Chapter 1
-This is a Rainbow Factory spin off. Another MLP creepypasta will be mentioned later in the story, but it will be changed so that some of the characters will remain alive... Or maybe not... Well it's just about my MLP OC as a worker of the Rainbow Factory. Enjoy!-
*knock knock knock*
The sound of hooves at the door sounded loudly. A bright pink Pegasus with dark pink-magenta hair and sky blue diamond-like highlights in her mane opened the door of her house in Cloudsdale. Her bright purple eyes glistening with a friendly welcome.
"Hello. How may I hope you?" the pink Pegasus asked the other pegasi at the door. A bright blue Pegasus with a rainbow-colored mane stood at the door.
"Hello! Um, I'm holding interviews for Pegasi who want to come work at the Rainbow Factory," said the Pegasus at the door
"The Rainbow Factory?" the pink Pegasus eye's widened. The Rainbow Factory was recently built, and it was a mass producing rainbow creator that allowed rainbows to be made quickly. It also paid a high amount of money. It was a high demand job only offered to certain pegasi.
"Yup! We have a few positions available." said the blue Pegasus.
"I thought they were all taken!" the pink pony said.
The blue Pegasus shook her head. "We thought you had what is takes."
"Really? Me?"
"Yup. It's a little labor intensive though."
"Labor?"
"Making rainbows is harder then you think. But we heard you were good at hard arts and crafts. And we know you used to help the Apple Family in Ponyville. And besides, we just need a few more ponies to work with us anyways."
"Oh! Of course!" the pink Pegasus agreed. She only got her money from selling extremely detailed arts and crafts made from crystals.
"Alright! I'll just interview you right now!" the blue Pegasus said.
"Really? Now?"
"It's short and the Rainbow Factory is really busy right now."
"Oh, sure!"
"Alright. I'll just ask a few questions. I'm Rainbow Dash, by the way. Just call me Rainbow for short." Rainbow Dash said.
"Oh sure! I'm Crystalmoon. Crystal for short."
"Okay. So first question! What is your cutie mark and how did you get it?"
"It's a purple crescent moon with three blue crystals traveling through it. I fly to the Everfree forest at night one day as a filly, out of curiosity-"
"That's some courage."
"Yeah. Anyways, I found a clearing when I spotted a glinting object in the ground. It was a gem that looked like my cutie mark. Two of them actually, like the purple crescent and the three blue crystals. I had a talent for arts and crafts, so I used them to make some neat crafts like mini bird houses and stuff like that. I go to the Everfree forest and other places to find these gems. Mostly the Everfree forest. Lucky, this part of it seems monster-free, but I'm always quick. It's close to Ponyville, that clearing. About a 30 minutes flight."
"That's interesting! Next question, employment?"
"Well, I sell the crafts I make. It's a decent business. I plan to open my own shop one day, since I just go from town to town with a few crafts and sell them."
"Okay. How would you describe yourself?"
"Well, I like to be cheerful and my friends call me and optimistic pony. But I can be really stubborn sometimes, at least my friends say that. I've snapped before, but that was once."
"Okay. So have you ever had experience making rainbows before?"
"No, I haven't."
"What do you do in you free time and what's your hobby?"
"I like to read mystery and horror books, to be honest. I like to volunteer at the animal shelter sometimes."
"Cool! So, what are you thoughts on... gore?"
"Gore?" the pony was confused. "Well, I'm used to it. I mean, I watched a lot of horror movies, and I was never scared of it..."
"Okay! Last question! Are you interesting in making rainbows?" Rainbow Dash joked.
"Of course I am!" Crystalmoon said.
"Well, you're hired!
"Really?" it was a short interview, that didn't really say much about her. It was really strange for such a hard job to get.
"Yup! I'll meet you at the Rainbow Factory tomorrow morning at 8 in the morning! I'll provide you with a uniform there! You'll look 20% cooler in it!"
-Spin-off Rainbow Factory. Rainbow Dash is the CEO of it and Crystalmoon is my main OC. I just put her in the story because why not? Although her main story doesn't include the Rainbow Factory... or is it? O.o Anyways, first chapter.-
Chapter 2
-Crystalmoon's POV-
Crystalmoon flew as fast as she could to the Rainbow Factory which was on the other side of Cloudsdale. She took a quick breath before flying off again. 7:55 A.M. She saw the factory in distance. Strangely, it had no windows and looked as if it were cut off from society on purpose. Crystalmoon saw Rainbow Dash at the entrance. Crystalmoon flew to her.
