It was a nice day at ponyville as there's rainbow bash flying around " now, what have we learned? "Said Rainbow Dash talking to Fluttershy

"Screaming and hollering. " said Fluttershy as Rainbow Dash was circling around "Yes and most importantly. " Said Rainbow Dash as Fluttershy answer "passion. " said Fluttershy " right. " said Rainbow Dash as she landed

"So, now that you know the elements of a good cheer. Let's hear one. " said Rainbow Dash as Fluttershy inhales deeply and "Yay. " Whispered Fluttershy as Rainbow Dash was face hooved

" Ugh? you're gonna cheer for me like that? Louder. " Said Rainbow

"Yay. " Said Fluttershy

"Louder!" Yelled Rainbow Dash as Fluttershy inhales more deeply then

"Ya-a-a-y. " said Fluttershy as Rainbow gives up as she collapsed to the ground

" Too loud. " said Fluttershy as Rainbow Dash is up at the cloud way high as Fluttershy is at the ground "Yay. " Said Fluttershy as Rainbow Dash inhales deeply and she bounces two times the dives and flies into high speed "and now phase one of my routine." said Rainbow Dash as she's dashing the trees and passes Fluttershy

"Ooh. " said Fluttershy

" Phase two. " Said Rainbow Dash as she's spinning three clouds in top speed

" Way a go." Said Fluttershy

"Here we go - - phase three, the sonic rainboom."said Rainbow as she's going in impact "Come on! " as she's going to make suddenly she stops "uh oh. " then she's send flying backwards heading straight for Twilight's house

(Twilight's house )

"There the last one. " said Twilight as she's putting away her book "thank you so much for helping me clean up these books, guys. It was a crazy weekend of studying." Said Twilight thanking Ash,Applejack, Rarity, pinkie pie, and Shadow for helping the clean up

"No problem Twilight it's great to help you out. " said Ash which his words made Twilight blushed wasn't till they notice rainbow came crashing down then all the books were been falling being a mess again as Fluttershy shown up

"Rainbow Dash, you rock. Whoo hoo." said Fluttershy as she sees the mess

"did my cheering do that? "Said Fluttershy as Rainbow Dash got up

"Sorry about that ladies and gentlemen. " Then she looks at Fluttershy " That was a truly feeble performance. " Said Rainbow Dash

"Actually it wasn't all bad I particularly liked it when you made the clouds spin. " said Fluttershy

" Ugh, I'm not talking about my performance I'm talking about yours that feeble cheering." said Rainbow Dash which got thier friends confused

" What are you two arguing about? "Said Twilight

"Yes what's with the argument ? "said Ash

"We are arguing I'm sorry. " said Fluttershy

"Ugh. I wish you guys could come to cloudsdale to see me compete in the best young flier competiton. " said Rainbow

"What's that? "Said Ash and Twilight as those two blushed by saying it together

"It's where all the greatest pegasus fliers get together and show up different flying styles. Some are fast. " as she's running " and some are graceful." said pinkie pie as she tripped

"Golly, I'd love to see you strut your stuff in that compilation. " Said Applejack

"Yeah. I wish you guys could be there. Fluttershy's a great support, but her cheering isn't exactly inspirational. " said Rainbow

"Ooh! I'd love to see you make a sonic rainboom! It's like, the most coolest thing ever, even though I've never actually seen it but, I mean, come on! It's a sonic rainboom! How not cool could it possibly not be? " said pinkie pie

"What's a sonic rainboom? "Said Twilight

"You really need to get out more. The sonic rainboom is legendary! When a pegasus like rainbow Dash gets going so fast boom a sonic boom and a rainbow can happen all at once!. " said pinkie

"And rainbow Dash here's the only pony to ever pull it off."said Applejack

"That's interesting but I've never seen cloudsdale or sonic rainboom before " said Ash

" You too really need to learn more. " said Applejack

"It was a long time ago. Since I was a filly. " said Rainbow

"Yeah, but you're gonna do it again, right?"said Pinkie as Ash knows the look in her face knowing she's hiding something

"Are you kidding. I'm the greatest flier to ever come out of cloudsdale. I could do sonic rainbooms in my sleep." Said rainbow Dash

"Wow if you pull that off you'll win the crown for sure." Said Twilight

"The grand prize is an entire day with the wonderbolts a whole day of flying with my lifelong heroes. It'll be a dream come true! " said Rainbow Dash

"That'll be great. " said Shadow

"Yay. " Said Fluttershy

" I'm gonna rest up. Don't want to overprepare myself, you know?" She laughs then looks at Fluttershy " you, on the other hand, better keep practicing. I need a cheering section to match my spectacular performance. " Said rainbow Dash as she flew off

