MLP: FiM Season 7 Thoughts!
Chapter 16: Episode 14: Fame and Misfortune
Previous Chapter Next ChapterHey everypony!
The return of season 7 has finally come and boy was it a great one!
Now I didn't offer my afterthoughts for the first half of the season, but I thought I might as well do it for the second half!
And because I got a lot of things wrong about "Fame and Misfortune"!
Now, "Fame and Misfortune" was a very great episode in my opinion and made a strong return for season 7. However while it was great and all, I turned out to be very wrong when I wrote my thoughts on what the episode will be about.
It actually turns out that everypony else argues with each other, not the Mane 6, instead they are the victims of all the arguments that are erupting all over Equestria. And I was very surprised by this, I really did expect the Mane 6 to be arguing with each other and part of me wishes that that did happen.
I also was very surprised at the big role that Starlight played in this episode, because she wasn't present when the Mane 6 were writing the journal and had nothing to do with it whatsoever. And I did love how Starlight solved the problem in the end, really shows how far she has come. And as everypony should know, Starlight is my number #1 reformed villain and is on my list of top favorite ponies, so having her play a big role is great!
And when Apple Bloom mentioned that the CMCs were going to start a cutie mark camp, well we know that the episode, "Marks and Recreation", is going to be about that, so it's quite interesting and very unexpected to see how the friendship journal inspired the CMCs to set up the camp.
Also, when I mentioned that the scene where Twilight pulls the curtains over the window, is actually part of this episode as well, not "Once Upon a Zeppelin".
I also did enjoy the song that was sung by the Mane 6, but "You're in my Head like a Catchy Song" is probably still the number #1 song for this season, but this song was still very good. It's probably a tie with "Best Friends Until the End of Time", mostly because the two songs are kinda of similar. And the song did have some shipping vibes going on as well…
Lastly, I would actually like to talk about the promo that also came out for the next episode, "Triple Threat", when Spike accidentally invites Ember and Thorax to Ponyville on the same day. It looks like my hunch about the dragons and changelings being once enemies and Ember and Thorax continuing that tradition is true as Thorax is seen changing into a bear (Which I had a "What the b***!" moment) and charging at Ember, while she does the same while Spike watches helplessly.
Well I think that's it!
What do you ponies think of this episode?