"Ah! You came!" Rainbow Dash greeted.
"Of course I did!" Crystalmoon said.
"Alright. Well for starters, could you help the other pegasi with the ingredients to make the rainbows." Rainbow Dash pointed to a group of pegasi lifting up crates. Strangely large and sturdy crates.
"Oh, okay." Crystalmoon said. She was a little disappointed not to be making rainbows, but she didn't show it.
"I'll have my manager check on you later."
"Okay."
"Oh! And here's your uniform!"
*Time Skip*
Crystalmoon's shift from lifting crates was almost over. She was lucky to have two other ponies with her whom she made friends with. A shy Pegasus named Fluttershy from Ponyville, and one of her old life-long friends, a dark blue stallion with silver hair, and a cutie mark of a metal feather, Ironwings.
"I'm so glad there's a few other ponies to help me with these crate," FLuttershy said.
"Yeah. There weren't kidding about labor!" Crystalmoon grunted as she lifted the crate with the other two Pegasi.
"Yup. Say, Fluttershy, have you ever made a rainbow in the factory?" Ironwings asked.
"No. I've never been inside actually. Rainbow Dash, one of my best friends, said I couldn't handle it."
"Couldn't handle it?" Crystalmoon.
"She's probably right. I can't handle giant stuff like that." Fluttershy said.
"Like what?" Ironwings asked.
"I don't know. She said it's a lot of work." Fluttershy replied. *She doesn't know. I couldn't do that to such an INNOCENT pony! :3 Or will I?-
"Yeah. Probably," Crystalmoon agreed.
"By the way, what's in these crate?" Ironwings asked.
"I'm not sure." Fluttershy answered.
"Whatever it is, they need a lot of it." Ironwings assumed.
"They only load up once every month. I don't work here, but Rainbow Dash in is my friend, and I'll do anything for her!" Fluttershy said.
For the next two weeks, Crystalmoon worked lifting the crates. She could have sworn that she heard a muffled voice and a thump or two, but she assumed it was the stuff in the crates moving around.
Chapter 3
-Crystalmoon's POV-
The bright pink Pegasus flew to the factory as usual. For the last week, she had been asked many strange question. Things like "How easily do you feel guilt?" and other questions "You would give up your belongings for the sake of Equestria?" and "Can you keep a secret?" which was awfully strange.
Today was different. Rainbow Dash, CEO of the Rainbow Factory, was standing at the front of the factory with a paper and a quill in her hand. She greeting Crystalmoon with a smile.
"Hey Crystal!" Rainbow Dash greeted.
"Hey boss! What's up?" Crystal greeted back.
"Not much. Say I've been thinking about something. Your friend, Ironwings, already agreed to this, but would you like to work in the Rainbow Factory, and make rainbows?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Really? You mean it!?" Crystal gasped in shock.
"Yup!" Rainbow Dash said.
"Awesome! You don't have to ask me twice!"
"Great! Just sign this contract, and you're good to go!"
"Oh, okay." Crystal skimmed through the papers.
"Yeah, reading through it. Like a smart pony!" Rainbow teased.
"Hahaha yeah! Um... it says here that I have to... Give up my home!?"
"Hehe, yeah about that. We have dorms in the factory."
"But..."
"Look, get the things from your house and place them in your dorm room."
"But, why do I have to live there?"
"Well you see, there are ponies who are trying to steal the 'recipe' to make rainbows, you it's a hard and dedicated job. It takes a long time, a lot of Pegasus work, and pure dedication. And we just can't let ponies steal the recipe!"
"Well..."
"Last chance! Don't worry! We might let you out once in a while."
"Um..."
"It's up to you. And we'll let visitors come and see you. It's a high demand job, and it's an honor among ponies through Equestria to get this job! All ponies names who worked in the factory are mentioned. It's a bigger deal then you'd think!"
After a while of talking, Rainbow had convinced Crystal to work in the factory.
"All right! I'll do it!" Crystal agreed. She signed the contract.
"Awesome! Come in!" Rainbow used her keys to open the doors to the factory.
She led Crystal into the factory. It led to a small room, filled with uniforms, different then the one Crystal was wearing. At the end of the room, was another door. It was large and made of metal, and looked completely weapon proof. It required a passcode, a key, and a voice code to open! Talk about high security... Crystal thought.