"She's practiced that move a hundred times,and she's never even come close to it, I don't know if I can cheer loud enough to help her." said Fluttershy as she flew off

"Well, guess we better get this cleaned up again. " said Twilight as she's picking up the book till

"Go on. Go on. " Said Rarity

" For what?"said Ash

"For Twilight to find a spell that will get us wingless ponies into cloudsdale. Didn't you see how nervous she was?"said Rarity

"That is true. " said Ash

" Nervous! Have you spit your bit or something? She was tooting her own horn. " said Applejack

" Oh please I have put on enough fashion shows regonized stage fright when I see it we've got to find a way to be there for her go on. " Said Rarity

" how am I supposed to find a flight spell in this mess?"said Twilight

" A flight spell? One sec." said pinkie as she runs and gives it to Twilight " page 27. " as Twilight turns to page 27

" How did you do that?"said Applejack

" It landed on my head when rainbow Dash knocked me in the bookcase. " said pinkie

"Here it is a spell that will allow earth ponies to fly for three days it looks really difficult I'm not sure I can do it. " said Twilight

"You got to try. " Said Rarity

" Okay but who's gonna volunteer to be the test subject. " said Twilight

" She's got a point. " Said Ash

" I agreed " said Shadow

" I will for rainbow Dash, I will go first. " said Rarity

" Here goes nothing. " said Twilight as she's focusing with her trying to use the spell to make Rarity fly as the spell made Twilight send flying then Ash came to pick her up "did it worked. " said Twilight as they see Rarity with wings till they see Ash going to the window.

"Ash where are you going?" Said Twilight

"I'll fly my way to cloudsdale while you use the spell on the others and you."said Ash as the others agreed with him but he's not the only one that is going

"Would i come Ash."said Shadow Ash knew that he wants to watch Rainbow to do her sonic rainboom and see Fluttershy there as he smiled

"Of course what are friends for. " Said Ash as he used his aura to levitate Shadow as they left

(Back with rainbow Dash and Fluttershy)

" You've got to learn to be assertive, Fluttershy. Don't be afraid to speak up. " said Rainbow Dash as her and Fluttershy are flying to the place called cloudsdale where there's so many pegasus ponies here as soon as Rainbow and Fluttershy landed till three pegasus ponies are standing at that spot

"Well, well, well. What do we have here. " said pegasus 1

"It's our old friend Rainbow crash." said pegasus 2

" Get kicked out of any flight schools lately? " as the 3 pegasus ponies were laughing at her

"I didn't get kicked out. " Said rainbow Dash

"Face it, rainbow crash. Flight schools had too many rules and not enough naptimes for you."

"(Scoffs) ask her about the sonic rainboom. "

" That's nothing but an old mare's tail. You don't have the skills to try something like that. " Said the pegasus till Fluttershy speaks up

" Now, wait just a minute." as they look at Fluttershy " I am sorry I'm trying to be more assertive. Anyhow, she is going to do a sonic rainboom. " Said Fluttershy

" No she's not, 'Cause there's no such thing. "

" Then show up at the cloudiseum and see for yourself. (Blink) uh, if you're free."said Fluttershy

(Laughter)

" Oh, don't worry we'll be there. "

" See you then rainbow crash." As the three pegasus ponies flew off

"Did you see that? I was so Assertive. " Said Fluttershy

"(Sighs) those guys are right . I won't be able to do it. " Said Rainbow

" But, Rainbow Dash, just because you failed the sonic rainboom 100.000 times doesn't mean you won't be able to do it in front of an entire stadium full of impatient, supercritical sports fan ponies." said Fluttershy which got Rainbow freaked out

"Aaah what do I do! Everypony's gonna see me fail! The wonderbolts will never let a loser like me join! Princess Celestia will probably banish me to the everfree forest! MY LIFE IS FINSHED! "said Rainbow Dash

" Rare." Whispered Fluttershy

" The sonic rainboom is way more than rare!"said Rainbow Dash

" R-Rarity? "As Fluttershy points then rainbow looks as they see Rarity with wings

"Rarity, are you flying? Said Rainbow

"I most certainly Am!"said Rarity

" And she's not alone. " said Ash along with Shadow

"Ash, Shadow what are you doing here? " Said rainbow

"Here to cheer you on at the cloudiseum. " said Ash

" That's right. " said Shadow

" Are my wings smashing. Twilight made them for me. I just adore them." said Rarity

" Why so shocked we couldn't leave our favorite flier without a big cheering section. " Said Rarity

" We?"said Rainbow as they see a balloon appeared with Twilight, Applejack and pinkie appeared

