A stadium stands with a gigantic crowd of ponies. An Earth pony is seen to appear in a high place.

"Fillies and gentlecolts, welcome to the Equestrian Duel tournament, where all powerful forces of evil duel to the death! Wait, there is two participants that are not evil. Never mind, I am Spacious Speaker, and I'll say, err... stuff. Let's go over the rules and guidelines... Use of the Elements of Harmony in any form is prohibited. No summoning of lesser entities such as changelings. That's it! Enjoy spectating and dueling!" a male Earth pony said.

From one side, a dark pony walked, his face unidentified. When the identity of the stallion was revealed, it was known: the King of Shadows has returned from the Arctic to participate in the tournament. The stallion's horn glowed a mixed aura and picked up his spear. From another side, a rather lanky, bug-like mare walked entered. Her hair and tail was matted, and holes were all over the body. The Queen of Changelings's horn glowed green and picked up her bow and arrows.

Spacious Speaker starting talking on his microphone again."From the left, we have King Sombra, the King of Shadows and former ruler of the Crystal Empire!"

"Don't say I was the former ruler of those Crystal Pony scoundrels! I will always be the king of them!" King Sombra shouted at the Earth pony.

"Anyways, at the right, we have Queen Chrysalis, the Queen of Changelings!" Spacious Speaker continued. "And now we'll begin after the moment I stop speaking. HAHAHAHA! It's funny that I said that, right?"

King Sombra grabbed his spear and lunged at Queen Chrysalis. The Changeling Queen flew up and shot a fast, strong arrow at Sombra, who had no time to react. A black cloud formed over the wound and healed to the point that it looks like nothing had happened. The King of Shadows morphed into a shadow and quickly sliced his spear through Queen Chrysalis. She starts limping, so she flies the whole time. As King Sombra morphs back into a pony, he uses magic to throw his spear like a javelin to Queen Chrysalis. She zooms away from the projectile and shoots multiple arrows at one time. The arrows hit and the wound had become severe, so it wouldn't heal. The Queen of Changelings started feeling well again, but King Sombra was gonna change that by again morphing into a big shadow and use his spear to sever her.

The black cloud was a pony again, proud at his accomplishments. Queen Chrysalis tried to trot, but collapsed.

"Well, I guess that's the end of the duel. Spectate next time to see Ahuitzotl, Daring Do's nemesis, and Gilda the Griffin fight!" Spacious Speaker spoke on his microphone.

A day has passed. More and more ponies entered the stadium as an orange Earth pony sat near his microphone.

"Ugh, I have to go over the rules again," Spacious Speaker said. He went over the rules and after several minutes, he weakly added,"Happy spectating and dueling... SNORE!"

The audience laughed, but then stopped to watch the fight.

A dark grayish persian blue, dog-like creature walked from the entrance as the gate closed. Ahuizotl waved his hand on his monkey tail. On the other side, a white-headed moderate gamboge griffon with eagle forelegs and lion hind legs trekked from the right entrance. The friend of Rainbow Dash had a grin on her beak. It was known that both Ahuizotl and Gilda were gonna use their hands and claws to fight. Spacious Speaker finally woke up, and he said,"Time to fight!"

The combatants stood there on their four legs, frozen. Each was waiting who would strike first.

That irrumator [jerk] has the advantage. I must find a weakness out of her, Ahuizotl thought. Gilda was impatient, so she flapped her brown wings to fly. The griffon's opponent's existence was still on the ground.

"C'mon now, gryphe," the blue, quadrupedal creature taunted. He aimed his hand on his tail, but didn't physically show it. Gilda zoomed towards Ahuizotl, stopped before contact and flew up to troll him. She guffawed like her pony friend would after a funny event. The unamused dog-like creature sat on the terrain. Finally, Gilda bolted towards Ahuizotl, dodged the immediate hit of his tail, and headbutted his ribs while kicking his hind legs with her own. The nemesis of Daring Do fell to the ground with his injured ribs. He played dead, hoping the aerial individual would strike back. As Ahuizotl had predicted, Gilda spread her wings to soar towards him. He used his hand on his tail to smack the griffon's head. Ahuizotl was successful, as the winged creature moaned in pain and flew upwards. She wasn't flying very far off the ground and exposed a weakness to Ahuizotl. Ahuizotl got a running start and pounced on Gilda, immobilizing her.

"GET OFF ME, SON OF A BITCH!" the griffon roared. "Besides, that's a suitable name for you. You're a dog." She fully recovered, flew up many meters, and stuck her tongue out. Ahuizotl was hurt by the insult. He only focused on what Gilda said, which was not a wise decision. Gilda quickly headbutted the periwinkle opponent, delivering a fatal blow to him. The opponent was slain and slept an eternal nap on the ground.

"And the winner is Gilda, the greatest griffon there is!" the announcer pony said. He giggled, and Gilda blushed at the compliment. "Come next time to see the duel of Lord Tirek and Discord!"

"I have installed some thick but transparent barriers to keep us safe from Tirek. Oh.. It just hurts to think what he had done. I'm not explaining what our fighters' backrounds," Spacious Speaker spoke on the microphone. A moderate raspberry and black centaur approached the gate of the left while a peculiar draconequus stood in the other gate. The gate released the powerful beings as the audience stomped their hooves on the ground for several seconds.

"Now, Lord Tirek, no absorbing powers, okay?" the orange Earth pony told the centaur. The malicious creature from "a distant land" merely grunted, as he probably was gonna be disobedient.

"So, we meet again, Discord," Lord Tirek said, certain he was to win. Discord replied by saying,"Eh, I thought you were just a weirdo from Tartarus." The audience laughed behind the protective enclosure, barely making a sound to the duelers. Suddenly, it started raining, increasing the drama of the fight.

"Oh, hell," the red centaur said. The battle started, but it was hard to move. Lord Tirek's hooves sank into the wet ground, reaching more than a decimeter deep. He moved with a squish, squish, squish, squish. Discord floated in the air looking like Mary Poppins. The draconequus held his umbrella while Lord Tirek was taking the first move. The devilish centaur quickly galloped in the mud to punch Discord, but the spirit of disharmony made an illusion and made his body split apart like a bacteria splitting. The 2 Discords waved their hands, hopped on their foot, and punched Tirek simultaneously. The clones chuckled, sprung in the air, and poof! appeared as a single entity again. It seemed as Discord was gonna win, despite Lord Tirek being more powerful. The chaos spirit seemed to have a trick for every strategy the brother of Scorpan had. This lead to the crimson centaur agitated, having to defend himself and thinking of a way to outsmart Discord in any way. Discord kept trolling Tirek by cloning himself into more entities from one to two, two to four, and so on.

Lord Tirek had no choice, as he had to follow the rules. "I forfeit the duel and will return to Tartarus," he declared. The audience cheered as Spacious Speaker spoke on his microphone.

"Mr. Tirek, please enter through the gate leading to a portal to Tartarus. Discord, you have won. The next brawl will have Nightmare Moon's clone and Mane-iac, a nemesis of the Power Ponies! Come here and bring yours friends for the exciting event!" Spacious Speaker spoke.