"Here," Rainbow gave Crystal a new uniform. Unlike the white uniforms of the crate lifting ponies, the uniform of the Rainbow Factory ponies were also white, but had metal shin guards for the front legs. It consisted of a white hat with the Rainbow Factory symbol on it. It had dark gray cuffs for the front and back legs, but ehy weren't attached to each other.. Rainbow was wearing the same uniform, but she was wearing a badge. Strangely, the name tag on the badge read "Rainbow Blood" instead of "Rainbow Dash."
"Put this on." Rainbow instructed. "There's a changing room for new ponies like you over there." She pointed to a room on the other side of the room.
"Okay," Crystal changed into her new uniform. When she came out, Rainbow handed her a name tag.
"Here. Like the other pegasi here, you need a code name. My code name is Rainbow Blood."
"Okay..." The name seemed very dark.
"Yours can be Bloodmoon."
"B-Bloodmoon!?"
"Sure!"
"Can I have a different one. I don't know if this one suits me..."
"Sure I suits you! Just deal with it. You'll get used to it."
"Rainbow Blood"opened the giant metal door and leg "Bloodmoon" into the factory.
Bloodmoon gasped as she saw the factory. There was machinery everywhere... and ponies... Ponies wearing metal armor, and chopping the bits of corpses which lead into a giant metal crusher. Or... were they corpses...? Maybe not...
"A-Are those dead-" Before Bloodmoon could finish talking, Rainbow Blood took off and flew to a platform high in the factory. Bloodmoon followed here.
"This is the main machine. It's how we get most of the important work done!" Rainbow said.
"Ok... Um... Okay!" Bloodmoon tried to sound happy.
"Want to see how it works?" Rainbow Blood asked.
"Why not?" Bloodmoon said.
"Alright! Bring 'em up!" Rainbow Blood instructed to the pegasi below.
Two pegasi, a white Stallion with a dark gray mane, and a sharp knife cutie mark, and a golden mare with a rose-red mane and a crippling black rose cutie mark came. They came with a red unicorn with a red and white mane. Her cutie mark was a chef's hat. She unicorn's mane was messy, and her eyes showed pure fear.
"Show this new worker what we do here!" Rainbow instructed with a wide grin on her face.
The unicorn was attached to a large machine, exposing her chest and stomach. Her eyes were tearing up, and she was breathing heavily. Rainbow Blood turned on the machine, and a large machine-arm began to move. It had sharp needles, and looked like something made to kill.
Bloodmoon watched in horror as the machine stabbed the helpless unicorn, spraying blood everywhere. The pony became pale and her eyes rolled. After a few second, the pony was dropped onto the ground, dead.
Chapter 4
-Bloodmoon's POV-
Bloodmoon starred in shock when she heard the snap of bones. She ignored the fact that a small bit of blood was sprayed on her face. Rainbow Blood and the two other pegasi grinned cruelly.
"Wh-why!? Why would you kill a pony!?" Bloodmoon demanded. It was then she noticed that Rainbow Blood's cutie mark wasn't it's normal white thundercloud with a rainbow lighting bolt, but the same as the Rainbow Factory symbol.
"Oh, newbie! Don't you understand? THIS is how we make the rainbows! We need the unicorns for it!" the CEO of the factory said.
"But what do you do with the body!?" Bloodmoon demanded.
"We crush them up and use them! Sometimes I give them to my friends Pinkie Pie."
"What!?"
"Yeah. We reuse them sometimes. My friends Pinkie Pie makes cupcake out of the parts we dispose of."
"WHAT!?"
(I know, I know. Cupcakes has Rainbow dead, but I had to change it up just for- well why not? I like to do stuff.)
"Yeah. In exchange we get cupcakes for food."
"This is madness!"
"Calm down. Your friend Batwings already paid the price."
"Batwings? YOU MEAN IRONWINGS, DON'T YOU!?"
Rainbow Blood whistled and two pegasi brought a pale, dead body.
"IRONWINGS!" Bloodmoon cried out.
"He rebelled against it. He thought we had to be stopped. Silly pony. He had it coming." Rainbow Blood laughed to herself.
Bloodmoon grabbed the dead pony, she cried. She realized that his cutie mark was now a bat wing made of iron. Cutie marks... change here? What in the name of Equestria was happened!? Of all the things that had to happen...
