"Rarity!" Sweetie Bell shouted up the stairs of the boutique. A white pony with a purple mane stumbled down the stairs and tiredly looked up at her sister. Sweetie Bell gazed in horror at her sisters mane and brushed it with her hoof until it was lets just say 10% better. Rarity looked in the mirror, screamed and fake fainted. Rolling her eyes Sweetie Bell kicked her sister lightly in the chest. The white mare jumped up and scowled at her younger sister and proceeded to the kitchen.

"Why did you wake me up so early?" asked a bemused Rarity getting herself some cereal. Sweetie Bell opened the fridge and went to get out some bacon but was hit in the head by a hoof. Rarity had still not forgiven her sister for the breakfast fiasco when she was a filly.

"Well Sapphire Shores called and said she wanted a Greek themed dress for her next song!" Sweetie Bell said eating the burnt toast she had made. Rarity gagged at the smell of burnt and replaced it with a fresh round. Sweetie Bell scowled.

"When does it have to be made by and for how many?" Pleaded Rarity applying her fake eyelashes and make up.

"Friday!" Sweetie Bell said with mouth full of toast.

"FRIDAY!" Screamed Rarity probably waking up the rest of ponyville. Sweetie Bell nodded while trying to un-pop her ears. Rarity began hyperventilating as she paced up and down the room.

"Well pacing up and down is not going to get in done!" said Sweetie Bell. Rarity ran out of the room and began designing her new masterpiece.

It had been 3 hours since Rarity had left her sewing room and already Sweetie Bell was concerned. For eight long months Rarity had not been out of the boutique due to work and she had only spoke to her friends four weeks ago. Sweetie Bell marched into her sister's sewing room and saw to Rarity crouched in a corner crying. Sweetie Bell hugged her sister.

"What is really up?" asked Sweetie Bell. Rarity took a deep breath.

"Well as you know it has been forever since I last had talked with a stallion!" Rarity explained," Well I really want to meet the love of my life. Not that selfish brat form the gala. Don't ask! I want to settle down and have a foal. You know since Fluttershy and Discord are already engaged and the others are all dating some pony I just want to feel the same felling of love!" Rarity hugged her sister. Sweetie Bell smiled mischievously," NO LOVE POTION!" Rarity shouted. Sweetie Bell groaned.

"Well how about we go to Canterlot and visit one of those fancy dating centres! I am just old enough to get in and you are way over the age..!" Sweetie Bell started but didn't dare to finish from the look her sister was giving her.

"I guess we could but what about Sapphire Shores?" Rarity asked.

"Well tell her you need a break from being overrun with orders and that is the truth!" Sweetie Bell announced. Rarity reluctantly agreed to go to Canterlot and followed her sister on the next train.

The pair arrived in Canterlot and ran to the dating centre in hope of finding someone. Sweetie Bell had become quite a runner and was so fast Rarity had to use all her might to stay at least 3 metres behind her. She was running so fast she bumped into someone.

"Oh I say who dares to barge into me?" A very posh stallion demanded. Rarity couldn't get up. The crash had caused her ankle to twist or so she thought.

"I am so dreadfully sorry um.. May I ask your name?" asked Rarity shyly looking down at the path. The stallion looked down at her not with a face of disgust but with a face of wonder.

"Why I thought you would recognise me fair Rarity!" He said holding out his hoof. Rarity gazed up as she recognised him it was Fancy Pants. She excitedly got up but fell back down again.

"OW!" she cried grabbing the attention of passers by. She stumbled to get up but just couldn't.

"Are you ok Rarity?" Fancy Pants asked helping her up and putting his hoof over her to help her balance. Rarity shook her head and winced at her painful ankle.

"No my ankle seems to be twisted or something but it will be fine I will let you go about your business now goodbye!" She limped in the direction her sister went but was spun round by a familiar stallion.

"At least let me take you to the hospital!" Pleaded Fancy Pants. Blushing Rarity nodded gratefully.

The pair arrived at the hospital and it turned out that Rarity's ankle was infact broken and was put in a cast. Much to her disliking Rarity was instructed to stay in the hospital bed. Fancy Pants took the opportunity to know her better.

"I will let you in on a tiny secret!" Fancy Pants said lightly brushing Rarity's mane. The pair had been talking for hours and it was now night time. She nodded as he stepped closer to her until all each other cold see were each others glistening eyes.

"Well go on!" Rarity said playfully. He gulped and came so close Rarity cold practically feel his faint breaths.

