares,Spike soon found himself in his own little fandoor

world flashing back to the day he first laid eyes on the fair lady Rarity.

"I've just seen a face I can't forget the time or place where we just met.

" She's just the girl for me,and I want all the world to see we've met.

"LA LA la ... da da da

" Falling, yes I am falling

"And she keeps calling,me back again

Humming happily to himself as Twilight and Rarity looked on and couldn't help but giggle,Spike who finally snapped back to reality had a slight pink blush on his purple cheeks dying of embarrassment on the inside.

" I must say Spike,I had no idea you were so musical. "said Rarity

"Same here Spike." said Twilight "You must be a busy little dragon when you're not helping me around the castle."

"Um...well..." Spike said uneasily "I d-do do more than just take long baths,naps and read comics Twilight."

Before Twilight had the chance to say anything to Spike,Rarity cleared her throat to remind them that she was still there to ask the alicorn princess if she could borrow Spike for the afternoon to help her around the carousel boutique.

"So,Twilight dear can I please borrow him? Just for a little while?" Rarity asked as she batted her eyelashes

"I don't see why not." Twilight sighed "I could always finish organizing these books by myself."

"Splendid." Rarity said happily "Now, come along Spike dear there is much work to be done at the boutique."

"I'll be right there Rarity." Spike called out ",Are you sure you can handle things here without me Twi?"

"I'm sure Spike." Twilight said with a smile "Now run along romeo."

"Thanks Twi! I'll see you later!" Spike said as he rushed out the door

"Whoa falling,yes I am falling

" And she keeps calling me back again...

Chapter Three:Birthday

Twilight Sparkle was sitting in the library, of her crystal tree castle one late night studying more about Starswirled the bearded when heard a faint but familiar giggle echoing throughout the castle halls. Assuming that it was a certain baby dragon who should have been in bed hours ago,Twilight got up from the pillow she had perched herself upon and began to exit the library to go and see if Spike was still sleeping.

As she walked through the hallway with each hoof step echoing, Twilight noticed one of the doors opened a small crack,which to her seemed a bit odd. Shrugging it off as she closed it with her magic,Twilight proceeded to Spike's room and quietly opened the door. Peeking inside of the room,she saw a familiar small lump underneath the covers. Signing contentedly, Twilight shut the door and began walking back to the library. Passing by that same door from earlier which was once again open,Twilight saw a pink blur zoom by as the door closed with a loud slam.

With her curiosity getting the best of her,Twilight began walking slowly down the hall until she neared the door which she put a purple ear against. Hearing the sounds of voices coming from inside,Twilight slowly opened the door with her magic,letting out a yelp as she was suddenly pulled into the room that was completely dark.

"It's about time you got here, you silly filly." came a cheerful familiar voice

"Pinkie,I really don't have time for this..." Twilight groaned

"Don't be silly Twilight, everypony has time for a party,no matter what time of day." said Pinkie pie

"But its the middle of the night,and everyone in ponyville is asleep." said Twilight sighing

"Not everypony..." Pinkie said as she turned on the light

The second the lights turned on,Twilight saw almost every citizen of ponyville along with her other four friends and they were all wearing party hats on their head. Wondering what all of the townsponies were doing in her house,Twilight pulled Pinkie to the side and asked why all those ponies were in her house.

"Happy Birthday Twilight!" everypony shouted loudly

"Uh...Pinkie...there's something I need to tell you." Twilight began to say

"Say no more twilight." Pinkie said as she put a party hat on the alicorn princess's head "I know exactly what you're going to say."

"You do?" Twilight asked with confusion

"Uh huh" Pinkie said with a wide smile

'You say its your birthday,Its my birthday too yeah.

'You say its your birthday,we're gonna have a good time

'I'm glad its your birthday, happy birthday to you

Just as Pinkie pie started singing the DJ pony Vinyl Scratch cranked up the volume on her turntables blocking out the sound of Twilight's voice as she tried to tell the pink party pony that her birthday wasn't for another few weeks

"Uh Pinkie? " Twilight shouted "Pinkie!!!!!!!"

"But not just any party,we're gonna have a superawesome pinkie pie party just for you Twilight ! " Pinkie said as she dragged twilight to the middle of the dance floor

'(birthday) 'Come on Twilight and dance

'birthday)'Come on Twilight let's Dance!!!!!

With everypony all gathered on the dance floor dancing and having a good time,Twilight knew that she had to put an end to this craziness without hurting pinkie pie's feelings. Taking a deep breath,Twilight finally shouted at the top of her lungs for everyone to stop.

"Enough!!!!!" Twilight shouted as everypony froze in their tracks

"Hey Twilight what gives?" Rainbow dash asked as she crossed her forelegs

"Is everything okay sugarcube?" asked Applejack

"No,everything is not okay." Twilight sighed

"Twilight dear,whatever is the matter?" Rarity asked with concern

"Don't tell me you don't like the party." Pinkie said as her mane and tail deflated

"The party is fine,its just that today isn't my birthday."Twilight sighed

" Its not?"said Pinkie

"No. not for another few weeks." said Twilight

"Well,if its not your birthday then whose is it?" asked Rarity

"Not mine." said Rainbow Dash

"Ain't mine neither." said Applejack

"Ummm...its...mine..." Fluttershy said quietly

"What did you say Fluttershy dear?" asked Rarity as she looked over at her shy friend

"I said that it was my birthday today." said Fluttershy

The second she had heard what Fluttershy had said Pinkie pie's mane and tail made a loud puffing sound as she leaped into the air and shouted for all of Equestria to hear

"Let's Party!!!!!!!!!"