"Anyways, I'm sure you noticed the change in cutiemarks? Well, we need to keep identities secret. Of course, a change in name and cutie mark doesn't do much, but it helps the Rainbow Factory workers identify each other. This place is shrouded in darkness, so we should be too. Now come on!"
Rainbow Blood pushed her to another part of the factory. The rooms where the ponies worked made their "homes."
"Here's your room." Rainbow pointed to an open room. It was small, and only consisted of a bed, desk, and a dresser.
"I'll give you a tour of the place." Rainbow added.
*time skip cuz I am lazy*
"So what do you think of the Rainbow Factory?" Rainbow Blood asked.
"It's... I don't think-" Bloodmoon began.
"Listen, newbie. You're going to work here, and you will enjoy it! I'm sure of it!" Rainbow interrupted.
"Yeah..." Bloodmoon reluctantly agreed. What had she gotten her self into.
"Oh! I almost forgot!" Rainbow Blood trotted away. Bloodmoon followed.
"What did you forget?" she asked.
"You're cutie mark!"
"I know... Why do they change?"
"We do it!"
"You do? How?"
"You'll see!" Rainbow had an insane glint in her eyes and a creepy grin. She looked pure insane.
"What?"
"Well, we are the pegasi of the Rainbow Factory! We are part of it! So we must look like it! We change the look of our cutie marks so we match the atmosphere of the factory. We are the insane!"
That wasn't just it. Rainbow... She looked insane... She looked as if she could kill a pony in a single whack of her hooves... Deadly...
"I'm fine with mine..." Bloodmoon said.
"No! Everypony has a changed cutie mark. Every pony loves it here! Don't worry! Many start off like you, but they all come out the same. Well most of the time. THey come out enjoying their job!"
"But... How do you do it?"
"We tattoo it! We force the unicorns to use permanent spells on them, so the cutie marks remain the same."
"You can't change the destiny of a pony!"
"I change mine. And I changed theirs! The pegasi that worked here!"
"They were forced to walk a new path!"
"Too bad!"
It was no use to protest. She's be killed.
*time skip*
Bloodmoon looked at her cutie mark. The purple moon was blood red, and the blue crystals were now bones.
"You're officially a member of this factory! We do this to make you a permanent member of the Rainbow Factory!" Rainbow Blood said.
"P-Permanent!?" Bloodmoon gasped.
"Yup! Now come on! You're going to help us deal with a unicorn that has been causing troubles lately." Rainbow Blood smiled.
"Where do you... get them?" Bloodmoon asked fearfully.
"What? The unicorns? Ha! We find the homeless ones on the streets, but when we can't find them, we steal the ones from the city!"
"And you haven't been caught!?"
"Oh, you'll be surprised!"
As Rainbow Blood and Bloodmoon to the machine, she spotted a white pony with a black and white mane, with a brown paw print cutie mark was on it, ready to die. The unicorn's yellow eyes widened.
"C-Crystalmoon!?" the unicorn gasped.
"Pawprint!?" Bloodmoon gasped.
"Oh! You two know each other?" Rainbow Blood asked.
"You work here!?" Pawprint half-shouted
"Not until today!" Bloodmoon replied.
"But why!?" the unicorn asked.
"I didn't know!" Bloodmoon said.
"DO IT!" Rainbow Blood demanded.
"Please! Spare her!" Bloodmoon begged.
"NO! DO IT OR ELSE YOU DIE AND MORE UNICORNS WILL BE KILLED! WE WILL HUNT DOWN YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY! YOUR FRIENDS WILL DIE TOO!"
"RAINBOW PLEASE!" Bloodmoon begged.
"YOU HAVE NO CHOICE!" Rainbow Blood yelled.
Slowly, and reluctantly, Bloodmoon began to turn the machine on and was about to pull the lever.
"WAIT, CRYSTALMOON! PLEASE DON'T DO IT!" Pawprint yelled.
"DO IT NOW!" Rainbow Blood threatened. She was being very serious about what she had said.
"NO!" Pawprint yelled.
"Think about it. You'll make the ponies of Equestria smile with a rainbow you helped make!" Rainbow Blood whispered into her ear.
"But..." Bloodmoon's voice trailed off.
"Just do it!" Rainbow Blood yelled.
"Pawprint, I-" Bloodmoon's eyes darted between her friend and Rainbow Blood. "I'm sorry..."
Bloodmoon pulled the lever.
