River Song looked at her reflection in the water and sighed. She was one of the most rare and feared creature in all of equestria. She was part dragon and part unicorn. Her eyes were completely black with deer antlers and a curved unicorn horn on her forehead. Black scales were present on her spine and was in the form of a lower case T. Her tail was like a cat's except that the tail tip had long fur at the end. River Song looked up at Ponyville. Would they really accept her or would they drive her out? She didn't know but if she stood in this rain any longer she would get a cold. River Song ran towards the the nearest building which looked like a large crystal tree-like castle. She opened the door and went inside. RiverSong shook the water out of her fur and looked around. There was a large table with seven chairs around it. She wondered who lived here. River Song walked over to a corner and curled up into a ball and closed her eyes. I'm sure they won't mind if I just sleep here for a little bit, she thought as she fell asleep.

Twilight sparkle awoke at the sound of the door open. Who could that be? Twilight walked down the stairs and gasped. A strange creature that was a cross between a pony and a dragon was sleeping in a corner next to the doorway. What is that? And what's it doing here? Curiously, she walked to the creature and looked at it more closely. It was wearing a necklace with an emerald on it. Twilight wondered if she should wake this creature but then thought it would be impolite. So, she took a blanket from her closet and laid it on the visitor. should she write to the princess about this? Does Celestia know what it is? She decided not to because she wanted to talk to this creature and know more about it. Twilight turned around and was about to go eat breakfast when the creature awoke. "Oh, hello," Twilight greeted as she turned around and smiled at the newcomer. The creature's black eyes were full of shock and regret. "I-I'm sorry Princess. I didn't mean to intrude," she said as she stood up and rushed to the door. "Wait! It's alright. You can stay if you like," Twilight said. The pony hybrid turned and looked at her in surprise. "You aren't gonna drive me out of your castle?" she asked. "Of course not! I'm the princess of friendship and it's my job is to spread friendship all across equestria." The hybrid relaxed a bit and said, "I'm River Song. What's your name?" "I am Twilight Sparkle. I'm also Princess Celestia's most faithful student." River Song flicked her tail uneasily at the mention of Princess Celestia. "i've heard about her and Luna. I really don't like her," she said quietly. "Why not? She's one of the greatest ponies in Equestria!" Twilight said in surprise. "I just feel like she should be more kind to us is all." "Where do you live?" Twilight asked. "In the mountains that reaches the sky. It's a nice place and all but it can get dangerous in the winter with the slippery and sharp rocks. It's not that rare for a death to occur," River said with a shudder. "You should report this to Celestia. Maybe she can solve this problem," Twilight said. River son shook her head. "We prefer not to." "Do you want to meet my friends?" the princess asked. "Are they nice?" River asked. Twilight nodded. "Don't worry. They won't hurt you." Twilight opened the door and guided River Song to Ponyville. "By the way," she said. "What are you?" "I'm a qilin. We're part pony and part dragon. Although we look fearsome, we only punish the wicked." "You don't look fearsome," Twilight commented. River Song flicked an ear. "As I get older I will. My relatives are as tall as Princess celestia and they're really fearsome looking with manes that always flow upwards. We qilins can become fierce if a pure pony or creature is threatened by a malicious one." Twilight looked at her in interest. "Do you know any magic spells?" River Song nodded and said, "Yes, we can breath fire and use ancient spells from since the beginning of Equestria and have other abilities as well." Twilight and River Song entered the village. "Is this where you live? It's lovely," River Song said. Twilight nodded. "Yep. Come on, let's go meet Pinkie Pie." The two walked into Sugar Cube Corner and greeted the cakes. "Hi, Mr. and Mrs. Cake. This is River Song and she's new here," Twilight introduced. "Why hello, there. Would you like to try our cinnamon cupcake?" Mrs. Cake asked. "No thank you. I can't eat sweets," River said. "Oh, well-" "SURPRISE!" a pink earth pony said as she fired her party cannon and scared River Song. "Pinkie Pie!" Twilight said. "You scared her." River stood up and shook the confetti off of her pelt. "Sorry about that!" Pinkie said. River snorted in amusement and said, "It's alright. You must be Pinkie Pie." "Yep! The number one party planner!" Pinkie said. River smiled sheepishly and said,"My name is River Song. I'm a qilin." "Oh cool! We should meet Fluttershy since Rarity isn't home." "I'd love to," River said.

