Flash paced around the waiting room of the Ponyville Hospital, his daughter by his side. "You think mommy is alright?" Dawn asked.

"Pft, please. Your mother has never met a problem she couldn't solve!" he said with a spark of hope in his voice.

"Whatever you say dad," Dawn rolled her eyes and sat down. Suddenly a stallion in a white, red and pink coat came into the waiting room.

"Mr. Flash Sentry?" he said.

"Thats me!" the stallion gestured for Flash to come in, but closed the door on the little filly.

"Flash, come meet your new daughter, Dusk Sparkle," Twilight said. Flash couldn't speak, his new daughter reminded him too much of another pony.

"Uhhh Twilight? Doesn't that color scheme look familiar?" he asked, pointing at the black and plundervine green streak in the foal's mane. "Why, I'd say she looks just like-"

"Twivine?" Zecora said as she entered the hospital room. "Very paculiar I might add, but she looks nothing like her dad." Suddenly the door swung open.

"Mommy? Daddy? Is my new brother or sister here?" Dawn asked as she walked in, her grandmother Twilight Velvet by her side. Twilight froze and mumbled.

"Mom, can you take Dawn back to the waiting room?" Velvet nodded and turned to the bright orange filly.

"Im sorry sweetheart, but you will have to wait a few more hours!"

"A FEW MORE HOURS?! I DON'T WANT TO WAIT A FEW MORE HOURS!" she screamed.

Flash rolled his eyes and said, "If you wait a little bit more, I will take you to Hayburger King ok? Good, now go back outside with you're grandma," Velvet lead a very angry Dawn back into the waiting room and she shut the door.

"Twilight, I bare news for your little bundle of joy. For if not raised right, it is an evil plot that will deploy," she said in a serious tone, "You have to raise her to be good and sane, or over Equestria, with an iron hoof she will rein."

Twilight blinked and looked down at Dusk.

"Come, let us see what lies. For it is your hope I will rise!" she escourted the ponies to her cottage and slammed the door.
