Fluttershy was trotting through Sweet Apple Acres, looking for something to do on her spare time. The sun was shining and the birds were singing, it was a perfect day to take a stroll around nature.

Rainbow Dash spotted Fluttershy walking on the distance and decided she might as well join her to relax for a bit after a stressful day of work on the Weather Management, increasing her speed she quickly reached Fluttershy's position and landed beside her. Now trotting alongside her, she noticed the area was getting awfully quiet, too much for a place usually filled with the sounds of various animals. The brave pony and Fluttershy decided to find out why.

Their scouting led them to the Everfree Forest, on it's entrance they were met with a loud yelp, the two of them galloped towards it's origin, going deeper and deeper inside the forest until they found Pinkie Pie clashing against an unknown creature.

Forming a party or three, Pinkie Pie and the others now felt confident they could beat the strange creature before them. It introduced itself as Midgar Zolom, the name felt familiar to Fluttershy, but there was no time to wonder about it, they needed to beat the monster before he caused any more damage to Pinkie Pie.

Fluttershy cast Thundaga on the Midgar Zolom, but the creature barely felt it, Pinkie Pie then readied her Party Cannon and shot it, but once again it shrugged off the attack like it was nothing. Dash took off into the sky without warning and disapeared, the other party members cursed her on their minds, thinking she did the cowardly act of leaving them behind for death, but they weren't about to let that happen, they kept on fighting.

The duo decided to perform a combo attack, merging Fluttershy's Storm class spell with pinkie's Water class spell, they formed a whirlpool that heavily damaged the monster, now in ire against the ponies. And so it attacked back with Beta, an extremely powerful Fire class spell that did an enourmous damage on the ponies and the forest now engulfed into flames.

Fluttershy stood up from the attack and drank a Mega Potion that was on her saddle, willing to continue fighting the monster and estinguish the forest's fire so she could save the little critters in danger. Pinkie Pie, also healed once again formed their whirlpool attack, but this time targeting the fire.

Completely worn out, injured and unable to cast any more spells the situation looked hopeless, but then Rainbow Dash came diving from the sky, at an amazing speed she performed her most powerful move: The Sonic Rainboom, hitting the weakned monster directly in it's head, it caused a huge and colorful explosion that could be seen from miles away, ending the threats on the Everfree Forest.

At Ponyville, they rested on the Sleeping Giant Inn, restoring to their full energies, and getting ready for more encounters, as they knew this was only the first of many.