River Song, Pinkie, and Twilight walked into the forest and looked for Fluttershy. "Woah! What in Equestria is that?" Rainbow Dash said as she flew down to meet River. "This is River Song. She's a qilin and she's new here," Pinkie said as she bounced around. "How can you do that?" Rainbow asked River. "Do what?" "That," Rainbow pointed with a hoof at River who didn't seem to be trampling a blade of grass. "Oh this? It's just a power all qilins can do. We are very gentle creatures yet we will attack if an innocent creature is harmed by a sinful one." " .Awesome!" Rainbow Dash squealed. River Song lifted her head and sniffed the air. She could sense something was very wrong. "Someone is in danger!" she said as she dashed through the forest. "Wait for us!" Pinkie said as the three ponies ran after her. The ponies stared in shock as a stallion threatened Fluttershy. "LEAVE HER ALONE!" River Song roared as she jumped in between the two ponies and bared her teeth. "Make me," the stallion challenged. River's horn glowed and she was covered in a light blue aura. She grew three times her and her eyes glowed. River Song gave a ferocious roar which sent the stallion running home. River returned to her normal state and collapsed on to the soft ground. "River!" Twilight said as she rushed to her side. "Are you okay Fluttershy?" Pinkie asked. Fluttershy nodded and looked at River Song. "Um, is she gonna be okay?" she asked. Twilight nodded and said, "Yeah, she's just unconscious." Pinkie Pie took a spray from behind a tree and squirted water on River's face. River woke up and shook her head. "Ugh, wh-what happened?" she asked. "You went unconscious!"Pinkie Pie said. River stood up and lifted her head. "Is something wrong?" Flutter shy asked. "I need to speak to Princess Celestia," River murmured and turned to her new friends. "Why?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Because, a foal with extraordinary power will be born." "That's wonderful!" Flutter shy said. "When will it be born?" "Soon," the qilin said as she walked away. "Wait! We'll take you there!" Twilight said. "Yeah, we can ride the train," Rainbow Dash suggested. "Okay. I've never been on a train before," River Song said. "Well today's your lucky day. Come on!" Pinkie said as she let the way to the train station.

Luna paced the around the hallway and sighed. If only she had a way to come in contact with Arceus. She would walk in his dreams but he was too far to reach. If only... "Luna," a voice said from behind her. Princess Luna turned to see a creature that looked like Arceus except it had a golden mane and a tail like a lion. "Who are you?" Luna asked as her horn glowed. "I mean you no harm young one. I only wish to help. I know a faster and easier way to speak with Arceus," the creature said. "Who are you?" Luna repeated. "I am Arseroseu the spirit of nature and harmony," the creature said. "Harmony? As in the elements of harmony?" Luna asked. Aruseroseu nodded. "Yes, I created the tree of harmony so that I wouldn't have to return to this world constantly to asist your mother, Fausticorn, in battling Discord. Now, allow me to show you a spell that you have not yet learned," she said. A yellow aura began glow around Aruseroseu and her eyes turned an amber color. She flicked her head and the two were transported to a valley. "How did you do that?" Princess Luna asked. Aruseroseu smiled and said, "You must focus on what your truth is and combined your powers to go into your host's mind. I must be leaving now. Harmony must be spread elsewhere. If you need any of my help, sound the Golden Ram's Horn." And with that, the celestial creature left. Luna walked around for a moment before spotting Arceus. She watched curiously as the alpha pokemon scolded a very little and grumpy Giratina. "It was an accident! It's not like I hurt her or anything," the dragon grumbled. "You could have!" Arceus snapped. Giratina rolled his eyes and asked, "Can I go back to Palkia and Dia? I-" "NO YOU MAY NOT!" Luna flinched away. Why was Arceus being so harsh to the poor child? Arceus heaved a sigh and said in the most call voice possible, "You will not visit them today. You will stay with Cresselia until you have learned to gain respect for your elders." Giratina glared at him and growled, "You're so unfair!" Arceus and Luna watched as the child pathetically flew away. Arceus flicked his tail and muttered something under his breath. Luna cautiously stepped forward and said, "Arceus, why did you yell at him? He's only a child." Arceus turned to face her and fluffed up his fur. "Because, Luna, he almost killed one of my creations."

"Still, you shouldn't have yelled at him. He's only a child. After all, you were a filly once remember?" Luna said. Arceus didn't respond and walked away.