"I came from Ponyville and my name was given to me in hope I would become a bigshot!" Fancy Pants revealed causing Rarity to gasp. He looked at her. She looked at him. They gazed at each other in amazement and both leaned in until they were joined with a kiss. Rarity couldn't stop but pulled back and blushed. Fancy Pants couldn't stop but pulled back and blushed they laughed awkwardly.

"I liked that," Rarity whispered in his ear.

"I did too!" he whispered back," May I hug you?" Fancy pants asked and Rarity nodded. Fancy Pants climbed into hospital bed and snuggled up together. A few minuets later they were both asleep. They only woke up when someone's sister came barging in.

"And what do you think you are... OH GOD I THINK I AM GONNA BARF!" Sweetie Bell said staring at the entwined pair. Fancy Pants and Rarity giggled. Fancy Pants explained what was going on and asked for some privacy. Sweetie Bell got the message and left the room. Rarity was confused. What was about to happen? Where was this going? Would this be a one night thing? So many questions were rushing through her mind that Rarity felt a little bit queasy.

"Are you okay my love?" Asked Fancy Pants kissing her on the forehead. She gasped secretly to herself. She was his love? His love? Fancy Pants' love? she watched him get down on one knee.

"I know this is extremely soon but will you marry me?" Fancy Pants asked.

"Yes!" a very happy Rarity replied. The pair snuggled up to one another and slept till morning.

" YOUR ENGAGED?" Sweetie Bell, Fluttershy, Twighlight, Rainbow Dash, Apple Jack, Pinkie Pie, Scootaloo, Applebloom and Discord shouted looking at Rarity's diamond encrusted engagement ring. After Rarity was discharged from the hospital her and Fancy Pants went the the ring shop and brought the ring currently on Rarity's horn.

"Yes and what is wrong with that?" Asked Rarity taking a sip from her milkshake she was sharing with Fancy Pants. All 11 of them were around a table at sugar cube corner. Rarity was going to surprise them with the engagement but things weren't going as planned.

" You have only just met him!" Rainbow Dash said gesturing Fancy Pants.

" He is the the love of my life!" Protested Rarity holding Fancy Pants' hoof.

" And she is the love of my life!" Fancy Pants objected hugging Rarity close to him.

" This all seems a bit far fetched!" Discord said eating his tea cup," and that is coming from me the King of chaos!"

" I agree with Discord sis!" Sweetie Bell said standing up to leave," I am leaving meet me when you are sane again!" Everyone followed Sweetie Bell out leaving Fancy Pants and Rarity alone.

" I can't believe they don't want this to happen!" Cried Rarity paying the waiter and getting ready to leave. Fancy Pants patted her on the shoulder.

" Let's go find a house for us two to live in!" Fancy Pants suggested.

"But the boutique has always been my home so what do I do with the extra room?" Asked Rarity.

" Turn it into changing rooms!" Fancy Pants added and Rarity nodded in agreement.

"So I was thinking a house with three floors!" Fancy Pants said.

" Two bedrooms?" Asked Rarity and Fancy Pants nodded.

" Balcony?" Asked Fancy Pants and Rarity nodded. The pair went to the house that matched their fancy, talked to the landlord and bought it.

" This is amazing!" Rarity said running her hoof along the pristine stove, counters and fridge. Fancy Pants ran up the stairs and observed the large master bedroom then he looked at the other bedroom. They both ran up to the third level to find plenty of attic space and a lovely balcony overseeing Ponyville. In the attic there was a small bathroom and a medium sized office. On the bottom floor there was a living room and kitchen. On the second there were two bedrooms and a small dining room and you know what is on the third.

" Perfection!" Fancy Pants said kissing Rarity on the forehead. The pair of them were on their balcony watching the other ponies going about their business.

" So about my friends they won't probably come to the wedding!" Rarity sighed.

" My family and friends are coming you can meet them and make some more friends with them!" Fancy Pants suggested.

" I would like that!" Rarity said.

" I was hoping Twilight would help us with the planning with her you know planning her brother's wedding!" Fancy Pants confessed but Rarity understood why.

" I was hoping Applejack would make the food!" Rarity said and Fancy Pants agreed.

" I tried some at the gala and it was to die for!" Fancy Pants replied.

" I could ask Mr and Mrs cake to cater for our wedding!" Rarity said.

" That would be useful!" Fancy Pants said.

" What is the date then?" Asked Rarity hoping it would be soon.

" How about a month for now?" Fancy pants suggested.

" I would like that!" Rarity confessed. The pair popped open some champagne and enjoyed each other's company for the rest of the evening.