"I-i can't believe it!"said Rainbow

" It's incredible! "Said Fluttershy

" This is so cool! You guys made it! " Said rainbow

"Sure did. "Said pinkie as she's going to jump off

"Wait don't. "Warned rainbow as she sees Twilight, Applejack, pinkie and Shadow are standing on the cloud

"How'd you do that? Only pegasus ponies can walk on clouds. " Said rainbow

"Pretty cool huh." said pinkie

" I found a spell that makes temporary wings, but it was too difficult to do more than once, so I found the easier spell for the rest of us to walk on clouds. " said Twilight

" Which is more easier for me to let shadow have that spell while levitate him " said Ash

" And we came to cheer you to victory. " said Applejack

" To be honest, I was starting to get just a teeniest, tiniest bit nervous. but I'm feel alot better now you guys are here. Hey, we've got some time before the competition. Why don't Fluttershy and I show you around cloudsdale? " said Rainbow as they're all excited as they continue the tour "here it is the greatest city in the sky. " As they see the city while Rarity was looking at the mirror "some of the greatest pegasi in history came from cloudsdale " then they continued forward as the construction pegasus ponies see Rarity's wings as they said 'nice wings' to her as she thanks them and flew off

"Be careful with those wings, Rarity. They're made from gossamer and morning dew, and they're incredibly delicate." said Twilight

" Don't worry, Twilight. I'm sure they can't get worn out from too much attention. " Said Rarity

" That's what worries me sis. " said Shadow

" Since we're up here, I'd sure like to get a look at where the weather's made. " Said Applejack

" I agreed with you Applejack " said Ash

" Great idea. Come girls and guys to the weather factory! "Said rainbow as they're heading to the weather factory and got on uniforms

"this is where they make the snowflakes.

Each one is hoofmade. As you can see its a delicate operation. " Said rainbow as Rarity looks at the big ones

"Ooh, the snowflakes look even better from up here. " said Rarity till her wings have blown all the snowflakes over the place with the pegasus ponies getting them "we'd better move on before Rarity ruins winter and causes a drought. " Said rainbow as they continue the tour "and here's where they make the rainbows. " said Rainbow as pinkie taste the rainbow then her face turns into colors then was normal

" Spicy." said pinkie as she runs off as they laughed but they heard a sound

"Where did you get those wings I want a pair. "Turns out it was those three pegasus ponies rainbow and Fluttershy met looking at Rarity's wings then they see rainbow " Oh,hey, look. It's rainbow crash again. " said the pegasus till they laughed "Rarity, what are you doing talking to these guys? " said Rainbow

" Oh, they were just admiring my wings, Rainbow Dash. " Said Rarity

" Yeah,you should forget the sonic rainboom and just get yourself some wings like these. " Said the pegasus as they laugh and flew which made rainbow upset " Come on guys why don't we go see how clouds are made?"as they walked "don't listen to them. You're gonna win that competition for sure. " Said Fluttershy " are you kidding. I can't do the sonic rainboom. And just look at these boring old feathered wings I'm doomed . " Said Rainbow Dash as they're walking to where the clouds are made but things got worse when rainbow Dash sees Rarity was showing off her wings and said they're wings are old " Rarity, we're supposed to be helping rainbow Dash relax remember? Put those wings away and stop showing off. " said Twilight

" "Oh, how can you ask me to put away perfection? " Said Rarity as she's flying to the sun and there's beams showing up when her wings are at the sun "rainbow Dash are you Okay? you don't look so good. " Said Shadow as he's lookingat his ffriend " Of course! Why wouldn't I be okay? Everyone's so in love with Rarity's wings that they won't even notice when I totally blow it in the best young flier competiton. " said Rainbow Dash as she heard that the ponies want Rarity to enter the competition as she accepted to enter which got Rainbow freaked out" what am I going to do? I'll never win the competition now. " said RainbowDash

Morning at the cloudiseum as everypony is here in the cloudiseum ready to watch the pegasus ponies going to compete only because of Rarity then announcer was calling over princess Celestia and the wonderbolts are also the judges as Rainbow is watching the crowd and her friends going to cheer her on but she's afraidnow that everypony likes Rarity and her wings and she's thinking about quitting as she keeps switching the numbers as everypony was already named out which leaves her and Rarity left she's more worried till " feeling okay rainbow? " as she turned and see Ash walking to the view " it's nothing Ash, it just that Rarity was now the best pony around because of her wings. " Said rainbow Dash

" You're afraid are you. " said Ash as she nodded " Yes I'm afraid if I don't don't the sonic rainboom and everyone else will laugh at me. " Said rainbow Dash as Ash is ready to do his brother like talk to rainbow " Rainbow I know you can do it beecause you never give up on the sonic rainboom and don't listen to them they're jerks and I know you can do it. " said Ash as his words made rainbow better then she's ready to go till she look at him " Thanks Ash you're a good friend. " Said Rainbow as her and Rarity are entering as Ash returns to his friends

"Good luck, rainbow Dash. Just do your best. I hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty of changing our music. That rock ' n ' roll doesn't really match my wings. " Said Rarity as she's doing her dance " Come on,Rainbow Dash. You can do this. Just remember the routine. " said Rainbow as she's looking at the clouds " phase one. " as she's dashing through the clouds as Rainbow miss the turn then crashed into the wall as the three pegasus ponies are laughing at her while Rarity was still dancing

"Time for phase two. " Said Rainbow Dash as she's dashing the air and whirls the clouds "look phase two is working. " Said Fluttershy as they're cheering "That's our Rainbow. " said Shadow as him and Fluttershy are close together then blushed but the cloud hit her then it went straight to Celestia as as Rarity still dancing " And now for my grand finale I'll fly right up to the sun and beam my beautiful wings over the whole city of cloudsdale. Oh, they'll be talking about it for years! " Said Rarityas she's flying to the sky

"Looks like this is my last chance to turn things around. Phase three sonic ( gulp ) rainboom. Wings don't fail me now. " said Rainbow Dash as she flew so fast to the sky as everypony was watching as Rarity made it to the sun " look upon me, equestria, for I am Rarity! As she spreads her wings as everypony looked at her all of the sudden her wings were burnt from the sun as Rarity is falling screaming " uh no. Her wings evaporated into thin air! " Said twilight as she's falling way down as the wonderbolts are going to save her but failed as Rainbow Dash sees Rarity falling

"Hold on Rarity! I'm coming! " said Rainbow Dash as she's dashing down in the speed of light so fast to try to catch Rarity as Fluttershy cover her eyes so she won't look butas they see the sonic rainboom as Rainbow Dash went more faster then before " sonic rainboom she did it. She did it. Whoo! " said Fluttershy as Rainbow Dash saved Rarity and the wonderbolts as she's going back up as she sees the rainbow " Whoa! " Said rainbow Dash as she landed and everypony cheered

" I did. I did it! " said Rainbow Dash

" You sure did. oh thank you, rainbow Dash. You save my life. " said Rarity

"Well, yeah. I did that , too. (Chukles ) best day ever. " said Rainbow Dash as they all cheered for rainbow Dash as the competition is over its time for them to leave

" I want to apologies to all of you for getting me so carried away with my beautiful wings. I guess I just lost my head. " said Rarity as they forgive her

"And I'm especially sorry that I was so thoughtless as to jump into the contest at the last minute after you hadworked so hard to win it. Can you ever, ever forgive me. " said Rarity

"Aww, it's okay. Everything turned out all right,right? I just wished I could have met the wonderbolts when they were awake. " Said Rainbow as she felt the touched as she looked and see the wonderbolts as for Ash who was watching them with princess Celestia and the wonderbolts as his mind was thinking about something else "It's great that Rainbow Dash gets to meet the wonderbolts, but there's still things that are a mystery. My new friend Xl the Alicorn doesn't exist around here. And there's this dream I had about the other Alicorn wearing a hood who knows everything about me but why?" thought Ash as he hears his friends

"Hey Ash, I want to say thanks for cheering me up. " said Rainbow Dash

"No problem. that's what friends do. " said Ash

"Hey Ash maybe you can enter the competition next time along with your flying pokemon. " said Applejack

"Yeah, what if you can do a sonic Auraboom! "Said Pinkie as Ash rolled his eyes

"Not interested. " said Ash as he's going to leave till Fluttershy and Shadow are doing something mischief to him

"We understand Ash perhaps Twilight will find a other charming colt to enter the competition. "said Fluttershy as Ash stopped when he heard that then turns around

"She wouldn't you guys. " said Ash

"She will maybe she can talked to Gary Wonderbolt. " said Shadow

"Yeah she should. " Said Rainbow

" I'll show you I can do a sonic Auraboom! " said Ash as he's zooming into the sky so high as they watched him as he stops "I'll show you how I do this my way. " Said Ash as he went down to the speed of light as they see aura surrounding him then a sonic boom appeared append Ash went to top speed to the bottom to the sky as they see him up to the sky with aura in his mane and tail just as soon as he land

"Wow! Now that's Awesome! "Said Rainbow Dash

now that's it of the chapter 18 and now get ready for the next chapter how Ash is with the cutie mark crusaders and Fluttershy
